Pasensya naman at tamad akong mag blog ngayon at kung ano ano ang kinakareer ko sa bhuay. Pasko na pala at disyembre na. Uuwi na naman ako sa pasko at magpapamigay ng dolyar! Chos. tuwing pasko nalang ako ay nauuwi pero ngayon mag titipid na pala este wala nmn talaga ako ipapamigaya lol! 3 weeks na naman ako pero ang plano ko ngayon tumambay lang sa munting tahanan namin para iwas gastos. Kumusta naman ako? ! Sabi ng nanay ko, lagi ko daw sabi wala akong pera pero abot ang trip, at aking nilanaw naman ito sa akin nanay, sabi ko, di nmn sa walang pera pera sakto lang. SAKTO lang. hehehehe.

Eniwey, balik tayu sa kwentong Korea. Napunta kze ako ng Korea dahil sa company para maging katulong, alam na! Pinoy nga eh wala silang pagpipiliian na pwedeng utusan kaya naman wala ako magagawa. Tumanggi na talaga akong sumama kze ayoko ko na maging julalay pero ayun kakakulit at pilit chhos! sumama na akels!

Kaya eto kwento ko, umattend ako ng gala dinner para sa amin company event, at ang aming tema ay Korean Traditional Culture, at ayan eto ang isinuot ko. Binili ko yan, pero sympre pinabyaran ko sa company. hahaha! kaya if like mo hiramin eh sabihin mo lang at ipapahiram ko sayu bago ko itech ibenta.

Exploring South Korea: Autumn Experience

Currently in South Korea, i can't go out anymore as it is damn cold. So as i write this, im just watching the korean drama and decided to post some photos! Partial photos I've visited, nami island. Today is my 10th day exploring this gorgeous place.

Spell absent, it took so long for me to update my blog. Currently pre-occupied with heaps of things. I couldn't even visit other blogs anymore. I've been missing it anyway. I had 3 days travelling solo from my 11 das and i enjoyed every minute of it. A bit sad though as nobody can't take photos of myself but the feeling of able to reflect on whatever things happened for the past years, it made my solo trip complete. I can say that I am ready to conquer other challengs and opportunities that will come my way.

I am such a blessed one. Thanks God!

Bali, Indonesia Trip: Part 2 (Day 1)

As the whole day cannot be posted into one, I have separated it into 2 parts, these part 1 and part 2 tour were done only in 1 day. We maximized most of the day by starting from exactly at 8.00am until 7.00pm. Our agreed schedule from the driver is only 10 hours however due to our itinerary we have to extend 1 hour.

The driver can speak english well and he will recommend those places that can add up to the itineraries we gave. And those he recommended were all worth to visit.

Royal Temple of Mengwi (Pura Taman Ayun)

The Royal Temple of Mengwi is one of the most important temples in Bali. Built in 1634 by a King of the Mengwi dynasty, this impressive complex stands on an island in a river, its inner temple surrounded by a moat. Its Balinese name Pura Taman Ayun literally means ‘Garden Temple in the Water’.

We had lunch at a buffet restaurant with a view of the rice terraces. I forgot the name of the restaurant as I was supper hungry. I checked the time and it was already 1.30pm.

This is the breathtaking view while we were having lunch. I was carried away and realised I haven't drink any water since 8.00am.While we had our lunch, myy friend and I discussed how blessed we are. We were counting our blessings one by one from having the office leave, money to spend and opportunity given. Indeed, I can't think of any words aside from being grateful in this life. Thank you, Lord.

There are varieties of dishes to choose from- soup until dessert are served by the restaurant and of course the view that you have is already worth a penny. This is a must!

Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot is one of the important directional temples in Bali. The temple is located on a rock just offshore. It is said to be the work of revered 15th century Hindu priest Nirartha and forms an important element of Balinese spirtualism and mythology.
This is an extremely popular tourist destination and the whole area is often very busy indeed, especially in the late afternoons, pre-sunset. The area between the car park (Rp 5,000 per vehicle) and the beach adjacent to the temple is a maze of souvenir shops selling just about every Balinese trinket imaginable.

