When I first got saved, and also released unforgiveness, I began to dream every night. Some of the very first dreams were about balance and living right. As these were first, I assume they have high importance, or else are an important fundamental understanding for a good life.

One dream showed a person baking a cake. "For the cake to be delicious, each ingredient must be added in just the right amounts, omitting nothing, not adding too much of anything." There was another dream around this time, also about keeping balance in life.

Another dream was a simple statement, "Life is a good, good place for those who do what they are supposed to do."

Around this time, many dreams focused on the appropriate way to live so that a joyful experience might be lived.

One other dream explained that life is not all increasing and heading upward. I saw a simple caterpillar on a flat surface. He locked his forward legs in place, and begin to inch the rear portion forward, while the midsection began to arch upward. When the rear was very near the forward section, and the midsection was arched up nearly into two vertical segments, the caterpillar released the forward legs and suddenly took a giant move forward.

A voice explained that life has times of sudden growth, and then plateaus in between. These quiet times are to rest us for the busy growth times, and so that we can master the new things of the previous growth.

Life has quiet times and hectic times. There are times of loss and times of increase. All the ingredients come into the best lives. There is salt and sugar both. There is honey, vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom, too. We have eggs that bind the mix together. There are times to stir the batter and fold in some air to make the cake moist. There is also a time to let it sit, and a time in the oven.

May your life be the best it can be! May we all do what we are supposed to do, and in the right moments, so that our lives win the baking contest for best overall. Peace.

Meaning of a Missing Hat

Incomplete Military Uniforms in Dreams
Over the years, I have had dreams of arriving to a military installation, donning my uniform, and then realizing- I don't have a hat. (I was in the Marines, so I did not have a "cover", the word Marines use to mean hat.)

This symbol appeared in a few dreams in '92. Later, I saw this dream a few more times in the mid to late 90's. I dreamed it again last night. Only this morning did I finally understand the meaning.

Rolling around in half slumber, reviewing the dream, I pushed backward into earlier scenes, looking for clues and context to reveal the meaning. Just before one roll over onto my wife's side of the bed, I asked the Holy Spirit, "What does it mean to be out of uniform?"

A few minutes later, I awoke from a brief foray into sleep. And, I understood.

An incomplete uniform represents something that is incomplete. Here are the times I dreamed of an incomplete military uniform:

1992
In 1992, I dropped on request from NROTC at UC Berkeley. (I finished one year of aerospace engineering at San Jose State.) At that time, I dreamed of reporting to a Marine Corps building, putting on my uniform, and then realizing I did not have my cover.

Curiously, when I eventually received new orders, and reported to 29 Palms, I literally did not have a full uniform. Though I had my cover, the emblem was not to be found.

Mid 90's
I recorded dreams every night from '94 to '99. In that time, my journals recorded several dreams about "being back in boot camp" without my uniforms. I especially noticed missing my cover (hat) in those dreams. The dreams frustrated me. Bound up in Jungian philosophy at that time, I asked myself over and over again, "What does a hat mean?"

2002
In 2002, I dreamed again of being on a military base. I had no uniforms. It was awkward. In addition to no hat, I also had the wrong clothes. We marched around. I walked from building to building. Others had camouflaged utilities. I had other clothing.

In September, 2001, the WTC was attacked. In early 2002, the Holy Spirit told me to join the Army National Guard, and to brush up on my Arabic. I resisted 3 months. But, in April, I enlisted. I received a slot for Officer's Candidate School.

No Uniforms
The unit to which I was assigned (for paper work purposes) did not know me, and refused to issue uniforms for me from their budget. The OCS leaders gave me permission to continue at the school, while efforts were made to get me equipment. I marched in formation in PT gear- shorts and a t-shirt. Everyone else had camouflaged utilities. Everywhere I went, I wore shorts- the odd man out.

Finally, the first major training week arrived. Without uniforms, OCS kicked me out.

So, those dreams were literally fulfilled. They had been warnings, true precognitive (prophetic) dreams.

2013

Last night, I dreamed I was finishing a military training. On a sunny day, I walked over and sat beneath a shade cover with some of my acquaintances, also about to graduate. I was wearing a forest green dress uniform, with very wide, red, inverted chevrons on my sleeve (similar to Navy Petty Officer rank insignia, but with only the actual chevrons). The black hat with 3 red chevrons is the only item I could find similar to what I had.

Curiously, this hat is an image on the an army navy supply website in Vermont. At this time, I just began a 2 year Master's degree program at Norwich University. This university is located in Vermont.

In my dream, the training lasted "Mar to Mar", which correctly calls out the March to March duration of the program. The truncated version of March may also add more information to the dream. I don't yet know.

In the dream, as we sat and discussed the end of our training, others were planning to go somewhere together. I had not been invited for some reason, but was hoping to be added to the invite list. I realized I wore an enlisted man's uniform. But, I should be wearing an officer's uniform. I recalled how someone stole a sea bag from me at the beginning of the program. It had contained all my officer's uniforms.

Conclusion
After all these years, I finally realized the meaning of an incomplete military uniform. It shows that something is incomplete in life.

In my case, each time, it represented my incomplete education, and failed attempts at becoming an officer.

10 Mistakes in Dream Interpretation

Here are some very common mistakes people make when interpreting dreams. This is a summary version of a much longer lens posted on Squidoo.

1. Not all dreams are valid dreams, healthy for your consideration. Some are just the mind. Others are from dark sources, and are intended to harm you or bring you fear.

2. Interpretation of dreams, visions, and prophecies belongs to God. We must pray for an understanding. Even a non-Christian can pray (which just means petition, or ask) to God for wisdom and interpretation to understand a dream. Just be sure to specify you are asking "the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

3. Dream dictionaries have very limited meanings. These should be abandoned in favor of relying only on God in prayer. This will become part of your relationship with God, currently displaced by books. Remember, Jesus will turn away some who believed they knew Him, but did not. They had signs and prophecy (and probably dreams, too!) But, Jesus will say, "I never knew you." Better get to know Jesus, and ditch the dream dictionary interpretation method. Only a Christian dream interpretation book, compiled from the Bible, and from prayer or fulfilled dreams, is valid for Christians.

4. Jungian interpretation: Jung was just a pagan, spiritually. He called the Kabbalah "gold!", made horoscopes for his analysands, based much of his theory on the I Ching, and generally used eastern religion to create a false science in the west. Jung himself said all he ever really did was translate eastern thought (superstitions and demonic teachings) into terms acceptable to the west.

5. Failure to take notes in a timely and effective manner can result in forgotten and even inaccurate information. Learn to take good notes using keywords, and then expand those notes as soon as you can, preferably immediately.

6. Ignoring common formats or other techniques used by dream choreographers. The chosen format can indicate the type of message included.

7. Dreams in one night almost always are related to the same topic. Interpreting three dreams from one night as three separate messages, and not comprehensively, is a mistake.

8. Overlooking minor details. Often, a small detail may be the key to understanding a dream.

9. Assuming the face you saw in the dream means the you know who that person is. Faces can by symbolic just as much as anything. I think this error is easy to make because we think of a face as belonging to exactly one person, and no others. However, a face can represent another person with the same name, job, personality, or any other trait.

