The Life Center Staff just completed a phenomenal Holy Spirit led calendar planning for 2011 - LOOK OUT, MADISON! What a joy to work with such loving and lovely people.

At the conclusion of the service today Josh & Stacy got married. There were so many wonderful things happening this weekend at elc. Over 60 food baskets given out to families in need, clothing items for kids and teenagers, the next generation choir concert and even a choir singing carols this morning. Just perfect. For Sale or Sold Out

Black Friday is an event that people wait for ALL year long. It’s a chance for people to buy all those things they “really need” at a “great deal.” People wait outside in frigid temperatures, all night long, just to be one of the first people to enter the store and get their deal. Some people are lucky and get the very last one, still FOR SALE, while others get trampled and/or lost only to arrive at an empty shelf that is SOLD OUT.

Are you FOR SALE or SOLD OUT?

God speak to me, I want to hear your voice, and then I will believe you are real… God please perform a miracle so that I can believe and follow you… Have you ever felt this way? Have you ever felt that all you need is one sign from the Lord in order to know he is REAL? If this is you or was you, in the past I want to let you know that the decision lies in you. YOU have to decide if you are FOR SALE or SOLD OUT!

Judas Iscariot was one of Jesus’ disciples (Luke 6:12-16). He followed Jesus for three and a half years. He witnessed miracles. He saw Peter walk on water. Jesus spoke with him and chose him to be one of his twelve disciples. He saw Jesus. He spoke with the Lord. He saw miracles. He betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Judas betrayed Jesus, because he was still FOR SALE.

What part of your life are you trading or negotiating, in exchange for Jesus? Judas looked the part of a Christian, yet it was just a pretense. His relationship with Jesus was not genuine (Matthew 26:16 & 25). He used terms of respect casually. When you say Jesus you are my Lord and Savior, do you mean it, or is it just the “Christian” thing to say? If it is the latter than you need to come back to the true meanings of the words. It is easy to talk the talk and fool everyone, but you need to stop playing games and start living it.

Have you been purchase by Jesus Christ, lock stock and barrel? Does HE own ALL of you? Does HE own every area of your life? Or has the world, your friends, your boyfriend, your girlfriend purchased you? If you have been purchased by the world, what is the cost? Is temporary satisfaction worth giving up eternity? Don’t give up, put in effort, fight the good fight and be SOLD OUT to Jesus!

What areas of my life are still for sale? Judas asked “What will you give me, if I give you HIM?” Are you asking the world “What will you give me, if I give up HIM?”

This past weekend’s Middle School Encounter Retreat was nothing short of miraculous. Around 25 middle school students sought and encountered God. The transformation that happened in these students was remarkable as well as inspirational. To all the middle school students who participated, this past weekend, I just want to encourage you in your commitment to the Lord and commend you for your courage to seek, encounter, and continue to seek God. The amazing thing is that anyone can encounter God if they seek him. An encounter with the Lord is not a onetime event, when you truly know the Lord. August 4th Service Update

As we approach the new school year we are also saying farewell for now to a generation of students leaving to college and other endevors. It has certainly been a joy to love and mentor these young adults (wow that's weird). Watching them grow through their triumph and trials has been very rewarding, possibly the one most rewarding experiances that I have ever had.

I'd like to briefly introduce you to one of our graduates Harry Bernard, an 18 year old student here @1211 Youth. Harry will be attending 220i in Baton Rouge, LA as part of Bethany World Prayer Center's youth and young adult interships. For 10 months Harry will giving all that he has to God! When he returns he will be attending North Central University.

This last Wednesday marked that last of an era for Harry as he's off now to take on the world! No more youth group! As his last Wed. he felt a calling to preach to our youth students about what God put on his heart. He preached about stepping out of the ring when fighting temptation, allowing God to fight for him/us. Harry did a wonderful job, God sure used him!

We thank God for bringing us the souls that he has, these kids will forever be on our hearts and we pray that God be with them, and that they will seek Him where ever they are and what ever they are doing! We will miss all of you that are leaving, we love you.

Fear Factor

To overcome your fears you have to confront them!

Last Wednesday night Rachel spoke on the fears that teens face today, whether the fear of fitting in, the fear of being alone, or the fear of your own potential. Everyone has fears and fear affects how you live. If you are living in fear you are not trusting in the Lord. To many people teens and adults included go to church on a Wednesday or Sunday, hear a good word, sing a few songs, and then return to the world to live in sin. They try to live by the worlds standards to avoid persecution. Our thought should be “More afraid am I of God’s judgment, than the judgment of people on the earth.” It’s time to face your fears and trust in the Lord perfect will for your life!

What a great week! The aroma of victory lingers from VBS each night; Moms and Dads actually playing with and enjoying their kids!! Imagine that! No fighting, screaming or yelling, only laughter and loving. Oh yes, there was some screaming when we were cheering for our families, or doing relay races or having water balloon tosses!! Then it was Encounter weekend, home of Freedom for the captives!! WOOHOO God is so faithful in that each time we host an ENCOUNTER God shows up in amazing ways; physical healings, forgiveness,deliverance,,,check out the video testimonies!! Journey classes keep rolling on Wednesday nights....so get with the program people. See what God is doing and become a part of the picture and not just in the stands!! Get a revelation of the Cross!! This weekend is Freedom weekend for the Men and Women of Life Center.We began 2 years ago to hold Encounter Weekends and this is yet another opportunity for the doors to be closed on the devil, and to begin to Journey forward into the Freedom and abundance that Jesus died to give us!! July 14th Service Update

Tonight at 1211 Youth...

This evening things were a bit different as Evangel Life Center is in the middle of its VBS (vacation bible school) week. That said we held our service tonight in the main sanctuary.

Worship was amazing tonight, it was another Deluge special! The message was on holiness delivered by James Murray via DVD. This vary message was delivered in Baton Rouge, LA during the youth convention that was held late last month that 1211 Youth attended. The Holy Spirit was moving tonight during an amazing altar call!

What an amazing night hope you all recieved a powerful message from the word of God!