Ulun Danu Temple is a Balinese Hindu Temple located at Candi Kuning countryside, Baturiti sub district and Tabanan regency. The distance from Denpasar town is about 50 km north side the way from Denpasar to Singaraja. It is set at lakeside of Beratan with beautiful lake view and hills surround it. It is situated in the plateau area with cool atmosphere surround it and hills as a backdrop. We can find at north side of this temple is Pucak Sangkur mount, in the eastside there is Beratan Mount which also referred as Pucak Mangu or Pucak Pangelengan, in the south side there is Terate Bang Mount and in the Westside there is Tapak Mount and Watukaru Mount.

On A Summer Look

I just sms-ed him on a Saturday afternoon and had a mood of wearing this summer clothings, viola the outcome went well. After 2 hours of taking this photo at Orchard, he already gave me the finish product. How fast is he? verrry fast!

It’s more fun in the Philippines, I wish I can celebrate summer as it’s more fun in the Philippines. Anyway, something happening in April so these photos are just perfect for me. It’s just a reminder that I am not yet old to have this look and wear something nice . As the saying goes, age doesn’t matter but if you mind it, it matters. Feel younger everyday, wear nice clothes and pumps, use bright lipstick and wear make up. Cheer up and smile to make our day more meaningful. After staying 2 years in Singapore, I realised wearing skirt is a must for girls and I am loving it. I started to embrace slowly to have that culture on me. Almost everyday, except Sunday I always ensure my closet has an ironed skirt or dress ready to wear for the day.

Welcome to 2012! Kababalik ko lang nung Miyerkules galing Pilipinas pagkatapos ng aking 21 araw na bakasyon. It all went well. Grabee… ubusan ng yaman, ayyy nagkautang pa ang lola mo. Anyway, masaya naman ako eto na ang mga kwento ko mula sa mga piktyurs:

1. attended my cousin’s wedding in Pangasinan

2. Nagpunta sa PoshNails at nag massage ng paa at kamay

3. Nag celebrate ng Pasko sa Camayan Beach Resort, Subic Bay

4. Nagbakasyon sa Club Balai Isabel, Talisay, Batangas kung saan kinasal si Kristine Hermosa at Oyo Boy Sotto, sa ibaba ito ng Taal Volcano.

5. Kumain ng kumain sa Jollibeee, halos araw araw ata..

6. Kumain sa vegetarian restaurant sa Quezon City, Pipino Restaurant. Masarap sya in fairness. Hindi mo malasahan na gulay. Sana mayron dito nyan sa Singapore at magiging vegetarian na talaga ako.

wow! eto the best, pipino shake… the best fruit juice i’ve tasted ever.

it was horribly traffic in all Metro Manila area which limited me to go anywhere, kaya hindi na ako nakabalik dito. Pero sa pag uwi ko ulit siguro ako’y muling magbibisita dito.

7. We spent our New Year’s eve in Metro Manila and it was so suuuper polluted because of the fireworks. Grabeeee! Anyway, I don’t have any pictures yet as my sister hasn’t downloaded it.

8. I went to our province, Nueva Ecija and stayed there for almost a week.

Ito ang mga highlights ng aking pagbabakasyon sa Pilipinas. Hindi ko lang talaga napuntahan at nakatagpo (tagalog na tagalog) yung blogger na kausap ko kze lagi ko kasama ang buong pamilya ko. Hindi ako makaalis mag- isa, psensya naman. =)

Naging masayang masaya ang aking bakasyon sa dami kong napuntahan at nakain. 3 linggo walang trabaho at ito na ang pinakamatagal na bakasyon na nangyari sa buhay ko mula nung ako ay nagtrabaho. Napataba nga ako ng 2 kilo ngayon kaya ngayon umpisa ng 2012, uumpisahan ko na mag diet muli. lol.

Salamat sa mga taong naging bahagi ng aking 2011 at sa mga blogger friends na nakilala ko at naging kapamilya’t kapuso, maraming salamat.

I had heaps of blessings received for the year 2011. It was overwhelming and was thinking of it on 1 January, I wish it can be better for the year 2012.

Thursday Happy Thoughts

1. Job- I am grateful that I’ve been working to that company for 3 years. Yes, 3 years and this is the longest years that I joined. Well, even though I don’t have a choice with that job but still thankful that I don’t need to drag myself every morning to come to work. No bonus and 13th month is okay as long as I am happy.

