Physicians Formula Super BB All in 1 Beauty Cream Review! BEFORE n AFTER

Hi guys, here is a review of my very first drugstore BB cream. BB creams is all the rage. Originated in Germany, then became popular in Korea and now here. Pretty much very cosmetic brand I know has come out with some kind of BB cream. BB stands of "Blemish Balm". It's supposed to treat blemishes, but now they're for so many purposes.

For example, Physicians Formula Super BB All in 1 Beauty Cream stands out to me. It claims to have 10+ benefits. Smoothing, Moisturizing, Protecting, Firming, Priming and Filling, Perfecting, Concealing Brightening, Line Softening and Long Wearing...Whew, that's a lot!

Product Claim/Description

Physicans Formula says,

"All-in-1 Miracle Cream!Ultra-blendable and lightweight cream effortlessly glides on, instantly infusing moisture, refining skin's surface and providing protection from the environment. Skin looks and feels smooth, glowing & naturally flawless.

Ultra-versatile beauty balm simplifies your morning beauty routine by delivering the benefits of Moisturizer, Foundation & SPF protection in one easy to use product!" (taken from Physicians Formula website)

Let's go through the claims one at a time shall we...

1. Smoothing- This is the same as priming and it applies smoothly on my skin and leaves a nice dewy finish. I really like it!

2.Moisturizing- It claims that it replaces moisturizer. Ok, that's an absurd claim. I do find it to be non drying, but there's no way it can replace a moisturizer. Still use a moisturizer.

3. Protecting- Can't go wrong with a good SPF 30! Love it. It's a great makeup to wear everyday!

4. Priming and Filling- It claims to have have a built in primer in it. Maybe it does because it applies smooth and very easy to blend. It doesn't seep into pores and the few fine lines I have.

5. Perfecting- It does a great job in evening out my skin tone. But I still need to set it with a powder to get that lil' bit of extra coverage I need.

6. Concealing/Brightening- Like what I said, it eves out the skin tone, however it doesn't cover up any blemishes and pimples. I still need to use a concealer. The best part is the brightening property. It gives my face a nice and healthy glow. I received compliments at work on how my skin looks great!

7. Line Softening- Can't really say much on this because I only have a few fine lines. However, it didn't crack or seep into few fine lines I have.

8. Long Wearing- I agree! I wore it at work for picture day and it looked great! I had it on from 7:30am to 3:00pm and the foundation remained perfect! Even El Hubby Cakes complimented how my skin looked when I got home!

SHADE
The shade I got is in Medium/Deep. It only comes in 3 shades. I was torn between Light/Medium or Medium Deep. There was no way for me to test the colors since the makeup/packaging was sealed. I took a chance and chose Medium Deep even though it looked like it would be too dark. To my luck, it matches my skin perfectly. But I have to tell you that it kind'a left my skin this weird grey cast, but once set with a powder, it was perfect!

TEXTURE/FINISH
The texture is quite thick and has an odd greasiness to it. But once applied on my face, it feels nice and moisturizing. It gives my face a dewy finish so I would only recommend it if you have dry or combination skin.

COVERAGE:
Sheer to medium. You will definitely need a concealer to cover up blemishes and pimples. Set with a powder for added coverage.

PRICE:
It retails for $14.95. It's a typical price for a drugstore foundation but you can get it at a lower price using coupons. I got mine at CVS for only $7.49 before taxes using coupons, then I got $10 extra care bucks back SCORE!!! See the photo below.

PACKAGING:
The fanciest/flashiest (if that's even a word) BB cream squeeze tube/packaging I've ever seen. And I love it! Stands out from the rest! Make sure you shake well because oil and makeup tend to separate.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
I love this BB cream. Yes, it has like a gazillion claims, but works very well for me. I just have to make sure to set it with a powder. I just don't like the limited shade selection O_o.

Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel in SeaShell. A gorgeous pale nude baby pink shade. I'm not a nail person but I really like this color because it gives my nails a hint of pink and gloss that gives life to my dull nails.

Revlon Colorburts Lip Butter in Sorbet. It's my first time trying the Lip Butters and I'm obsessed! Why haven't I tried them before? They glide on the lips like "butta.." , non drying and gives my lips a nice hint of color. Sorbet is a color in between Magenta and medium pink. It compliments my medium/tan skin tone very well.

Revlon Colorburts Lip Butter in Pink Lemonade is gorgeous a pale baby pink. My lips are too dark for this shade. It looks best on pale to light skin tone.

Sonia Kashuk Illuminating Liquid Foundation Review/Photos

Hey guys, I want to share a liquid foundation I've been enjoying lately. Actually, I've been testing quite a few foundations and this one is my current fave. It's the Perfecting Luminous Foundation by Sonia Kashuk! If you have dry skin and in desperate need of a foundation that moisturizes and will give your face a nice healthy glow, then this foundation might be for you!

PRODUCT CLAIM:

Taken from the Target website (target.com) It claims,

"Brighten dull skin and even out skin tone for a naturally flawless finish with this creamy foundation. Hydrating formula is infused with a moisturizing complex that replenishes the skin and illuminates the complexion."

SHADE:

On the Target website, there were only 6 shades available from light to medium and no dark at all. I hate it when companies do this. It doesn't hurt to make another bottle or two of dark shades, right? What about women with dark complexion, huh? The shade I got is 06 Camel, which is the darkest shade. It has a warm and yellow undertone that matches my skin perfectly. At first, I thought it was going to be too dark on my medium/tan skin tone, but it actually works.

FINISH/TEXTURE:

I love the texture and finish. The texture is creamy and quite thick yet easy to blend. I can apply it with my fingers, beauty blender sponge or foundation brush. It has a nice dewy finish that gave my face a healthy glow. You will love it if you have dry skin. I've gotten compliments whenever I wear it.

COVERAGE:

Medium yet buildable. For me, a little bit goes a long way. It was able to even out my skin tone with just a little bit. But I still had to use concealer under my eyes to cover slight dark circles.

