i'm on a family trip to Huangshan Mountain (where Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was filmed),

then off to see my cousin getting hitched in Malaysia!

i'll be back after Memorial Day.

and usually the standard is to have guest bloggers fill in,

but since i have a day job, i literally had no time to organize it all.

"This wedding was amazing. The couple had so many personal touches, made by themselves. Jenny made the dress that she wore during the ceremony, which was gorgeous. Jenny hand-drew each guests portrait, which was waiting for them at their seats for the reception. They kept with their eco-chic style by using bamboo plates and silverware, everyone was given their own wine glass to keep, they served food family style. Their close friend hand-crafted the beer that was served. There were so many personal touches that made this wedding both beautiful, meaningful, and chic."

{real wedding} a vintage intimate wedding in La Jolla...

"Tara and Aaron came to San Diego from Chicago for a very small intimate destination wedding with their closest family and friends. There was so much thought put into every detail of the day, and the result was a gorgeous vintage vibe. Her dress was very simple and cream colored, and she added some flair with leopard print heels, a beaded headband, and Anthropologie accessories. The vintage hotel was right on the beach in La Jolla so we were able to take the couple down to the shore (in an old London taxi no less!) for some beautiful seaside shots. The ceremony and reception were full of wonderful details too. They had a Polaroid camera on their guest book table for the guests to use next to their guest book entry, and beautiful florals. The most touching thing about the day was how Aaron couldn't stop crying happy tears during the ceremony when he first saw Tara walking down the aisle and during his vows. They are so in love and it showed. "
