I have made a blog page for my new Boutique! Check it out...like it..spread the word! You can order on Facebook for now but my website is coming very soon! The design of my website has been such a headache! I had to "let go" the first lady because we just weren't on the same page. After a lot of prayers and {stress}, I found the best, sweetest person to do it. We are on the same page and she emails me back..and doesn't wait a week to respond {like the last one!}. Anyways, if you need a logo, web design, printing services you should check her out! I don't personally know her but I like people that I just communicate through email and it seems like I do know her..I like that kind of service!

By the way..this is the logo she made for me, and I can't wait to show my website that she designed for me!

Today we had an awesome service at church today. We had around 20 people get baptized in the 9:30 service and I think 40 some total today. Wow! That is so amazing! Jared's brother, Daniel, was one of them. I loved seeing all the younger kids ready to take that step..and older ones to!

So sorry I have been neglecting my blog! I have had so much going on I haven't had anytime to blog! I have some really exciting news that I wanted to share, a long time dream of mine finally happened for me. I'm not sure how and why, but it all kind of came together. I have been praying about it for years now and God worked it out for me! I am opening a clothing boutique and will have other things too, like handbags, scarves, accessories, and hopefully more things in the future. For now it will be an online store and with HOPES of opening a store soon! I am praying for a store front so we will see what God has planned for my store, I have a spot that is exactly what I want!

My website/logo is being worked on, so hopefully it will be up and running very soon! I have been having so much fun picking out things that I love and want to sale to people. Yesterday I had pictures taken of some of my product with Melissa Sheets from Real Life Photography {check out her blog}, she is so amazing. She inspires me so much and I love getting her opinions on my business. I love that I don't even have to tell her what to do because I love her ideas, that's unusual for me because I'm so picky! Ha!

I want to sale cute things for people that are affordable, which is so hard to find these days! I also like to find things that are made in the USA {and good quality}, which is also hard to find.

So..here are a few pictures of some things I will have and please give me your opinions on them! I would love some feedback!

Go like A Belle Boutique on Facebook to get updates and I will have some sort of weekly special coming soon!

Tea party, Birthday party, and Snow!

2012-02-19T21:24:00.000-05:00

We had a fun and busy weekend!

Saturday, we took the girls to a tea party with Cinderella! It was at our local tea house and Cinderella and the sister's did little songs and played their parts very well. I think Wells and Harper had a good time!

Today we had a surprise birthday party for Jared's aunt Vicki!

My Mom and I made the cake for the party.

While we were eating it started SNOWING!! Yay!! I didn't think we would have any snow this year, it was so nice and pretty outside yesterday!

Hopefully we can get out and play some tomorrow!

Love never fails

2012-02-15T10:51:00.001-05:00

We had a very low key Valentine's Day! We went around and visited the Grandparent's and took them their Valentine's Day crafts.

Jared and I went to the Big Night Out at our church for our Valentine's date. It was so much fun and I so needed to get out for some adult time! They had it all fixed up and I think 200 people were there! I was excited about going out and then yesterday I got lazy and wanted to stay at home in my lounge clothes! I can be such a home-body!

I'm so glad I went and we got to hang out with some great people!

We sat with our friends Brent and Ashlee...

Mindi and Chad..

Carin and Chris...

We had prime rib {which was SO good}, they had music, speakers, and then our pastor spoke. We also took a T/F quiz about our spouse which was interesting to see what Jared "thinks" he knows about me!

It's so hard this day in time to focus on your spouse and make them your top priority, especially with kids in the mix! That's something that we need to work on in our marriage, taking time out just for the two of us, even if it's just sitting up and talking about our day to each other. We are bad about letting the computer, TV, and other things distract us from spending time together after our kids are in bed. Especially with Jared searching for jobs any chance he gets. We rarely ever go out just the two of us with out the kids. We didn't get each other anything for Valentine's Day and we are both very ok with that. We don't need to give gifts to show our love to each other {not that I think it's a bad thing}. I would rather have his help cleaning or helping with the kids! We see divorce all around us and it's so scary to see how common it is. I love to see older couples that have been married for so long, like my Grandparents {married 64 years}..so inspiring! I can't say we have the perfect marriage, but we do love each other dearly and we are going to focus more on making our marriage a priority!