LONGEVITY:
I noticed that this foundation doesn't last very long. For me, it lasted about 6 hours before I noticed a little fading. But I only applied a little bit, so maybe that's why it faded. I touched up a bit, but it wasn't too bad.

APPLICATOR/PACKAGING:

It's a hard plastic container/bottle with a pump. It's so convenient to have the pump. The pump allows me to dispense as little or as much product as I want.

Here's what it looks like on me...

I love a freshly applied foundation using my fingers. I also have concealer under my eyes. and a little powder to set it. I love how it looks!

After 7 hours...
You can see my natural oils seeped through and a little bit of the foundation faded. It needs touch ups, but not too bad.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
This has been one of my favorite foundation at the moment. Even though, it fades a little it at the end of the day, it makes up for the smooth and creamy texture, medium coverage and the dewy and healthy glow that it gives my face. I definitely recommend it to people with dry skin.

Spring Makeup with The Color Workshop

Spring is here!!! Oh how I love Spring. I get to wear flip flops, shorts and fun flirty dresses again. It's also my favorite time to wear beautiful Spring makeup colors such as pastels and brights. Not that I can't wear it anytime of the year, but it's more appropriate for the season. I wish it was Spring all year long. Here is my first Spring makeup look using The Color Workshop Ultimate Beauty Palette using greens and blues. I hope you guys enjoy!

I only used the eyeshadows. The colors I used are pigmented, smooth and easy to apply and blend.

1. shimmery light green on the inner 1/3 of the lid
2. Shimmery yellow green on the center of the lid
3. shimmery blue green on the outer 1/3, blended a bit on the crease and on the outer half of lower lash line
4. shimmery light yellow lightly blended on the crease (edge of the shimmery light green) for a nice transition
5. matte vanilla on the brow bone for highlight

GET THE LOOK

FACE:

-Primed my face with ELF face primer.

-Applied The Body Shop Extra Virgin Mineral liquid foundation in 305 using a foundation brush.

-Revlon Photo Ready concealer in light/medium applied under the eyes and around the nose and blended with the same foundation brush.

-Wet n Wild Coverall powder foundation used to set the makeup using a fluffy powder brush.

EYES:

-Urban Decay Primer Potion applied on the lids to keep the shadows from creasing.

-NYX eye base in White. It makes the eyeshadows more vibrant.

-The Color Workshop Ultimate Beauty palette (refer above photo for color placement).

-Applied Mirabella liquid eye liner on the upper lashline

-Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencil in Radium applied on the water line.

-L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara

CHEEKS:

-Maybelline blush in Coral Burst. It's a bright orange blush. I used very little of it using a stippling brush.

-Milani Mosaic blush in Afterglow applied under my cheekbones contour my face.

LIPS:

-Aquaphor lip treatment to prep my lips.

-Wet n Wild Fergie Perfect Pout lip color in Bebot Love! My favorite natural nude. Love this lipstick!

CVS Haul 3/24/13 using coupons

Hey guys, I want to share my mini CVS haul this week before it's too late. When shopping at drugstores, I learned not to act on impulse, but to shop wisely. There are so many things you can do to save money. For example, CVS have weekly sales you can take advantage of. You can use manufacturer's coupons as well as CVS coupons on top of the sale. I promise, you're gonna come out a winner!!!! *evil laugh*

I bought the BB cream by Physician's Formula today so it wasn't in the video.
If you buy $14 worth of Physicians Formula products, you get $10 extra care bucks in return. It's such a good deal with or without coupons, but you know me, I had to use coupons.
As you can see in the photo receipt below, I used the $3 coupon sticker on the BB cream and $5 coupon from my beauty rewards card. So instead of paying full price, I only paid $7.49 before taxes, then I got $10 extra care bucks back!!!! YES!!!

Bridesmaid Makeup Trial...

Hey guys, I just want to share a recent makeup job I did on my beautiful friend Erika. She's going to be one of the bridesmaids at her friend's wedding and she asked me if I could do her makeup. She showed me a photo inspiration of the makeup she wanted. It was a sultry, kinda smoky eyes but she wanted it to look appropriate for a wedding. I did my best to recreate it.

Here's what I did...

FACE:

Prepped her face with The Body Shop Vitamin E moisturizer. She has combination/oily skin, but had dry patches at the time. The Vitamin E moisturizer smoothed out her skin nicely.
Applied a little bit of MakeUpForEver face primer to make her makeup last longer
Using a damp beauty blender, I blended Graftobian HD cream foundation all over her face. This foundation is amazing and the beauty blender is perfect for blending it out. It was medium coverage and was able to cover a little bit of her blemishes and redness.
Covered the pimples and under eye circles with Sheer Cover concealer duo in light/medium using a concealer brush.
Dusted Ben Nye setting powder lightly all over the face to set the makeup.

EYES:

Urban Decay Primer Potion was applied on the lids to prevent eye shadows from creasing. Best eye primer ever!
Used a mix of Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and Wet n Wild I Heart Matte palette for the eyeshadows. Peach flesh color from WnW above the crease to add warmth/transition color, UD Bootycall on the lids, UD Snakebite on the outer 1/3 of the lid, UD Black out on the over V and crease to add definition and smoky effect, UD Foxy on the brow bone and Matte Brown from WnW on the outer half of the lower lash line.
Stila cream eye liner in Black was used to line the upper lash liner and water line. Cream/Gel liners last longer than regular eye liner pencil. I love it!
She brought her own false lashes so I don't know what brand but they look pretty natural.

CHEEKS:

I used a mix of Mac blush in Gingerly and Milani Mosaic blush in Sweet Cheeks and applied it on the apple of the cheeks blended up to the temples with a stippling brush.
A light contouring on the face using Milani Mosaic blush in Sunset Spice was applied under the cheekbones and forehead.

LIPS:

Aquaphor lip treatment to prep her lips. This stuff is amazeballs! It's moisturizing and prevents the lips from getting chapped.
Concealed her lips with Wet n Wild Color Icon lip liner in Willow and topped with a clear shimmery lip gloss.

She was very happy with the outcome and so was I. The makeup was very defined and a little smoky like what she wanted yet it still wedding appropriate.

