City Hall Clock Replacement

On Tuesday April 10, the Verdin Co. will be installing the internal components of the clock on the City Hall clock tower. This activity will not create any disruption of downtown vehicular or pedestrian traffic.

On Wednesday April 11, from approximately 0845 to 1045, the installation of the external clock hands will be done. This will necessitate the fire department’s ladder truck to be placed in front of City Hall, blocking traffic from either direction. This is the only means available to access three faces (west, east and south) faces of the clock.

Barricades will be placed at Cross Street and Main Street to divert traffic during this period. The company may be able to complete the project in less time but estimates two hours for the work. The ladder truck will then be moved onto St. Paul for the completion of the installation to the north face, allowing the Avenue to be re-opened as soon as possible.

Easter at the Doggy Bag
