ABS-CBN DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 (630 kHz Metro Manila) is the flagship AM station of ABS-CBN Corporation in the Philippines. The station'sstudio is located at the ABS-CBN Broadcast Center, Sgt. Esguerra Ave., cor. Mo. Ignacia St., Brgy. South Triangle, Diliman, Quezon City, while thetransmitter is located at F. Navarette St., Brgy. Panghulo, Obando, Bulacan. Search Engines
Search engines are programs that search documents for specified keywords and returns a list of the documents where the keywords were found. A search engine is really a general class of programs, however, the term is often used to specifically describe systems like Google, Bing and Yahoo! Search that enable users to search for documents on the World Wide Web.
Web Search Engines

Typically, Web search engines work by sending out a spider to fetch as many documents as possible. Another program, called an indexer, then reads these documents and creates an index based on the words contained in each document. Each search engine uses a proprietary algorithm to create its indices such that, ideally, only meaningful results are returned for each query.

Internet
The Internet is a global network connecting millions of computers. More than 100 countries are linked into exchanges of data, news and opinions. According to Internet World Stats, as of December 31, 2011 there was an estimated 2,267,233,742 Internet users worldwide. This represents 32.7% of the world's population.
Unlike online services, which are centrally controlled, the Internet is decentralized by design. Each Internet computer, called a host, is independent. Its operators can choose which Internet services to use and which local services to make available to the global Internet community. Remarkably, this anarchy by design works exceedingly well. There are a variety of ways to access the Internet. Most online services offer access to some Internet services. It is also possible to gain access through a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Who Owns the Internet?

No one actually owns the Internet, and no single person or organization controls the Internet in its entirety. The Internet is more of a concept than an actual tangible entity, and it relies on a physical infrastructure that connects networks to other networks.

OpenStack Grizzly
The follow-up to the Folsom release of the OpenStack open source cloud computing platform, OpenStack Grizzly debuted in April 2013 as the seventh release of OpenStack. With OpenStack Grizzly, the OpenStack Foundation has focused on adding broader support for compute, storage and networking technologies as well as greater scalability and ease of operations.
In terms of specific additions, OpenStack Grizzly features native support for VMware ESX and Microsoft's Hyper-V hypervisors, new "Cells" capabilities that facilitate managing multiple OpenStack compute environments as a single entity, and new block storage options. OpenStack Grizzly also provides more extensive software-defined networking (SDN) functionality.

Applications and Systems Software
An application is a program or group of programs designed for end users. Application software can be divided into two general classes: systems software and applications software. Systems software consists of low-level programs that interact with the computer at a very basic level. This includes operating systems, compilers, and utilities for managing computer resources.
In contrast, applications software (also called end-user programs) includes database programs, word processors, and spreadsheets. Figuratively speaking, applications software sits on top of systems software because it is unable to run without the operating system and system utilities.

Hardware
Refers to objects that you can actually touch, like disks, disk drives, display screens, keyboards, printers, boards, and chips. In contrast, software is untouchable. Software exists as ideas, concepts, and symbols, but it has no substance.
Books provide a useful analogy. The pages and the ink are the hardware, while the words, sentences, paragraphs, and the overall meaning are the software. A computer without software is like a book full of blank pages -- you need software to make the computer useful just as you need words to make a book meaningful.

Object-Oriented Programming
A type of programming in which programmers define not only the data type of a data structure, but also the types of operations (functions) that can be applied to the data structure. In this way, the data structure becomes an object that includes both data and functions. In addition, programmers can create relationships between one object and another. For example, objects can inheritcharacteristics from other objects.
One of the principal advantages of object-oriented programming techniques over procedural programming techniques is that they enable programmers to create modules that do not need to be changed when a new type of object is added. A programmer can simply create a new object that inherits many of its featuresfrom existing objects. This makes object-oriented programs easier to modify.

To perform object-oriented programming, one needs an object-oriented programming language (OOPL). Java, C++ and Smalltalk are three of the more popular languages, and there are also object-oriented versions of Pascal.

URL
Abbreviation of Uniform Resource Locator (URL) it is the global address of documents and other resources on the World Wide Web.
The first part of the URL is called a protocol identifier and it indicates what protocol to use, and the second part is called a resource name and it specifies the IP address or the domain name where the resource is located. The protocol identifier and the resource name are separated by a colon and two forward slashes.