“Love suffers long, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not promote itself, is not puffed up, does not behave badly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails” {1Corinthians 13:4-8}

Miscellany Monday...

2012-02-13T12:13:00.000-05:00

1. The circus was in town this weekend so we took the kids. We all really enjoyed it!

Finn's favorite part of the circus was getting this lemonade! He wanted to hold it the WHOLE time!{it was driving us a little crazy!}

2. I couldn't get over how beautiful and talented Adele was on the Grammy's. I have always liked her music, but now I'm even more in love with her. I think the whole world pretty much is going to be in love with her after seeing her on the Grammy's.

3. Speaking of music my FAVORITE song at the moment is "Free" by Dara Maclean. Love it!

4. Please pray for me as I take a new journey in my life. I finally decided to go after a dream of mine {after praying about it for a long time it all just kind of happened..gods doing I know!} so hopefully soon I can fill you all in on this! It's so exciting but really scary all at the same time..My head is going about 100 miles a minute and I have about 100 list laying around. I need a list telling me which list to go to first! Ha!

5. Really excited about The Voice tonight..another new favorite of mine..especially looking at Blake Shelton and Adam Levine..such cuties! I know that's why Jared loves it so much to! Ha!

Questions from Courtney..

2012-02-07T12:23:00.002-05:00

I am finally getting around to answering questions from Courtney that she tagged me in!

I'm not following all the rules {sorry Courtney!} because I am short on time..imagine that!

Here are some questions she had for me:

1. What is your favorite movie?

It's a mix up between Sweet Home Alabama and The Notebook. Those movies I can watch over and over and love them every time!

2. Coke, Diet Coke, Pepsi, or Diet Pepsi?

Between those Diet Coke but I really love Diet Dr Pepper!

3. If you could relive one day of your life, when would it be?

Any day before my Dad passed away. I wish he could be here today to see mine and Mindi's kids. He would love them so much and we might could have helped him in some way.

4. What is your go-to meal?

Anything in the crock pot if I'm making something..if I have nothing fixed then sandwiches!

5. Do you have a quote that you try to live by?

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

6. Where do you like to shop?

7. What would be your dream vacation?

I really want to take the kids to Disney World. Hopefully that is in our near future!

8. How do you relax and de-stress?

I like to relax and watch my shows after the kids are in bed! I LOVE The Voice and that is one show that Jared and I both really like! We usually don't agree on what we like to watch!

9. What are your favorite books?

Right now I am reading Kisses from Katie.

10. What does your normal day look like?

8:00 kids wake up and Finn comes and wakes me up! We eat breakfast and I get them ready for the day

12:00 We eat lunch

2:00 Wells naps again and Finn {he has started refusing naps} plays

5:30 Eat supper

7:30 Start bath time..read stories and bed

11. White gold or yellow gold?

I like both..just depends on what it is!

Miscellany Monday..weekend

2012-02-06T11:56:00.003-05:00

We have colds {once again} so we just stayed home this weekend and did some projects! My favorite weekends, not the cold part, but the project part!

I have been wanting to put some sort of curtains up in our living room for awhile, and finally decided on some! I needed some color and I thought it would give it a softer look. I have the shutter blinds in my house and didn't want to cover them up with anything. I also didn't want to hang a curtain rod all the way over the window. I have been brainstorming what I wanted to do, so I went to Lowe's and saw these curtain tie backs {they hold the curtains on the sides} and thought it would be cute to ruffle them on these little hooks. It turned out perfect!

On Saturday it was rainy and yucky, so I decided to start painting {or I started and really hoped that Jared would take over!}...and he did because he is AWESOME! He paints so good and I am so messy! He worked so hard all day Saturday painting for me. When he thought he was done I moved him to another room! Poor thing...

We have only been in our house for 3 years but the walls are terrible! They used a flat paint..need I say more.. NEVER use flat paint!!

We started with our bathroom. I wanted a dark gray color and it turned out so pretty. I will post pictures when I get everything like I want. I still have to move some decorations around like I want them, maybe make a few things..who knows!

