MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation Review / Reseña

✐ Hi everyone! Let's talk a bit about the new MAC Mineralize Moisture Foundation. I have been using it for about 3 months, and here is the information, benefits and my experience with this new foundation formula.

Description and Benefits:

Liquid light feeling foundation with an SPF15
It's finish is natural-satin
It hydrates the skin immediately and throughout the day
It reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
It's a long wearing foundation up to 8 hours
It contains Shea butter, vitamin E and minerals.

My Experience:

The shade NC42 matched my skin pretty well; it's not too yellow or pink.
In cold weather this foundation stays on my combination skin for about 6 hours, this after using face powder to seal it.
In Florida's hot and humid weather, the product does not do as well. My skin did not absorb it and the foundation separated and moved. I assumed this is the result of mixed oils from my skin and the product.

In conclusion, this MAC foundation is really pretty and beneficial for dry or mature skin. Normal skin could also use it, with a powder on top. For combination skin, I will only recommend it on colder climates with low humidity and people with oily skin should definitely avoid this mineralized foundation.

✐ Hola chicas, hace poco les hable en un video que tenía la nueva base de MAC llamada Mineralize Moisture Foundation, y muchas me pidieron que hiciera una reseña.

Descripción y Beneficios:

Base liquida ligera con protección solar SPF 15
Tiene un acabado satinado natural
Hidrata la piel en el momento que te la colocas al igual que el resto del día
Reduce la apariencia de líneas y arrugas.
Es de larga duración (hasta 8 horas)
Contiene manteca de Karite, vitamina E y minerales.

Mi experiencia:

El tono NC42 es perfecto para mi piel, y no se ve ni muy amarillo ni muy rosado
Cuando el clima esta frio, la base se mantiene en mi piel mixta por aproximadamente 6 horas. Esto después que ha sido sellada con polvo.
En el clima caliente y húmedo, esta base no se absorbe en mi piel y se separa. Asumo que es por la mezcla de aceites de la formula y los que hay en mi piel.

En conclusión, esto es una base súper linda y beneficiosa para pieles secas y maduras. Pieles normales a mixtas la pueden usar, pero solo en climas fríos y bajos en humedad. No la recomiendo para personas con pieles grasosas.

I have to say this is the perfect combination to really get a felling of how their products work. Here is how each one of them worked for me:

MaMi Revialize Cleanser: This clear gel cleanser is enriched with a combination of Rose Hip Seed, Seaweed and Essential Oils. I found that it removed my makeup really well and did not leave my skin dry at all. It also has a light very pleasant smell!

Un limpiador de gel transparente, enriquecido con Rosa Mosqueta, Alga Marinas y Aceites Esenciales. Funciono muy bien al remover el maquillaje en mi piel, sin dejar la piel reseca. Si usas mucho maquillaje recomiendo enjuagar dos veces. También tiene un olor sumamente suave y agradable.

MaMi Satiated Moisturizer: A very lightweight moisturizer, free of fragrances. This lotion contains Hyaluronic acid, an element capable of attracting 1000 times it's weight of hydration to the skin. I mostly used it at night because it does not contain sunscreen. And the results in the morning was a skin that felt pretty smooth and quite balanced, meaning that it didn't feel too dry or oily.

Un hidratante ligero y sin fragancias. Este hidratante contiene ácido hialurónico como su ingrediente activo, un elemento que atrae más de 1000 veces su peso en hidratación a la piel. Yo lo utilice solo en las noches por su falta de protector solar; y el resultado por las mañanas fue una piel balanceada sin muchos brillos ni resequedades.

MaMi Nightshift Eye Serum: If you read the description on the website, this little one promises a lot! "A miraculous answer to tired, puffy eyes and dark circles" In my case I don't really have this symptoms, at least not yet (pre-baby) so I wasn't able to tell a difference. But when it comes to the product it's like any other serum: very liquidy and you really only need a tiny bit to cover both eyes. One thing I did notice is that the skin under my skin felt tight a little while after applying. I'm guessing that mean that it got absorb and it was working.

En si el producto es un suero líquido en el que necesitas solo una gota para cubrir los dos ojos. También note que después de utilizarlo la piel en esa área se sentía un poco tensa y firme. Me imagino que esto significa que realmente se absorbió y estaba funcionado.