Wet n Wild Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow in Metropolitan Nights Review, Swatches and Makeup Look

Finally, here is my review on the Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Photo Op Eyeshadow in Metropolitan Nights. I decided to review this palette last on purpose because it's my least favorite out of all the Photo Op collection. The colors are beautiful and compliment each other, but some are too subtle for my liking. You have to apply it a certain way to get the most color pay off out of them. If you're a person who likes subtle colors then this is for you. But it makes up for having the most intense black eye shadows I've ever tried. True black. Great for smoky eyes or any dark looks.

Wet n Wild says, "This palette of intensely-pigmented shadows comes in a range of textures from translucent highlights to subtle mattes to shimmering glitters-all of which the camera loves. It's satiny-smooth formula is nylon-treated and jet-milled for ultra-pigmented crease-resistant color that lasts all day. Be one of the glamorous, ohh flossy!"

What I like:

Colors. I love the color combination of white, yellow gold, taupe and black. I've never seen this combo elsewhere.
Finish. Just like the other Photo Op eyeshadows, I love how its a mix of shimmers and mattes. It really allows you to create a well balance look.
Longevity. With a good primer underneath, the colors will stay all day/night long!
The matte and shimmery black are super intense. True black. The shimmer disappears though, so you can't tell the difference between the two.
Packaging. Even though it's plastic, it's quite sturdy.
Price. Very affordable $6

What I don't like:

The yellow gold and taupe are very subtle to my liking. There's nothing wrong with this, but the color pay off is poor and quite difficult to blend. It just wasn't transferring on my eye shadow brush. But I found a solution. I used an eye sponge tip applicator and it worked.

You can see how subtle the yellow gold and taupe are while the 2 black eye shadows are pigmented and intense.

Here's the look I created using the palette. I did a dramatic and intense cut crease smoky eyes. I will have a tutorial coming soon where I will show you the best way to apply the colors and get the maximum color pay off of the shadows.

shimmery white: inner corners

shimmery yellow gold: lids

matte and shimmery black: outer v and crease

shimmery taupe: above the crease as a blending color (you can barely see it though)

I will have more details on the products I used soon...

Overall, the palette is a bit miss for me. The color pay off of the yellow gold and taupe is very poor and I will only use it again for the gorgeous black eye shadows. What are your thoughts? Have you tried this palette?

Birthday Month Recap! PIC HEAVY 2013

Oh February! I don't know whether to love or hate you? You weren't very good to me in the beginning but you redeemed yourself and made it all better in the end. Please read on to understand what I'm talking about lol.

Feb 2, 2013
I was rushed to the ER due to severe headaches. Great way to start my birthday month. My headaches were on and off 2 weeks prior and it became worse to the point where I was unable to function and it felt like my head was going to explode. Literally. It was pretty scary and made El Hubby Cakes scared as well. They ran some test and found nothing wrong, but maybe a flu. I tested negative for flu, but they still prescribed Tamiflu just in case. What did helped, well at least at the moment, was the pain killers. I wanted more. I was relaxed like I was floating hehe...

I was discharged the next day and my mom visited me at the apt. I was so happy to see her. I missed her so much. I cried her name when I was in pain. I just wanted my mom to be next to me so she can make my headache go away. Moms has that super power, you know? I felt better 2 days later and I was able to go back to work. However, the headaches slowly came back....

My Birthday. Woke up with a severe headache. Whoo hoo! I still went to work though and managed to put a little bit of makeup on so I could at least look decent. I passed out when I got home and to my surprise, I woke up to all my favorite food. El hubby Cakes got me all my favorite Filipino food that brought me back to childhood.

Mango Cake from Red Ribbon and Magnolia Ube ice cream. So good. Every bite was heaven. If you guys have't had Red Ribbon cakes, I highly recommend it. It's a Filipino bake shop and restaurant. They make really good cakes and pastries.

A breakfast plate of Bangus (Milkfish), longganisa, egg and garlic fried rice and Garlic Chicken from Chow King.

And of course, I had to have spaghetti. And not just any spaghetti, Filipino spaghetti from Jolibee. Super sweet and peppery!

My mom brought me her homemade Kare-Kare, a peanut stew with meat and vegetables. It was so good, I almost cried while eating lol. I really missed my mom's food.

My closest friends and I threw a big combined birthday party for us. I almost didn't show up because I was still feeling the bad headaches. But we have been planning for awhile and there was no way I was going to miss it. I just took it easy and left early.

Monica (Feb 18), Grace (Feb 10), Lupe (Feb 18) and me (Feb 7)

We had Tres Leches cake and of course, Lupe's special Chocoflan.

My friend Lupe made 3 kinds of Ceviche: crab, fish and shrimp. She also made the guacamole and Salsa. Everything was delicious!

I made this gorgeous plate of Chicken and Shrimp Lumpia. It's labor of love. I almost passed out trying to roll these bad boys lol. I'm just glad everyone loved it.

It's my friend Lupe's birthday and we decided to go to Benihana and use our birthday coupons. $30 worth of free food is pretty freakin' awesome. Just sign up for their email news letter so you can get yours too!

It was Lupe's first time and she really enjoyed her self. The food was really good and it was fun to see the chef cook our food and do a few tricks in front of us. We're going to make it a tradition every year!

We started with half orders of Shrimp Tempura Roll and Las Vegas Roll. Yummy!

Edemamde and Salad

Onion soup and 2 kinds of dipping sauces

Chicken Fried Rice. So freakin' good. It's super garlicky!

Lupe and I had the Hibachi Steak. It came with a side of mushrooms, zucchini, onions and shrimp. My steak was cooked medium. Very tasty!

Monica has the Mango Salmon with a side of shrimp, zucchini and sweet potatoes. It looked really good.

For dessert we had complimentary ice cream.

So that's my birthday month. I still had a great time even though I was sick for the most part. And oh, what helped me get better was a shot of antibiotics on the butt that my primary doctor gave me. The last time I got a shot on the butt was when I was 4 years old lol. It hurt like hell, but I felt better the next day. I really need to take of my health better. I don't ever want to get sick like that again.

