The weight loss real deal

I am the world’s worst blogger. Being a clinical counselor I’m require to spend most of my day in session and all I do is document. When I come home and rest and on my day off I don’t want to see the computer screen let alone wright a post. Did my amazing justification pardon my absence?

Life has changed so much for me this year so many amazing things have come to pass. I think the biggest one has me continuing to learn about my weight loss journey. Let’s see since my last post I was at 208 well I am an amazing 225 . I say this because life happened and so does muscle. I retired weight watchers because all I knew was Points Plus and that isn’t really learning about nutrition as a whole. I went on to My fitness pal i was also at a plateau and I wanted to switch it up. I focused on Macros and learning how to maintain my weight I continued to stay active I work out 5 days a week. I still very much weight lift and bust my ass with Cardio. Although a learning process I can say all my gain wasn’t just muscle, vacations and life happen and I’m really okay with it. I’m still the same size I was in January 12/14 and I weight more. I’ve also learned an extremely important lessons. The scale has no power over my emotions unless I give it power. That took a lot of inner self work. I’m glad I went through the ups and downs of my journey in the last 10 months. I’ve learned nutrition, self-love and body image love because it boils down to how you feel on the inside and what demons you are facing you can get to goal weight but if you are facing issues inwards you will never be satisfied and when you look in the mirror you won’t feel good. I’ve also learned to trust the process you see I left weight watchers just because I wasn’t getting the results fast enough I thought for sure it wasn’t working for me anymore , (DUH) I was gaining muscle is what was the problem never the less I had to learn what I had to learn and I’m thankful for it nothing is every by chance.

So moving forward what’s my plan of attack well my goal is to lose 35 more pounds and maintain my weight so I have once again started back on weight watchers and I am down 3.5 pound BOOM !!

Weight Loss update for Janaury 2015

Hey, Guys.

It’s been a few months since my last weight loss update. H Well Im here to tell you it’s stronger than ever I have hit losing a total of 68 pounds in 1 year. The holidays where such a struggle actually since November 3^rd my birthday weekend to Vegas is where it all started. Did I gain yes I gained 4 pound from November till New Year’s Eve. I did however take no break at the gym I ate and worked my ass off. I gained from eating all the sweets (To many brownies).

What where some of the highlights of last year for me.

I have gained so much endurance. I have gained muscle. I discovered my passion for strength training and Weight training. I get an amazing adrenaline when I feel my muscle sore and burn from the workouts. It’s even more amazing to see my muscles form and to feel them.I workout 4- 5 times a week. I am so dedicated and really have falling in love with the gym. I have tried new machines and workouts that I never thought I would engage in. I walk in the gym with more confidence than I ever had.No more walking with my head down. My clothing size is so much easier to shop for and so much cheaper (wohoo) I went from a Size 24 to now a XL which is a size 14 I do fit in some L depeding on fabric . That is another (Victory)

The biggest highlight is to wrap my brain around not letting the scale have so much power on how I feel about myself. I had to learn this when I started to build muscle , because muscle weight less than fat and as you started to turn fat into muscle you start to look smaller rather than have that number reflect the scale. That was so true and remains so true in my case. I have noticed me looking smaller but the scale not budging much.

Overall I have really come a long way in my first year. Now it’s on to another great year. This year I will be participating in my first Spartan sprint race in September I am extremely excited about it. I will continue to update you on my journey.

Weight loss update 60 pounds Down

My Update, I now weigh in at 209, I currently am on 32 weight watchers points, My activity(Gym) has increased to a minimum of 1 hour max 1 hour and a half I have started to do more weight machines that focus on Legs, Arms , I run more than walk on the treadmill and have up my speed to A 6.0 I don’t incline when I run I leave it at a 0 my endurance has really kicked off and I have started to use a Pre-work out that I love by the way.

I feel amazing, and I am extremely addicted to the results. I thought I would never be one of those people that love the gym but I absolutely LOVE IT! I can’t believe that last year this time I was struggling with self and this year I’m such a different girl. This journey is extremely rewarding I’m not going to lie it can and will challenge you to no end but if you want it bad enough, you will push through. I not only I’m gaining my health , I have gained a extreme amount of Discipline, dedication and there is such a power in me I never knew I possessed, You really find out about your character when you push yourself, when you push those beliefs , and when you just keep moving forward NO MATTER WHAT !

60 pounds loss so far. Once I hit my goal weight or get close my goal is to tone and push myself to get cut, I want those sexy abs, and lean legs I'm going all the way because it just feels right and I want to again challenge my self to be the best I can be .

