University Transfer Essay Workshop

Are you transferring soon? Come learn how to write a compelling personal statement for your university application. We will spend the first half of this one-hour workshop talking about what to include in your personal statement. In the second half, you will have an opportunity to talk one-on-one with a writing tutor about your essay. We will look specifically at the University of Washington's transfer essay prompts.

Join us Thursday, January 29, 2026 to learn more about the Ocean Research College Academy.
A presentation about ORCA will begin at 6pm in the Blue Heron Room at the Port of Everett (adjacent to ORCA).
There will be student presentations, and an opportunity to tour the ORCA space and learn more about the student research.
The evening will end with Q & A.

Open to all EvCC students, The Associated Student Body (ASB) Senate Meetings are held in Gray Wolf Hall, Room 166/168 from 2:30-4:30pm. The ASB Senate meets to discuss student issues and concerns at both the college and state level, as well as conduct business which includes the student budget proposals, reports on the college and Senate committee work, and provide feedback to the College Administration. Come provide input, share concerns, and gain valuable leadership skills, while enhancing your resume, college and scholarship applications.
