NJIT 72, Michigan 70 (FINAL): Don't adjust your screens. That's real. Michigan played with fire all afternoon, and NJIT couldn't miss. A really, really bad loss here for the Wolverines, as lowly NJIT was just 2-5 entering this game. NJIT shot 11 of 17 from 3-point range. The Highlanders were 58.7 percent from the field on the afternoon. Michigan, meanwhile, got 32 from Caris LeVert. But not much anywhere else. Zak Irvin went 2 of 11, 1 of 8 from 3, and finishes with just 5 points.

NJIT 68, Michigan 64 (2:30): Michigan's in trouble now. Damon Lynn cannot miss, he just buried another long 3-pointer. NJIT is a ridiculous 11 of 16 from downtown here, and just keeps hitting everything. LeVert has 27 to lead Michigan, who has to figure out a way to get some stops without fouling.

NJIT 61, Michigan 59 (4:32): NJIT is now 10 of 15 on 3-pointers after a crazy step-back triple by Damon Lynn puts the Highlanders back in front. Michigan had led, but this thing's going back and forth now.

NJIT 53, Michigan 52 (6:57): Well, it was worse. NJIT led by as many as seven points here in the second half after a 13-0 run. But the Wolverines have gotten back-to-back triples from Caris LeVert and Derrick Walton to cut it back to one. Albrecht just drew a charge, and the crowd goes from terrified to excited.

NJIT 46, Michigan 44 (10:35): Michigan continues to struggle both offensively and defensively, and with that, the Highlanders have a lead here in the second half. Michigan is now 17 of 43 from the floor. NJIT, meanwhile, is 19 of 32. Zak Irvin's just 2 of 8 from the floor, Caris LeVert has 14 points, but is 6 of 13. Not much intensity still, but that needs to change soon, otherwise Michigan's in trouble.

Michigan 44, NJIT 40 (15:01): Michigan's defense has been pretty much non-existent here in this one. NJIT is 17 of 27 from the floor, an even 63 percent. Caris LeVert paces the Wolverines with 14 points and 4 rebounds, but the overall intensity has been lacking.

Mary Landrieu Is Defeated by Bill Cassidy in Louisiana Senate Runoff

BATON ROUGE, La. — Mary L. Landrieu, the last Deep South Democrat in the United States Senate, was defeated in a runoff election here Saturday by Bill Cassidy, a Republican congressman who incessantly attacked the incumbent for her support of President Obama.

With Mr. Cassidy’s victory in what had been the last undecided Senate race of the midterm elections, the Republicans gained a total of nine Senate seats, giving them 54 senators and firm control of the upper chamber when the 114th Congress convenes in January.

For Democrats, Saturday’s outcome was yet another sobering reminder of their party’s declining prospects in the South, a region they dominated for much of the 20th century. Ms. Landrieu was the last statewide elected Democrat in Louisiana, and Mr. Cassidy will join a fellow Louisiana Republican, David Vitter, in the Senate, making it the first time in 138 years that a Democrat from the state has not sat in the Senate.

Speaking to supporters at the Crowne Plaza Hotel here, Mr. Cassidy said, “This victory happened because people in Louisiana voted for a government which serves us but does not tell us what to do. Thank y’all.”

Even though Ms. Landrieu narrowly edged out Mr. Cassidy in a multicandidate primary in November, his victory was widely expected. A second conservative candidate with a significant following, Rob Maness, ran a strong third in the primary, and subsequently endorsed Mr. Cassidy.

As in much of the South, Louisiana has seen many white Democrats defect to the Republican Party. Compounding Democrats’ problems was Hurricane Katrina in 2005, which forced roughly 125,000 reliably Democratic voters to permanently relocate to other states.

Mr. Cassidy, 57, is an associate professor of medicine at Louisiana State University who joined the House of Representatives in 2009. He closely followed the Republicans’ overall strategy this year of nationalizing congressional races and linking Democrats to President Obama. Mr. Cassidy’s campaign and the outside groups supporting it regularly noted that Ms. Landrieu had voted with Mr. Obama 97 percent of the time.

