I personally prefer growing my traffic with articles writing. Here are some things to take note when you are writing your articles. The main purpose is to provide content and interest the reader to click on your link in the resource box to go to your website. The website where they are taken to must have the same theme as the article. Readers are clever enough to see your plot to just promote them some affiliate products.

Writing more isn’t better everytime. The more you write doesn’t mean the more you will earn from affiliate commissions. There are articles which are just mass produced by some article generators. Do you think your readers are robots? Always write in the shoes of your reader and not for the sake of making a sale. This way, your article will be more inclined to solving your readers’ problem and they will buy your solution. It is a bit of a copywriting thing involved.

Spreading your articles the correct way will definitely give your article the attention it deserves and give a boost to your traffic. There are many stories about submitting the same article to multiple directories may actually do more SEO harm to your article. So to avoid this, it is sufficient to distribute your article to the top article directories with high PR and high reader base. In this way you can get readers from both search engines and the article directories. Do it on a regular basis, and you will be able to grow your traffic with loyal readers who will always buy on your recommendations.

Setting up a blog today is a very easy task. You can just go to wordpress and follow the step by step instructions to set up your blog on your hosted site. Remember that content is always the most important component and you should not neglect it. The main motive is to attract recurring traffic and build up your readership. It is useless to go all out to attract traffic when you do not have enough content or do not have the motivation to post content everyday.

It is easy to create a blog but hard to maintain it. Maintainance is the key to sustain readership and it is best to have a plan to create content before you even think of starting. There are a few ways to create content on a blog. One lazy method is by using automated method where the blog will auto syndicate to other people content. However, this is not a very good way to build up readership and I don’t recommend it unless you are just testing out the niche. One good method is to write the posts yourself if you have the knowledge and motivation. The best lazy method is to outsource it and just shall focus on the marketing portion.

Once the content is being taken care of, you can go all out now to attract traffic by joining social networks and particpate in forums relating to your niches. This is to create awareness to your blog. It is important to be recognized by the people in the same niche as you so other people will recognize you as one of the expert and trust your recommendations.

Once you have a loyal army of readers, you can then start to monetize your blog by putting adsense or promote affiliate products. A better way would be to come out with your own product and promote it to your readers. Then have your readers promote you. This is when your traffic will really grow and you will be recognized as an expert. At this point of time, money will come in automatically and you really can’t stop it unless you close down your blog or stop providing good content. That’s about all.

So what do I mean by a marketing plan? It means how you are going to sustain your promotion for a period of time preferably forever with the niche earning you money on autopilot. If you just plan on creating a squeeze page and hope that buyers will come by, then you are just creating another empty house in the virtual world.

A rudimentary plan should includes a market research, some traffic generation methods, and some promotion strategies to make the buyers buy from you and not from others. This is what everybody has already know. And so market research is the most prized skill which you should hone first before plunging into any market. I believe that the best way to hone your market researching skills is to do more research and more testing. The more you practise the better you become in selecting profitable niches.

With a profitable niche on hand and the product to sell, the rest is easy. I can easily list more than 10 methods to generate traffic. And the laziest method is to just outsource this part of the task to a traffic generation specialist.

Lastly, do split testing on your sales page or squeeze page to squeeze the most out of the traffic. Testing shouldn’t be outsourced unless you want someone else to know how much you are earning.

But for the benefit of those who don’t know, I hope to have the privilege to let you know that selling information is the best way to earn money online. If you have the same symptoms as me then probably you are an easily distracted person.

Here a list of symptoms for you to check yourself.

1. Easily click on a link while you are doing work, then come back to your work after you realise you have wasted more than 30 minutes which you have regretted wasting or didn’t even realise it.
2. Chatting with many friends online at one time leaving your work undone.
3. Tends to leave a lot of windows open at one time while doing your work.
4. Start to surf net to see what are the latest movies.
5. Feel that you should relax for a while every time you start to work on your business.
6. Always think you have a lot of time left to complete your work while you actually have barely enough.

Distraction is probably my number one killer of my own time. I often waste a lot of productive time being lead by the nose to look out for profitable ideas or opportunities. I subscribed to many lists whenever they promised me a free report or an ecourse or just a tip. Sometimes I subscribed to people list just to spy on their marketing strategies. This may be useful if you are looking to learn how to promote from other people in your niche.

To be successful, I must get rid of my bad habits above and here is my own checklist to help me prevent myself from beign distracted. You can follow them too.

1. Do everything you have to do first before you even start to check your mails.
2. Remember the power of ONE. Do ONE thing at a time. Close all the windows when you do not need them so you won’t have the tendency to click on them.
3. Focus on your niche and read thing that you know that is beneficial to your business while discarding everything else.
4. Have a timetable so you can be disciplined enough to do all what you are required to do and finish them on time.
5. Lastly, whenever you start any promotion, have a timeline so you can better manage your campaign and try to finish everything you need to do on schedule.

Time is money and let us save our time for more important things.

Think all of us should learn from mistakes. I am not trying to procastinate here because I would rather try to think of more creative ideas to earn more money. Procastination is simply a waste of time and nobody is going to pity you. 

I used to rush through the whole night building a website just to be the first to promote a hot new product as an affiliate. Well, this has earned me quite a bit of money since I am the first to tap the traffic from PPC but it wasn’t the thing that I am looking for. I believe an internet business shouldn’t be like this. Earning money is one thing, but to build a business on just a night effort seems like it wasn’t going to last for long. This is proven as more sites will pop up later promoting the same product as you. Bummer!

And finally, like a pail of water splashing down my head, I finally realised that I can be the one coming up with marketing strategies to leverage on other people effort. Believe in yourself and you can do it. For the next few months, I will crack my head to come up with good marketing strategies to create stable money generating businesses and I will share some of them on my blog.

The report is really interesting as in it showed you how he used offline methods to really catapult his online business. It even has photos showing you the way he did it. The report opens up many possibilites which you can use in your marketing efforts. But it may not be applicable in affiliate marketing. I personally feel that you must have your own business first before you can truly utilize offline techniques to your advantage. I may be wrong. You can share your views here after reading the report.

Overall it’s a good read even if you are not interested in the $1. But you can earn a few bucks if you want by simply refering your friends to read it. Anyway, opportunities like this one comes in a blue moon. Well, you may earn a cool hundred bucks if you have a hundred friends to downoad the report. And I have just earned a few bucks just by getting my relatives to download it.
