My very Own Domain

I've finally register my own domain. The existing that I'm using Wordpress, the blog is still on. Still I wanted to write for paid to post, I've to register my own domain to do so. Anything to do with my dogs, I'll write it here at Something Different.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused as I've no choice. I guess later, I'll get my own web hosting too. Easier for me to blog.

Page Rank - Finally

I've finally got 1/10 page rank for this blog. I just feel so happy with it. Never dream that this will happened. I've been working so hard updating my blog till I gave up. Now I've migrated to Wordpress and now back to blogspot after I've purchase my own domain.

I really need to thank my readers for their support especially Jess, who has been supporting my blog. Too bad, I've changed my website link and I also hardly blog on my dog cos I can't paste my video unless I post it to Youtube.

Skin Problem

My Lilo once has a serious skin problem where her fur drops (at her thigh). I keep sending her to the vets for help but no use. Bought her the medical shampoo, apply creams, wash her thigh with iodine & also taking medicine.

I finally give up and feed her with eggs only (daily) with some sugar added. I bath her with some dettol (antiseptic liquid) dilute in water once every two weeks only at her thigh (to kill germs). Thank goodness, there were some effects as I can see some hairs growing. I also feed her with fish oils.

In 2 months later, I can see even more hairs growing. Feeding eggs is good for a dogs who have skin disease which I used to hear. Under no circumstances, I tried and it works. If your dog has skin disease, dropping a lots of fur and medicine is not helping, why not try to feed your dog with eggs (one egg per day only) & see if it helps.

Same goes for Belle where her head has 3 nice beautiful spots, obvious spot!

Is not easy to train a dog especially for those first timer. For basic training, I learn it from Iam Smart Puppy like how to train a dog to sit, stay, wait & etc. I find this site very useful and helped me a lot. In order to train a dog, you must have lots of time & patience which I do not have much....hehehe......I only train them the sit command, crate command, down command & introducing a new puppy.

I do register with them for further advise. When belle turns certain weeks, Iam will send me a mail teaching me some new techniques. Refer this link. This is the site which I mentioned in my earlier post. Take a look & experience yourself.

Maya, My Husky

Today, when I reached home I was thinking why don't I take a peep and see how are my dogs doing. So, I walked into my wet kitchen & I crawled slowly to see. It was dark in the kitchen as I did not switch on my lights (so that my dog won't bark). I suddenly heard a loud bark, Woof......Woof....and then woof woof again.

I paused for a while and asked myself who's dog was that? How come never heard before? Someone got a new dog? It took me quite sometime to realise it was my Maya Barking. This is my first time listening to her bark. Hmm....after all, Husky knows how to guard my house and not like others saying Husky is not a good watch dog......hehehe..........(baby Maya pic).

The Daily Post

I was just clicking & hopefully finding some extra information's on dogs, I came across this website called The Daily Puppy which I find it very interesting. You can see a lots of dogs picture and owners introducing their dogs.

You can also watch some cute puppies doing some mischievous things which I wanted to do so but as of now, I'm still not able to do so because I do not know how. I know Google Video can help to upload & I'm still learning. Hopefully I can it done by end of this month.

Angel's Baby

This is Angel's babies photos. They were only few weeks old when I took them. They are actually sleeping on my pillow. Aren't they cute?

Every evening, after work, I'll will take them up to my room for a wipe as babies need to be very clean. If not, they will have milk rash like human babies. I bathe them one week once and blow dry them. If they catches cold, I'll be in deep trouble. Lucky, they are very strong.

This picture was taken when they were about 4 weeks plus (pic right) and here is another one taken when they were 6 weeks old. You can see them so hairy now....but their hairs hardly drops.

A Dog's Life

I've four dogs. One Pinscher (Lilo), one Beagle (Belle), one Schnauzer(Angel) and one Husky (Maya). Each of them has different characters.

Lilo (pic left) was brought home when she was 8 weeks old. She was so tiny with a sharp voice. I still remember on her second day, my hubby left her with me with both of us alone in the house. She was scared and so do I.