Mr. Cassidy also repeatedly promised to seek the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which Ms. Landrieu voted for.

Louisiana regularly ranks as one of the poorest and unhealthiest states in the country, but Mr. Cassidy’s biography allowed him to pre-emptively combat suggestions that he was insensitive to the needs of the poor: According to his congressional website, he founded a community health care clinic, treated uninsured patients at the public Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge for two decades, and set up an emergency medical facility for Katrina evacuees in an abandoned Kmart shortly after the storm.

An early ad featured him in green scrubs and a lab coat, poring over a dog-eared copy of the health care bill by lamplight.

“Most in Congress who voted for Obamacare never read the bill,” he said in the ad, adding: “I read the bill. It was clear there would be canceled plans, expensive premiums, no guarantee you could keep your doctor. I voted no.”

For Ms. Landrieu, 59, the daughter of former Mayor Moon Landrieu of New Orleans and the sister of the current mayor, Mitch Landrieu, the defeat brings an end to an 18-year run in the Senate in which she earned a reputation as a Democratic Party nonconformist, particularly with her staunch support of the oil and gas industry.

Her prospects in the runoff dimmed after the Nov. 4 election, when Democrats lost their majority in the Senate. That meant that she would no longer chair the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, which had given her significant sway over the oil and gas industry, which is crucial to Louisiana’s economy.

Senate Republicans also promised Mr. Cassidy a spot on the Energy Committee if he were to win, further undermining Ms. Landrieu’s ability to claim that she was uniquely positioned to protect oil jobs in the state.

Last month, Ms. Landrieu was also unable to rally enough fellow Democrats to support a bill approving the Keystone XL oil pipeline. She had hoped that its passage would show that she could still be a major player in setting national energy policy.

Her natural allies also appeared to have abandoned her in the advertising war. A Center for Public Integrity data analysis found that ads by groups backing the senator amounted to less than 1 percent of the 14,000 total TV ads that ran during the runoff period.

In August, Republicans seized on revelations in The Washington Post that Ms. Landrieu claimed her parents’ house in New Orleans as her primary residence in campaign qualifying documents. Critics said it showed that Ms. Landrieu had become overly wedded to Washington, where she owns a home on Capitol Hill.

In the final days of the campaign, Ms. Landrieu went on the attack as well, claiming that Mr. Cassidy received thousands of dollars in pay from Louisiana State for medical work that she said he did not do. Mr. Cassidy has denied any wrongdoing, and university officials said they were reviewing the matter.

In her concession speech at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, Ms. Landrieu spoke warmly about her father, who, as mayor, oversaw the racial integration of the city in the 1970s. She cast her work as a continuation of his legacy.

“We may not have won tonight,” she said, “But we most certainly have won some extraordinary victories.”

As a congressman, Mr. Cassidy represented Louisiana’s Sixth District, which covers most of his hometown, Baton Rouge. His record in Congress has been reliably conservative, earning him endorsements from the National Rifle Association, former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, and Phil Robertson, star of the “Duck Dynasty” reality TV series.

Louisiana voters also decided two runoff races for the House of Representatives. The Fifth Congressional District seat, in northeast Louisiana, was won by Ralph Lee Abraham, a rural doctor and Republican candidate, according to The Associated Press. The current congressman, Republican Vance McAllister, lost his re-election bid in November after being captured on video kissing a campaign staff member who was not his wife.

In the Sixth District, which Mr. Cassidy is vacating, Garret Graves, a Republican former coastal adviser to Gov. Bobby Jindal, defeated former Gov. Edwin Edwards, The A.P. projected. Mr. Edwards, an 87-year-old Democrat, was released from for prison in 2011 after serving time for extortion

The man known in real life as Phil Brooks will now take his combat training and skills into the world of the UFC in 2015. Here’s everything you need to know about this bombshell of an announcement.

