couple of more things; The VU gives you an 8 day EPG [electronic program guide]. I know that some other boxes do as well. The "dream box" made in Germany is the most expensive and supposedly the best unit, but most of the ones you find online are fakes. If you decide to get one of those, go to www dream-multimedia-tv.de/en and choose an official retailer from their list. I got my "VU" online from a shop in the Netherlands; it was much cheaper than anything I found in the UK. If anyone wants to know, I'll write out more of my findings.

This forum has been a great help over the years. When we are looking for something in particular my husband will ask, "Have you checked the expat forum?" <img src="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /> It's the first step, even before Google! I was afraid of what kind of mess the chimney cleaning could make, so I had EVERYTHING covered with sheets in the living room, and the hob covered in the kitchen. But the cleaning crew arrived with their own drop cloth and a vacuum cleaner. The mess was quite minimal and they were thorough in cleaning up what little there was. We asked them for a receipt and they said they would post it to us. (I thought, hmm, it could beweeks before we get it!) But it arrived just three days after they did the cleaning. I am VERY impressed with this company and will call them again for the next routine cleaning. Thank you very much for sharing valuable information on good companies! Best wishes, Aninha

I second liveaboard http://www.deliveryportugal.co.uk/ we have used them 3 times in last 18 months, excellent prices and good service, delivered door to door no hassle.They also answer any query emails you send them promptly. If you email them they will give you a costing for your items and that will be the price you pay on delivery, no extra add ons, unless you want it storing at their Almancil warehouse for more than 14 days. Hello Ruth, I am not quite sure what you mean by "good birdwatching book"; are you looking for a bird identification guide (if so, the "Collins Bird Guide" is the best and most definitive concise book available - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Collins-Bird-Guide-Lars-Svensson/dp/0007268149/ref=sr_1_10?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1328301161&sr=1-10 ). Books describing whereto watch birds in Portugal are scarce and now mostly out of date. I will come back with more information if necessary. Hi guys, for differents reasons I reached 7K on my credit card in UK,which is even more than my credit limit. Now I am living in spain and due to lack of job I won't be able to pay back my debts specially thinking that more time will pass and worse it will get due to the interest. Can the bank trace me in spain?and if they do, what do i risk? please respond to my question as having always this in mind is affecting my life. Thanks
