Hi,

Question about integrating QAS into a system that is already using jQuery for other purposes, but running a completely different version of it. Is there a version of qas.js that can run in noConflict mode so that all QAS global jQuery calls are scoped to the QAS specific version of jQuery? Or is the solution to simply pull down the existing qas.js and re-write it ourselves so that it will play nicely with other included versions of jQuery on the page.

Same for the included version of jQueryUI, I suppose.

Hi ,

We have integrated the QAS tool with oracle Apps R12 system, and QAS service is up and running, but when the user clicks on the Find address button on his screen, the user is getting the page cannot be displayed. The requested URL ../xxqpw/xxqpw_start.jsp was not found,

Can you please help to fix the issue ?

Hi-has anyone else integrated QAS Pro UI with a PowerBuilder Application? I am trying to do that but my application keeps crashing. it will actually pop up the Interface and return an address but after the shutdown, a few clicks later and the whole thing crashes. Any ideas? Thank you! Stacey

How do others handle editing an existing address in your application with QAS Pro User Interface? I have heard that you can pass the address into the UI, how do you do that? and is that the way others are handling this issue? thanks! STacey

We have a process that "cleans" alot of addresses and it appears that there is no file size control over the qaelg.enc file. Once we process ~1B records the file is about 30GB. How can we fix this issue or is there a setting that allows for this file to be limited to growth?

HI, The QAS has two layouts for country USA. One standard layout and another Database layout (7 line fixed format). For few addresses the verification fails in Database layout, the returned verify level is 'InteractionRequired'. But the same in standard layout got verified. I don't know why? Can anyone suggest how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Hello Customer Forum, Experian QAS are looking to improve the QAS Electronic Updates platform in a release to be scheduled across the next 3-6 months. We already have quite a few ideas but the Product Management team would love to hear your thoughts on what we could do to make the product easier to set up initially as well as improving usability for monitoring ongoing updates. This is a curiosity to me: I can use the out of the box .NET units in a project. and do a call like so: SearchResult sResult = searchService.Search("NZL", searchString, PromptSet.Types.Default); Then I can loop through the sResult PickList by referencing the PickList.Length If sResult.PickList.Items[LoopNumber].IsFullAddress then I add it to a list of full addresses I was manually building. This all compiles fine. I can't run it because I dont have the right licenses setup on my development machine - that's an issue our main QAS person,who is on leave from work, can sort out when he returns. Oddly however: We have a service reference (ProWeb.map & ProWeb.CS) in our source configured by our main QAS person. If I try to use the calls out of this, because it's all nicely autogenerated, I get different properties. I can call ASearchResult searchResult = client.DoSearch(searchParam) but when I grab the search result I cannot do: searchResult.QAPickList.Items because it doesnt appear to actually have any items of any description. I don't seem to be able to loop through the pickList at all. It doesn't really phase me that I have to use the out of the box tools, but it would be nice to use the same methods that our absent QAS integrator used. Any idea what the difference could be? Amb

We are trying to run Quickaddress Pro (v5.01) on Windows 7. It won't SELECT using any of our layouts. I.W, he address will not be copied to the desired window. - Do we need an upgrade? - Or is there anything else we need to do to make it compatible?

We've gotten this question a lot over time. Here is our best answer for all those wondering: Originally, QAS stood for "Quick Address Systems" way back in the late 1990's. However, a little bit like 'IBM' which originally stood for 'International Business Machines,' no one really uses the original name anymore. Instead, we now use the names "QAS" or "Experian QAS" to refer to our products and company. Hope this helps!