1. CM Punk Announced His Move to the UFC During a Live Interview Segment with Joe Rogan

During the live PPV airing of UFC 181, Joe Rogan shocked the live crowd and paying audience at home when he began interviewing CM Punk. Punk told the world that he is now an official member of the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster. Here’s a bit of what Punk had to say in regards to his major move from wrestling into professional MMA:

CM Punk now joins the short list of professional wrestlers who decided to join the MMA fray – Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley and Dave Bautista.

3. Punk Has Been Training in Two Different MMA Disciplines for a While Now

For years now, Punk has been training in jiu-jitsu and kempo for quite some time now. Punk actually trained with a member of the famous Gracie family (Rener Gracie) in jiu-jitsu. During an interview with MMAFighting.com before UFC 181, Rener speculated on the chances of Punk entering the UFC:

CM Punk is a very unique individual in that he obsesses with things very easily and when he commits and he obsesses with something he goes for it 100 percent. Like we’ve seen over the years with his success in the WWE, when he applies himself he finds a way to make it work. In MMA? Art Briles slams co-champion stance

WACO, Texas -- Baylor coach Art Briles criticized Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby and the conference's stance on co-champions after his No. 6 Bears' 38-27 win over No. 9 Kansas State on Saturday night gave them a share of the conference title.
Briles confronted Bowlsby on stage after the Big 12's trophy presentation and addressed his frustration about being presented as co-champions with TCU during his postgame news conference.
"You know, if you're going to slogan around and say there's 'One True Champion,' all the sudden you're gonna go out the back door instead of going out the front?" Briles said. "Don't say one thing and do another."

Despite Baylor's 61-58 win over the now-No. 3 Horned Frogs in October, Bowlsby has said he will not deem Baylor the tiebreaker champion of the Big 12. The College Football Playoff committee will treat both 10-1 teams as co-champions during their deliberations Sunday for one of the four spots.
"I'm not obligated to [Bowlsby]. I'm obligated to Baylor University and our football team," Briles said. "And we just happen to be a part of the Big 12. And we happen to be the champion two years in a row. So they need to be obligated to us, because we're helping the Big 12's image in the nation."
When asked specifically what he said to Bowlsby during their heated postgame conversation, Briles compared the commissioner's obligation to stand up for Big 12 programs to his own duty as a football coach to support a player who needs help.

"If I'm the commissioner of a league, then these universities are his kids, I would think. And so you love 'em all the same, but sometimes you have to differentiate between who you present as one or two," Briles said. "That was kind of the gist of the conversation. I mean, don't go public and say that we're going to present as co-champs if our bylaws say head-to-head determines who goes into a bowl game if neither one of us are in the top four."
Bowlsby, who was booed by the McLane Stadium crowd during the postgame ceremony, did not speak to reporters afterward.

No. 5 Ohio State's 59-0 victory over Wisconsin and No. 4 Florida State 's 37-35 victory over Georgia Tech raise the possibility that the Buckeyes could replace TCU in the top four and leave the Big 12 with no teams in the playoff.

Briles campaigned for Baylor after the win, citing the program's back-to-back Big 12 titles, difficult conference schedule, home wins over TCU and K-State and a road win at Oklahoma.
"My case would be, take the top 10 universities in the nation, put 'em on the wall, take the names off of them, all right? Look at the résumés and find four that are better," he said.

Briles also specifically addressed members of the playoff committee during his comments.
"Coach [Tom] Osborne, who's a Hall of Fame coach: If Nebraska had our résumé, would you have them in the final four?" Briles said. "Barry Alvarez with Wisconsin: If Wisconsin had our résumé, would you have them in the final four? Tyrone Willingham. Stanford, Washington, Notre Dame. If they had our résumé, would you vote them in the final four? That would be my case. Look at the résumés and then make a decision."
Baylor athletic director Ian McCaw supported Briles' stance and believes Baylor has "absolutely a final four résumé."