MaMi Radiant Exfoliator: I love chemical exfoliants and this Glycolic Acid one is definitely an awesome one! It's diluted to the perfect formula to exfoliate and stimulate your skin cells without causing any burning. You can use it every two to three days and I feel like it's the product that will make the most difference and improvement compared to the rest of the set. I am being truly honest, this product I recommend 100%!

Pregnancy Fashion: Spring Flowers

✐ Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've shown you any Fashion Posts; actually the last one was this one right here. But today is a little different from my usual fashion as I'll be showing you my new Maternity Clothes purchase!

Actually, I have to say that I've been able to manage with only a few maternity pieces here and there without having to buy a new wardrobe. My everyday outfits mostly consist of leggings and long shirts. But at six months pregnant, this belly is getting a little too big, my dresses a little too short and the cleveage a little too low! So I finally decided to take a trip to the maternity section of Old Navy and check out the beauty I found! A bold Spring dress perfect for Summer here in Florida, also bra friendly and very comfortable. I couldn't be happier J

✐ ¡Hola a todos! Ya tengo tiempo que no les vengo con un post de moda aquí en el blog, por si no recuerdan el último que les mostré fue este aquí. Para hoy algo un poco diferente, ya que les traigo mi nueva adquisición de ropa de embarazo!

Realmente debo decir que todo este tiempo no he tenido necesita de comprar mucha ropa de maternidad, la mayoría de mis looks consisten en leggings y camisas largas. Pero ya al tamaño que va esta barriga de seis meses, los vestiditos que tengo se están volviendo muy cortos y los escotes muy bajos. Así que por fin me di un viajecito a Old Navy y su zona de maternidad y miren la belleza que encontré! Un vestido con estampado grande floral, perfecto para el verano de la Florida. Al igual lo puedes usar con tu sostén, y es muy cómodo y fresco. Más feliz no puedo estar J

My first Pregnancy! * Mi primer embarazo!

✐ Hi everyone! I can't believe I haven't actually announced my pregnancy on my blog! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook then you might be up to date. But if don't let me officially tell you that I'm 27 weeks pregnant, expecting a little boy!

This is my first pregnancy and as far as I'm concern it has been going great, some aches here and there but good for the most part. The beginning was a bit rough adjusting, but as the time progressed I learned to appreciate all the amazing changes of my body and my growing baby/belly.

Today I wanted to share with you the photos I had taken so far of my progress as well as a gorgeous art work my sister Zulay from World Henna made on my belly!

✐ ¡Hola a todos! No puedo creer que todavía no había Oficialmente anunciado mi embarazo aquí en el blog. Sé que las que me siguen en YouTube o Instagram ya se habrán enterado hace tiempo; pero para las que no sabían, ya estoy en 27 semanas y voy a tener un varoncito!

Este es mi primer embarazo y ha sido realmente maravilloso. Al principio tuve mis molestias, pero al pasar de los meses he aprendido a apreciar cada cambio que hace mi cuerpo y mi barriguita.

MAC: In Extra Dimension Collection 2013

Hi, MAC recently release this new In Extra Dimension Collection as part of their spring/summer products. On this collection, they put out new skinfinshes, new blushes and new eyeshadows all with the extra dimension texture. This texture is describe as "..unique liquid-powder hybrid formula..." which feels very silky and creamy. I actually wish I can have all the products of this collection, because I really love the feeling and look of them!

Hola, la marca MAC Cosmetics recientemente lanzó al mercado una nueva colección de primavera/verano llamada: In Extra Dimension. En esta línea salieron nuevos polvos skinfinish, nuevos rubores y nuevas sombras; todos con la textura extra dimensión. Esta textura MAC la describe como: “…fórmula híbrida exclusiva de líquido-polvo…” la cual se siente bastante sedosa y cremosa.

¡Es más si fuera por mí los tendría todos, ya que me encanta la textura y cómo funcionan estos productos!

Hi everybody! I recently received this two boxes on the mail and here is a peek of what they had inside.

The first is the Ipsy March Glam Bag : The Great escape. Apparently inspired by travel or cruising, look at the pretty marine design of the bag. It is my official first bag from them and I was quite satisfied, nothing too crazy mostly all things that I can definitely will try and use. The cost is $10.00 a month

I have to say that the cool thing about the Influenster program and that is completely free and the products are totally full size! Also a lot of the things I had gotten from them, are things I would have never thought of buying my self, something exciting for me.