The Color Workshop Ultimate Beauty Palette...only $7!!!

You guys know I'm a big fan of drugstore makeup, so when I was asked to try a makeup palette from The Color Workshop, I excitedly said yes! It's from the same company, Markwins International that created Wet n Wild cosmetics so I knew it was going to be a good one. The palette is cute and compact and it has all the makeup you need: 36 eyeshadows, 2 blushers, 8 pressed powders, 8 lipglosses, 2 eye liners, 2 lip liners, a sponge and some applicators. Wow, that's a lot of product in such a tiny palette. Now you might be wondering, is it any good? Well, I've been playing with it and I can honestly say that it's pretty good. The quality reminds me of the Coastal Scents or BH cosmetics 88 eye shadows palette that's really popular but for a much cheaper price. It's currently on sale at Walmart for $7!!!

What I like:

It's so cute and compact. It's about the size of a CD case. It's perfect for travelling.
It comes with a mirror. I love any palette with a mirror!
It has everything you need to do your makeup. Again, it has 36 eyeshadows, 2 blushers, 8 pressed powders, 8 lipglosses, 2 eye liners and 2 lip liners.
A great selection of eyeshadow colors: neutrals, pinks, purples, blues, grays and darks. You can definitely create a variety of looks.
The blushers are gorgeous, pigmented and blends very well.
The lip color and lip glosses are really nice. They have a great color pay off and are smooth on the lips and not too sticky.
The lip liners are smooth and doesn't tug on the lips.
The price. It retails for $10 but currently on sale at Walmart for $7!

What I don't like:

The texture and quality of the eye shadows is inconsistent. Some shadows are more pigmented than others and you have to pack it on or apply underneath a color base to get the best color pay off. But I say about 80 percent of the eyeshadows has a nice pigmentation, so it's not too bad.
The eye liners don't last very long.
The packaging is not very sturdy so don't drop it lol.

Here are the samples for the month of January...

A full size crease brush from SOHO. I'm a big brush junkie, especially blending brushes so I was so happy to see a crease/blending brush in the bag. The bristles are super soft. I'm so excited to try it.

A sample of Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil. Finally, my own Argan Oil. I've been hearing about this wonderful oil and I'm so happy I get to try it. It's a moisturizer for face, hair, body and cuticles. How awesome is that?

A sample of Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter. If you're following me on Instagram, you probably know that I'm a big body butter junkie, especially the ones from The Body Shop so I was so curious to try this one. Body Butter is much thicker and moisturizing than lotion. This one has a really nice citrus sweet scent. I really like it.

A sample of Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play. I've tried it before and I loved it!!! I'm not sure why I stopped using it lol. I'm so happy to see it again.

A full size Nailtini nail lacquer. I'm not a nail polish person, but I really love the red hot color. Super hot!!

Overall, I really like this month's Ipsy glam bag. It's a great variety of beauty samples. I can't wait for next month's glam bag!

Wet n Wild Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow in Dutchess Lounge Review/Swatches/Look

If you love dark smoky eyes then Wet n Wild Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow in Dutchess Lounge is for you! Unlike Maldives Sky and Dessert Island, Dutchess Lounge consist of dark colors with glitters and shimmers, perfect for smoky looks. The colors are sexy and elegant that are pigmented, smooth and easy to blend. Some of the colors even remind me of my Nars eyeshadows. I just wish the glitters were more prominent on my eyes, but other than that I love it!!!

Wet n Wild claims, "This palette of intensely-pigmented shadows comes in a range of textures from translucent highlights to subtle mattes to shimmering glitters-all of which the camera loves. It's satiny-smooth formula is nylon-treated and jet-milled for ultra-pigmented crease-resistant color that lasts all day. Be one of the glamorous, ohh flossy!"

What I like:

Colors. The dark ones are so intense. They are gorgeous on their own or you can layer for more dimension.
Pigmentation. All the colors are pigmented except for the matte purple.
Finish. It has one matte and the rest are shimmery and glittery. You can still create a well balanced look.
Texture/Formula: The colors are smooth and pigmented and easy to blend. However, you will get fallouts which is normal for dark eyeshadows so it's best to do your eye make up first before applying foundation.
Price. Very affordable! Only $6 or less at your local Walgreens!

What I don't like:

I just wish the glitters are more prominent on my eyes. The glitters disappear after awhile. I find that patting the colors makes the glitters stay on better.

1. Metallic Silver- Very shimmery and metallic silver. Pat on the color to get the most color pay off.
2. Dark Violet- Dark violet that's almost black with silver and purple glitters. Pat on the colors to make the glitters appear on the lids.
3. Shimmery Dark Grey -A dark gray with silver shimmers.
4. Shimmery Dark Eggplant - It's almost black with violet shimmers. It's so gorgeous!
5. Matte Purple - The least pigmented color in the palette but a gorgeous color nonetheless.

Overall, it's a great eyeshadow palette especially if you love dark smoky eye makeup. The colors are intense, pigmented and easy to blend. Like what I said, I just wish the glitters were more prominent because it disappears after while, but for the price and quality, it's still an awesome palette!

Bright and Bold Wet n Wild Maldives Sky Tutorial

Here is my first full face makeup of the year, yay! I gotta be honest, I haven't worn this much makeup in awhile and it feels a little weird. I'm also a little rusty on my makeup skills, especially applying false lashes. Was never best at it in the first place, but now I sucked even more. My hands were shaky and could never get the band to freakin' stick. Annoying, ugh! I did managed to put them on after uh...Forever...But they were crooked...Oh lawdy! Gotta get back to basics on how to apply falsies lol!

Just like what I said in my review HERE, Wet n Wild Fergie Photo-Op Eyeshadow palette in Maldives Sky is AMAZIIIIIING!!! Just like the name, the palette has the gorgeous colors of the Maldives Island/Sky...The brightest blue and teal/turquoise skies and gorgeous shimmery sand.

What I love about Maldives Sky are the matte colors. They are all beautiful, vibrant and so gorgeous on their own.

I used Fergie Perfect Pout lip color in Bebot Love. It's a natural nude color that compliments the bright and bold makeup. I love it!

