Maybelline FIT ME has had some wonderful and whack reviews on their entire range.

Basically this range introduces a foundation, concealer and face powder and blushes and bronzers that "FITS" your skin!

My uni bag contains products that I would just use for touch ups or IF I am running late I would use these "on the go" products for a quick glam do!

On uni days I mainly look for a simple neutral look with glowing skin! A simple brown or black winged eye liner look and a dash of color on my cheeks and lips!

I love this handy compact because it contains all my essentials. ( bronzer, blush, highlight and contour)

If you know me, I like a little sparkle in my life so I actually like the shimmer contained in the colors.

This product is cheap (about $8) and is readily available online!

Lancome Dual Finish Powder - Matte Neautral 01

This powder is my favorite matte powder and does not dry me out. Its very fine in texture and it sets my make up very well and also is great for the mid day touch ups! It is a matte finish but does not make me look cakey!

Revlon Colour stay lipstick -Mauve

Hello friends:)

Winter washes out my skin so I am always on the look out for the perfect winter blush.

I prefer my blushes with silver or gold reflexes because I have dry skin and matte blushes can sometimes accentuate my flakey/dry patches. Blushes with gold or silver reflexes can also add definition to the face and give your face that subtle winter glow.

Here are my blushes and my opinion on my favourite top 5:)

1) Nars - Deep Throat

Five star packaging and five stars for the colour pay off. ~~A little of deep throat is good for you~~ (Obviously I am talking about this blush...) The peachy pink colour contains very fine gold reflexes which when applied on my cheek bone gives me a "sculpted" affect which ultimately makes my face slimmer and pinched with a healthy glow.

2) Nars - Angelika

This beautiful Cotton Candy pink with silver reflexes is a blue tone pink blush and is INTENSELY pigmented. Angelika is really quite angelic. A gentle sweep over the apples of your cheeks and you will look like you have just been outdoors and pinched by the cold. In my opinion, I think this shade is very flattering on girls with quite a pale complexion. The shimmer is un-noticeable, but as I mentioned it would add a 3D dimension to the face sculpting and creating contours.

3) Maybelline Mousse Blush - Rose Petal 25

A natural smooth application which gives my face a very "friendly" rosey glow. The pigmentation of this mousse blusher is not intense but it gives you a rather natural pink glow. There is gold shimmers which are visible but it does not leave the face sparkly. The staying power is not very high so I would suggest that you set it with a matte blusher with similar shade.

4) MAC - Pink Swoon (Sheertone)

This is my ONLY favorite matte pink blush because firstly, it reminds me of Angelika by NARS and its also very blend-able, build-able and pigmented. The barbie pink blush is fairly blue toned and in my opinion is suited for more yellow / olive skin tone rather then people who have pink undertones! This blush works fantastically in setting my Maybelline mousse blush in rose petal! It goes on quite sheer on the cheeks so its up to you on whether you want to leave your cheeks looking natural or build up for a more sculpted dramatic pink cheek ;)

5) MAC - DAME (from Hark The Heraldry Face kit)

DAME - is in my opinion a sugared plum pink shade so in a color I would say it is a Mauve shade. It contains gold reflexes which look so beautiful on the the contours of my cheek. I say that because I most prefer to use this shade on the hollows of my cheek rather then the apples of my cheek to slim and add definition to my face! DAME could also be worn on the apples of the cheek but I would use it with a very light hand. I find that it adds warmth to my face and looks great with a bold winged eye liner look. This shade is very special compared to other blushers because it is fairly dark and hard to use but the colour pay off is beautiful and warm.

1) Mario Badescu - Enzyme Cleansing Gel

This Fruit enzyme based cleaning gel contains papaya and grapefruit extracts (AHA) to help exfoliate dead skin cells whilst regenerating new skin cells for smoother brighter and more radiant skin! The apple green colored gel cleanser does not foam up but I feel like it works really well in conjunction with my face massage to remove dirt, oils and excess make up. I love how this product leaves my skin feeling extremely fresh and hydrated. It does not leave my skin tight at all and it leaves a fresh subtle scent which is non bothering.

2) Mario Badescu - Aloe Vera Toner

The Aloe Vera has a simple task for my skin! It protects my skin against moisture loss whilst keeping the nasties out of the houseeee!! It also cleanses excess debris and cleanses my pores gradually making them appear smaller. There is no subtle scent and the ingredients are simple. ( Aloe leaf juice + aqua) It also helps reduces redness and any face inflammations in control especially with winter being so unpredictable. A put a bit on a soft cotton pad and just dab my face with it and wait until moisture is locked in. Some say Toners are not needed but I disagree, I think since I have been using this one my skin has been less dry and prone to dryness and sensitivity!

3) Dior Hydra-life skin Energizer Serum

A gel like serum which works fabulously in conjunction with my toner in helping my skin restore and capturing moisture when it is needed. I love this serum because I can feel how plump and smooth my face is after two pumps! I feel like because of this serum my foundation application is so easy and I do not have to worry about dry spots and rough spots etc!After almost 4 weeks of usage my skin has become plump, radiant and my skin is well nourishes. two pumps of this baby in the morning and night and your on your way to better skin:)

4) Shiseido White Lucent - Brightening eye treatment

HIGHLY recommended: HIGHLY hydrating, INSTANT brightening affect and LINE diffusing. The treatment is formulated in a thicker type of lotion which is easily absorbed into the skin and it contains light reflecting properties that instantly help boost any type of dark circles and fine lines whilst helping skin combat the issues.! The only thing I have to complain is that it dispenses way too much product. Half a pump is more then enough for the under eye area~ ( Prevention is better then Curing)

5) Shiseido Sun protection Eye cream SPF 32 PA++

A lightly YET powerful eye cream which helps with protecting my eyes against the sun! I have a few sunspots under eyes and that is due to my own ignorance about skin care ( regret regret regret ). Not much needed to be said but it is my MUST have. I like the squeeze tube :) Note: This is not a "treatment" this product is purely for protection purposes.

