EWG Hoops Fundraiser

Our annual fundraiser is taking place Saturday February 11th at the Quonset “O” Club. This is our only fundraising event of the year, so we hope you can join us. The cost is $30.00 per person and includes dinner, music and a very funny comedian for our entertainment. From our previous fundraising efforts we have been able to not only help with the costs of running the league, but we have been able to upgrade and improve the school facilities. Over the past 4 years or so we have purchased and installed the adjustable height backboards at Metcalf, purchase and install the new scoreboards in the Sr High, purchased the Official Scorers Table for the Sr High as well as the “EWG logo’d” seating for the Jr High gym. We hope you can join us on the 11th……..we are also looking for donations for our silent and live auctions. Anything from gift baskets to gift cards, etc. If you have any questions, please Scott Horlbogen or Kelly Osberg. Please see the attached flyer and dinner reservation form. Thank you very much.

Boys Basketball Senior Night!

The WW-EWG Hockey Team is in the midst of a competitive season. Last weekend, the team lost 3-2 to East Providence, but prevailed 4-3 over Scituate. The next game is against Woonsocket on January 21, 9pm at West Warwick Ice Rink.

The fall sports season at EWG comes to a close on Thursday Nov. 24th when the Knights will host the Chariho Chargers for the Annual Turkey Day Bowl! The game begins at 10:00am. Come out and cheer on the team as they try to take the trophy back!

On Saturday the Volleyball team finished off their perfect season with a 3-2 win over Cumberland. The win gave the girls their second DII State title and a 19-0 record!

On Sunday the Girls Soccer team capped off their season with a 3-1 win over Lincoln to earn them another DII State title and a perfect 21-0 record! Alyssa Clements was named MVP.

CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!

The Boys Soccer team suffered their only loss of the season to Classical in the DIII final on Saturday. They finish the season with a 19-1 record. Brian McDonough, Mark Christofaro and JP Connolly were named to the All Tournament Team. Congratulations boys, on a great season!

Saturday also brought a redemption win for the football team. They beat Mt. Pleasant 36-34! Next up for the football team is the annual Thanksgiving game against Chariho.

Congratulations to all our fall teams on truly outstanding seasons!

On goals scored by Alyssa Georgio and Kara Shaw, the Girls Soccer team won their semi- final match 2-0 over Tiverton! The girls will defend their DII State title on Sunday at 2:00pm at RIC.

It took about 45 minutes for the Volleyball team to win their quarter final match 3-0 over Pilgrim on Monday night! The team heads to URI to play their Semi-Final match against West Warwick at Keaney gym on Wednesday Nov. 9th at 6:00pm. Come out and support the team!

It was a beautiful afternoon for a football win on Saturday. The Knights beat the Spartans of Scituate 42-19. Both AJ Huber and Dwight Anderson had an interception and scored 2 touchdowns! Jake LaPerche kicked 3 extra points! A great game played by the whole team!
They play next Saturday, Nov.12th at 1:30pm at Mt. Pleasant. Come out a cheer on the team!

is starting up again and your Exeter West Greenwich—West Warwick Knight-Wizards Co-op hockey team has to raise another $11,000.00 again this year in order to play hockey. Please see any player and buy a 10 dollar raffle ticket to help the team and for a chance to win your choices of an Apple I pad 2 or 3 Boston Bruin tickets. Tickets are also available in the high school office.