2. Philippines- I’ll be home for Christmas. I am so glad that my boss approved my leave and will there for 20 days. I couldn’t wait to eat Jollibee fried chicken, palabok and sisig. I am also excited that my family meets the who.

I don’t have any definite plans yet but I am pretty sure that we will be celebrating our Christmas holidays in a nearby town and spend 3 days vacation in Club Bali Isabel, Tagaytay where Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto had their wedding reception. (Showbiz?! ako na ako na) I will also try Milk and Sunny Restaurant I’ve been hearing with the showbiz people in twitter for our breakfast. Visit Pipino Restaurant, a vegatarian restaurant in heart of Quezon City where Patty Laurel’s bestfriend owns it.

I will cherish each day I will be in the Philippines and feel like there’s no tomorrow so that I’ll temporary forget my work for that 20 days. Wanna meet? I’ll be glad to see you over coffee, leave me a comment.

I will do a separate post on my pinas break. ( I hope I can do it. *fingers cross*)

3. Pinoy Bloggers- We will be having our very first Christmas Party here in Singapore on Friday, 2 December in Narumi Hotel nearby our workplace. I am excited and we had already our bunutan. Each of us made a wishlist for our gift. I hope to get my wishlist so that it will tick off for one of my wishlist for this Christmas. Actually, I am not really a blogger neither a writer but I ‘m grateful that they count and treat me as their friends.

4. New colleague- I have a colleague who joined us 3 weeks ago and she always tell me that I am so funny. I am glad that she is happy with my company. I just couldn’t say that Filipinos are happy people and we turn a lonely environment to a positive one.

5. New bag- I started to use my new bag given by a friend. Simple thoughts for a simple lady making my day to an extraordinary one.

Hello, world! I’m excited to present our Taiwan photos. Enjoy! If you didn’t read my recent post, I just went with my sister to Taipei, Taiwan and wander to this very beautiful country. I didn’t see much Filipino tourists in this place compare to Singapore where every corner can hear Tagalog words. I think because of the visa they require and they don’t promote eagerly Taiwan tourism.

My sister and I enjoyed each moment we were together. I just thought of letting her join me every travel I go. Hmmm. But she has to save. Ate doesn’t have plenty of money. Lol.

I love the music so much and Oyo Sotto- Kristine Hermosa’s wedding. I am not really a fanatic of these two but everytime I watch it, I adore them. Their expressions of being in love during their wedding captures and touches my heart which made me feel so in love *yay* and dreaming of my own weeding in the future. *wish*

I Heart Travelling

I’ll be away for eleven days and spend it in Taipei, Taiwan. I am half excited and half stress. I am leaving on Sunday, 7.10am flight taking Jetstar Airlines. I’ll miss 2011 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX happening next week. But it’s not a big deal as I am not fan of racing cars. All it matters, air ticket, accommodation and food are all free. Those are the best things in life.

During this trip, I’ll be on business trip for 5 days which includes attending gala dinner, 3 scheduled dinners and 6 days for pleasure. It will be busy busy days for me and the remaining 6 days will be spent exploring Taipei. The most exciting part will be becoming a tourist again. My sister in the Philippines will also fly via Cebu Pacific which I bought the ticket 4 months back at P 4,500. It was a steal and I am glad that it’s not only me who will be happy but my sister too.

Trekking…

One fine sunny afternoon, a stranger sms-ed me if I am interested to join with them on Saturday to trek Bukit Timah Hill in Singapore. I remembered, I posted in Pinoysg (forum of OFWs in Singapore) that I am eager to join mountaineering as part of my so called adventure. It didn’t think me twice, I replied yes.

I woke up 6.30am and met a group of 14 people whom I haven’t met yet. I said hi and hello to them, exchanged names and gave some introduction of ourselves. After few minutes, started trekking in a humid and sunny Saturday. They were all pinoys , some are newbies like me (first time) and others are part of the pinoysg mountaineers- experts.