Wet n Wild Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow in Maldives Sky Review/Photos/Swatches

Wet n Wild Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow palette in Maldives Sky is AMAZIIIIING! OMGaaahh! I've never been to the Maldives, but if I were to interpret the Maldives (from the photos I've seen on google) into an eye shadow palette, Maldives Sky would be it. It's rich, vibrant and true to color eyes shadows that are smooth and easy to blend. Perfection!

What I like:

Colors. They are bright and beautiful!
Pigmentation. All the colors are super pigmented and true to color. Color base is not necessary to make these colors pop. They stand out on their own. I love the teal and blue the most. So gorgeous!
Finish. I love how it's mostly mattes and one shimmery color. The shimmery is just perfect for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners and the mattes are solid colors. You can definitely create a well balanced look.
Texture/Formula. Very impressive shadows that are soft, smooth and easy to apply. That's very rare for a matte eye shadow.
Cute packaging
Price. It's only $6!!! You can get it at your local Walgreens drugstore.

What I don't like:

None! I love everything about this palette!

1. Shimmery Baby Blue- A soft baby blue with shimmers. Great for inner corner of the eyes, brow bone and lids for a pop of highlight. Apply in patting motion for the shimmers to show.

2. Matte purple- True to color cool purple with no shimmer or iridescent.

3. Matte Blue- True to color cool blue with no shimmer or iridescent. Great for all over the lids and above the crease.

4. Matte Teal- True to color cool teal with no shimmer or iridescent. Great for all over the lids.

5. Matte Dark Gray- True to color cool dark gray with no shimmer or iridescent. Great for all over the lids, over V and crease.

Hey guys, I'm back with another Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection review. I've been playing with the entire collection and I just can't get over how awesome it is. I'm rockin to some Fergie and Black Eyed Peas at this very moment to get me in the Fergalicious mood as I blog lol! I'm going to do a series of the Op-Eyeshadow palettes, which I'm totally in love with and I know you will too. Gorgeous palettes with amazing, pigmented colors with a super affordable price tag. For this post, I'm going to review Desert Festival. It's the first palette I played with. It consist of warm oranges and browns with shimmery to matte finishes that's perfect for either Fall or Summer. It reminds me of the MAC Spiced Chocolate Quad from 2008 without the chestnut color. I think it's a pretty good dupe.

What I like:

Colors. The colors compliment each other very well and you can create numerous eye looks with it.
Finishes. I love how it's a mix of shimmery and mattes. You can create a well balanced eye look.
Texture/Formula. Really smooth, soft and easy to blend.
Packaging. Very pretty and chic palette. It's compact so it would be great to bring for travelling. It fits nicely in my makeup bag.
Longevity. With a good primer underneath, the colors stays put for a long time.
Price. You can't go wring with $6!!! Super affordable.

What I don't like:

The shimmery light champagne is too translucent/sheer for my liking. It's difficult to pick up with a brush. I suggest using your finger or the sponge tip applicator that it comes with to get the maximum color pay off.

I love the sleek and chic packaging. Very compact and great for travelling.

Shimmery Champagne Pink- It's a gorgeous color in the pan, but it's too sheer for my liking.. I had to dip my brush really hard to pick up the color and it's not too noticeable on the eyes. I suggest using a color base underneath to make the color show.
Matte Burnt Orange- My absolute favorite color in the palette. A true burnt orange with no shimmers or iridescent. Reminds me of the burnt orange color in the sunset. Absolutely beautiful. It's a great all over the lid color or blending/transition color on the crease.
Shimmery Dark Brown- Super pigmented and smooth. The shimmer disappear when you brush or swipe the color. Instead, apply the color in patting motion to make the shimmer visible.
Shimmery Champagne Peach- A little sheer, but still visible. I love the peach sheen in it. SO gorgeous. I suggest to use a color base underneath to make the color stand out.
Matte Brown- Straight up brown with no shimmer and iridescent. Super pigmented and easy to apply and blend. Great for adding definition on the crease, lower lash line, liner (apply it wet) as well as filling in the eye brows. I love this!

Overall, it's a great eyeshadow palette with beautiful and pigmented colors. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Happy New Year, my LOVES!!! Here is my very first post of 2013...

I love a good creme/gel liner. One that doesn't budge, smudge and last all day. I've been using the new Wet n Wild On Edge creme liner in Little Black Dress from the Fergie Ceneterstage Collection and I really like it. For the price, it's a good creme liner that will stay put no matter what. You might wanna take out your waterproof makeup remover because this one is not going anywhere. Read more for my review...

PRODUCT CLAIM
Wet n Wild claims, "Whether you're trippin';flippin; ot stumbin; this velvet-rich, long-lasting eyeliner gives you the edge you need to always look G.L.A.M.O.R.O.U.S! With the precision of a liquid liner and the ease of a cream application, this waterproof formula stays on all day and night while you're dancing in the crowd of rockin' out on stage! Glides on easily for a smudgeproof, crease-resistant finish that'll have you living life on the cutting edge-Fergie-style!"

SHADE
Little Black Dress is a matte black color. It doesn't turn gray or fade. It stays a solid black.

TEXTURE, APPLICATION
It's creamy and applies smoothly. I used the brush that it came with and I was able to get a precise application. It dries quickly so be careful. I suggest apply the liner in short strokes, let it dry for a few seconds, then go over it again one more time.

OPACITY
I wasn't able to get a solid line at first application. You have to build opacity by layering 2-3x. The key is to apply once, let it dry for a few seconds, then go back for another application. This may sounds annoying, especially when you're in a hurry, but have a little patience.

LONGEVITY
Wet n Wild wasn't kidding when they said, "...this waterproof formula stays on all day ". It last all day and night. Amazing! I had it on for a good 7+ hours at work and even rubbed my eyes by accident a few times and it was still on. You need a good waterproof makeup remover to take it off.

PACKAGING
Comes in a small pot like most creme/gel liners with 0.10 oz of product (same amount of product in a MAC fluid line). It also comes with a full size eye liner brush that looks like a lip brush. It's firm and flat. I prefer an angled liner brush, but this works just fine.