"[Bowlsby's] position is he's going to present two teams as co-champions. That was his decision he made," McCaw said. "I disagreed with it, but I certainly respect him; he's a great commissioner, but that's the decision he made."
The "College Football Playoff Selection Day" show will air at 12:30 ET Sunday on ESPN. Briles said he will not be watching.

"I hadn't watched it all year, so I'm not going to start tomorrow," Briles said. "I mean, I'm sure I'll get told. That's what usually happens. I'm not sure me watching is going to make a difference."

UFC 181 Results: The Real Winners and Losers from Hendricks vs. Lawler 2

Sometimes, the sequel is better than the original.
The main event at UFC 181 on Saturday was teed up as the Terminator 2 of 2014. Even though the original bout back in March between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler—which resulted in a close decision win and the vacant welterweight title for Hendricks—was considered one of the best fights of the year, there were thoughts that the rematch could surpass it.

After all, Hendricks, we later learned, fought with a torn biceps. And since that setback, Lawler has been on a bit of a tear, looking better than he ever had as he ripped through Jake Ellenberger and then Matt Brown while Hendricks idled on the sidelines.

And that was only the first of the evening's two title fights. Anthony Pettis, the reigning lightweight champ, also returned from a lengthy layoff. The dynamic knockout artist came back after 16 months away to try and defend his UFC strap for the first time, and did so against Gilbert Melendez, the former Strikeforce and WEC champ who coached against Pettis on the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter.
And this was only the beginning. Did someone say CM Punk? Oh yes.

Three and Out: Alabama dominates Missouri to win SEC championship

ATLANTA -- Alabama wants a spot in the College Football Playoff, and it did a fine job making its case again on Saturday. The No. 1 Crimson Tide took control late and routed No. 16 Missouri 42-13 to claim the program’s 24th SEC championship.
Here are three thoughts from Alabama’s win at the Georgia Dome.

1. Blake Sims just got it done for Alabama
The redshirt senior quarterback kept the Tide’s offense moving against Missouri’s vaunted front seven. Sims finished 23-of-27 passing for 262 yards with two touchdowns, while the Alabama attack reeled off 504 total yards, or 6.6 per play. Sims and the offense also went 9-of-13 on third down and didn’t turn the ball over.
Those who bought stock in Sims this preseason were few and far between. In August the college football world had already anointed Florida State transfer Jake Coker as the heir apparent to departed star AJ McCarron. Sims responded by winning the starting job and leading Alabama to another No. 1 ranking. By every indication, it will be one of four teams included in the inaugural playoff field.
Sims set a single-season record for passing yards at Alabama (3,250) a week after becoming the program's single-season leader in total offense. He was calm in the pocket and made plays with his feet. Tide coach Nick Saban’s hiring of offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin might have seemed like a gamble when it happened, but the transition has been seamless behind Sims. The quarterback has been the key to one of the SEC’s most potent attacks.

2. Missouri lost its best player in the first half and couldn’t recover
Tigers defensive end Shane Ray entered Saturday as the SEC’s leader in sacks (13.5) and tackles for loss (20.5). He and fellow end Markus Golden comprised one of the league’s most disruptive line duos, a tandem that hoped to keep Alabama’s offense in check. But Ray didn’t stick around to make an impact.
Officials ejected Ray for targeting after a helmet-to-helmet hit on Sims early in the second quarter. Moments after Sims hit DeAndrew White for a 58-yard score, Ray launched into Sims, connecting with his helmet. When Ray was sent to the locker room, a big piece of Missouri’s defensive game plan went with him.
Mizzou’s defense never really recovered. Alabama scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter while Sims put on a passing clinic. Fans will never know for certain, but things might have been different if Ray played the entire game.