For example, the two URLs below point to two different files at the domain pcwebopedia.com. The first specifies an executable file that should be fetched using the FTP protocol; the second specifies a Web page that should be fetched using the HTTP protocol:

A URL is one type of Uniform Resource Identifier (URI); the generic term for all types of names and addresses that refer to objects on the World Wide Web.

Offline Storage Table (OST)
An OST file, or offline storage table (.ost) file, is an offline Outlook Data File used by Microsoft Exchange Server that enables users to work with their messages and mail data even when access to the mail server isn't available. OST files are used in two scenarios: with Microsoft Exchange Server’s Cached Exchange Mode and with the Outlook Connector for Windows Live Hotmail when accessing Hotmail mail.

While a Microsoft Exchange Server user’s e-mails and other data items are normally saved directly on the mail server, OST files are an available option that enable a local copy of all the data to be stored on the user’s computer. These items are then automatically synched when access to the mail server is restored.
One of the biggest differences between OST files and the personal storage table (.pst) files used by Microsoft Outlook for managing POP3, IMAP and web-based mail accounts is that unlike PST files, OST files are tied to the mail account configuration and cannot be opened or backed up individually.

Cold Standby

(cōld stand´bī) (n.) A method of redundancy in which the secondary (i.e., backup) system is only called upon when the primary system fails. The system on cold standby receives scheduled data backups, but less frequently than a warm standby. Cold standby systems are used for non-critical applications or in cases where data is changed infrequently.

Smartphone

Smartphones are a handheld device that integrates mobile phone capabilities with the more common features of a handheld computer or PDA. Smartphones allow users to store information, e-mail, install programs, along with using a mobile phone in one device. For example a Smartphone could be a mobile phone with some PDA functions integrated into the device, or vise versa.

Google Chromecast

A small WiFi-enabled dongle device that connects to a television via a HDMI port to wirelessly stream video and music content to the TV screen from smartphone (both Android and Apple iOS), tablet, laptop or desktop computer devices. Google Chromecast made its debut in late July, 2013, and retails for $35, which is considerably less expensive than the $99 Apple TV that Chromecast competes against.

Initial reviews of Google Chromecast have been mixed, with many praising the low cost ($35) and the high video and audio quality while at the same time criticizing the limited functionality the initial release of Chromecast provides, particularly in terms of compatible streaming services and mobile apps.

Google Chromecast does currently support NetFlix, Google Play, YouTube and Pandora, and it also offers the ability to stream Web pages to the TV. Chromecast is also expected to add support for additional services in the near future.

Information Technology Degree

At the associate's degree level, typical courses include project-based information systems, Website database implementation, introduction to DHTML and Java Script, as well a mathematics based curriculum. The master's level of education in Information Technology typically spans two years and offers a more focused and advanced field study. Courses at this level range from principles of software engineering to advanced algorithms and program language. The PhD in IT is the highest degree level offered, and is often focused on research.
An Information technology degree differs from computer science in that one is expected to understand and explore management and information theory.

Personal Storage Table (PST)
A PST file, or personal storage table (.pst) file, is a Microsoft Outlook Data File that stores a user's Outlook data for POP3, IMAP and web-based mail accounts, including all mail folders and the items within the folders, such as emails, email attachments, to do items and appointments, contacts and more.
Personal storage table files are used by all versions of Microsoft Outlook, from Outlook 2000 up to Outlook 2010. PST files in early versions of Outlook (Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2002) were stored in ANSI format and have a maximum size of 2GB, while later versions save the PST file in Unicode format and have a maximum size of 20GB (Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007) or 50GB (Outlook 2010).

PST files can be compacted using the "Compact Now" option in Outlook's Data File Management area, and corrupted PST files can be repaired using either Microsoft’s ScanPST application or a third-party application.

A similar Outlook data file known as an OST file, or offline storage table (.ost) file, functions as a cache for Microsoft Outlook's Cached Exchange Mode feature. With OST files, Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Hotmail (via the Outlook Hotmail Connector) store archived versions of a user's Outlook or Hotmail data on a local computer instead of on the mail server in order to provide availability to these items when access to the server is unavailable.
