Can anyone shed any light or does anyone have an official update? It would great to know what’s happening as I think the village is lost without a pub!

Fast forward to a few weeks ago we had a message left on our answerphone saying our connection was to be upgraded. I didn’t think it was possible but after restarting our router the other evening we are now connected at 1,120kbps (which is about 1.1Meg give or take)!

Great news! Those of you using BT in the village have no doubt had a similar upgrade.

If you want to check the speed of your broadband I would recommend the SpeedTest.net website.

Horse Show starts at 9.30am, the Fun Dog Show at 1.30pm

Location – Fords Farm, Ewelme, near Grundons Gravel

For a schedule call Sandra before 8pm on 01491 834 556, entries close Tuesday 2nd September, or late entries can be taken on the day, numbers permitting.

The Horse Show starts at 9.30am and The Dog Classes start at 1.30pm.

For details on the Fun Dog Classes call Val on 01235 530287, entries are on the day only from 12pm onwards.

There will be a refreshments available all day.

The Horse & Pony jumping classes include:- the Peter Pan for children 12 years and under, Novice Jumping with jumps not exceeding 2ft 3” in the 1st round, Intermediate – 2ft 9”, Veterans for riders over 30 years, an Open Class and Pairs.

Ring 2 classes include: – Coloured Horse or pony, ridden Cob, best condition in hand and Thelwell look-a-like

Ring 3 classes include:- Fancy dress, ridden Mountain & Moorland and Family pony

Ring 4 has clear round jumping, Minimus jumping and the ever popular Gymkhana

Ring 5 – Ten Class Fun Dog Exemption Show:- include the dog with the waggiest tail, slowest / quickest sit, best veteran over 8 years old, best 6 legs and best trick.

Every year we hope to achieve our main goal of having a truly fun day out for local children and their families, so please put Sunday 7th September in your diary.

The website is very much a work in progress but over the coming year I hope it will become a resource for information and an online community for us all.