3. Alabama helped the SEC avoid its nightmare scenario
A Crimson Tide loss would have been bad news for the SEC. Had Missouri won, the conference’s résumé would’ve taken a significant hit. The Tigers lost at home to both Indiana and Georgia earlier this fall; they wouldn’t have had a playoff-caliber body of work even with an SEC championship. Alabama was the SEC’s lone shot at a playoff representative, and it certainly delivered.
Now, the Crimson Tide await their fate in the playoff rankings. They seem primed for a semifinal appearance in the Sugar Bowl, but their opponent remains unclear. The selection committee has shown a tendency to shake things up on a weekly basis. Still, Alabama did exactly what it needed to do

Three and Out: TCU rolls Iowa State in final College Football Playoff audition

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU made its closing argument for a spot in the inaugural College Football Playoff with a 55-3 win over Iowa State on Saturday. What does that mean? It means everyone will look south to Waco (where Baylor faces Kansas State) on Saturday night and east to Grapevine (where the playoff selection committee meets) on Sunday morning.

1. All TCU can do now is wait
TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte was resplendent in his purple blazer as he jogged toward the makeshift awards stand where TCU was presented with a Big 12 championship trophy. The twin of that trophy will be presented to the winner of Saturday’s Kansas State-Baylor game, because one of those teams will finish with an 8-1 conference record. “Be kind to us,” Del Conte joked upon seeing a writer.
But it doesn’t matter what writers or poll voters think about the TCU-Baylor issue. The only opinions that count belong to the members of the selection committee, and they seem to like TCU very much. Still, all the Horned Frogs can do is wait. “I don’t know what happens tomorrow, but the bottom line is we’ve done everything we can do,” TCU coach Gary Patterson said. The committee seems to have declared itself by placing TCU at No. 3 in its most recent rankings, but committee chair Jeff Long told ESPN earlier in the morning that not all pieces of teams’ résumés are in place. In other words, if Baylor beats Kansas State and wins the Big 12’s championship tiebreaker by virtue of its head-to-head win over TCU on Oct. 11, that might allow the Bears to close the gap.
However, it’s entirely possible -- and seems more likely -- that the committee would keep TCU ranked ahead of Baylor no matter what. (That part certainly would be easier for the committee and for the Horned Frogs if Kansas State beats Baylor on Saturday night.) Then it would just be a matter of how favorably the committee views the Horned Frogs relative to other contenders. Given where TCU is ranked this week, that seems like a fairly favorable view.
The Frogs don’t seem particularly worried about placement. Asked where he would like to finish, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin smiled. “In the top four,” he said. “I really don't care where.”

2. The Horned Frogs left little doubt on Saturday
Sure, the Frogs played one of the Big 12’s worst teams against Iowa State. But the last time they played one of the Big 12’s worst teams (Kansas), they nearly lost before escaping 34-30. This time, TCU dominated. The Frogs opened the scoring in the first quarter with a nifty 55-yard throwback pass from receiver David Porter to Boykin. TCU rolled up 721 yards of total offense and averaged 8.7 yards a play, while holding the Cyclones to just 3.2 yards a play.

3. TCU could be a Big 12 contender for years to come
Lost in the playoff discussion is this: There are no more questions about whether the Frogs can compete in the Big 12. After going 6-12 in league play over the last two years, the Frogs clinched at least a share of the conference title with this win on Saturday. While that championship will become the subject of debate if Baylor beats Kansas State -- the conference office gave TCU a trophy, but no one outside the fan base will consider the Frogs to be Big 12 champs -- there is no doubt TCU has everything it needs to be one of the league’s elite programs going forward. The Frogs are stocked with young talent, and proving their legitimacy in a Power Five conference will give them a further recruiting edge in addition to being the only Big 12 school in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We could be debating TCU’s playoff worth often over the next few seasons, which is amazing considering the fact that TCU had to march through the mid-major hinterlands for years after the breakup of the Southwest Conference.