10. Assuming information that is not in the dream. A common example, easy to prove, is seeing a season, or hearing a month in a dream. Some interpreters automatically assume or fear the forewarning is for the same year.

Engineers, doctors, builders, military commanders, and other professionals study mistakes they made personally or saw made by others. This prevents making the same mistakes. You may even want to create a separate list of mistakes you have made, to help protect you from making the same mistakes in the future.

A Dream about How to Pray

This is a real blessing:

I had been feeling for months ... "There is a better way to pray." This became a burden, and I prayed for the Lord to show me how.

I received this dream between Oct 8th and Nov 3rd, 2008 (somewhere in there... I usually can't remember the date in the middle of the night.)

A prayer is a prayer unless it is answered. When a prayer is answered, it is hope fulfilled. Hope fulfilled leads to endurance. Endurance leads to life eternal. And, this life eternal is the life I intended you to have.

Life eternal is the life I intended you to have.

An unanswered prayer is a tax on fortitude. And, fortitude, when it is broken, leads to brokenness. And, in brokenness, things can be received which are rarely hoped for when one is not broken. In brokenness, one relies only upon the Lord. In brokenness, one cries out from the heart, from the place of purity. When there is nothing, when there is no confrontation, then I hear you, then I answer you.

When there is the smallest bit of confrontation, of conflict, when what you are asking is pushing up against some other part of you, your prayer is damaged. It is not pure. And your prayer is limited. Pray to me, my sheep, in a broken voice, and I will hear you.

Pray to me. Pray to me, Pray to me to the point of abandonment, until your whole self is put aside, your whole self is pushed aside, thrust aside for the glory of the spirit. When your whole self is out of the way and the spirit has an open portal, an open doorway, the cry of the spirit is heard loud and beautiful and clear.

The cry of the spirit is heard, is heard, is heard, in brokenness. In brokenness things are possible which had not been desired, which had not been hoped for, which the heart did not dare to hope for. In the broken spirit, a cry for those things is made. Those things which you dare not hope for in fortitude, in personal strength.

Take Dream Notes Immediately

I just finished editing my ginormous post on Inventions that came in Dreams. As I indented all the quotes from scientists and authors about the moment of their breakthrough dream, I noticed a very peculiar consistency. They all immediately wrote down the dream, and worked toward a complete theory, experimental procedure, or book right away.

So, take a note from famous names like Kekule, Otto Loewi, Paul McCartney, and even Stephen King. Get your notes down as soon as possible.

Dream Interpretation: Book

A book is a simple thing in form. It's actual contents, however, are diverse and great.

A book is a portal to another place. A book of the fantasy genre can take you to another place of the imagination.

A book of science can teach you old knowledge, forgotten by the field, or even new knowledge, just proven, and now shared in print. A book is for the reader, for a seeker of knowledge and of new things.

A book can also be an escape. Some people who work stressful jobs, or who lead average lives, desire to find excitement in the pages of novels.

A book is for a seeker.
A book introduces knowledge.
A book is a doorway to other things.

Finding a book in a dream may represent finding a new opportunity which will take you to a new place in life.

Reading a book may represent finding new knowledge. It may signal the time to go out and seek new knowledge.

Dream Dictionary: Ripe Fruit

Pomegranates
Several years ago, I dreamed about two plump pomegranates. One was much larger than the other, both were cracked, revealing glistening bright purplish-red seeds inside. When I prayed for the interpretation, the Holy Spirit showed me these represented the church in China and in Japan. These will be persecuted, but they are ripe fruit- ready for the harvest. Pomegranates grow in the drier regions of southeast Asia.

Here is the question sent to me:

Last night, I dreamed of a very ripe plantain. What does it mean?

Ripe fruit represents something ready to be harvested. It could represent a business opportunity, a relationship, or even a level of personal development. However, the most common interpretation I see is that of people ready to enter the Kingdom of God.

Why different fruit? Why not show other kinds of fruits? I believe the plantain shown to you represents one specific person you know. This person is very likely from South America, or of South American ancestry, where fried plantains are a staple food. (Very tasty, by the way.)

Apples
When my wife and I arrived in Ukraine, she received a dream of a vast orchard of apples. The fruit was so heavy, all the branches were bowing under the weight.

Oranges
In 2002, I attended a conference in South Carolina. The main speaker, George, spoke about timelines in scripture. He was a messianic Jew, and had an amazing grasp of continuity between the Old Testament and the New Testament. A few weeks after the meeting, I walked with him in a dream (Most likely, this was Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or an angel. However, my mind substituted in the face of a recent encounter.). He showed me first a large orchard of oranges. "It is a great joy to bring in the fruit," he said, gesturing toward the trees. Then, he turned me to look behind us. There, invisible at first against a black backdrop, slowly came into view an entirely black orchard. On the trees, even black oranges were visible.
George nudged my arm and I moved into the orchard. We walked together. "But," he said, "the greatest joy is to harvest where other workers have come and gone." Then, I noticed a bright, bright orange hanging between two branches. We continued our walk. I noticed others, too. They were all hidden at first glance. But, they were there: ripe oranges waiting to enter the Kingdom!
Here, oranges represent gentiles in the large orchard, and blood descendants of Abraham in the second orchard.

In scripture, the Jews are represented as figs.

Types of Dreams in the Bible

Biblical Dream Interpretation

One of the most common- and correct -understandings of dream interpretation is that "interpretation belongs to God." Both Joseph and Daniel said this. Both these men of God are credited with the gift of interpreting dreams. It must be pointed out that their statement is greater than this simple application to dreams. It is interpretation which belongs to God. Not just dreams, but visions, prophecies, and messages spoken in tongues must be interpreted by leaning on the Holy Spirit, who leads us into all understanding. In addition to these, parables, and life events (many of which carry messages in scripture and natural history) must also be interpreted by God, and not by our minds, and certainly not by dream dictionaries, things I hate.

The second most common, though not common at all, is the understanding that our Father warns us in dreams. Elihu shares this wisdom with Job near the end of the book of Job, after the not-so-wise, older friends of Job finish speaking from their errant wisdom.

This warning nature of dreams is described in Job 33:14-18

"For God speaketh once, yea twice, [yet man] perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, That he may withdraw man [from his] purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. (KJV)"

These are the words of Elihu, who was blessed by God with wisdom.

Dreams are not limited to service as warnings. We must also note that Joseph interpreted the cup bearer's dream- good news, a return to favor. Joseph also interpreted the bread maker's dream- bad news, death.
Daniel interpreted Nebechudnezzar's dream: bad news followed by forgiveness and a return to power.
Joseph received a dream from God: his brothers would all bow to him. It looked good... and in the end, it was. However, the road to fulfillment was emotionally and physically difficult.

In other cases, we see Elihu's wisdom manifested in biblical events. Joseph, husband of Mary, mother of Jesus, was warned in a dream to leave Judah because Herod planned to kill the child. He later received a dream that Herod died, and he should return to Judaea. En route to Judaea from Egypt, Joseph heard Archeleus, Herod's son, was in power. Notwithstanding his fear, Joseph was warned in another dream and he turned aside to settle in Galilee.