Then I thought about how horrible the walls in our pantry looked so I decided to paint them gray as well. I am going to paint some sort of white design on the bottom. Haven't got that far...another un-finished project!

Then our hallway, from the garage, needed some work and I wanted a lighter color.

Check out those dirty spots on the left wall...ugh...can't stand it!

I am still working on getting everything like I want. I am trying my best to just use what I have and not go buy new things!

While we were painting the kids were crafting. Finn loves to paint and color now, and Wells loves to eat crayons! Ha! She likes to color some too!

Finn's masterpiece he was so proud off! I found this really cute idea on Pinterest where you can take their scribbles, cut them, and modge podge them onto a canvas. I think I'm going to do this with their art work. Love this idea!

Oh, How Pinteresting...Chalkboard

2012-02-01T11:28:00.001-05:00

I have been wanting to paint some chalkboard paint somewhere {really everywhere..i love it} to write things I want Finn to learn. I really wanted to paint this green color chalk paint {from pinterest}, but I got the notion yesterday to go ahead and paint and all I had was black.

When Jared came home he about flipped out because I painted the side of our cabinets! Finn had colored on them with a marker that I couldn't get off, so I just went ahead and painted it. Why not it's just paint!

I thought it turned out rather cute and we wrote the Pledge of Allegiance out to learn!

{and Wells scribbled on the bottom!}

My love for food..

2012-01-31T12:18:00.000-05:00

I love food and cooking good food. I do like to go out to eat some, but I feel like it takes me 30 minutes to clean the table and everything around it that I think they may touch{I'm a germaphobe!}. Therefore, for us it's so much easier to eat at home, and saves a lot of money! I have found so many recipes on Pinterest and could look up new recipes all day long. I usually like to see what's on sale at Foodlion, it's just the closet and most convenient grocery store to us. I really like getting meats at Harris Teeter but it's so easy to just run 2 seconds up the road to FL. I printed off these menu planner sheets from this blog and made me a book to right down for the next few weeks, so I could go get everything I will need for about 3 weeks. I like to find recipes that I have most of the ingredients for already and that would be easy and fairly cheap to make!

I pretty much use my crock pot about everyday and it makes life so much easier for me to have supper ready when Jared leaves early for school. Plus, with 2 little ones getting into everything it is super easy to throw it in the crock pot and give them my attention!

Especially with this little one getting into EVERY cabinet! I have locks on some but not all, she knows exactly which ones she can get into.

Today we are having Stroganoff with noodles and it smells so good. I can't wait for supper!

Tomorrow we are having this BBQ chicken and is the best recipe ever. It is one of our favorites and you should definitely fix this one!

Miscellany Monday!

2012-01-30T11:54:00.000-05:00

I wanted to post about Finn's 3 year check up for me to have. It went great, everything is perfect with him. We have had our concerns about his speech but his Dr asked him all the questions a 3 year old should know and he answered perfectly, he said we have nothing to be worried about. He is in the 90th % for his height and 80th % for his weight.

I put Wells in her little class at church yesterday for the first time..big deal for me! They said she did great and I know she enjoyed it. I was in Finn's class helping and we had so many kids I couldn't leave to go check on her. It about killed me but the girl did come tell me she was doing great.

Remember this desk I posted about...

I re-painted it and it's exactly what I wanted for our foyer. It took me maybe an hour to spray the primer and then the off white color. Now I just need to find a chair that will fit under it.

We finally got our little goat yesterday for Finn's birthday. Finn named him Boss and i'm going to try and get some pictures of him today. He was so scared yesterday we put him in the barn to get used to being at a new place. He wanted to run from us and kept running straight into the fence! Poor little guy!

Friday Favorite Things..

2012-01-27T10:58:00.002-05:00

Drinking coffee that taste like a cinnamon roll for breakfast..sometimes for lunch...definitely is a favorite of mine.

Going to antique stores has become a favorite of mine..I love old things and have been looking for an old scale for awhile now..finally found one and a new{old} piece of furniture for my new hutch. The window on front is made from the old dorms at Chapel Hill. Another favorite of ours!