PRICE
Only $4.99! Very affordable!

AVAILABILITY
So far, I've only seen it at my local Walgreens drugstores.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Overall, it's a really good creme liner. You may have to layer on the color to get the desired opacity, but it's ability to stay on for a long time makes up for it. In the end, you will still get your money's worth.

The Most Important Makeup of my Life... The "Perfect" Wedding Makeup

My wedding makeup is probably the most important makeup I've done on myself. All eyes were on me (and El Hubby Cakes too, of course lol), so I had to look flawless and almost "perfect". I was actually nervous because a week before my wedding, I had a dream that during the ceremony, my makeup was literally melting off my face like pouring caramel. So gross. It became more gooey and muddy when I tried to wipe it off with my hands O_o. OMG, as soon as I woke up, I text messaged my best friend Mon to tell her. I was so worried and scared out of my mind, I almost cried. LOL. That's why I wanted to make sure that my wedding makeup was on point. But is it possible? Is it possible to create the "perfect" makeup? Well, with the right products, tools and technique, it is!!! I can honestly say that my wedding day was the most beautiful I've ever felt. Oh and yes, I did my own makeup. Why hire a makeup artist when I can do it myself and do it best.

I will do a video tutorial on it when I get a chance, but for now, here's what I did...

SKINCARE

Skincare is just as important as the makeup. Having great skin is the first step in looking "perfect". A month before the wedding, I stopped eating junk food and drank lots of water. From my experience, what I eat reflects on my skin so I had to really make some changes with my diet. It was quite difficult for me because I love food! We're always eating at work and I always cook the most yummy and not so healthy food. My Instagram is proof of my love for food since 60% off all the photos I post are FOOD! So, I cooked healthier and completely change my diet. (Atleast for a little while haha) I ate lots protein, less carbs and devoured lots of greens and colorful vegetables and fruits.

Also, the skincare regimen I was using really helped to keep my oily/combination skin under control. I used The Body Shop Seaweed skin care line.

The Body Shop Seaweed facial wash- a gentle facial wash that washes away dirt and impurities.
The Body Shop Seaweed toner- I love this stuff!!! It removes traces of dirt and makeup that the face wash was unable to remove and it preps the face for the moisturizer.
The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Moisture lotion with SPF 15- A light weight and non-greasy day time moisturizer. It helps control the oil on my face.
The Body Shop Seaweed Night Treatment- A light moisturizer for night time. Love this too!!!

MAKEUP

FACE:
I bought new HD foundation and concealer at Sephora. My everyday foundation and concealer at the moment was okay, but I wanted something that will make my face look great in photographs and HD or high definition makeup was the way to go.

Make Up For Ever HD liquid foundation in N128- Amazing foundation I've ever tried. This stuff magically cover imperfections. I applied it using a buffer brush and blended it in circular motion until it's evenly distributed through out my face.

Makep Up For Ever HD concealer in 335- Luckily, I didn't have any blemishes or pimples to cover up, so I used it mainly for my light under eye circles. It's liquid, so it's very lightweight and didn't cake.

PUR Minerals powder mineral foundation in Tan- I used a fluffy face brush to dust a little bit on my face just to set the makeup in place.

BROWS:
Eyebrows frame the entire face and has the ability to change how one look. Thin brows makes me look older while thick brows makes me look young. I wanted my brows to look just right. Not too thin, thick or too dark.

Wet n Wild Brow Trio in Brunette- My favorite brow trio. Love how it comes with 2 shades of brow powder, one light and one dark and a wax to keep the hair in place. Using an angled brush, I applied the lighter shade on the inner half of my brows and the darker shade on the outer half. Then, I used a spooly to blend the colors for a natural look.

EYES:
Wedding eye makeup to me should look natural. I used earth tone and neutral eye shadow colors to enhance the eyes.

Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion- The best eye primer ever. I applied a little bit on my lids to prevent the eye shadows from creasing and fading.

Urban Decay Naked 2 palette- This palette has everything I needed to create a simple neutral look. I used foxy (matte beige) all over the lids and brow bone, tease (brownish taupe) on the crease, a mix of busted and blackout (shimmery dark brown and matte black) on the outer corner to add more definition and bootycall (shimmery champagne) on the inner corner of the eyes to add brightness. Sonia Kashuk gel eye liner in Ebony- I find gel liners last more than waterproof eye pencil. Using a small angled brush, I applied it on the upper lash line and water line.

CHEEKS:
I wanted a subtle peach color on my cheeks to add warmth and a healthy glow to my face. I bought 2 Illamasqua peach blushes at Sephora. They are so gorgeous, I couldn't resist!

Illamasqua cream blusher in Rude- Is a warm coral pink cream blush. I dabbed a little it on the apple of my cheeks as a base.

Illamasqua powder blusher in Lover- A true peach blush. I applied it on top of Rude. It was such a pretty combo. This technique allowed the blush to stay on longer.

LIPS:
I kept it natural just like the eye makeup. Kiko and I kissed a lot. I didn't want a bright lip color to stain his lips.

Aquaphor lip treatment- My new favorite lip moisturizer. I applied it on my lips to prevent it from drying.
Wet n Wild Lip Liner in Willow- My favorite natural nude lip liner. I applied it all over my lips as a base.
L'Oreal lipstick in in Pink Tranquilo- A pretty nude pink color applied on top of the lip liner.

And that's my "perfect" wedding makeup. Gosh, I didn't realize how long this post is until I finished writing lol. Thank you for reading.

Ipsy December 2012...Good Stuff!!!

I love, love, love this month's Ipsy bag. It looks like they have figured out to please their subscribers. So far they have been consistent in giving us awesome bags with more makeup. I hope they keep up the great work.

A sample of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil in Zero. They've included it before in a previous bag. I don't mind because I swear by this eye liner pencil and it's one of the best one I've tried. It's a rich and solid black that last a long time.

A full size NYX Ultra Pearl Mania in Charcoal Grey. It's such a gorgeous shimmery grey color. I usually don't play with grey eye shadows. Maybe I should!