Michelle Obama Dream

Dream #1 - The Football Team

A football team is standing in a locker room. The players are young. Their uniforms are pure white, with blue numbers. The players all have their eyes on the quarterback, who stands above the group.
The quarterback has healthy, shiny black hair, cut a bit longer than ear length on the sides, and about collar length in the back. The quarterback has soft features and white skin. Only a sneer is on the quarterback's face. The object of the sneer is one player sitting on the bench to the right of the main group, separate and alone.
The rejected player wears the same all-white uniform. This player is a girl. She wants to play for the team. But, the quarterback does not like her.
Scene 2 is set in the school library. The female team mate sits alone at a table in the library. The quarterback is being led out of the library by the hand, by her male date, who is not shown except as a fleeting glimpse of white. The quarterback in her sparkling, glimmering red prom dress shines a large smile at the seated girl.
An announcer (without words) explains in a movie-trailer kind of voice, that now the team is going to begin to win even more as the quarterback is now passing to the girl player.
Interpretation:
White uniforms with blue letters: This is the Kingdom of God team.
Quarterback: Christians who pray. Putting up a pass equates to "sending up" a prayer.
Rejected Girl on the team (I prayed for this, people!): Michelle Obama

The Body of Christ, the football team, has largely overlooked Michelle Obama. Instead of praying for her (passing her the ball), she has been ostracized. But, she wants to play! She is happy to be on the team.
Library scene interpretation:

Library: The people inside are people "surrounded by the Word".

Quarterback is a female: The bride of Christ is a female for an important reason. Sins transfer to the husband, not to the wife. There are only "sins of the fathers", but not "sins of the mothers". As brides to Christ (yes, even we men), our sin transfers to Jesus, the bride-groom.

Prom, not a Wedding: We are in mid-season. The wedding feast takes place after the resurrection, not now. Now, we are still running the race.

Teenagers, not Adults: The Body is not yet fully mature. (As shown by the lack of unity on the team.)

Beautiful red dress: Covered by the blood of Christ.

Dream #2- Michelle Obama in a Limousine

The second dream focuses on Michelle Obama.
The scene begins as a large number of well-dressed men and ladies enter the main seating area of a limousine. One of the last to enter is the littler Obama daughter.
There are three or four ongoing conversations. They are loud as the groups attempt to be heard in the contest of sound. Someone turns on a radio. Barack Obama is talking about a product he is promoting.
The daughter asks, "Mommy, when we get home can I ...(something)." Michelle answers, "Maybe."
I wonder what Michelle thinks of the product Barack is promoting on the radio. But, I see she is not listening. Instead, she heard her daughter's small voice above the cacophony of the main area of the limousine. Michelle is seated in the front passenger seat. She is leaning into her right palm. Her thumb and fingers massage her temple and forehead.
In that moment, I feel concerned for her. I ask, "Are you alright?"
She motions with her left hand, in a circular motion about her head. "I just...," she says, "have all this."

Interpretation:
This second dream can really be better understood in conjunction with the first dream: Christians are not praying for Michelle.
The second dream is this: It shows us for what we should pray.
(Again, I prayed for this interpretation- the only way to interpret any dream or vision or anything at all.)
Michelle is burdened with too many thought processes. She needs to delegate some of the things she does to staffers. She needs to yield her decision making to the Holy Spirit; currently, she processes and analyzes, and weights factors to reason a course of action. Even when her daughter asks to do something, she says only, "Maybe." She needs to reduce her responsibilities and receive- without doubts -the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
She needs to spend more time with her daughters. The children are not neglected- this is to satisfy her need to be a mother. The Holy Spirit says, "She is a mother." Spending more time with her daughters will satisfy her heart.
So, Saints, these are our first three objectives to pray for Michelle Obama:
1. To delegate some responsibilities, and lighten her load.
2. For relief from ponderous decisions- by seeking the Holy Spirit's wisdom.
3. For more time with her daughters (and more love, unity, joy, and laughter in those relationships).
May our Father in Heaven mightily bless those who receive this word and pray.

Some Scriptures

In the few days prior to receiving these dreams on April 8th, 2012, I opened my Bible several times and read scriptures that pertained to praying for leaders, and related matters.

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." (1 Tim 2:1-2, KJV)

"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love." (Eph 4:15-16, KJV)

"Take away the wicked [from] before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness." (Pro 25:5, KJV)

Reincarnation Dreams: Deceptions from Devils

I used to believe in reincarnation because I had been duped into believing it by demonic dreams. Each dream was full of accurate detail- and from the exact same time period in which it took place. I dreamed I was a Samurai fighting the system... that I was a French swordsman (yep, swords checked out to 1300 AD France). I sat hours and hours in the main branch of the Philadelphia public library pulling out old books, flipping through catalogs of costumes, weapons, and gear. Time and time again, the details of the dreams matched up to just one era.

I reasoned my mind could not possibly invent this. How could my mind know such details?

One day, a detractor was mocking the reincarnation promoters in a forum. He said, "Ever notice how all the past life recalls are of being a king or a superhero or a high ranking religious person?"

It is true. Something like 80% of the false dreams I received and those of others I have read appeal to the ego. The devil leads you into trouble in a deceptive way. The target of the deception simply thinks they are experiencing some kind of memory. Instead, devils attack the mind, part of the soul, by implanting false ideas, visions, and emotions. But, the attack is not direct. It is not against understanding. It is to create false pride and arrogance. I am a simple person, not a mighty sword master from 300 BC in Japan or from 1300 AD France. In fact, I am mediocre at the forms of martial arts and wrestling in which I trained.

Finally, I was having one of the French era dreams, at an estate ball. I noticed something wrong with a shadow on the ground outside the window. It rippled. As I looked again, suddenly a fish tank appeared on the ledge.

But, already suspicious, I proclaimed, "This is a false dream" and the dream shattered. All the people disappeared. Standing at the far end of the ball room: a huge red demon with a 2-sided sword.

After that, no more past life dreams. Reason: all fake.

Reincarnation is a deception propagated by devils. If you are having them, proclaim you do not desire anything not of God. State plainly such dreams are not welcome. Warning: If you secretly desire such ego-stroking, the demon will keep his right, and come back at the soonest opportunity.

Time to Leave America: NOW

I sincerely hope you carefully consider the dreams and the message I am about to share with you.

Last week, my wife and I moved from America to Europe. For years, I prayed the Lord would give me a $10,000 month as a signal of when I should leave. This happened in the first 10 days of November this year. That is more than 3 times my average monthly income! However, our spirits were already moved to prepare. Throughout September and October, we prepared our hearts and our home for a move.

We left on November 20th. There were many small miracles in how we sold our belongings and found an amazingly inexpensive means to ship the belongings we chose to keep.

Moving the Fruit Trees, Dream #1
November 30, 2012

I am in the house I grew up in. My step-father is there. It is now the very early hours of the morning. He is showing me his work. All night long, he has been working. The house is about to be lost to another, who is coming to take possession. However, the plants are not part of the contract. So, he worked all through the night to remove the fruit trees and green bushes he planted in the back yard during the time he owned the house.

He shows me pictures of each and every plant. He photographed each one, how he removed it and bundled the roots. I scroll through all the images. As the pictures progress, the lighting changes from day to dusk and then to night. Picture after picture of plants carefully dug out and transplanted to a new place are pictures taken in the night. Then, I see some of the trees under the water. And, he worked even under this flood to salvage the trees. Each of the trees dug up and bundled under water is just as carefully bundled as the trees taken in the day or during the night.

