Finally, Google has introduced Google+ social network as an answer to Facebook to take it down and to be the new king of social networks. Although Google have tried before with Buzz and Wave, however, both have failed to attract users to use them because of the limitation they got. Now, Google+ seems to be provide the ultimate social network experience we have been looking and waiting for.

Google+ offer several unique features that we always wished to be available in Facebook, such as group chat, video chat and categorizing your friends into groups so we can share different thoughts to each set of groups. Here is a quick tour of some of Google+ features.

+Circle

As our relationship differs from one person to another, it would be great if we can control what to share and who to share. We normally share stuff with our closed friends and colleagues, but how about your boss?. My Feedback

I was so pleased and inspired about the cloud technologies out there. The organizers have done a fantastic job, once you arrive, the staff will warm welcome you and guide you to the Kiosk machines or the reception desk where you have you ticket printed and put in a nice badge. Then, you can collect the Forum guide where you will find all details about exhibitors and the agenda of the sessions and talks presented by expert speakers such as Robert Whitesid (Head UK, Ireland and Benelux, Google Enterpis), Adrian Gerdner (CIO Nasa) and Alfredo Nulli (Head of Cloud Computing Marketing, Europe, Cisco).

5 Cool Features Facebook Should Introduce

With more than 700 millions users, our favorite social network is bringing us new features every often, we may like them, we may not. However, there are some cool feature we would love Facebook to introduce. Let's see if you agree with my suggestion.

Video Sorting

Unlike Photo Uploads, where you can sort your photos into albums, Video categorization option is not yet available in Facebook. All you can do is upload your videos and it will be all in one place, make it harder to browse or search especially if the number of videos you are searching in is huge. I would prefer Facebook to let us manage our videos and sort them into folders.

More Search Option and Filters

Facebook currently provide some search filters such as search in People, Pages and Events. Also it provide other search filter like Post By Everyone and Post By Friends, but none of them actually works efficiently with Videos and Photos. It is really hard to search on Media contents in Facebook, so it would be very nice to have a specific search filter for them in the future. Another down side of Facebook search that you cannot search on posts feed. So if you want to search for specific post you came cross on a Fanpage for instance, you will have to go post-by-post to find it, wasting your valuable time. Facebook should really have such a search feature.

More Capablities in Facebook Chat

As all people around the world use Facebook as means of communication to their friends or families, it would be nice for Facebook to add Voice and Video chat capabilities to its existing Chat feature. Additionally, if Facebook launched such a service, it should be able to support group chat so we can communicate with our mutual friends from one place.

All-In-One Reader

I use Google Reader to check my RSS feeds, but I would really like to have my RSS feeds read from my Facebook News Feed or vice versa (Read my Facebook News Feed from Google Reader).

All-In-One Email/Messaging Solution

Wouldn't be cool to check your emails , LinkedIn and Twitter messages from Facebook. Facebook should integrate its services with Email service providers such as Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail to make easy for us to check all our emails from one place.

StoreGate services are very impressive specially the upload speed and large file support. One of the most attractive feature StoreGate provide is the ability to backup your mobile contacts and calender.

ADrive

ADrive is the most generous cloud provider yet, it gives you hefty 50 GB for FREE !!. It also support directory upload, FTP transfer and sharing option for your files.

The only downside of ADrive is the incient interface, it does not look like a modern service, however, the compelling service may attract you to give it a try.

SugarSync

One of the best ever. SugarSync offer 5GB free online space with beautiful website interface and desktop client workable on Windows and MAC. ESET Mobile Security for Android Beta is Now Available

It seems that the Android's security flaw which has been discovered last week, motivated security companies to launch their mobile security software to the leading Smartphone OS platform.

Gartner (Technology research leader) stated in their recent study "Android became the most popular Smartphone operating system worldwide in the first quarter of 2011". Surprisingly, Android's market share has dramatically grown in one year from 9.6 percent to 36 percent.

It looks like there is a sturdy battle between mobile browsers developers nowadays, just after recent updates announcement from Dolphin Browser and Skyfire Browser developers, now it is Mozilla time to introduce their Firefox 5.0 beta for Android.

Earlier version of Firefox was so poor, bloated, extremely slow in addition to the huge file size. Subsequently it did not attract many users, however, this new update tend to fix all mentioned problem.

The beta Firefox 5.0 is available in Android Market as a stand-alone app, so if you install it, it will not affect or jeopardize the main Firefox 4.0 (if you have it already installed) to enable users to test it and even make comparison between the two version simultaneously.

What's New?

Firefox 5.0 Beta has got speed improvement specially on start-up as well as page load, smooth tabbing and the support of CSS3 animation.

Actually, what I like most in Skyfire, is the ability to play Flash videos, it is in fact a vital advantaged over all comptitors such as Dolphin Browser and Firefox for those who run Android 2.1 and earlier. Also, there is another cool feature; it is the user switching button at the top bar which enable users to switch between desktop version and mobile version providing a magical flexibility and optimized surfing experience.

Dolphin browser is one the best browsers in Android Market. Generally, it has replaced the built-in Android browser as the majority of Android users are using it. Dolphin fans who are waiting for the next update, it is now available on public for download. The new version come with new features such as the new interface (which looks like Chrome Browser), brand new design of Bookmark side bar with the support of folders and of course fix bugs accrued in beta 1. This version tend to be more stable, fast and more user-friendly.

Dolphin 5 BETA is not available yet in Android Market, however, you can download it from here or from the QR below, save it to your SD card, locate it using any file explorer and install it to enjoy.

Although I love Dolphin Browser, but I still prefer SkyFire because of its support of Flash, which is unique feature and no other browsers support this important plug-in.

Gtalk and AIM Integration is Now "unofficially" Live.

Google and Aol seems to silently rolling out their integration for Gtalk and AIM. It has not been officially announced, however, if you check your Gmail chat or AIM chat, you will notice that you can add your contacts from either services to the other. The the integration have started just after the announcement a while ago, yet at some points it did not work. Now, we can gain access to this service, making life easier for us to stay better connected as you can chat to all your contacts without having to sign in and out.

Andriod Phones Leaks Your Personal Data

A big shock has raised today to all Android users regarding security flaw. The shock is that Android OS s are vulnerable to hackers who can steal personal information stored in Calenders, Contact and personal photos stored in Picasa.

University of Ulm, reported in their research that 99.7% of Android users can be targeted from potential attackers when they use token authntication (authTokens), which most of users use (including myself) to removes the need to enter user's crendential everytime they access services provided by Android OS.

The research showed that only the latest Gingerbird 2.3.3 and Honeycomb 3.0 versions are fully protected, the older versions which the majority of us use are vulnerable to be exposed.

If a phone were connected to an un-secured Wi-Fi network, a hacker can steal the token and gain full access to Calender, Contact and perdsonal photos on Picasa. Full access means they can add, modify and delete user's files.

Google has quickly reacted and started rolling out a fix to address this security flaw, but don't worry, the fix will be server-side and no action will be required from users to update their devices. The fix is just for Calender and Contacts, Picasa problem will be addresses the next few days.

Here's the Google's statement :

"Today we’re starting to roll out a fix which addresses a potential security flaw that could, under certain circumstances, allow a third party access to data available in calendar and contacts. This fix requires no action from users and will roll out globally over the next few days."

Last but not least, we, as Android users never wanted a flaw like this to happen, however, the speedy respond from Google is highly appreciated.
