If you ever visit Jinan, the capital city of Shandong province in China, don't forget to come by to Dalu Robot Restaurant. From the name, you must've guessed that there is some robot involvement in this place. Right, it's a restaurant where all the waiters and waitresses are replaced by robots!

Opened in December 2010, this place has robotic staff includes female receptionists/hosts, greeters, entertainers, and gold robot waiters (which remind us of C-3PO from Star Wars saga). The tables are arranged in a circular pattern, and the machines are bringing dishes to the table by using a bicycle on a track to move around the restaurant. The hotpot restaurant can currently serve about 300 customers at once at 21 different tables.

The restaurant, along with the robots, are created by Shandong Dalu Science and Technology Company, which has plan to expand to 40 machines in the future. The restaurant's owner, which also the president of the tech company, claiming that the robots are more efficient and less costly than human service staff (even if each robot is tagged with US$ 4,000 - US$ 15,000 price). Well, it's probably because the robot staff will never give you the cold shoulder, expect a tip, or ask their boss for a pay rise.