Now just to figure out to do on the walls around it?? I'm thinking some sort of chunky wood shelves??

Finn always gets to pick out something for around $1 when we go out..he choose a pack of {chicken on a stick} thingys..that's the only word I could think of to describe them.

I have clothes coming out of my ears for Wells. Mindi passes down Harper's clothes and I don't even have room in her closet for all of them..it's just crazy but clothes are a fav of mine! Wells likes them to if you can't tell...when I open her closet she makes a b-line for the shoes!

My kids..oh man they melt my heart every second of the day. They are so loving and run and hug me about a million times a day. Finn kisses me and it seems like there is nothing else in the whole world. I do want Wells to be open with going up to other people, but {secretly} when we go out and I put her down around other people..she runs to me and puts her arms around my neck and won't let go..that I love{secretly}ha! When I even THINK about sending Finn to preschool this fall I could cry..like break down and cry..I don't know how I'm going to do it..

I am really looking forward to my Valentines date with Jared and my church!

Coffee Filter Wreath

2012-01-26T21:41:00.000-05:00

I think this is my favorite projects I have done so far! It turned out really cute and was actually fun. I like doing little projects like this while watching TV at night, it's how I like to decompress at night!

Start with a foam wreath or any type wreath/form you have or want to use, a pack of coffee filters, hot glue, and scissors. I wanted to use the brown filters{for a more vintage look} but all I had were the white. It will take about the whole pack to make it really full and pretty.

I folded the coffee filter in fourths and cut the end off, just so that end wasn't causing the glue not to hold it in place good.

I figured out as I went, that if you stick your fingers in the middle and make a flat spot to put the hot glue on, it sticks better and quicker!

{please ignore the paint on my hands from doing other projects, what can I say i'm obsessed with doing projects!}

Then just put it on the wreath and hold it for a second until it feels like it's sticking!

Then just keep going until you get the fullness you want. Tie some baking twine around the top to hook it on something! Like an old greenhouse window I found rummaging through Jared's Granddad's old sheds. {another fav of mine}

While your feeling crafty you can make a burlap banner for Valentines Day!

This is another project I am working on. I found this old desk at my MIL's house so I am giving it a makeover. Jared needs just a little area upstairs to put his computer {so I don't have to look at it, or MOVE it around the house anymore!!}

I'm thinking he might need an MacBook to go on that desk for graduation..or Shelli needs one to keep upstairs..I may be a tad bit obsessed with Apple products too!

iPhone pictures!

2012-01-25T11:22:00.000-05:00

I'm pretty sure this is over the weight limit for the stroller! Ha

I could seriously eat this girl up

and this one too..

until he decided to play with the beans this morning, and I found my new lipgloss and my VERY expensive bleaching tray {for my teeth!} in his beans!!! Where does he get these ideas??

My new favorite necklace, lace blazer, and boot socks {which I am obsessed with}!

This is why I don't take pictures of myself?? I had to post this to laugh at myself..what am I doing in this picture?

February Photo A Day Challenge!

2012-01-24T12:18:00.000-05:00

I am going to participate in the February Photo-a-day challenge from Fatmumslim! I thought it would fun to keep up with a photo from each day so I can look back next year and compare.

I can't wait to start!!

I am slowly adding recipes to my Recipes tab. My computer is having problems loading my pictures to blogger for some odd reason. When I put pics on my computer in iPhoto it takes like 2 days for me to be able to pull them up on blogger? Any suggestions??

Happy 3rd Birthday Finn and Harper!

2012-01-23T17:45:00.000-05:00

Today is Finn's 3rd birthday! We had Finn and Harper's birthday party on Saturday and the kids had a blast! We had it at a cheer gym that had the big inflatable slides and other fun things for the kids.

Mindi and I had Harper and Finn on the same day if you are new to our blog! Finn was 5 weeks early and Mindi was being induced! They are pretty much like twins with different Moms!

Sawyer, Harper, Wells and Finn

Mindi, Sawyer, Chad and Harper

Finn wanted a green tractor cake and Harper wanted a princess cake, so they had their own cakes!