Weight Loss Update : Activity

Right Side 2010 I was at my heaviest 286. Left side is me today.

So I wanted to update my progress so far.

I currently weight 222.2. a few things have changed I have started to try out another machine at the gym which now has made me build up more momentum .

My work out routine for right now is

20 treadmill walk 3.4 and jog 5.2 ( Cool Down) 5 minutes

I then go on the elliptical for 15 minutes (Cool Down) 5 minutes

Bike for 10 minutes

On My leg and arm day I do the above routine but include these to it.

I do legs on of the machines 5 sets of 10 (2-3 Sets)

And I do arms on machine 5 sets of 10(2-3 Sets)

I am still at working out 3x a week it’s really all I can do now with my busy schedule.

Monday, Wednesday and Saturday are the days I workout. On Wednesday is when I do my leg exercises and my arm exercises.

For me this works and as I continue my journey I will embark on new things to-do.

For me personally I think it’s extremely important to get familiar with the machines you use and get comfortable using them especially if the gym is new stopping grounds for you.

I know you can walk in the gym and feel overwhelmed remember take it easy and don't be so hard on yourself. Small baby steps eventually add up to big changes

Food

I am at 34 weight watcher points and again its all portion control I eat tons of veggies and fruit.

When I go through old photos it brings tears to my eyes, because I felt imprisoned to my body, I had the worst self esteem every. The saying “Your outer reflect your inner”

For me personally that was such a true sentiment in my life.

If you have read some of my other WL updates. I have said this from the start. For my journey I really had to deal with my INNER SELF before I even attempted to work on the outer.

What really helped me? Gods healing power, his strength and a 9 month life coaching class that helped me break free from the mental strongholds in my life.

What I mean about god's healing power, its gods will that you live in victory its his will that you don't live IN bondage and its his will to restore you. Sometimes our own "will" and the many strongholds ( Faulty Mental beliefs ) keep us from his will, keeps us from our full potential. That faulty belief system keeps us in our own bondage and in order to come out of it we have to break it.

(This was my Tool , I am not persuading anybody to my beliefs I'm merely sharing with you "MY Journey" and ultimately you have to do what works for yours.)

It’s that time again. Dress of the week. This week’s dress is from ModCloth. Yes I know I have an obsession with that site, and after that awesome 50% sale I have tons of cuteness to share.

This Dress is the I Can Zig it Dress. I went with my gut and went for a size 2x which fit perfectly. Right now I am a 43 -41- 46. I have absolutely no cons about this dress. It is every thing I wanted it to be. I stand 5’6 so the length hit me just above my knees. I wore this to work so I wore it with a blazer to give it an office look. I think I pulled it of well. I love that I can bring my own style to the work place. I am defiantly not fit for a uniform job it would bore me to pieces.

Summer has finally arrived. Well it’s been a few weeks, however I think it’s just sinking in and the hot sunny California weather has sure awoken up my spirits.

Chevron Prints Obsessed and weight loss update

Hey Guys!

Thank you again for stopping by and taking the time out to catch up with me. So let’s get the Weight Loss Update out of the way. Things are going good since last update I am down 36 pounds I have been averaging 1 pound a week. This is fine by me I would rather have the weight come off slow and steady than rapid. I continue with my gym routine and have to admit, its been challenging dragging my butt there the last 2 weeks due to me being under a high volume of stress at work due to us being short staffed and my grandmother’s constant Drs appointments. She is having cataract surgery soon, has made me not want to even step foot in a gym. The last thing I want at the end of the day is my bed. Never the less I have been going twice a week not 3 times but I am back on it. I look at it like this I am going and it could be worst me not going at all. My June goal is to get rid of my Excuse Bag. We all have one and they can hinder us if we allow them to dominate us. So things are good and I’m good.

Now on to my outfit nothing fancy I am trying to really wear things in my closet as much as I can. Things are already not fitting me. I am a size 16/18 right now I was a 22. However I do have something’s that I can pull off and some stuff that is just down right huge. I am finding all kinds of things tucked away in my closet that I had forgotten about like this adorable Chevron dress. Don’t you just love to shop in your closet and re- discover stuff that you forgot you had. That is so me right now and I am loving it.