Now, I see the backyard. There are potholes in the soil all along the backyard fence where the fruit trees and bushes had been. He started on the right side, worked along the back fence, and finished toward the end of the left side. I notice one lone fruit tree on the right fence. It is a young sapling, less than 5 years old (I grew up around fruit and nut trees in California). It has no leaves, and just two small buds, in the very early stages, are apparent on it's branches. It is partially dug up, about 80% of the way around its roots. It is tilted at an angle, leaning on the fence.

I look at the last tree and think, "Jesus left that one because it did not produce any fruit."

After I woke, I prayed about the dream. This is the meaning of removing the plants and of the last tree.

Removing the fruit trees and bushes: Jesus is moving his faithful servants out of America. Fruit trees are people bringing others to Christ. Green bushes are like the mustard plant, which grows and provides for the Kingdom.

The lone tree with two buds: My personal thoughts about this tree were completely wrong. In fact, this tree sacrificed it all. Remaining, it had managed to continue producing fruit. Because it had no leaves, it was actually sacrificing its own life to nourish those two buds.

The major conclusion of the dream is several. First, Jesus will continue to remove his people out of America. Second, there will be believers yet in America before the trials begin, and even when the flood waters (God's judgment, as in the flood waters of Noah's time) come, believers will still be carefully cared for and removed by Jesus. Third, as shown by the two small buds, salvations will continue during the Tribulation and judgment coming to America and to the world.

I have a dream from several years which also provided the message of the loss of the land and yet people will continue to be permitted to come to Christ. I will edit this post soon to share that dream. It is importantto understand: contrary to arguments I have heard, there will be new salvations once the Tribulation period begins.

End dream #1

Later in the day: I went with my wife to a meeting of entrepreneurs. As we left the apartment, I saw the sun breaking out. I knew that the day would be sunny. Part of the dream included that the following day would be sunny and nice. No surprise at the meeting: it was mostly youth. Most of these were technophiles. And, they had basic or excellent English. As we walked out of the meeting place, the sun was fully out. I mentioned to my wife that the dream told me this day would be sunny. Then, she told me: "We have not had a day this warm on the last day of November since 1917."

The People can Still Come to Me Dream #2

Date forgotten. But, during the time of George W. Bush's presidency

I see George W. Bush sitting on the edge of cloud. Like a scolded young boy, he sits with his head low, his hands planted near his hips, and is slowly swinging his feet back and forth.

Me and a few others approach him. "What is wrong?" we ask.

George explains he made a deal. He was sure this deal would be a success. And, believing he would have success, he put up a piece of land as surety. This land belongs to all the brothers, who are all princes. Now, since the deal fell through, he must give up the land. All the princes agree this must be taken directly to the oldest brother.

Together, they walk directly to the eldest prince. I see he is Jesus.

Once the situation is explained to Jesus, he stands without saying anything. In a few strides, Jesus reaches a white building with high steps and a large throne at the plateau. The man in the seat sees Jesus coming. He cringes in the back of the seat and pushes himself to the side further from Jesus. Jesus leans toward him and says very boldly, "The land is yours. But, the people still have a right to come to me if they choose." The words are very direct and powerful.

One man, standing at the right hand side of the throne hears this from Jesus. Then, he begins to side step away from the throne. I see the man wears a jacket. The outside is a brown material. However, the inner lining is sheep skin.

End dream #2

This dream seems self evident- except that I have not heard any verification of a secret deal made by George W. Bush. Unless of course, it relates to giving away part of Jerusalem. I have heard such a deal has been made. In fact, on the same day as dream #1, the UN voted to recognize Palestine as a state. This is the second step in carving out a piece of Israel to give to the Palestinians. The first step was making the people of the world believe there is a unique people called the Palestinians, who once held a nation called Palestine. Truth is, the "Palestinians" are called that because they lived in a region called Palestine. They hailed from their native countries: Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and others. I heard the testimony of one former Hamas terrorist, who later accepted Christ. He said, "One morning we woke up, and we were no longer Lebanese. Instead, we were Palestinians."

Resetting Dream: A New Twist

Dream interpretation can be endless. However, for years it has seemed to me that the types of interactions with dreams can be broken down and categorized into a limited number of types of dreams. Last night, however, my second night sleeping in Ukraine, my dream events included a previous unknown.

This dream was what I call a resetting dream. A dream which resets typically involves a critical decision with strong influence on later events. The basic format is a series of events seen and/or experienced which lead to a decision point. Once the decision is acted on, the results play out to conclusion. At least once, the decision proves to be less than optimal, or else outright terrible.

When the bad decision's consequences are realized, the dream "resets" to the beginning. It restarts with the preliminary details and plays through to the decision point. At this point a new or slightly different action is taken, and this concludes a different result, usually better. The dream almost always resets over and over again until the best (or just an acceptable?) result is achieved. The only change belongs to the whim of the dreamer, and the results play out according to whatever decision is made.

However, last night's dream included a new twist.

The dream fought back.

Death of a Villain

In the dream, a dark group is aggressively creating conflict with another group. Someone takes a Bowie knife and slams it deep into the head of the villain. I see the knife stuck through the left side of the man's head. The attacker sunk all but an inch and a half through the bone and into his brain.

The villain died. However, he returned to life and his group then wrought havoc on the group they were originally oppressing. It becomes obvious the villain should not have been killed with the large knife.

Reset

The dream plays out as before. I am with a group of others. We all watch the dream progress from outside of the dream itself. When the scene of the stabbing arrives, we have already determined it will not transpire this way. The moment passes. The villain must die. However, in this version, we have decided he will die via another method.

Suddenly, the executioner arrives to collect.

He has a knife and attacks the villain. But, he is not killing him, only injuring him. He has a short, wide knife and slashes the villain's arms and throat. The throat gash does not cut a jugular, just the windpipe.

At this point, my dream perspective changes. I experience the wicked man's plight at the hands of his attacker. I see his eyes. They are grey and cast-over, like an old dog's eyes. But, they also have a silver light coming from behind them. I realize those eyes are the eyes of a demon. As he attacks, I realize, he has changed his part of the dream as well as I have.

Previous to last night, I fully expected the only change to be my own in a series of resetting dreams. In many other dreams, I have noticed the will of other forces in effect. However, not in a resetting dream.

Dream Interpretation: Teeth Falling out with Blood

Several people have written to this blog asking, "What does it mean when I dream my teeth fell out and there was a lot of blood?"

I prayed about this. Blood is the seat of the soul. The soul is in the blood (Lev 17:14). As in the standard dream interpretation of teeth falling out, this represents a loss. However, there is a more specific meaning in the case of blood loss.

A dream of losing a tooth with blood represents an attack on the soul. This is a demonic attack, or some kind of spiritual (aka psychic) attack. Even when a witch or psychic attacks someone else, it is demons that do the heavy lifting. I understand that most psychics and tarot card readers do not understand this is the case. However it is true: Psychic and tarot card readings bring curses to participants.

Why are People Dreaming of Losing Teeth and Blood?

This is now happening because there is a lot of fear in the world. Fear opens doors to devils. Fear is a lack of faith in God. In the late 90's, the Holy Spirit showed me in several nights of long dreams how all the things I did incorrectly in my life were based on types of fear. Each dream ended with, "And fear is a lack of faith."