Lilo was my first puppy that I ever had (given by a friend). Since that day, I've been taking care of her and she's become my favourite pet. She sleeps with me and has her own pillow. Before getting her a pillow, she used to sleep on my husband's pillow. Did you know that dogs do dream or snores? When Lilo's dreaming, she will start kicking my husband's head. You can see her tiny little leg shaking (if is not a dream, then?)

She is a dog which I do not need to send for boarding when I go travelling (2 - 3 days). I can just leave 2 bowls of dog biscuits and let her roam freely in the house. She knows how to wee or poo in the toilet and also knows how to save her food for my 2 or 3 days trip. Not only that, she will also take good care of my house when I'm not in.

Belle (pic below) is my second dog which I bought. She is 19 months old now and super active. She like to jump up to my car and sits there watching the outside view. She is the dog who snores when she sleeps (only if she is too tired). During her teething, she enjoys chewing my cupboard & my bed (anything made of wood). Since Lilo knows how to use the bathroom, training Belle is easy. She just follow Lilo and do her business in the bathroom. That makes my life easier.

Belle is a dog who loves to eat. Since she eats anything, medicine and vitamins is not a problem for us. Unfortunately, the biggest problem is she can't afford to waste any foods especially her neighbours foods. She can stretch her hands or legs to the next cage and drag the foods into her cage. Just imagine what a mess she made!!

Belle is also a dog who hardly barks. She only barks for two things, FOODS & PLAY. When she wants to play or in excitement, she will bark. Otherwise, she is like a dog with a golden key in her mouth.

In my next, I'll introduce to you Angel & Maya.

Angel has the best character. She is my third dog aged 2 years plus. Angel was given by a friend. As I said, she has the best character among my all other dogs as she never fights for foods or with any dogs. She is a very patience dog even though Lilo always uses her nose and poke her.

One thing bad about Angel is she wees every time you touches her. I only got to train her properly is when she got pregnant. After given birth, she hardly wee or poo as this is normal for a dog who just delivered (need to feed her babies).

For the first two weeks, she eats very little and she licks back her wee. She needs to keep her place clean for her babies to live. Since then, every time I release her from the cage and let's her roam at the car porch, she will wee and poo. That keeps my house more cleaner.

By the way, Angel gave birth to 3 babies. Two girls and one boy. Is very hard for me to say goodbye to them (sold all the puppies) as I raised them from the day they were born. I sat next to Angel when she gave birth. It was something new to me and I was a bit panic when she delivered. Not sure if she manage to deliver smoothly or not or will the baby manage to grow up? Somehow, we (angel & I) manage to raise the babies to 8 weeks old before they got their new master.

Ok, my fourth dog, the Siberian Husky. Wow!! The fur was real thick compare to the rest of my dogs. I named her MAYA since Husky is the original breed by Chukchi tribes. Frankly speaking, I still cannot differentiate between a Husky & a Malamute (both are sledge dog).

Maya is going to be 8 months old & gosh...is teething time!! For every ones information, dogs are like children. Between 6 - 8 months onwards, they will change their baby's teeth to adult which means, baby teeth's will be gone....so do all my furniture and etc.

So far, Maya did not chew any of my furniture EXCEPT my car. She chew my tyre's rubber. Dig my side PVC panel which is part of the car accessories (in order to repair, it cost RM100 plus). What else? Oh, she even digs all the floor tiles out or chew my plants (which is normal for a dog). She is so interested in chewing my car every time I let her runs in the car porch. Now I have to park my car outside in order to secure the rest of my accessories or etc.

When she is inside the house, she's like an angel. I just leave her toys on the floor and she will plays with it. To my surprise, she knows how to wee in the toilet.

Actually, dogs are like children. At this age, Maya likes to play. When no other dogs play with her, she feels bored and started to find amusement to entertain herself. I actually spent a lots of time knowing their characters and understanding their behaviors.
