Sally's Song by Amy Lee live in Jay Leno's show

2008-10-14T21:40:00.000-07:00

Suddenly i search Sally's Song by Amy Lee on youtube and,, OMG!!!! i see amy lee performance sooooooooo percect with playing her grand piano and a harp while singing!!!! sooooooooo amazing performance. I think Amy Lee just have a little weigh loss, don't u think? She is my idol.Soo talented and beautiful! She performed this song live on The Jay Leno show on October 13 2008.

Amy's description of the song from EvClub:

"Hey guys! I just wanted to say a few things about Sally's song.
I first saw the Nightmare Before Christmas when I was about 13 years old. I loved it so much- the art, the music, the story- that I have watched it at least 40 times since then. It has been an inspiration to me since my artistic identity was just beginning to form, and it never gets old- it still puts me in the mood to create. I was the girl in high school who was blasting TNBC soundtrack in my car instead of whatever was cool back then. In all honesty, Sally's Song has always been "my song" on that CD, and I used to play it over and over, making up harmonies to sing with it. I just want to gush out loud that I am SO lucky that I got to do this. Please believe me when I say they couldn't have gotten a bigger fan to do it. The coolest part about it was that I had complete creative control. It was just like, "go for it!" and I got to recreate the song however I wanted. So I went to my good friend Will Hunt's studio in Ft. Worth (not the evanescence drummer, weird coincidence but its a totally different guy), who is a very creative producer and drummer, and we just had fun with it. I decided to whip out my new budding skill and play harp on the track, which I LOVE and intend to use much more in the future. Even though my version is different than the original, I wanted to pay homage to Danny Elfman and to Sally in every way I could, from the creepy background vocals to the droning harmonium (which reminds me of the accordian in the song). I can't wait for it to come out, I love it so much! Thanks Will! I'm not sure if you guys know this yet, but I'm going to play it on the Tonight Show on October 13. Tim will be up there with me. I hope you enjoy the song, I cant wait to hear what you think! love,
Amy "

Amy Lee Engagement 2007

2008-07-28T19:09:00.000-07:00

11th jan 2007

(CBS) Amy Lee of Evanescence announced her engagement Tuesday during a taping of an hour-long special on the Canadian music network MuchMusic. Noticing an engagement ring on the singer's finger, host VJ Devon Soltendieck asked Lee, "I notice there's a little — well, not little, it's pretty big. There's a little rock on your finger, and I'm sorry, I have to ask about it." "I got engaged last night," the 25-year-old singer said.

Amy Lee's Wedding 2007

2008-07-28T19:01:00.000-07:00

6th May 2007

From Arkansas Democrat-Gazette:Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee, formerly of Little Rock, wedded at her family’s west Little Rock home this past weekend.Ironically, about the same time she united in marriage, news broke of a major split in her band, and speculation began that the Grammywinning, multi-platinum group’s honeymoon might be over. But first, the happy news: The 25-year-old rocker married fiance Josh Hartzler, a 29-year-old New York-based therapist, on Sunday. For the 1 p.m. ceremony, the backyard was transformed into a picture-perfect setting replete with flowers. And, no, the goth goddess didn’t wear black but instead opted for an ivory-hued Victorian style dress and veil.Grandfather Bob Cargill of Fort Worth performed the ceremony. Sisters Carrie and Lori and friend Beth Wilson stood by her side, while Josh’s brothers Caleb and Aaron and his friend (and former Evanescence member) David Hodges stood by his.Evanescence guitarist Terry Balasamo was among the guests. The reception, with music by Brian Nahlin and Nick Devlin, was catered by Capers and included a robin’s egg-blue wedding cake by The Blue Cake Company. After a wedding night at the Peabody, the pair left for a honeymoon on an island south of the Bahamas.