Before Cain killed Abel, Cain was warned: disobedience brought sin. Because Cain refused to give his best to God, he was told, "sin is crouching at the door."

Keeping his best wheat crops to himself, Abel committed a lack of faith. God gives better and more abundant to those who obey. We should never fear if we understand that God is all powerful.

A dream of losing blood and teeth represents a loss of power and of the enemy gaining access to your soul. According to the Holy Spirit, this is happening more at this time because of an increase in fear because of world events.

Do not fear. Fear not those who can harm the flesh. Fear only the one who sits on the Judgment Seat.

Recalling a Dream before it Manifests

Often, before a dream manifests, the mind recalls and replays the dream. The dream may return to memory in other ways as well. Here are some of the indicators a dream or series of dreams is approaching in time. The list is the order in which I have experienced them, most frequent to least common.

The dream replays in memory. I call this full spontaneous recall (FSR). FSR results from the proximity in time to the manifestation of events seen in one or more dreams. This is an automatic replay of a dream. The replay is not necessarily caused by an external visual stimulus, although this can happen.
A series of déjà vu. Often, before an important event, a series of déjà vu occurs. These are attempts at FSR which fail. However, the déjà vu signals you that you have dreamed something (or seen a vision) before which is coming soon. Dreams focus on important events. When mundane, typical daily events inspire a recall, it is because those events are either related to a significant event approaching in time or those events merely serve as a marker. A marker is an event that may have seemed average, except for the associated déjà vu.
Reviewing a dream journal sometimes precedes the manifestation of a dream event. I recorded fifteen Mead black and white marble composition books full of dreams. Occasionally, I felt compelled to read through them. Sometimes, I found dreams which already transpired without me remembering they had been previously dreamed. Other times, I read an event, and then it came to pass within a few days, usually within a week.
Finding old dream notes. One of the techniques I teach for those interested in recalling and interpreting dreams, is to take notes immediately after waking. There have been about a dozen times when I found some old notes, reviewed them, remembered the dream on which they are based, and then lived the dream a short time afterward. This usually has a one day lag time.
Increase in dream detail or dream frequency: Sometimes, especially concerning an event covered in several dreams, the dream topic density will increase in time (more in a shorter time frame). And, the amount of detail available in the dream also increases. This happens at the individual level, and at local levels. For example, several people dreamed of the 9/11 attacks, or saw visions, years before the attacks. (I saw a dream in 1996, and a vision in 1998). However, in the months before September, 2001, many people posted dreams in chat rooms and on dream sites about an attack.Often, but not always, in my personal experience, the dreams in a series that happen closest to the actual event have more detail.
A feeling of "something is going to happen": Before the September 11, 2001 false flag attack on the World Trade Center, I experienced a sense of dread. This happened three times. Each time, I was on-site at a storm drain design and renovation project. I started the job in August, just one month prior. I misinterpreted the sensation; I sat with my new boss and asked if he was satisfied with my work so far. I told him I had a feeling I might be fired. He said not to worry. I was at that project site on the morning of September 11th. It was there I received the news that planes crashed into the first tower. Despite that experience, a few years later, the feeling something bad would happen returned. I experienced it a few times. It felt like I was going to lose my job. I took my concern again to my boss. I asked him if I would be fired. He said no. A week later, my Army National Guard phoned me and informed me we had been activated.
Feeling a “sense” of the dream. This is least common because the place of the event must have a unique sense to it, and the event must be worthy of enough dreams for the dreamer to develop a working awareness of it. What is meant here by a dream having a “sense” is a real trait of physical and geographic places. New York has a different feel than Naha, Okinawa. Athens, Georgia feels different than Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. If you see yourself standing in a strange place, precognitively, in a dream, you can sometimes capture or notice the sense of that place. When the future place appears several times in many dreams spanning years, you will develop an awareness of the sense of that place. And, if the sense of that place suddenly hits you, consider the topic of those dreams may be approaching. This often causes one or more of the dreams to be remembered as well.

How to Break Demonic Dreams

My sister has Satanic dreams almost every night. She says she doesn't have good dreams. Either it's a Satanic dream or she doesn't dream at all. How can she stop this on-going cycle?

This question challenges all Christians, and all dreamers from every philosophical and theological position. Two main actions immediately come to mind. Before discussing the course of action to be taken, understanding the root causes should be understood. Not understanding the cause of nightmares or demonic dreams does not reduce the effectiveness of the following efforts.

Causes of Demonic Dreams

Satan and demons attack without cause or justification. Sometimes the best course is to “resist the devil”, as James, the brother of Jesus, tells us. The full statement is, “Obey God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7) So, James prescribes a two-part remedy. First, obey God. Second, resist the devil. Obeying God means obeying His commandments. You can find those at Exodus 20:3-17. With man, it is not possible to obey these commands. Even years of success fail with just one infraction. However, "with God, all things are possible". A common misunderstanding in the church is the interpretation of "grace". Grace is not a free pass to wonton sin. Grace is the power, in God, to overcome the world.
A second cause of demonic dreams is a family curse. If your great-great-great grandpappy sold moonshine and that ‘shine was poisonous, he knew it and sold it anyway… and someone perished, this can be cause for a family curse. Modern science recognizes the effect of family curses. Science calls it “genetic traits”. They don’t really understand the cause, they just see the effects and create the best explanation they can within their philosophical limitations. If your sister and your mother or father, and some grandparents also have reported episodes of demonic dreams, this can be the root cause: a generational curse.If the same malady or disease follows your family generation to generation, pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal the cause to you, and how to break it permanently.
The third major origin of demonic attack is ownership or possession of cursed items. The item basically serves as a welcome mat to demons. A preacher in New York in 2010 told a story of casting out a “demon of Karate” from a doctor. She had delivered him the previous year. He repented and quit martial arts. However, the demon manifested a year later in extreme outbursts of anger and displays of great strength (he lifted a massive, solid oak table with no effort). The root cause: he had kept his training gi and black belt displayed in a glass case in the office of his medical practice. Once the last vestiges were discarded, and a second renunciation made, the man was set free. Some common anchors for demonic activity are rock music CDs, trance music, Buddha statues (even tiny ones), drug paraphernalia, and otherwise harmless items with demons or demonic symbols drawn onto them (Pokemon, for example).
A fourth cause can be an unrighteous activity of the target. The person being tormented may be doing something that forms a wrong lifestyle. It can be as simple as gossiping or as violent as performing abortions.
Another cause of demonic activity results from wrong associations. People who regularly spend time with murderers expose themselves to the very real risk of becoming a murderer. The same goes for hanging out with the sexually immoral, those who use vulgar speech, thieves, drug users, and etcetera. An audio recording of Win Worley in the 1980’s explains how he cast out a demon of “mind control” from a young man. The youth had never practiced mind control himself. However, he had two friends who did dabble in it briefly. Though he rejected their offer to teach him what they knew, the demon claimed a right because the young man continued his friendships with the two who taught themselves mind control. Proverbs 13:20 "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."

