Seniors Costa Craycombe Trophy

The Senior Men from Evesham Golf club held the Costa Craycombe Trophy at the Club on Wednesday 20th May 2026 . It is a members only Strokeplay 18 hole competition. It was won by Geoff Taylor (pictured) with a net score of 71. He had a very good day as he also won the nearest the pin competition on the 9th.

Seniors Wychavon Cup

On Wednesday 13th May Evesham Golf Club held the Wychavon Cup for mixed Senior competitors. It is a betterball, Strokeplay format played off the yellow tees. The course was in excellent condition but the weather was mixed with occasional heavy showers. It was a close call at the top with two teams registering scores of 67. The winners on countback were Dave Bushell and Paul Walker from Malcolm Carnall and Michael Hocking.

Seniors Coronation Cup

On Wednesday 6th May 2026 the Seniors at Evesham Golf club took part in the Coronation Cup Trophy on a bright sunny day. The Stableford competition is played over 18 holes off the white tees. It was won by a new member to the Seniors Section but not to the club, Mark Adams. He was amongst the last group to finish winning with a score of 38pts beating William Dobie into second place with 37pts.

Ray Till Tankards Trophy

Photographed receiving the from Senior Men’s Captain Dave Rose are Malcolm Hiscock and Roy Hope. The competition played at Evesham Golf club on Monday 13th April is a drawn partner Greensome Parbogey Strokeplay event played over 18 holes. The winners won with an impressive +5 score.

Seniors 3 Club Competition

Photo shows Paul Buckley receiving his 3 Club trophy from Senior Men’s Captain Dave Rose after winning the trophy at Evesham Golf Club on Wednesday 11th March 2026. It is a 18 hole Stableford competition using only 3 Clubs, one of which must be a putter. Paul won with a score of 32 Pts.

Eric Tyler Trophy

The photograph shows the winner of the Eric Tyler Trophy Martin Williams being presented with this trophy by the Seniors Mens Captain Dave Rose. It was played on Wednesday 08.04.26 in glorious warm sunny weather conditions. It’s a singles Strokeplay competition played off the white tees over 18 holes. It’s a return to form for Martin who beat 32 competitors with a nett score of 65.

Senior Mens Winter league Winners 2025/26

The Senior Mens Winter League competition started in October 2025 and finished in February 2026. It’s a 10 game stableford competition played off the yellow tees, with the best 5 results to count. Nick Turner won with a score of 175 points. Pictured is Nick Turner being presented with his trophy by the Seniors Captain Dave Rose, who ironically he beat by 2pts .

Running alongside the main Winter League event was the Eclectic competition which is a stableford competition played over the same 10 matches. The result is based on the best score from each hole over the 10 matches. Mick Hocking won with an aggregate score of 55 and is pictured receiving his trophy from the Senior Mens Captain Dave Rose.

Linford Competition

Hats off to the 17 hardy souls who braved the slippery and wet conditions to play today (9th February 2026). Fully understand those who did not fancy it, and deep felt sympathy for buggy users who are being held at bay at the moment.

Final results were:

1^st – Bob Devonshire 36pts £25

2^nd – Geoff Taylor 32pts on countback £14

3^rd – Charles Nixon 32pts £7

The attached photo shows Senior Mens Captain David Rose receiving his Golfer of the year ward 2025 from Vice Captain Trevor Hocking. The award is based on his performance’s in Senior Mens trophy/cup competitions and representing the Seniors in matchplay matches against local Golf clubs through out 2025. A well deserved trophy.