“One of the reasons I’ve had a lot of patience in this playoff thing is this: TCU’s been sitting outside the circle for many years. We’ve had to be patient,” Patterson said after Saturday's victory. “The two most nervous games I had were KU and today. They were like my last six or seven years in the Mountain West Conference. You knew you had to win every game, and you had to do it with style points and you had to do it all a certain way. Now we’re in a conference where everybody knows you’re good at what you do.”

Chris Brown Accuses Karrueche of Cheating With Drake

Things just got very messy between Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran.

The on-again-off-again couple are definitely off again, and maybe for good this time around, after Breezy announced his single status during a performance at Power 106’s annual Cali Christmas concert Friday (Dec. 6) night.
“How many single ladies we got in the house tonight?” Brown asked the crowd. “Well, I’m single too,” he said just before launching into a performance of “Loyal.”
Tran reacted with the tweet, “N----s be in they feeling when you dump them lol” and later wrote a statement on Instagram about finding strength, and moving forward from the relationship.
Things took a turn for the worse soon after. Breezy went on Instagram to expose some salacious tidbits about their relationship . “We've got scars, some of them u gave me, some of them I've caused,” wrote the 25-year-old singer. “That ride or die act we have been fooling the world with obviously ain't working. I was locked up for damn near 4 months and only got 1 visit from you while u was hosting parties and taking secret trips to Toronto, going on dates with Drake!”
He continued, “When this relationship first started u knew what it was and even participated in threesomes. I slowed all that s--- down. So let's not try to save face for public opinion because I don't need to play victim so people can take my side.”
Brown didn't let up on the mudslinging, he took a few more shots at Tran, adding that he basically upgraded her life. “I made it clear to the world who my girl was and made your life equal to mine even at the cost of me not focusing on my career at times. Nebraska hires Oregon State's Mike Riley to replace Bo Pelini

Athletic director Shawn Eichorst ended his one-man search with the announcement Thursday that the 61-year-old Riley would replace Bo Pelini, who was fired Sunday. Riley will be introduced at a news conference in Lincoln on Friday.
Riley has spent 14 seasons over two tenures at Oregon State, leading the Beavers to 93 wins and a 6-2 record in bowl games.

"It is truly an honor to join the University of Nebraska family," Riley said in a statement. "Though we love Corvallis and Oregon State, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to coach at one of the nation's most storied football programs and I can't wait to get started."

Riley's name never appeared on the radar of college football pundits who speculated about Pelini's successor. Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost, a Nebraska native who quarterbacked the Cornhuskers' 1997 national championship team, was among candidates believed to be under consideration. It turned out the man Eichorst wanted was 45 miles away from Frost, in Corvallis.

Riley has strong recruiting ties in talent-rich California and a reputation for doing more with less at Oregon State. He employs a pro-style offense and is highly regarded for his development of quarterbacks. He has coached NFL QBs Matt Moore and Derek Anderson, and his starter this season, Sean Mannion, is the Pac-12's all-time leading passer.

Riley also is known for having a Mr. Nice Guy persona, a contrast to the hot-tempered Pelini.
"There was one coach who fit all the characteristics that I was seeking to lead our tradition-rich football program," Eichorst said. "Mike Riley has a proven record of success, a sound approach to football and teaching, an understanding of the educational mission of our university and the integrity and values that we cherish at Nebraska. I have no doubt that Mike will assemble a tremendous staff and lead our student-athletes to win Big Ten titles and compete for national championships in the years ahead."

Pelini was fired last weekend after seven years and a 66-27 overall record that included at least nine wins -- and four losses -- every season he completed.

Riley is charged with leading the Huskers back to elite status after they were the winningest program in the nation from 1970-1999. Since Tom Osborne retired after winning a third national title in four years in 1997, the Huskers have had three coaches and rank 15th in wins.

Riley will take over immediately but will not coach the Huskers in their bowl game. Nebraska assistant Barney Cotton is interim head coach.

