Evolution is Back

After a few frustrating weeks Evolution is back in shape.

Our transmitter tower apparently had a few birds living a top. Being the true heroes they are, a few of your favourite Evolutionaries pulled on their gum boots and headed up to see the world. After a few bouts with the birds, our signal is now going strong.

Thank you to all those who stuck out the rough patch.

The Last Shot on today's show will have some eclectic stuff for ya:

First things first, get to the Croatian Cultural Centre on Commercial until 5pm today if you want to trade in that Culture Club vinyl for a little Black Mountain or vice versa (you never know what makes people tick).

It's the 2009 record & cd swapmeet!

Only 3 bucks to get in and a whole lot of cool stuff to sift through: records, cd's, posters and more.... maybe even bobble heads....

Sebastien Granger and the Mountains are playing tonight at Richards on Richards (and a free show at 3:30pm at Zulu Records!)

(One of best late night tv moments for me, when Death from Above 1979 performed on Conan and Sebastien got off the drums and Max Weinberg got on- who says you can't play like that in a suit?!)

Spinal Tap is coming to Vancouver May 17th at the Centre for Performing Arts

Although they say it's evening with Christopher Guest, don't be fooled, there will be Spinal Tap!

The Grand March to end Homelessness is happening tomorrow!

The Citywide Housing Coalition along with lots of help has organized this march in support of social housing and raising the minimum wage.

You can go to one of three meeting points at noon tomorrow:

Thornton Park @ Main Street Skytrain station
Hastings and Main
Peace Flame Park, south end of the Burrard Bridge.

All three marches will end up at a rally at 1:30 at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

This will be big!

NIckelback have the most juno nods this year...5.