Mirabella Prime for face and eyes. You can't go wrong with a primer for face and eyes in 1. I'm a sucker for primers and I'm glad to add this in my collection. I tried it on my hand and it's silicone base primer that's so smooth and silky. It reminded me of the famous Smashbox Photofinish face primer.

Full size Be A...Bombshell lip gloss in Hot Mess. It's a red hot lipgloss. Super pigmented! It's gorgeous on it's own or add on top of any red lipstick for a gorgeous shine. It's very sticky though, so you will hate it of you don't like sticky lip glosses.

Full size Mai Couture Highlighter Paper. They included a blush paper from the same brand before in a previous MyGlam bag, and I loved it. I'm quite excited to see one in a highlighter form.

Wet n Wild Fergie Perfect Pout Lipstick Collection...Review, Swatches and Photos.

Listen up Wet n Wild lipstick lovers!!! Here is a new lipstick collection from Wet n Wild that you will surely love. Wet n Wild recently released the Fergie Centerstage Collection at Walgreens. This collaboration is so exciting. I love Wet n Wild and I'm a huge Fergie fan. I'm so happy they chose Fergie to be their Global Beauty Ambassador.

In the collection are new eye shadow palettes, highlighters/bronzers, eye primer, gel liners, mascara and lipsticks. The Fergie Centerstage Collection Perfect Pout lip colors were the first ones I played with. They are just to die for. The colors are gorgeous with "Fergalicious" names that are fun and cool. They are very similar to the Mega Last lip colors at first glance, but they are completely different. Read on for my review.

It's bigger than the Mega Last and Mega Shield.

TEXTURE and FINISH
These lipsticks apply like a dream. The new non-drying and creamy formula is so impressive. In comparison to the Mega Last, they are much creamier and smoother in texture, almost like a lip balm. They have a glossy finish with the exception of D-Vinely Chilled (frosty finish) and are quite sheer and translucent. One application will give you a wash of color. It takes about 2-3 application for the color to completely show. I don't mind at all because I love how they feel on my lips.

PACKAGING
I'm not too keen on the packaging. The bullet look nice and sleek, but they are very similar to the Mega Last where the product doesn't retract all the way down. You have to be careful when taking on and off the cap or else you will nick the product.

LONGEVITY
Since they are creamy, they don't last very long. I've tested all the lipsticks and I find the lighter colors fade faster than the darker ones. They last about 2-3 hours. The dark lipsticks leaves a stain on my lips after awhile of eating and drinking. I like it! I don't feel the need to reapply.

PRICE
Just like the rest of the Wet n Wild collection, these are very affordable. They retail for $2.99 and are available at your local Walgreens drugstore.

Photos and Swatches

A033 Fergie Daily is a pale nude color, very similar to Mega Last lip color in Pink Suga. I can totally see Fergie in this color. It's a great nude color pair with dark smoky eyes. It's a bit too pale against my medium/tan skin tone but a little pink gloss will give it some dimension.

A034 Bebot Love. This is my absolute favorite from the collection. I love the color and name. It's the perfect natural nude color for my medium/tan skin tone. Great for everyday wear and will match any eye look. And just so you know, the word Bebot is a slang that means babe in Tagalog/Filipino.

A035 V.I. Pink is a soft candy pink color. It has a slight frosty sheen to it but still glossy. It's such a fun color to pair with green eye or neutral eye makeup.

A036 Penthouse Sweet is a medium cool pink color. It looks bright and quite scary in the tube, but it's actually soft on the lips. It's a wearable pink that is safe to wear everyday.

A037 Old School Glam is a red with pink undertone color. It appears to be red in the tube but you can see a little pink on my lips. It's also one of my favorites because it compliments my medium/tan skin tone very well.

A038 Saraghina is a true cool red color. It's luscious, rich and very classy. Great paired with neutral or cat eyes.

A039 Fuchsianista is a bright fuchsia with bluish-purple sheen (duochrome). I'm glad it's visible in the photo and swatch. It's such a gorgeous color. It's a nice color to wear during the Holidays.

A040 D-Vinely Chilled is a frosty burgundy/plum color. I usually don't like frosty lipsticks but this one is a pretty color and looks great on my medium/tan skin tone. This would be a great color to wear during the Holidays too.

A041 Ferguson Crest Cabernet looks deep red wine on the tube just like the name, but it appears to be more of a berry color on my lips.

A042 Pagan Angel is a black color. It appears to be translucent black on the swatch and brownish on my lips. It's my least favorite in the collection. I'm surprised to see it in the collection because I have no idea when I can wear it besides Halloween. But I'm sure Fergie can rock it better than I do!

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Overall, these are awesome lipsticks and I highly recommend it to everyone. The quality, texture and finish totally makes up for the packaging. They are super smooth, glossy and non drying. You will surely love them.

My Kind of Chirstmas

For some reason I felt like this Christmas was far by the best Christmas I've ever had. Of course, past Christmases were great but this year I feel extra good and fluffy inside. I told El Hubby Cakes how thankful I am for everything in my life. My life is not perfect. It never will be. But I have so many things to be thankful for...big and little things. And I'm so happy...happy than ever before!

Here's a recap of my kind of Christmas.

It consist of fun times with my 2 families, friends and amazing home-cooked food!

This is our Christmas tree. A 6 ft Fraser Fir tree. I initially wanted a small tree, but we ended up getting a big one. It was perfect!

The pizza was made by one of my bosses at work. She made homemade gourmet pizza for us as a way of saying thank you for all our hard work. We appreciate her! The Christmas Red Velvet cupcakes were made by a coworker's wife. It was so sweet of her!

The cute Christmas card is from my friend Grace. It's the little things that makes me feel mushy and fluffy inside. I love it. The Gingerbread cookies and Pistachio muffins are from coworkers at my other job at The Body Shop. My last day was the day before Christmas. I will miss all my coworkers. They are good people.

Spent Christmas Eve with my moms, grandma, aunt, cousins and nieces. As always my aunt and mom cooked the food and everything was delicious!

