Church Life Dinner (20 May 2013)

The Bible says that “those who are planted in the house of the Lord will flourish in the courts of the Lord” Psalm 92:13. Many people want to flourish and prosper, but they don’t want to be planted. We all need to make a decision to be planted in the house of the Lord and be committed to a church. Jesus says, “I will build my church”, and he invites you to be a part of that.

We believe that God’s primary way of advancing His kingdom is through the local church. God has a purpose for our lives and has called us to walk with others in fulfilling that call. You do not become a member of a church by signing a piece of paper, but by coming into agreement, coming into fellowship, and expressing your agreement.

If you feel that Every Nation Somerset West is the church where you would like to commit, then please come along to the Church Life Dinner (Monday, 20 May 2013). You will be able to find out more about who we are, meet some of the leaders, and ask any questions you may have. All of this happens over a delicious meal. Our desire is to serve you, helping you fulfill the destiny to which God has called you.

Spiritual Family Intake (12 May 2013)

The next Spiritual Family Intake is scheduled for Sunday, 12 May 2013.

The Spiritual Family Intake basically involves families making a public declaration at the end of the 09h30 worship service. If you feel that God is adding you to this spiritual family, then you have the opportunity of making the declaration. It is an awesome time where you can introduce yourselves to the congregation and verbalize your commitment to God and the spiritual family!

One Place Ascension Day Gathering (9 May 2013)

Ascension Day is celebrated 40 days after Easter Sunday which is this Thursday, 9 May. We celebrate the day when Jesus physically left earth and ascended into heaven.

We will be gathering with a few other churches in the Helderberg area for a time of worship and exhortation. The details are the following:

Time - 7pm
Venue - The Helderberg Centre (Urban Voice)

Welcome Back To Church!

We are excited to announce that we are having a "Welcome Back To Church" campaign for the month of May. We recognize that many of you have been attending faithfully throughout this year, however, there are many people who have been away due to holidays and family activities that have been interspersed throughout the weeks.

With this in mind we are welcoming every person and family back, and are looking forward to tremendous times of ministry to our church families in the months ahead.

Did you know that 7 out of 10 people who currently don't attend church have never been invited? Yet they would come if someone invited them? This is an amazing statistic! It provides a great opportunity for us attending church to do our part in reaching out to our family and friends who are not in a church on a faithful basis.

Our challenge is simple! Think of at least 10 people or families you can invite to our ‘Welcome Back To Church’ month of May. Write their names down and start looking for opportunities to invite them ‘Back To Church’! You also have the opportunity to invite them to your weekly life group meeting. For some, it might be the first time they have attended church? For others, it may be the encouragement they need to come back to church?

Let us be intentional and prayerful as we consider whom to invite. Again, at least 10 people, but if you feel led to invite more, by all means, go ahead! We are encouraging all our members to reach out with the love of God! We will pray that the Holy Spirit will open people’s hearts to receive His love and your invitation.
