ROTC Military Ball

2012-11-19T09:34:00.002-05:00

Jordan attended the ROTC Military Ball.

Everyone is growing up way too fast for my brain to comprehend.

It's as if I don't even recognize these kids,

er adults, er teens anymore.

Although there are time when I recognize myself. LOL !

The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. 'Tis true.

T Shirt Contest - Final Product

2012-11-13T09:18:00.001-05:00

A few months back PrimeCare held a T Shirt contest where the employees could design a shirt that represents who we are. My design won and I won a $25.00 gift certificate.

So here it is ! Ta Da ! It reads, " Better Doctors + Better Staff = Better Care"

Spoiled ?

2012-11-12T08:08:00.003-05:00

Some say she's spoiled. I say ... whatever.

69th Annual Peanut Festival Parade

2012-11-12T08:06:00.003-05:00

Keep in mind that Dothan is the peanut capitol of the world !! So, we celebrate with a huge festival and parade each year.

We have a BOMB squad !!??

Oh! Instead of handing out candy, a huge cement truck

filled with ... can you guess?... PEANUTS

drives by and unloads them onto the street -- and the kids make a mad dash to gather up as many as they can -- lol lol

Hey, LOOK !!! JR ROTC 5th Platoon -- Private Jordan Marie Robinson ( Front Far Left)

Mama's proud :-)

9th Grade Honors Geometry

2012-11-12T07:51:00.001-05:00

One morning I woke up to this ... thing... on the kitchen table. I had no idea what it was but thought it was very pretty and well made. Jordan told me it was homework for geometry .. it's a tetrahedron. ( wha ??) What really kills me is that this isn't a project..it's just plain old homework. ( good grief !!)

Halloween Horror !!!!!!!!!

2012-10-29T09:13:00.000-04:00

One of Jordan's close friends, Yaewon, wants to study visual special effects in college. As you can see, she already experiments. Here she used toilet paper and glue with fake blood.

How awesome is that!! It is totally gross and the way she added the grayish black lines to form teeth looks so real. I think she has some real talent !! Go Yaewon!!

Time to Carve the Pumpkin

2012-10-22T13:01:00.002-04:00

The mad artist at work ...

The Corn Maze

2012-10-22T12:56:00.001-04:00

Yep, Jordan and I walked through a corn maze.

I must say that at first it was fun.

Until I ran into a dead end.

And everywhere I turned looked the same.

I got a little panicky. But after 20 minutes, we made it out -- whew !!

Alpin Farms

2012-10-22T12:54:00.000-04:00

We have a local farm that sells produce all year round.

But it's Fall when they really get into the groove.

Along with produce, train rides, petting zoo, and corn mazes,

they paint and decorate all of

their hay bails. Too Cute !

Happy Birthday, NOT!

2012-10-22T12:51:00.000-04:00

We love our local Mexican Restaurant. It's the BOMB !! Great food, Great Service, Great Prices...

but the best thing about it is the HUGE sombrero they put on your head if it's your birthday. So, I told our server it was dad's birthday -- LOL LOL

Botanical Gardens

2012-10-22T12:48:00.002-04:00

Each year our local Botanical Gardens features various Scarecrows.

Here's one .. no wait, that's Jordan !!

Here's one featuring NASA....

and the two monkeys who last traveled into outerspace.

Mrs Elly loved the roses.

Mom loved posing for pics !

Jordan met her ideal hunk: cute, quiet and had a box of chocolates.

Hey, Dad !!

This witch in a box was my favorite.

Ha Ha !! We all had fun and the weather was wonderful !!

iPhone 5

2012-10-22T12:43:00.002-04:00

Now keep in mind that my dad has never used a cell phone. (never)

So, when he pulled out his new iPhone 5, we were all a little surprised !

But not surprised that he asked Jordan how to use it - LOL

"Yes, PeePaw, just touch the screen."

"O, geeze, how am I going to get through this."

All Grown Up ! .... sort of

2012-10-22T12:39:00.002-04:00

Pee Paw and Miss Elly drove down from TN for a visit. Dad couldn't get over how much Jordan had grown. .... I know, right ??!!!

It was a great day out and we got to see a turtle -- Oreo loved this !

Pretty cat tails.

Talk Like A Pirate At Krispy Kreme

2012-09-20T11:43:00.000-04:00

We love Krispy Kreme !!

Apparantly, Sept 19th is National Talk Like A Pirate Day. Who Knew?? And to celebrate, Krispy Kreme gave out one free donut if you either came in dressed as a pirate or ordered a donut in "Piratesse".

Jordan and her BFF wanted to try it.

Hi, Boo -- I mean, Ahoy Matie !

They each got a free donut ! :-)

ARRRRR!