Beef Rib Roast with corn on the cob and asparagus cooked by my aunt. It was perfect! She's an amazing cook so I wasn't surprised lol. The meat was so tender and soft. She also made homemade gravy to go with it too.

Honey Baked Ham. I'm not a big fan of ham, but it's a staple every Holiday.

My aunt's special Macaroni Salad. It's the most simple dish to make but for some reason I can never get it right. I tried making it before, but it never turn out the same. She just makes it delicious. Creamy with big chicken flavor! Ate so much and took some to go!

Scalloped Potatoes. It's drowned in cheese.

My mom's homemade Leche Flan. Sigh...I didn't get to taste it. I was too full. I'm sure it was yummy!

We opened gifts at 12am. It's tradition.

Momocito was firts. Seeing his reaction as he opened all his gifts brought us so much joy!

My niece Elizabeth crying over her new Dr. Marten boots. LMAO too funny!

My niece Alexandra is so excited with her new Hello Kitty hat/hood with paws.

Love the reaction of my cousin as she opened her gift. She cried as soon as she saw the UGGS logo on the box haha. She always put her kids first. It's her turn for a treat!

My Lola likes her new hat! It's so cute on her.

At Christmas morning, El Hubby Cakes surprised me with Walking Dead goodies...calendar, board game and Rick Grimes action figure. He didn't want to get me Shane because he said I have a little crush on him haha. El Hubby is so silly and thoughtful. I told him not to get me anything but he still did lol. I was so surprised and I couldn't stop laughing lol.

Spent the rest of our Christmas Day with El Hubby's family.

El hubby's sister in made beef Pozole. Pozole is a hearty Mexican soup with meat and hominy. Then you add things like onions, cabbage and lime juice to add more flavor.

We also had homemade Tamales (chicken and beef).

Cabbage slaw with jalapenos as a topping to the tamales.

Spent the rest of the night with my brother in law and his girlfriend. We went to go see Django. I highly recommend it if you're a Tarantino fan. Then we dined at Open Sesame restaurant in Long Beach. First time trying it and it was delicious!

That's my Christmas! Simple yet fun with lots of laughter and food. Couldn't have asked for a better one.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil..Review with Photo Result

I'm happy with my skin at the moment, but the monthly breakouts I get from my period are really annoying. Good thing I have Tea Tree Oil from The Body Shop to help me get rid of them. It's a spot treatment for acne, pimples and blemishes that works very well. It's the only thing from their Tea Tree line that doesn't dry my face. I used to work at The Body Shop (yes, I'm finally admitting it lol) and it's one of the best sellers. Our clients swear by this stuff and they always stock up whenever it's on sale.

WHAT:

The Body Shop claims, "Targeted care for blemishes skin, Can be used direct on skin or facial. It's soothing, has antibacterial properties and does not dry out the skin."(taken from www.TheBodyShop.com) Besides acne/pimple treatment, I remember clients used to tell me they use Tea Tree oil for dandruff and treatment for keloids. I've only used it as a spot in treatment for my pimples and it works great. It takes about 2-4 days to see results. Not as quick as I want it to work, but it works! It just takes a little time.

INGREDIENTS:
Water, Alcohol Denat., PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polysorbate 20, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Limonene, t-Butyl Alcohol, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Citral, Leptospermum Petersonii (Lemon Tea Tree) Oil, Denatonium Benzoate, Tocopherol.
Some may think it's pure Tea Tree oil, but it's not. It actually only has 15% Tea Tree oil and the rest are Lemon Tea Tree oil, Brazil Nut oil and the ingredients listed above. I've never tried pure 100% Tea Tree oil so I can't say how it compare. I'm assuming it's more effective, but I'm pretty happy with The Body Shop Tea Tree oil because it works for me.

HOW:
It's pretty easy to use and can be added to any skin care regimen. Wash your face, tone, moisturize and dab some on your finger or a cotton swab and apply directly onto the blemish, acne or pimple. It's a clear liquid with a strong Tea Tree smell. It's smells like menthol and herbs. I suggest using it every night when you're not expose to the outside elements.

PRICE:
$9.00. It's very affordable and you get 10 ml of product. It will last you for while too depending on usage. I've had mine for 4 months and the bottle is still full. You can get it at any Body Shop stores or their online websitie. (It's currently 50% off online right now! Click HERE)

Get ready to be grossed out. Here are some photos/results of my pimple 2 weeks ago using the Tea Tree oil.

Day 1: A huge pimple right in the middle of my forehead. Great! A little bit of the white stuff or puss is slightly visible and it was painful ugh! El Hubby Cakes was begging to pop it!

Day 2: I saw a big difference. It didn't go away, but the pimple dried a little bit and it was less painful.

Day 4: I skipped day 3 because it looked the same as Day 2. It looked much better on Day 4. It's completely dry and almost gone.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
I love it. It's one of my favorite products in The Body Shop. I highly recommend it if you have Acne, pimples or blemishes. It may take a few days to see results, but it works!

Full size Epionce Resotorative Hand Cream. I'm beginning to be a sucker for hand creams. I've tried several brands for the past 2 weeks and I can't get enough of them. And this one is pretty amazing. It's light, smooth, non greasy and left my hands super soft even after washing my hands.

Full size Illamasqua lip and eye pencil in Thrash. Another Illamasqua, YES!!! It's a gorgeoys red orange pencil for the eyes and lips.

A sample of NuMe Style Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil. OMG! I have been wanting to try Argan oil. It's supposed to be very good for treating damanged hair. I can't wait to try it. The bottle looks like I will get a good 2-3 uses out of it.

Full size Perfumies Kissing Bandit solid perfume stick. Not really a perfume person like what I've mentioned before, but this one is pretty cool. It smells like sweet berry candy to me and I like it. The solid stick is easy to apply and it's so small, smaller than a chapstick and it fits in any pockets.

A sample of Skin&Co Roma Truffle Serum Hydro-Toning Day Face Serum. Never heard of this brand/product before, but it's supposed to slow down the signs of aging The tube is quite big for a sample, but there's barely any product inside. It's ok though since I'm not going to use it anyway.