Hey! I am extremely excited to share today’s ModCloth Uniquely You Style Challenge post. Being a huge fan of ModCloth I was truly ecstatic when asked to participate in this weeks style challenge. Along with several other bloggers we were contacted to create a style board via Polyvore to participate in this weeks challenge creating a look around the Vivacious and Vibrant Dress in Noir. that comes in various sizes all the way up to a size 4x. I am a sucker for a neutral dress that can be played up in so many ways and that is what this dress screams. Being that I spend most of my time at work and have a demanding job I wanted to promote the office professional , who like's to take their own style to work. I work in a Semi Business Casual work environment so I have room to play up my outfits and bring MY Pizzazz with me . Also being that I love dresses, I spend a lot of time looking and shopping for cute- fun work dresses. I am obsessed with how a dress makes me feel and how feminine I feel with them on.

Weight- Loss Update

Well, since my last post my WLJ (weight-loss journey ) has been gong very well. I have to keep reminding my self it is a lifestyle and not a race to some finish line. I am Down 32 pounds with a lot more to go, but I'm well on my way. It does feel good to have more energy, look better and fit better into clothing. I have my ups downs and all around but hello that what life is all about. I am more accountable for my behaviors .

I have been wanting to loose weight for a long time now; I just never did anything about it and found every excuse in the book to not pursue it. I really had to deal with matters of the heart and soul before I attempted to start working on the outer part of my self . It really is about working on "Self" if you ignore that part your in for a disaster. What I mean is you will still look at your self based on how you feel about your self or how you have felt . After the soul searching I needed to find a plain that worked for me. I did not want to feel restricted and I did not want to be on some fad diet.

Starting my journey I researched plains and found WW( Weight Watchers) I studied their system read story's did tons of research . I began WW January of this year and set small goals for the first 30 days on the plain I just studied my eating patterns this allowed me to make small changes . Biggest change was to cut out my late night refrigerator eating. Instead of making a sandwhich at 11 at night I would have a piece of fruit eventually I cut out the fruit and now do not dare to late night snack . I have a snack after dinner before bed but don't wake up anymore and help myself to whatever my heart desire.

I drink tons and I mean tons of water. I hated drinking water before but, to get myself use to consuming large quantity of water a day. My go to product is awesome water enhancers like crystal light, mio . This makes water drinking easier. I meal prep and do not deprive myself of treats I am a choclate lover and I do like to enjoy a cupcake now and then. Thanks to weekly points that make that happen. I also have 1 and I mean 1 cheat meal not a cheat day just a meal ..

And for the working out part at this point in my journey I do 3 times a week for 30 minutes. I have been increasing my gym time by 10 minutes usually my routine is now 20 minutes of the treadmill and about 20 minutes on the bike ...

I will keep updating as I continue to move Along on my journey !

Update and weight loss

Well as the new year has kicked off lots of changes have happen in my life. The best change is to focus on feeling better about my self . Was I happy with my weight I would be lying if I said I was at a complete acceptance because I wasn't. I couldn't stand to lie to myself and make up excuses for how unhappy I felt in my life so with lots of soul searching and getting down to the root of my issues with self; I joined weight watchers . On January 1st I signed up. But way before I joined i had spent about 2- 3 months just researching the plan and studying food and the points system . Well since signing up I am down almost 25 pounds !! YAY me ! As you can see from the above picture you can see such a improvement in my face . My clothes fit better and I feel better I still have a long ways to go however I have a goal of getting down to a size large ! I am well on my way and Have my goal weight Dress in eye sight

Isn't she lovely well I thinks so .. she come from the Simons website and I have a list going on of all the cute dresses I am saving up for . You know what the more exciting part about weight loss is that I can explore stores and websites I was unable to shop at being a size 24. Clothing is much cheaper as well and let me tell you , I loved dresses as a plus size and I know when i get this weight off dresses will still be my go to staple. I will keep updating my blog with my Weight loss progress ..

Warming up your Maxi Dresses for the Fall

I know , I know I haven’t been posting !!! I’ll get back on track, I swear!

Even though fall is just around the corner , i’m still not ready to part with my maxi dresses. Luckily, it’s still easyto warm up , so here are some ideas I have for keeping yourfave maxi dress in the cooler months.

Warming Up Maxi Dresses

I went for a little western vibe with some slouchy cowboy Boots from Zappos and a vintage calvin klein jacket from Etsy . This Etsy shop is great if you love the idea ofthrifting but haven’t gotten the hang of it yet! The sunglasses are from modaoperandi and the bag is from Mulberry (swoon!).

This next option is a little more rock chic – leather jackets and beanies are always a must for chilly fall nights. Thekenzo boots are from Jades24.com . A necessity for windy days (and bad hair days!) is this beanie is from Mango. The dress is called the Runway Maxi and it’s from Roamans.com. The pattern on it is kinda loud , so keep going with the monochromatic look with a jacket from Nelly.com a cute handbag. This one is the Classic Q Francesca from Nordstrom. super cold nights aren’t something I need to worry about , but if they’re a problem , no one needs to know if youre wearing some leggings.

