It is a pond where overflown fresh water from Paanchdhara is collected. Fresh water of kunda is flow from 5 taps located inside the temple and the water is collected in a small pond. Then the overflown water is collected at the down side of the road which is famously known as Lamkunda. The view is more attractive with the fresh water pond and small temples at the side of the pond. Famous Godavari picnic spot just lies above lamkunda.

Lamkunda Godavari

Locals are working on rebuilding it and reconstructing it.
Among different replicas of Muktinath temple all around
Nepal, one of the most famous is located at Godavari, Lalitpur. Muktinath
Lalitpur, famously known as Mini Muktinath is located at Dhungashaghu, Godavari.
Initiation from the locals changed a small temple at a bank of a river into a
famous temple with 108 continuous flowing taps (108 dhara) and now famous as
Mini Muktinath. A temple with statue of Muktinath, 108 dhara, statue of
mahadev, other deities alongside, a room from Bhajan, picnic spot, manmade old stone
saghu and the location itself are some of the major attractions. People who
want to go to Mustang and are not able to, find this place as an alternative
and come visit here. The popularity of this place is increasing day by day. Locals
are working on management, for more improvements. They also are working on good
picnic spots.

Sano Muktinath Lalitpur

this temple. One of the easiest way is to take a bus from Lagankhel or
Sathdobato heading towards Damaitar, Godamchour. Get down at Karki chowk which
is next stop, 300 m away from famous old Damaitar VDC office (Gabisha Bhawan)
or Damaitar Lower secondary school. Take a left offroad from Karki Chowk and
walk for 5 minutes and at a bank of a small river you’ll see the temple with
108 Dhara. If in case you miss a bus to Damaitar, or could not find the bus,
take any local bus or van going to Godavari and get down at Thaiba. Then take a
left road heading towards Damaitar, walk for 30 to 40 mins will take you to the
temple. River, fields, steep roads, beautiful village can be some attractions
on the way. You may also visit the temple from Badegaun or Godamchour. Also some
may prefer the way from Lubhu according to their location.

Taps at Sano Muktinath

Huge Buddha Statue at Shanti Ban

Shanti ban is a peaceful place with a huge statue of Lord Buddha in meditating position. Shanti ban has been a main
attraction to local as well as foreign travelers since a large statue of Lord
Buddha was built here on 2002 AD. The statue stands 25 feet tall. The golden
painted statue is visible from the Godavari highway on your right heading
towards Godavari as soon as we cross Kitini.

A peaceful environment at a lap of a forest, through a
village with beautiful scenery of Kathmandu valley in front of your eyes has
been a main attraction. The 25 feet tall Buddha statue itself is an attraction.
The view of villages of Godavari, green fields, hills, trees, forests and then
urbanized Kathmandu is awesome. The steep stairs going uphill to reach the

has the untouched beauty of the nature that is quite difficult to find in the
hectic and busy areas of Kathmandu. It is only 8 kilometers away from the city.
To go to this temple you can easily get a bus from Sathdobato to chapagaun. You
can find a bus direct to the temple or you have to take a walk for some minute
from the main road of chapagaun to the left to get to the temple. You can visit
here for religious purpose as well as to have fun with your family and friends.
If you are looking for a peaceful place near to human habitation, this might be
the right place.

Bishankhu Narayan is one of the four Narayans located at each corner of
Kathmandu valley. Narayan is another name to Lord Bishnu. It is said that this
temple was built by Haridutta Varma around 43 - 143 AD.According to legend, the
hillock near the temple was formed when Lord Vishnu destroyed the demon
Bhasmasura, who, having attained from Lord Shiva the power to turn anybody he
touched into ashes, had tried to test the power upon the deity himself. Lord
Vishnu quite skilfully convinced the demon to test the power upon himself and
thus turned him into a mound of ashes

Panch Dhara is quiet and peaceful almost all the days despite Saturdays since a lot of people visit Godavari on Saturdays for picnic or hangouts. Many people visit here just to touch the water since it is believed to be pure. Some even take the water with them.

Despite being surrounded by a beauty, Panch dhara is famous for the mela that is held every 12 Years. Once in a 12 years there is a huge mela at Panch dhara and it is believed that if you bath from the water flowing from any of the 5 taps, all your sins are excused.
To go to Panch dhara, you can take a bus from Lagankhel or Sathdobato heading towards Godavari. After you reach Godavari bus park, you then take a road heading straight to East. Also famous botanical garden is at this direction. You pass walls of Botanical garden and some restaurants at the end and a Buddist monastery to finally reach to Panch Dhara. I am sure the walk from bus park to Panch dhara is certainly beautiful and enjoyable.

Fresh Water from 5 Taps

Shree Swosthani at Santaneshwor

This beautiful statue of Shree swosthani mata is located at a beautiful view point of Santaneshwor Mahadev temple. Normally we find temples and monasteries at the top of almost every hills of Nepal. This temple too is located at a beautiful landscape, at the top of a hill of Lalitpur. A little plain area, a small temple with Shrine of Lord Shiva, trisuls and ghanta is not just what Kaleshwor temple is all about. Many people come here to worship Lord Shiva. It is believed that you can even win over your death. But the thing that attract most of the people who visit here is the beautiful view from the top.

Kaleshwor Mahadev temple is located at the top of the hill at southern part of Lalitpur. To reach kaleshwor temple you have to goto Lele from sathdobato, then to Nallu, Bhardeu, katban and finally to Gotikhel. You pass through villages, dense forests, rivers and finally some off roads to reach sano gotikhel. You can easily get a vehicle from Sathdobato or you can go to Chapagaun and get a vehicle. After some minutes walk in the jungle from Sano Gotikhel to the top, with other tall hills by your side, you finally reach kaleshwor temple, a beautiful place. Kaleshwor Mahadev temple is one of the best places for hiking.

You can find some houses at the bottom of the hills but there is no human civilization at the top. You hardly will find anyone on the way once you pass through the last house at the bottom of the hill. Then there is dense forest, some wild animals, some birds and insects. You may find some one on the way if you are lucky, some one who have come for a hike or to worship Lord Shiva. This place is crowded at the time of Jatra at Chapagaun. All most all people celebrating Jatra come here to worship at that day.

Steep trials through a silent and lone forest might look difficult and dangerous but the view from the top will assure that the difficulties to reach here was worth it. I have captured a video from the top. Please have a look.