On this box called: Sugar n' spice they: ".. threw in a bit of sugar, kicked up the heat, and delivered something irresistible to [my] door"...
I'm also happy with this box, beside the belvita breakfast biscuits which I don't care about, everything else will get used for sure!

Cut Crease Makeup " Arabic Inspired "

Bdellium Tools Studio Line Makeup Brushes

Hi guys, if you've known me for a while you should know by now that I'm a Makeup Brush fanatic! So today I bring you one of my favorites lines called Bdellium Tools, they are really good quality and are quite affordable. Here is their Studio Line yellow makeup brushes, made with natural bristles. ( if you rather use synthetic makeup brushes check out their Eco Line Here)

I have been using these brushes for about a year and a half now and I have to tell you that I am incredibly happy with the way they perform, the quality of the bristle and their durability. I have their professional line on my Wish List, and can't wait until I can get it!

Hola chicas, si me han seguido por un tiempo sabrán lo obsesionada que estoy con los Brochas de Maquillaje! Ya hace tiempo les había hablado de Bdellium Tools (video) y tengo que decirles que se han convertido en una de mis marcas favoritas de brochas, porque además de ser de buena calidad sus precios son muy asequibles. Las brochas de hoy son de su línea Studio con mango amarillo y todas con cerdas naturales. Si son de las que prefieren cerdas sintéticas revisen su línea Eco aquí.

Estas brochas ya llevan aproximadamente un año y medio conmigo, y debo decirles que estoy súper satisfecha con la forma que funciona, la calidad de las cerdas y su durabilidad. Hasta tengo su set profesional a mi “lista de deseos” y ya estoy loca por tenerlo!

772: small eyeshadow brush, soft and compact. Perfect to pack on eyeshadow and great for small lids.
Brocha pequeña, compacta y suave. Esta brocha es perfecta para aplicar la sombra en forma compacta y oscura en el parpado.

777: medium eyeshadow brush, soft and fluffy. Can be used to add and blend eyeshadow.
Brocha mediana, suave y suelta. Puede ser usada para aplicar y difuminar las sombras.

776: blending brush. Very similar to a MAC 217, just a bit more fluffy. Works amazing!
Brocha de difuminar. Muy similar a la famosa brocha MAC 217, pero un poco más suelta. Funciona de maravilla!

780: pencil brush. Small and very rounded at the top, it can be used for detail work but it might be too big for smaller eyes.
Brocha tipo lápiz. Pequeña y redondeada en la punta. Puede ser usada para detallar la sombra en el ojo; pero puede ser muy grande en ojos pequeños.

765: angle fluffy brush. Nice to place shadow on the corner of the eye and blend inward. Definitely not a basic but nice addition for more dramatic looks.
Brocha suelta en ángulo. Buena para aplicar sombra en las esquinas de los ojos y para difuminar. No necesariamente una básica, pero si una buena opción para realizar looks más dramáticos.

758: large smudge. Very compact short bristles. This brush is perfect to smudge and smoke shadows and liners.
Brocha grande de humear, con cerdas pequeñas y compactas. Esta brocha es perfecta para ahumar sombras y lápices de ojos.

What caught my attention the most was the Shimmer Palettes, the beautiful colors of shadows and of course the lipsticks.

Lo que más me llamo la atención fueron las paletas brillantes, los colores súper lindos de las paletas de sombras y por supuesto los labiales.

I could not resist but to buy a few items immediately, you know a lot of times when Wet n Wild comes out with a new Collection they run out quickly and I have to run around to find the ones I want. So I purchased one of the Shimmer Palettes and a lipstick. I don't really have a review yet, but I did take pictures and a swatch. Check out below.

Por supuesto no pude resistirme y me compre un par de productos, especialmente porque muchas de las veces que Wet n Wild sale con una colección nueva termino corriendo por todos lados tratando de encontrar los productos que quiero, ya que se agotan super rapido!

Esta vez me compre la Paleta de Brillos y un labial de un color que me llamo bastante la atención. Y como no los he probado en sí, no les tengo reseña pero si les tengo fotos y un swatch. Ve mas abajo.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tart: Trollop

So who has never hear of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics? If you say no, then let me introduce you to this 100% vegan and cruelty free cosmetic company!

I want to start off by showing you one of their most famous products: The Lip Tart, a liquid lipstick with incredible pigmentation and a semi-matte finish.