How to Break Demonic Dreams

Breaking a string of demonic dreams sometimes is instantaneous. Other times, days of prayer and effort seem to yield no results. However, the following techniques have been shown to produce results:

Cease performing any wrong or immoral activity. You can remove gossip from your life, for example, if every time you hear some bad info on someone, you insist on praying for them. This worked for me! The next time a gossiper stops you to download the 4-1-1 on Mary Cranston’s life issues, say, “Oh, that devil sure is hitting our friend hard. Let’s pray!” Start the prayer immediately while gossipy Sue stares in amazement. This is super effective!
Break unhealthy relationships. Your friends who play Dungeons and Dragons must go. Those high school buddies who smoke pot and sell uppers- they are a spiritual curse in your life. All your girlfriends that go to nightclubs for one-night stand hook-ups, they are anchors of unhealthy relationship spirits.
Search your home for demonic icons or anything that a demon would claim is unholy. When I did this, I literally searched drawer by drawer and box by box. I made several trips to a dumpster with boxes and boxes of books, toys, cards, things with strange images, questionable music and movie CDs, and anything that questionable.

Even after all this, a demon might remain. They sometimes claim an unrepentant heart. To defeat this final stand, repent. Apologize to God for these unhealthy things.

Finally, command every evil spirit that entered your life because of any of the old things to be gone. “Go, and do not return.”

The Good, the Bad, and the False: Types of Dreams and Origins

A visitor to the blog asked about my use of the term "bad dream". Here is the response:

Shadow,

I define a "false dream" to be one created expressly to deceive the recipient thereof. Such dreams may actually be exactly prophetic. The demons who author such dreams occasionally predict future events with great accuracy. Often, this is because details are kept vague or because the false dreams are anchored with a spirit of deception.

A "bad" dream may be a false dream or a true dream. A true dream, to me, can even be a dream which is only the mind exploring itself, or the nature of recent life events. It is a valid dream and can be analyzed with scientific means to learn truth about the individual dreamer. A true dream can be "bad" if issues presented are stressful to the dreamer or otherwise address undesirable future events. Such dreams seem “bad” but actually benefit the dreamer by tipping her off to pray against those events, and to take action to prevent their manifestation.

In summation, a false dream is always bad, whether it is 100% accurate or fully a lie. A true dream can be from the Kingdom of God. These dreams always benefit the dreamer whether the topic seems “bad” or “good”. Another true dream is a work of the mind. This dream is risky to assess. The mind shows as true what it believes- even if it is false.

I had a dream that my boyfriends car was driving past with the left indicator on, the strange thing is that there was no driver. do you know what a car without a driver could mean?

The answer follows a simple contemplation of any car which is moving without a driver. The driver is the guidance system. When there is no driver, the dream shows: This person has no guidance. Each of us should have guidance in life. Wise counselors (successful people with love, happiness, good relationships, etc.), wisdom, understanding, and the Holy Spirit are guides for most people.

Having a guidance system or driver can also symbolize a life plan or philosophy of life.

Left turn signal: A turn to the left in almost every major religion in the world signals a turn into darkness. Buddhism describes the "left hand path", which is evil. Christianity warns we should "Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil" (Pro 4:27, KJV). It seems your bf is about to take a turn for the worse. Are you going to follow him?

Alternately, such a dream can mean the person has no "drive", no personal motivation, ambition, or goals.

Note that both these interpretations overlap.

Remember: Dreams warn. You should pray to overcome any potential undesirable events seen in dreams.

Demon Moving Backwards in a Dream

Several people found this blog last month searching for "Demon moving backwards in my dream". That disturbs me. So, I prayed about it and I now have these comments for anyone seeing this dream.

First, the fact that you saw an actual demon, and not some guise like a meter man, the cable guy, or a mechanic shows demonic deception is failing against you. Somehow, you have pierced the careful shadow of deception evil always pushes before it. This is good.

The demon moving backward is working up momentum to put aspects of your life into retrograde. This is similar (on a much smaller scale) to Superman flying counter to the spin of the earth to reverse time and save Lois Lane. But, there no good intentions exist here.

The first lesson every dream interpreter needs to understand is that some dreams are the work of the enemy. The devil can, and does insert dreams into people's subconscious during their sleep.

However, no demon, no power or principality can defeat God's proclamations. First, God promises that He always leaves a way out of every challenge. So, you have a way to victory.

For Christians, victory exists not in ourselves buy in the Power of the Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit. So, we pray and ask God to intervene. We also use the authority given to us:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means harm you. (Luke 10:19)

So, Christians, you have authority over these demons. Command them like you would a person over whom you have complete authority, like a king to a prisoner.

Symbolism of a House in a Dream

When you dream of a house, what does it mean? Can a house have more than one meaning? The house has many meanings!

The Meaning of the House Dream

A house represents your life. Think about it. Your life revolves around your house. If you go on a trip, you return to your home. You leave from your house to drive to work 250 days a year. Each of those days, you return to your home. It is the center of your life. No matter what you do, you return home.

Christian Dream Interpretation of a House

When Christians dream about a house, the meaning can be more specific. The walls of a house are prayer. Many dreams I have interpreted for Christians in recent years involve a house: hiding in the house from trouble outside, or else watching out windows while a flood rises outside- but miraculously not breaking the windows. The Christian interpretation of a house in a dream (the walls, anyway) seems to be almost always prayer.

Prayer forms a barrier between the prayer warrior and the will of the enemy of God. Other dream symbols of prayer I have seen are a barbed wire fence and a stone wal. But, the walls of a house are the most common symbol found in Christians' dreams. "My house will be called a house of prayer..." (Mat 21:13a).

The walls of a house can represent the protecting prayers of a Christian.

Houses, Generally

A typical house can have three levels: A basement, a ground floor, and an attic. Each of these represents a different aspect of a person. The ground floor represents daily life. This is the level of life we can plainly see. The living room carries a fairly obvious meaning. The attic represents the subconscious and sometimes it can represent an interaction with spiritual issues.

Basement

The basement stores things out of use, or which will be used at a future time. The basement, for most, was not an active part of the life plan (the ground floor). It is a place of storage, or a place to relax and recline (game room).

A dark, scary basement may represent repressed memories, something difficult to process or accept. Undesirable memories are stored in the basement.

Attic

Attics in a dream often represent the subconscious mind. Items here are stored for later use. They are available when necessary.

Third floor

Some dreamers report breaking through the attic to reach a third floor. This floor represents the spiritual life of the dreamer, not the attic. Note carefully the construction and any instantaneous thoughts about the construction, sturdiness, or strength of the third floor. This represents your spiritual life.

When I was a new Christian, I read many books and learned many things which were New Age (demonic and broken). I dreamed during that time of finding a door at the edge of the attic. I passed through, climbed rickety stairs, and found myself in a third floor room. The walls were mostly burned out on one side. The wind blew through and pushed at me. The floor was an arrangement of new boards, nailed at odd angles. Plywood walls were also new. Everything was built haphazard. Fire had also damaged the roof and the walls adjacent the missing wall.

I could see a bright sun from there. Intense light caused me to turn my head and lift my arm to protect my eyes.

Because I was not responsible with my spiritual life, I had built a rickety, dangerous third floor. But, I could see the Son from there!