New year has really been filled with blessings

It's almost march wow!!!!
Seems like we were just in january . None the less I had to come on and share how great my new year has kicked off ! I'm happy in my job just bought a new car feel like I'm learning more about myself and lots of self improvement as far as personal growth I'm just in a wonderful place. I've join the iPad world which makes blogging a whole lot more fun and convenient . Blogging is my happy place and I let myself disconnect from it. In fact I let myself disconnect from lots of things one of the many things I am working on in my life. Letting the fears go taking out the garbage and replacing it with risk taking and building interpersonal connections. I have some what of a anti social thinking were letting people in my life has been a struggle . I'm hoping to change that :)

Time to bring out the winter coats !

Winter officially arrives next week the 21st I'm sure for some of you and I know it already seems like it. Here in California you are already feeling the crisp cold weather. I know when I wake up in the early morning to leave for work the bitter coldness pierces my nose with coldness and I can feel my cheeks tingle its time to get out the cute scarfs and gloves .. Its also time for cute winter jackets ! I have complied a collage of some of my top winter picks based on my own personal style .... I looked at my closet the other day and was not very pleased with the old winter jackets I currently have I think its time to maybe add 1 or 2 to my wardrobe and spice things up this winter and the coats down below are defiantly making the cut now the the real question is which 2 to get I always have this problem I wish I had a unlimited back account were I could have my hearts desire .. Hey!! Guys I just love Torrids Haute Cash time ! It gives me a chance to shop new arrivals and save lots of $$ I usually wait till stuff goes on clearance but when sales go on Im on it !!!!!!! I was able to pick up sooo many new goodies . I dont even have room anymore to keep all my clothes but that will never stop me from buying! =] So I wanted to share my OOTD all TORRID ! My outfit of the night (Sounds so exotic ) comes from the very talented Designer over at KSY PLUS I am wearing her Ballon Dress In Black 3x I have to say she really makes some amazing stuff and her ability to make the dress to fit my body ( Our Body's ) is just amazing ! Just some advise make sure you wear a regular bra with no padding or push up if your large breasted, because it will push those guys in and make them kind look awkwardly flat. This is only because of the type of material (cotton blended polyester). I had to change bra's for this dress and ended up using a regular cotton Playtex bra from Jcpennys Im really so pleased with this dress and I do recommend checking out her one of a kind piece she has on her website they are so different and chic .

I added my own twist to the dress by adding a Leopard thin belt from ASOS , chunky gold necklace from F21 and some Steve Madden wedges !

I first and foremost want to say I have not dressed up for Halloween in a few year. My Halloween ritual is just go to HHN which is Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood at universal studios. That is I haven't been to a Halloween party not because I haven't been invited I just haven't went for what ever what reasons but this year hell im going and Im dressing up !!!! and I know some people are on the fence with sexy Halloween costumes but to me its like get over it ! not everything has to be blood and guts its one day were people could be what ever the hell they want !! so who I'm I TADAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!! This work for Halloween not to mention Oktoberfest !now were is my beer ! ! The nae of the costume is called the Fetching Fraulein I got her in a size 3x she fits perfect !

Birth control update !

Hey guys !,

Well its been 1 month with the IUD copper T and I have to say I like it, so far so good. The only thing I have to say is that, I am not a happy camper about is the cramps I get mind you I never ever had a problem with cramps, now I do and boy oh boy =[ I ran to CVS to pick me up the biggest bottle of Midol. Another thing is the heavy flow I have. I know these things are to be expected (geez) I miss the days were I only had a 4 day period and it was not even that heavy this last period was heavy and lasted 6 days reminded me when I was in my teens I had it for 7 days.. oh well you take the good with the bad and I have to say I would much rather have these side effects than the ones I had with the Nuvi Ring . I have no anxiety and no depression and that in itself is just wonderful. Life seems to be as normal as its gonna get ! and well I feel great about my decision lets hope my 90 day update is just as good as this 30 day one...

I'm falling in love with all the fall fashion I have been seeing every wear I have ti say I am obsessed with the "Peplum " Trend but it kinda sucks I dont see a lot of it. Never the less I must OWN ! a peplum leather jacket like the one below in the picture my inspiration to hunt one down and fast !!!!!!! I have collaborated a little collage of what is on my wish list and what I am excited to add to my wardrobe for the fall!!!!! drooling that I now I will have to save up my $ to own some of these pieces but I am determine to gets them.