Details and my opinions in the list bellow:

The color Trollop is describe on their site as : True Cranberry Pink but I see it more as a bright pink. What do you think?
You only need a drop of this product to cover your whole lips, if you use to much the product can bleed outside your lip line.
The semi-matte finish is excellent, given the fact that is not completely dry it stays creamy and hydrated on the lips.
You will need a lip brush to apply the products because it does not come with an applicator.
The liptart has a curious smell of mint and herbs (at least my)
Sometime the product separates and you need to shake it.

Díganme quien nunca ha oído de la marca Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics? Si contestaste que no, entonces déjame presentarte a esta compañía de cosméticos 100% vegana y que no testa en animales!

Para empezar les muestro uno de los productos más famosos de ellos llamados “Lip Tarts” un labial líquido con pigmentación súper fuerte y un acabado semi-matte.

Detalles y mi opinión en el listado siguiente:

El color llamado “Trollop” es descrito según OCC como “Un verdadero rosado arándano”. Pero yo lo veo más como un rosado brillante ¿qué piensan ustedes?
Para cubrir todo tu labio solo necesitas una gota de producto, si usas mucho se te puede chorrear fuera de los labios.
El acabado semi-matte es excelente ya que al no ser completamente seco, se mantiene en los labios bastante cremoso e hidratante.
Vas a necesitar un pincel de labios para aplicarte el producto, al menos que quieras manchar tu dedos. Ya que el productos no contiene un aplicador.
El liptart tiene un olor a menta y hierbas. (por lo menos el mío)
A veces necesitaras agitar el producto porque puede que se separe.

This Stila "In the Know" palette is the perfect addition to those of you who want, need or love mattes! This palette has a great combination of colors, from light ones to a perfect dark brown and a black. Another cool thing is that you can make all kinds of looks, and it works on all skin colors!

This palette was my only shadow purchase at the Makeup Show, even though I own many shadows I didn't own a good amount of neutral mattes, so this was the perfect addition to my makeup collection.

Esta paleta de Stila "In the Know" palette es la perfecta adición para aquellos que quieren, necesitan o aman los colores mates! La paleta tiene una muy buena combinación de colores, desde claros hasta el perfecto marrón oscuro y un negro. Otra cosa que esta súper chévere de la paleta es que puedes hacer muchos looks con ella, al igual que puede servir en todos tonos de piel.

Esta paleta de sombras fue la única que compre en el Makeup Show, ya que por muchas sombras que tengo, no tenía ninguna con colores mates neutrales. Por esta razón que no dude agregarla a mi colección!

It includes a dark grey waterproof eye liner. I couldn't tell you how it works because mine broke when I tried to pull some out and it got stuck, then I pulled the pencil apart and could not get it back together. Big mess!
The quality on these shadows are excellent, they are pigmented, silky and blend beautifully!

My The Makeup Show Experience! Orlando 2012

And now for my experience at the Makeup Show Orlando 2012! I know my latest post had been all about this show, but hey Makeup is my life and this show was so exciting for me that I wanted to make sure you could hear about it too. If you follow any other Beauty Blogger of Central Florida you might have read about a bloggers event and their two different days at the show. In my case I couldn't attend the preview and only enjoyed the show one day. But I had to tell you it was a great one day!

Y ahora les voy a contar mi experiencia en el Makeup show Orlando 2012! Si ya sé que mis últimas entradas han estado llenas de cosas de este show ¿Pero que puedo decir? El maquillaje es mi vida y este show me tenia súper emocionada y quería que ustedes estuvieran al tanto de todo!

Si siguen a alguna otra miembro de las Blogueras de Belleza de la Florida Central se habrán dado cuenta que ellas hablaron de ir a un adelanto, y quizás de los dos días que asistieron. En mi caso no pude asistir al adelanto de blogueras y solo disfrute un día en el Show. Pero eso si fue un Súper Día!

First stop was James Vincent "In your Kit" class, he gave great insight on the products he uses and how to keep your makeup kit to a minimum, only carrying what you need. He also talked about a lot of the brands that were in exhibition and their best products.

After the class I started visiting the different booths, checking out the products and making I got the products that I had on my list (Didn't happen of course!)

Mi primera parada fue la clase de “En tu Kit” con James Vincent, un maquillador de celebridades espectacular. Nos hablo de los productos que el utiliza en sus clientes, los que son importantes, y como reducir o compactar tu kit para que solo lleves las cosas que necesitas. También hablo de las marcas que estaban exhibiéndose y que productos eran los “imprescindibles” de cada una.