Oregon State finished this season 5-7 overall, 2-7 in the Pac-12, after losing six of its last seven games.
Riley met with his Oregon State players on Thursday to inform them of his decision.
Riley's move to Nebraska appears to have developed quickly. After his team lost 47-19 to Oregon on Saturday, he talked about the need to make changes that would help the Beavers' offense be more productive in 2015.
"I have a strong belief I'm the right guy for Oregon State," Riley said, according to the Portland (Oregon) Tribune.

Riley was under contract with Oregon State through 2021. His contract stipulated that he would gain one additional year every time he went to a bowl game.
Riley was the longest-tenured coach in the Pac-12. He was named Oregon State's coach in 1997, taking over a program that hadn't had a winning season since 1970. He left after two seasons to coach the San Diego Chargers, but not before his Beavers knocked off a nationally ranked Oregon in an overtime thriller in the 1998 Civil War game.

Riley returned to Corvallis in 2003 and had winning seasons in eight of the next 12 seasons. His Beavers famously knocked off No. 3 Southern California at home in 2006, No. 2 California on the road in 2007, No. 1 USC at home in 2008 and No. 9 Arizona on the road in 2010.
Riley is a native of Idaho and a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he played for Paul "Bear" Bryant and won three SEC titles and a national championship.

The two-time Oscar winner has been lined up to play a character called Oberhauser in Spectre, the 24th installment of the Bond franchise.

Exact details are closely guarded secrets, but it's rumored that Waltz will actually be taking up the reins of Bond's old sparring partner Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the movie, which is slated for release on Nov. 6, 2015.

As the head of shadowy crime syndicate SPECTRE, Blofeld was a mainstay of the Bond films of the 1960s.

"I could not be happier to be having him in this cast and joining us on this journey," director Sam Mendes told reporters at Pinewood Studios at the launch of Spectre, which will be shot in London, Rome, Mexico City, Tangiers and the Austrian Alps.

Daniel Craig returns in the iconic lead role for the fourth time, supported by the home team of Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny.

Stepping into the famous swimsuits and glittering gowns of previous Bond girls are Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra and French actress Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann.

Meanwhile, fresh from the success of Guardians of the Galaxy, Dave Bautista will appear as Mr. Hinx – presumably to fill the sort of hulking henchman role made famous by the recently deceased Richard Kiel.

Fans of the British TV hit Sherlock will also have noticed that Andrew Scott appears in the role of a British MI6 agent called Denbigh.

Given that Scott plays arch-criminal Moriarty in the hit BBC drama, it will be no surprise if he turns out to be less than loyal to MI6.

But then, in James Bond's world, hardly anyone is!

It seems bad luck does come in threes.

Launch day for NASA's Orion spacecraft was delayed by a trio of problems, including wind gusts, a stray boat in the launch zone and technical issues that prompted the space agency to call it a day.

NASA announced the launch was scrubbed for today, just before the lift off window closed at 9:44 am ET.

The first setback came when NASA said a boat drifted into the launch zone before Orion was scheduled to launch on a Delta IV rocket today at 7:04 am ET.

A new launch time 13 minutes later was again pushed back due to winds.

Less than an hour later, NASA reported that the new launch time of 8:26 am ET would not hold up after a fuel and drain valve did not close. NASA said it was cycling the valves open on three core boosters to see if opening and closing them again would solve the issue.

The Orion space capsule is seen as crucial step toward the dream on one day sending a manned mission to Mars. Once it does lift off, NASA will be watching closely to see how Orion holds up to a series of stress tests in space.

Orion seats four astronauts -- one more than Apollo. While the design may be the similar, Orion is equipped with technology that is light-years ahead of its Moon-shot mission predecessor.

While in orbit, Orion will circle the Earth twice at an altitude of 3,600 miles and will make re-entry at 20,000 mph with temperatures hitting 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Four and a half hours after lift off, the spacecraft is expected to splashdown 600 miles off the coast of San Diego in the Pacific Ocean.

If this test succeeds, the next step will be another launch to circle the Moon in 2018, then a manned mission to the Moon in 2020.