Review of house meaning, from the Basement up:

Basement: Things you infrequently use, or never want to use

Ground floor: Daily living and everyday life

Attic, things you use somewhat regularly, but are not using now; things on hold

Third floor: spiritual life

Walls (Christian meaning): Prayers

Remember: These usages are very common. But, dream interpretation is properly undertaken with prayer. The Holy Spirit leads into all understanding. And, as Joseph and Daniel both state, “Interpretation belongs to God.” This is true for dreams, visions, and anything else which requires interpretation.

Variations on houses in dreams and their meaning:

Dream Meaning New House: Something new is coming into your life. Perhaps your future holds a new life.

Dream Interpretation of a House on Fire: Something in your life requires immediate attention. It is rapidly destroying your life. Could this be less obvious? If there is a fire in your house, immediate action is necessary.

Dream of a Moving House: Your life is going somewhere. Perhaps you will move to a new place- and have a new house there. Some aspect of your life is in transition. Look for other details in the dream that may refine the interpretation and understanding.

Dream Interpretation- Flooding House: A flood represents the Judgment of God. Even Jungian interpreters have to pay close attention to this interpretation. In the history of God and His people, the flood of Noah was God’s judgment on the wickedness of mankind. Many dreams in recent years of tsunamis, or three tsunamis in rapid succession, are about judgment coming on the people of the world. And, judgment starts with the house of God. The symbol of a flood as judgment is now part of the “collective unconscious” in the idea of Jung (who, according to his own words, really just translated a book on eastern mysticism). However, for those who pray, you might just be told by the Holy Spirit that flooding waters are judgment. If the waters are into your own household, what does that mean? It could be for just one member of the home. Or, it could mean the entire neighborhood or nation.

Isaiah 59:19 "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him."

2 Peter 2:5 "And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly..."

Dream Interpretation- Cleaning a House: This dream shows you are cleaning up your life. More specifically, it indicates cleaning dark spirits out. This is strongly indicated if you are sweeping the house clean. Here is a scripture establishing this:

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished. (Mat 12:43-44)

So, we see that casting out demons is symbolized by sweeping a house. And, of course, we see the house represents a person here.

Conclusion:

A house in a dream typically represents life. It can convey a wide variety of messages. This is especially true when a dream focuses on your house. Details of the house (moving or on fire, for example) represent aspects of your life. However, sometimes a house is just a house. A dream about a new house may literally signal a new house coming into your life (but not when!) Because of the interconnectedness of the spiritual and the physical, moving into a new house can be a reflection of the spiritual condition. Of course, there are many wonderful people living in austere poverty because of the spiritual condition of their nation, not their own spirits.

Dream Interpretation Principles

You recalled a dream. What do you do first?

1. Is the dream only ruminations of the mind? If so, disregard it. The mind is so convoluted with fear, selfish ambition and other false information that analysis becomes a complicated maze best approached only by veteran analysts with a lot of time.
2. If you have a "real" dream, is it from the Kingdom of God? If it is not, just forget about it and do not even mention it to others. A false dream gives some value, however. The false dream originates from darkness, from evil. It intends to deceive, corrupt and ruin. Look at the disinformation and misguidance of darkness. When you begin to see the hallmarks of fear, you will more ably reject false dreams. Further, you will more easily identify other dream workers and dream teachers who walk in deception.
3. Keep good notes. Reviewing notes stimulates recall.
4. Pray for recall, understanding, wisdom and interpretation in dreams and in all things. Natural intuition signals us when negative people and negative influences attempt to contact us. Be aware of this inner heart knowledge. Your heart IS you. It will not betray you. You do not need to train your heart. It knows how to recognize truth.
5. Is part of the dream real, and another part bogus? Remember: the devil has come to "steal, kill, and destroy". One of the ways he does this is to "tag on" a false addendum to a real dream or vision. When praying for an interpretation, if something feels wrong, one question to ask the Holy Spirit is if part of the dream is false, or if all of it is false.

Part of Tooth Falling Out - Dream Interpretation

My wonderful grandmother passed away in March, 2011. Just a few days before, I dreamed this dream:

I see a tooth. On the side is a spur. This spur has been constantly agitating me. I run my tongue along the line of my teeth on the lower left side. The spur is gone. I check again. It is gone. I tell my wife, “You know that spur which has been agitating me for so long? It’s gone.” This feels good.

Then, the tooth is shown. The spur is absent. Also, I see the center portion come out. It looks like a little mountain. It is pure white at the top, but a bit yellowish near the bottom. The remaining tooth looks like a ring of mountains, with just pink gums in the interior.

Manifestation:

Shortly after this, I received the last contract from my father, for whom I have performed engineering for the last 4 years. His business style is very pushy, controlling, and unreasonable. Since I no longer work for him, I still have the same income, but far less stress and tension.

However, just two more days later, my grandmother (my father’s mother) passed away.

Dream Interpretation:

Tooth falling out interpretation: The center portion of tooth represented my grandmother passing away. Toward the end of her life, she had a lot of peace. She forgave every person who ever wronged her, and spent time praying and reading the Bible. This is the white peak. Because she always prayed, and because she had such great love, this is a loss for me. I have lost a source of enrichment in my life. A tooth is a means by which we sustain ourselves. Teeth process our food in the process of ingesting it. So also the prayers of my grandmother were a form of processing he will of God and praying it into my life.

Tooth spur falling out dream interpretation: This represented the work & income I received from my earthly father. Just as the tooth spur falling out removed an annoyance, so the end of our work relationship ended a lot of tension.

Third party relevance:

This dream is interesting from the perspective of my father. From his position, he first fired me, cutting me out in a way. Second, his mother died. Three generations are like a flower. The stem is my father. The root is his mother. The head of the flower is me. He cut off the head. Once that is broken, the roots die.

Interference in Dreams from Movies

In 1998, two movies opened on the same topic: an asteroid hits the earth. Deep Impact and Armageddon both hit the silver screen less than two months apart from each other. Deep Impact opened May 8th and Armageddon opened July 1st.

More than a year before the movies opened, and long before any trailer hit the screen, I dreamed about a major disaster on the earth involving a giant meteor collision. I saw heroic shuttle pilots going out to somehow intercept the asteroid. I even included in my notes how one of the astronauts was a woman. I recorded several details. All the details appeared in one movie or the other. Most, but not all, of the details were from Deep Impact. These were actually several different dreams related to the theme of an asteroid hitting the earth. I thought it was a persistent dream, an important message attempting to push through into my conscious knowledge.

On the night of October 20, 2011 (2 days ago, as I write this) I dreamed about a man who belonged to God, but who left his post and was living to fulfill his own desires. I saw he did not understand where he was. Then I saw a body of water. I heard the word, “Livermore” (a town 40 minutes from Modesto). In the end of the dream, I saw he was killing fish.

This dream really bothered me! Although the man did not look like me at all, I really worried whether the man might be me. I wondered, “What am I doing wrong in life?” I even talked it over with my wife.

Last night, I went to the Red Box in the super market to rent a DVD movie. There are two boxes, and I scrolled through the options in the first rental kiosk until I selected “Black Death”, a film about knights, a monk, and some soldiers who ride out to investigate rumors of a necromancer. After receiving that movie, I checked the second kiosk. I took, as a backup, “Peacemaker” with George Clooney.