Después de la clase me fui a caminar y visitar los diferentes stands, chequeando los productos y asegurándome de solo comprar las cosas que tenia en la lista. (Claro que no paso, jijij)

I also got to meet, talk and joke a lot with Toby Sells! To be honest I had not idea he was such a big deal until he started naming the films and shows he has worked on, including The Walking Dead and Teen Wolf! He made this shoulder piece in a manner of a couple of hours (or less) and it came out very realistic, such an amazing artist!

También tuve la oportunidad de conocer, hablar, y hacer chistes con Toby Sells! Si les soy sincera no tenia ni idea que tan increíble era hasta que me empezó a nombrar todas las películas y series en las que trabaja, incluyendo The Walking Dead y Teen Wolf! Es más este artista hizo esta quemada en el modelo, en solo un par de horas y hay que decir que le quedo increíblemente realista. Todo un Artista!

*Sleek Face Contour Kit in Medium: This contour/highlight duo is a great addition to any makeup collection. The contour has a nice color for medium tones, not too red not too grey and it's completely matte. The highlight is soft and has a nice satin finish instead of shimmery like many other highlights do. Recommended for sure too!

-- Este duo de contorno/iluminador es la perfecta adición a cualquier colección de maquillaje. El contorno tiene un buen color para piel de tonos medianos, no muy roja ni muy gris además que es completamente mate. Hi everyone! The Makeup Show is finally coming to Orlando, and I can't be more excited.
I remember going to New York City one year to specifically to attend one of this shows and now here it is in my own city, how excellent!

* Tengo que confesar que mi parte favorita del look es sin duda el vestido. El peinado es tan raro y como fuera de moda, que me parece que desbalancea lo linda del vestido; me hubiera gustado que usara su cabello suelto en ondas o quizás otro estilo de peinado alto. Pero bueno como ya dije el vestido es mi parte favorita, ya que es extremadamente elegante y exquisito. Es mas me encantaría usar un vestid así, saben cuando sea rica y famosa, jejeje ya pronto!

Silver plus Glitter Nail Polishes!

I'm absolutely in love with this combination of polishes! Everyone noticed my nails and was telling me how cool they looked and how much they like it. I totally recommend the silver Milani color, it's metallic and very shiny. The Essie sparkles are great too but I don't think they are as unique as the silver.

¡Estoy completamente enamorada de esta combinación de pinturas de uñas! Cuando la tenía puesta, la mayoría de las personas notaban mis manos y me decían que les gustaba. Sinceramente les recomiendo el color plateado de Milani, es metalico y bien brillante. Las glitters de Essie están chéveres tambien, pero no las considero tan originales como el color plateado.

Road Trip to Austin Texas! August 2012

On a late Thursday night while browsing the internet for last minutes cruises, my husband and I gave up the idea of the beach ( all cruises where sold out) and decided to embark on a little 20 hours road trip to Texas! We quickly called our friends in Austin, packed our stuff, made sandwiches, clean the house a bit, and made loooots of coffee for the night in the road! Thank God everything when well, and we had an very happy and relaxed week of vacation.

Here are some of the photos of our little trip, is not many but I wanted to share it with you guys J

En una noche de un Jueves mientras buscábamos cruceros de últimos minuto, mi esposo y yo decidimos dejar a atrás la idea de playa y paraíso (no había nada disponible) y tomar un pequeño viaje en carro de 20 horas a Texas! Por supuesto después de la decisión súbita, inmediatamente llamamos a nuestros amigos en Austin, empezamos a empacar maletas, hacer los sándwiches para el camino, organizar la casa un poco, y a hacer mucho, pero mucho café para la noche que nos esperaba! Gracias a Dios, todos nos fue bien y pasamos una semana súper contestos y relajados.

Influenster Latina Beauty Preview! (VoxBox 2012)

Hi everyone, last month I was selected to receive the VoxBox Latina Beauty from Influensters.com. and I few days ago my free box arrived. As with any box you never know what you are going to get until you receive the products, but in this case I only knew that I was getting a female hygiene product because they mentioned it in the email. I finally hurry up and took pictures and here is the preview of all that I got!

I will be doing reviews of all the products after I try them, either on a post or maybe all together in a video.

Como ya les había hablado en este video (click) fue escogida para recibir la nueva caja VoxBox de Influenter dedicada al mercado Latino.