We brought their presents home for them to open so they could have more time playing!

Today we took Finn to the mall to ride the carousel and train! Papaw Jimmy {Jared's Dad} met us there and ate lunch with us!

Finn and Wells loved the carousel!

I can't believe my little Finn is 3 years old today! He is such a sweet little boy and we love him dearly. He melts my heart everyday in different ways. He LOVES Sawyer and Harper to death and talks about them pretty much all day long. When we pray we always say at the end god bless and name everyone..he says "Parper and Saw saw"about 10 times! Ha!

Just thinking back to this day 3 years ago, I am so grateful that we have Finn today and he is a healthy, smart little boy! I thank God everyday for healing Finn and allowing him to come home with us so quickly. {Even though that week in the hospital seemed like 10 years}

13 Months

2012-01-19T15:06:00.000-05:00

Wells 13 months

I'm a little late posting this but better late than never! I wanted to have a post about each month so I would have it to go back. I'm terrible about keeping up with pictures so this helps me.

I can't express how sweet she is. She brings us so much joy and we love her to death! She walks, well runs everywhere and loves to follow Finn around. They actually play very good together but they do aggravate each other as well! She has starting dancing and turns circles round and round until she falls down. She thinks it's the best thing ever, me not so much, she usually ends up bumping her head.

She is eating really good now and loves to eat pretty much anything. There for awhile I was getting worried because she wasn't eating good, but she has turned around and started eating really good!

DIY Projects {part 2}

2012-01-18T15:31:00.000-05:00

Framed Mirror

Jared also framed my mirror in my bathroom and I distressed it. I am going to re-paint this bathroom when I figure out what color I want to paint it.

Painted Stool:

This is a super cheap and easy project. I got this little stool from the Habitat Store {which I love FYI} for 3 bucks! It was already painted white so I just taped it off, painted it, and sanded it a little to distress it.

Burlap ruffle lamp shade:

This was some leftover burlap from my wreath project. I didn't take a before picture because it was kind of a make up as you go project {while watching Grey's!}. Making a ruffle with burlap is SUPER easy because you just hold a string in the middle of your strip and pull it to ruffle! I am going to take pictures of the one I am making for my sister to show you. I just hot glued it on to the shade I already had on my mantle.

Side table:

This was a 3 dollar table from a yard sale that was gold and pretty ugly! I spray painted this and didn't do anything else to it. Right now it is being used in Wells' room to hold books and lamp. She pulls all the books off this table every day, 10 times a day, it is driving me crazy and it won't hold all of here books. Plus it looks pretty junky I think.

These are going to be book holders for the kids rooms! We are currently working on these and I am really excited about them. I found these idea on Pinterest! I still need to sand and paint them.

This is what I am making!

Source: littlelucylu.com via Shelli on Pinterest

Wood/Tin bar:

This is Jared's project {in basement} so I can't take any credit for this. I just wanted to show how cute it turned out for only 8 bucks! He used some wood from his Granddad and some old tin. He made those frames on the wall from some old barn wood. This literally took him one day to do.

Saving Jars:

I saw something similar to this on Pinterest but wanted to use something I already had. These are old sauce jars that I always keep. It's funny how I used to laugh at my Mom and Grandma about saving jars, containers, and plastic bags to reuse and now I do it too! The Tithing sticker got messed up so I need to remake it.

I tired to find where I saw this and can't for the life of me find it.

DIY projects {part 1}

2012-01-15T12:25:00.000-05:00

Free Changing Table:

This is one of my favorite projects! I was coming home from town one day thinking about re-doing Wells room to get all the dark furniture out and make it look more girly! I had been looking for a new changing table/dresser. I saw this sitting on the side of the road and of course drove past it. I got down the road and thought man that would be perfect for a changing table. I turned around and pulled in to check it out. I was going to go to the door and offer to buy it and nobody was home, so I assumed they were just giving it away. It was broken and all beat up, which was perfect because I was going to distress it! I loaded it in the back of my car, cleaned it really good, and sanded/distressed it! It turned out really cute and it was free!