At home, we first inserted Peacemaker, and began to watch it. Nicole Kidman, wanting to know the radiation output of a nuclear blast in Russia, asks, “What does Livermore say?” I looked at my wife, “Livermore. Can you believe it? That was in my dream last night.” After a few minutes more, we both realized that we had previously seen the movie, and replaced it with the Black Death DVD.

The main character in Black Death is a monk who leaves the monastery to help the knights and soldiers because he is in love with girl. The body of water which appears is a swamp surrounding the town where the necromancer lives. In the end of the movie, because the necromancer witch tricks the monk into killing the woman he loved, the monk becomes a swordsman, killing young women accused of being witches.

So, the bothersome dream was actually a movie! This has happened many other times. I suspect this is somehow facilitated by the fact that dreaming and watching movies both find the brain in a Delta wave state. However, it may also be that some percentage of dreams are simply the dreamer seeing beforehand what he/she will personally see at some future point in space-time.

Summary:
So, I have three examples shared in this article of how a precognitive dream was actually a scene from a movie: asteroid impact in Deep Impact and Armageddon; The word Livermore from Peacemaker; scenes from Black Death; and even a cartoon scene from a Play Station game.

Two Jews’ Dreams about Alexander the Great

The Prophet Daniel

The first Jew to dream about Alexander the Great was Daniel, a eunuch slave in Babylon. This was a vision at the River Shushan in the land of Elam.

Daniel 8:5-8 “And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat [had] a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to the ram that had [two] horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.”

The “he goat” is Alexander the Great. Alexander destroyed Persia, the “ram”. The great horn was Alexander’s Empire. The four “notable” horns that came up afterward were the four regions into which that empire was divided after the death of Alexander.

Rabbi Jaddua

The second Jew to dream about Alexander was Rabbi Jaddua. According to the Jewish historian Josephus, Rabbi Jaddua saw a dream in which he wore his priestly robes and took his official head priest staff and went to see Alexander.

Rabbi Jaddua understood the dream was from Jehovah, and did as he saw in the dream. When Alexander saw the rabbi, he dismounted his horse and bowed to him. (Some accounts say he fell prostrate on the ground.) This was very rare for Alexander to bow to anyone. Parmerio, Alexander’s top general asked about the bow. To this, Alexander answered that he had seen the man in a dream and understood that the God of this man was the one who gave him victory. So, he had bowed to the god of the rabbi (Jehovah), and not to Rabbi Jaddua himself. Some accounts say that Alexander saw this rabbi, attired in royal robes, go before him in every battle.

Alexander the Great went to the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem and worshiped Almighty God. The rabbis showed him the text of Daniel chapter 8. To this, Alexander rejoiced and he believed (correctly) that he would fulfill the vision.

What Percentage of People Dream in Color?

This dream teaching blog has run a poll in the left margin for most of its existence. Let’s discuss the results of these polls. First, please realize that these are not exactly “scientific” polls and must admit to some bias. First, those visiting this blog are more active and interested in dreams than most others. Second, by choosing to read this blog, visitors are obviously more intelligent and possess greater class than those who read other blogs. So, there is a fair scientific dissenting commentary for the following poll results.

The poll asked “Do you dream (mostly) in:” and four options were given from which to choose. These options are: color, black & white, cartoon, and “audio only”. Here are the results of 114 respondents over a period of more than a year (Thank you to everyone who participated!):

Color: 105
Black & white: 7
Cartoon: 1
Audio only: 1

Total: 114

So, those who dream in color are in the majority: 92.1%. However, it is interesting that 7 people dream in black & white. This means 6.1% of the cool, wonderful people who visit this blog dream mostly in black & white. Those who dream mostly in cartoon or who dream only in audio are unique. Less than 1%, or just 0.88% of our respondents dream in these two ways.

There may be even other ways in which people dream. I listed the four above options because I have had examples of these formats in my own dreaming. An interesting note is this: after blogging about dreams in cartoon, I had two more dreams in cartoon in the following two weeks. If you have never dreamed in one or more of the above formats, perhaps, after reading this post, you will!

Dream about Russian Invasion of U.S. West Coast (& Dream Training Notes)

Original Dream: 1994 or 1995

I dreamed this while living in Philadelphia. I was convinced it was a dream of historical California. But, after intense research, I never found there to be any event like it.

Dream:

First scene: I am with my wife. We pack our belongings into a cart pulled by a horse. We are fleeing ahead of the Russians. The Russians have gained control of the area and all the current occupants must leave.

Second scene: I am at a pier waving goodbye to my sister and her husband as they leave on a ship to France. Everyone is moving to France. I do not have enough money to buy passage. But, I will remain until I can get working passage. I go and return to where everyone is living in a makeshift shanty town. I go to a soup kitchen. The price is very low, just a few coins. As I arrive to throw my coins into the collection, I see an interesting coin. I trade one of my quarters for this other quarter. Someone sees me and thinks I am stealing. I tell him I collect coins. There is a discussion about if I have stolen from the collection pile. Others in the line confirm I traded a coin for the coin I took.
My real reason for taking the coin is that I have a gift of dreaming and that I know I need to grab this coin to convince my own self, who dreamed this dream many years ago. Then, I look at the coin. I see that the back is different than all coins were in 1994. As I stare at the coin, I begin to talk to myself: Look at the coin. The back is different! See the different coin!" I do this to convince myself that the dream is real.

Notes:

At the time I saw this scene via dreaming, I thought the coin was a 1976 coin and could not make head nor tail of the message I was sending to myself. Thinking about it now, I realize I was providing proof to myself: the coin, I am sure, is one of the "state quarters." I was relaying to myself a validation of the dream by focusing on a quarter which would not come into mint until 1999. I trained myself to do this in the mid-90's. Since that time, I have found myself, in the middle of an interesting moment, doing something expressly to put information in front of my eyes so that it may be seen in a precognitive dream. In the same way that a dream-vision is written and choreographed to communicate information, you are a real-time, embedded choreographer in the dream. If you can think of it, work to infuse more information into the scene.

Here is an interesting mention on this practice: In the first dream you receive, you will watch yourself performing some side action with the sole purpose of transferring information to yourself sometime in the past via a dream. However, when the actual real-time event comes around, you will remember that you have already dreamed this event, and that you performed some special action to show information. You will then think, "I need to fulfill that action in order to fulfill the dream."

In the event with the coin, as I dreamed it, I merely understood that the reverse of the coin differed from coins at the time I was dreaming in 1995. However, if nothing changes and that dream comes to pass, and I find myself in the soup line in a refugee camp in SoCal, I will recognize the event, and I will then pick up the coin and examine it. My thoughts will be different than in the original dream.

This is a chain dream. (See post, Types of Dreams) Consecutive scenes show subsequent moments in a developing topic. The topic above could be titled “vacating California”, or “Fleeing Russians”, or even something else. Chain dreams have two major purposes. First, they show you that these things are related.
Second, chain dreams are often the format for warning dreams. Warning dreams contain some smaller links at the beginning which serve as confirmation of the dream chain as a whole. For example, in the warning dream I received in 1998 about Chinese Submarines attacking America, the first scene in the dream showed a missile attack across the Black Sea. That missile attack actually occurred one week after I dreamed about it. I call these links in the chain dream guideposts. In a chain dream with three or more parts, after each part comes to pass, you have an understanding that the last scene is closer than before.
