Hey, this is another great suggestion for toddler activities… go see a movie with your kids!

Anyway, Megan Fox is still sizzling hot in the movie… (sizzling hot?!). This Transformers movie has more action in it, more air action and more robots! They even have those big Constructicons you probably already saw on the cartoon version!

If you saw the Transformers cartoon movie.. You’ll probably remember OPtimus Prime being killed.. well it’s the same thing here, he got killed but again resurrected (sorry, spoiler).. See the movie, it’s worth your while.

My 3-year old son has grown so fast from a helpless and fragile infant to a super active toddler! Although he’s still not in pre-school yet, I am looking for some toddler activities that I can engage him on so that his day can be both physically and mentally productive.

I have been searching the web for some example and ideas of run and productive activities for a child not any more a babby but not going to a preschool yet… a toddler. Activities of a toddler of course includes crafts and coloring and other engaging and fun stuffs. And here are some of the things that I found out:

Indoor Toddler Activities

When we say Indoor activities, that’s also means fun and exciting toddler activities at home. These can be played with fun and entertainment, like I said.

Play House

A toddler playing house is one of the best way to keep him entertain. This activity can be both for boys and girls. Let them play around an imaginary kitchen, prepare a make believe pizza or dinner. Important thing is to make it engaging.

Coloring Activities

Toddlers love to make things with this hands and fingers. Let them color some coloring books and other related coloring activities. I bought my son a Dora The Explorer coloring book once.. but he just wrote the alphabet in it.. But now, I think he’s ready to do some coloring.

Read Book

Another great activity for a toddler to do inside the house is to read children’s books! Toddlers learn a lot by reading various books. Reading can add fun, joy and enjoyment when books contain stories, fairy tales, fun characters and some fun games.

These are just some example of toddler activities you can do indoors. There are other stuff you can engage your kids in if he still not in preschool yet.

We will post about it next time.

Anyway, we went to our family doctor june 22 to have Sean check out. His Pediatrician prescribed him a couple of cold meds and some antibiotic. Those are the things I wanted to share here… In case other daddies out there are searching about information about these drugs:

Amoxicillin - Amoxicillin (INN), formerly amoxycillin (BAN), is a moderate-spectrum, bacteriolytic, β-lactam antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is usually the drug of choice within the class because it is better absorbed, following oral administration, than other β-lactam antibiotics.

Amoxicillin is to be taken every 6 hours apparently. 7am - 1pm - 7am. That’s the instruction.

Nasatapp Syrup - to be taken also every 6 hours for 5 days.. Nasatapp Syrup is the one for the cold, I think. I ain’t no doing any advertisements here.

For cough - Zobrixol

SYRUP
Children under 2 years : 2.5mL twice a day
Children 2 - 5 years : 2.5mL thrice a day
Children 6 - 12 years : 5mL 2-3 times a day
Adults & children over 12 years : 10mL thrice daily during the first 2-3 days, then 10mL twice daily or 5mL thrice daily.

Acute and chronic disorders of the respiratory tract with pathology increased mucus viscosity, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, asthmatoid bronchitis, bronchial asthma with disturbances of secretion elimination, bronchiectasis and to encourage elimination of phlegm during inflammation of the nasal cavity and throat.

I saw this special news feature on our local tv station about children going to school for the first time. A Pediatrician or a Psychologist or someone said that the child maybe experiencing separation anxiety when he clings and cries when his parents will leave him to school all by himself.

What is Separation Anxiety?

Separation anxiety is a psychological condition in which an individual (in our case, a child) experiences excessive anxiety regarding separation from home or from people to whom the individual has a strong emotional attachment (like a father and mother). It becomes a disorder when the separation reaction becomes strong enough to impair peoples ability to conduct their day to day lives and relationships.

I wrote about Separation Anxiety on the Blogging Parents blog, go check it out. Thanks!

Make them responsible members of society. Teach them to help and support the needy. Make them a member of Blue Cross NC or any other NGO, non government groups.. this will be a big help in developing their personalities when they grow up.