I was excited at first and I thought I am very fit. Then on our way, it was not easy. Steps are huge. It was slippery and was wearing only my running shoes. I almost missed a step and fell a bit. I kept saying on myself I can make it. “This is just part of the challenge I want and I want more more. This is my training and part of my preparation to climb Mt Pinatubo in December.” I was panting as I stepped my feet on a very steep trail. It was not easy and after an hour, I reached the summit. Sigh.

This is me after 2 hours climbing. I was already exhausted.

Friends was telling me that this was just 20% of the trail, it was like- Oh really! “Oh my gosh, was this the adventure I want to do?” I asked them heaps questions while we walked. They were telling me to join them this coming Saturday, 2 days and 1 night trekking. I declined as my first time on this trekking and I believed that I couldn’t make it for 6 hours climbing. They mentioned that as part of bringing myself during climbing, I have to train myself bringing 8 kgs. stuffs inside my bag which includes 3Ls of water, train to pee and poo poo anywhere without water, no changing of clothes for 2 days and sleep in a tent. Hmmm, let me think.

Excitement brought me after they answered all my questions and all I can say is, I am ready to go back again to Bukit Timah Hill and train myself.

But hey, I have to invest items for this adventure. I need t0 buy bag, shoes and other stuffs. Maybe, one day while window shopping I can pass by to World of Sports House. Speaking of World of Sports, I feel like I am very sporty. Lol.

After I reached home, I fell asleep for 2 hours and felt soo tired but I felt happy and satisfied.

Travel and Lifestyle

I miss travelling. I haven’t stepped my feet on a plane for the last three months since May came and my itchy hands keep on checking those promo fares almost every week. But I couldn’t find any. I could still remember how my Paris, France went with a cheap sale ticket cost $ 650.00 or P 20,000 for a two way fare. It was not bad at all as a treat for myself after working for 6 years. I have never treated myself with anything extravagant even a nice bag or branded shirts. This was just a reward of a 27- year old me, being single and a hardworking OFW in Singapore.

I keep on ensuring every payday that I send money back home for my family, pay insurance semi annually and save money for my emergency fund. I’ve never bought anything for myself and realised that this year as part of my wish list, it is the time to buy the things I've missed since I became part of the corporate world. Buy those things that are needed , and yes things that I only need. Things that I want are only just bonus for myself and my need should always be bought every payday. Remember, wants and needs are different. Becoming at the right age like 27, I could feel that I’ve missed a lot when it comes to buying things that a girl should buy. I have only 1 bag, 3 pairs of shoes and handful of stuffs.

I had a conversation with a friend a month ago:

me: oh my! I need to buy these things. I don’t have it. Do we need it?

friend: yes, you have to buy.

me: I should have bought it last time so that I have something to wear.

friend: I told ya! we already bought 10 things for ourselves and you only bought 1 piece. that was the reason i went with you inside the mall, to insist you to buy things that you need. it’s not luxury , it’s just you need it but we failed. we were the one who bought things instead!

me: Okay. (i felt embarrassed and stingy so much for myself)

Hence, this is the year I have to enjoy the things I need but not splurging so much. I could remember buying a branded panty two weeks ago as I heard my colleagues talking what brand they are wearing and I am just wearing those cheapskate from a shop so I decided to pay a visit and grab that expensive panty. Happy!

Playing badminton now is my every Saturday event and I only have 1 black short given by a friend. Looking at my playmates brands are Nike, Adidas and etc. I feel so poor or an employee who has 3 kids to feed. Then one afternoon walking with my colleagues in a nearby shop I saw Nike shorts were on sale. In a jiffy I grabbed 3 shorts, no need to gauge if my size fit me and swiped my debit card! Alas. I have it already and I’m so motivated to play badminton because of my Nike’s shorts. I love it.

Now, I could feel that someway or another we have to treat ourselves to make our day brighter and be inspired to keep moving on while away back home. These little things making me appreciate how life is so good and be thankful whatever blessings have been given.

A Visit to Ikea Singapore

A sunny Sunday afternoon after attending a birthday party and hearing mass, my itchy feet went to Ikea Singapore revisiting this fabulous place and have a sumptuous dinner I’ve been craving for. I haven’t visited this place for a long time. If my memory serves me right, the last time I visited was 2 years ago as this place is quite far to my home place. So spending my time are all worth it as I could see my dream living room, kitchen area and bedroom.