Burlap Wreath:

This was a super cheap and easy project. I had a foam wreath and had 2 yards of burlap. I cut about 4 long pieces, wrapped my wreath first, and then just twisted and pin the burlap in. I like to change things often so I didn't glue it on! I made the flower by cutting some shear fabric in circles and gluing together in the middle.

Painted Rug:

My plan was to paint the rug under my kitchen table an off white color and do tan stripes on it. It was a red rug with the straw type material on the inside. Like an outdoors rug. Didn't turn out like I wanted because the red kept coming through after a WHOLE gallon of paint! So it ended up on the front porch and I bought a new rug at Ikea for under the table!

Lazy Susan:

This was a 3 dollar lazy Susan from Ikea that was just a natural wood. I painted it dark brown, then this aqua color, and sanded away!

Kids Bathroom redo:

I was getting so tired of bright/dark colors in my house! I really hate I didn't take a before/after picture of this bathroom. It was a BRIGHT dark yellow. It was awful! I wanted to lighten it up and give it a clean look! I started by painting the light green color that I painted our kitchen with but I added some white to it to lighten it up a little more. Jared put up the bead-board on the bottom with the molding around. He also framed the mirror just by gluing the wood to the mirror! It is a cheap easy way to dress up your bathrooms! I saw some people glued their wood together before putting it up, so much easier to just glue each piece to the mirror!

I am going to add some hooks to the molding {on the plain wall} to hang the kids towels on! Check out a new love of mine, the vintage milk vases in the old crate! Love them!

I still am looking for things to decorate with with some pops of color!

If you didn't notice I have a new blog design! It turned out so cute thanks to Erin at Designer Blogs!

Organize your Life

2012-01-12T16:10:00.000-05:00

One of of the things I want to work on this year is organizing! I am so unorganized and it is driving me crazy. One thing I can't stand {that is a constant battle around here} are paper's laying around everywhere! I need a place to put list, coupons {before I put them in my purse}, receipts, mail before I bring it to the office, and other paper's that get stacked up in my kitchen. Also, I had a calendar on my refrigerator and other magnets/pictures that just looked messy. I need a calendar in my kitchen, because that's where I spend most of my day, so I had to figure out a way to put one in the kitchen without the clutter. I found these boards at Wal-Mart that have these little sticky things on the back {it doesn't mess up paint when you pull them off}.

Now I can have my calendar, magnets, the paper organizer that is magnetic, you can write list {that aren't laying around}, and I can close the door and can't see anything!

My fridge is now clean of clutter except for a few pictures!

I am also in the process of making labels for things! I bought some clear sticky paper and made some labels!

My pantry is going to be all containers and NO boxes/bags! I bought these containers from Ikea, but need more to get everything transferred over. I still need to repaint my pantry and make labels for all my containers!

I still have a long way to go to get really organized but I am working on it!

Finally catching up!

We have been sooo crazy around here. Since Christmas I have been cleaning, trying to get myself organized, doing some makeovers to our house, going to doctors, PAINTING, PAINTING, and more cleaning.....ugh the list goes on! I did want to post some pictures from Christmas just so I would have them! {this little blog does some in handy when I made a book from all the pictures last year..I could pull up each month and have all the pictures organized!!}

My bearded husband..he finally shaved{thankfully}!

Wells got her first diamond necklace from Mimi, and her fist mini set of OPI nail polish from Aunt Mindi!

This girl LOVES baby dolls! She carries them around with her all day long.

Before church on Christmas Day!

Christmas at Papaw Jimmy's house.

We had such a wonderful Christmas!

As you can see in the pictures Finn fell in the shop with Jared and got a black eye! Then the night before New Year's Jared was outside hanging a swing under our deck, dropped a HUGE wrench{this thing is about 2 feet long!} on Finn's head and we spent all night in the emergency room! He got 3 staples{thankfully no concussion} in his head and hopefully we will he accident free for awhile!

Waiting to get them out in the Doctor's office! He didn't even cry and I was DREADING taking them out so bad!

I wish I could show you pictures of our house where I have re-painted and done some updates, but my little Finn has lost my camera card so I haven't taken any pictures yet! I will put them up as soon as I get a new card!