6) Nivea Daily Essentials - Rich Moisturising Day Cream

I honestly feel like this cream does high end quality wonders. Its hydrating, smells fabulous, long lasting and protects my skin from harmful free radicals AND inc. SPF 15 which is crucial crucial crucial for all young and mature ages women in the WHOLE of Australia! I purchased the tube which is targeted for dry and sensitive skin and I love this product! Contains Natural Almond Oil & Calendula Extract. ( Def will be repurchasing)

Night Time

1) Make up Remover - Nivea Daily Essentials - Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes

I do enjoy using these wipes as they do remove make up very well whilst also providing my skin with the nourishment that it needs without irritating my eyes and lip area. The only thing I would complain about is that the towelettes are not moist enough. In fact they almost feel dry. On nights where I am out till late and the last thing I want to do is do my night skin care routine, I simply use these wipes and go to bed. I would wake up the next morning without feeling tight and irritated!

2) Estee Lauder - Idealist Pore Minimising Skin Refinisher.

The first month of using this product, I swear it did wonders for my skin. My skin was smooth, radiant and most importantly my pores were shrinking shrinking shrinking but this month it did nothing for me but because this product is so expensive I am just going to finish it off because it is a waste. The silicon gel texture does feel quite amazing and smoothing but I feel like I have to use it for a month, stop for one month and then start again for the full affects to kick in. I cannot be bothered :(

3) Trilogy - Age Proof Replenishing Night cream

I have read some positive reviews on this night cream so why not try it myself. I was excited because it is natural and contains omega 3, 6 and 9, hyaluronic acid and olive oils and I thought this would be great because my skin needs to be pampered with goodness when I sleep. ok here we go.. I was dissapointed after the first week of using this because I feel like its SO drying for my skin. It did not replenish my skin and it also did not rejuvenate my skin. The texture of this cream is also extremely thick so you must warm up the cream between your fingers before you put it on ( which I did) and I felt like the cream was extremely hard to spread out evenly all over my face. The smell is very pleasant and smells like citrus. Im trying to use this cream up quicker so I also use it on my body as well as my Cetaphil moisturiser. -- After reading everyone elses reviews, I have a slight suspicion my one is a dud...=[

Hand Food- Soap and Glory

I first came across this brand whilst strolling through the weird and exciting make up items located at KIT cosmetics and this brand surely did catch my eye! Pink and labeled " The most astonishing hand cream ever..." and ONLY COSTING $11.95 there is absolutely nothing to lose here. If its good I can go "yess to soft and amazing smelling hands" and if it sucks I wont be heart broken.

I wish I can capture how unique and yummily fragranced this hand cream is. I would say that it is a cross between Juicy couture and frangipani floral scent.The next important factor into choosing a good hand cream is to see if the gel/lotion/cream is light weight and easily absorbed into my hands. Hand food is definitely an extremely light weight and non greasy lotion. I feel like the lotion is extremely fluffy and is quite aqua based. Also with added benefits of Shea butter. macadamia oil and marshmallow yes, my hands are very very soft. Its like I never washed dishes before! I feel like my cuticles are softer and especially the rough spots on my elbows are no longer drought looking and rough.

SO having said so many great comments about this lotion I do have one bad thing to say. You can either buy a 125 ML tube or a 50 ML tube and not a perfect size 75 mL tube. So it was abit annoying to carry around in my bag :(

SO lastly, IS THIS THE MOST ASTONISHING HANDS CREAM EVER?

haha I guess we all have to try to find out right?!! Go grab one:)

So the whole "natural" sulphate free, paraben free and basically harsh chemical free trend is starting to kick in, in my bathroom and I am slowly looking into organic and natural skin care and hair care products!

Yes to carrots Nourishing Shampoo:

claims: " It cleanses, nourishes and moisturizes your hair and scalp with Dead Sea Minerals, revitalizing and protecting it and leaving you with luminous, luscious locks."

The shampoo smells deliciously of carrot cake with icing on top (yum). The shampoo comes in a gel texture and is quite easily massaged into the head. The shampoo does not lather up (I guess because it has less chemicals?) and the most most important factor is that it leaves my hair feeling so refreshed and so pampered. I think it de-stresses my hair because it doesn't turn into a huge fur ball if I do not condition it:) This shampoo is simply one of the most nourishing, best smelling and also "light"weight shampoo's I have used in a long time. It cleans my hair without over drying it and it also does not leave build up of yucky gunk.

Yes to carrots Nourishing Conditioner:

claims: "Yes To Carrots Nourishing Conditioner nourishes, conditions, softens, smoothes and tames even the wildest of tresses."

Delicious aroma of carrot cake once again.

The conditioner is one of the most unique conditioners I have probably used in the drugstore market. I feel as though the liquid conditioner is very runny and light in weight and I really thought this product was going to suck. I gave it a couple of trials and I would squeeze about a 50c coin size amount and then just gently massage it onto the lower half of my head. I would then leave it on for about 3 minutes and rinse. This conditioner is REALLLY conditioning and REALLY does what it claims. Its not total magic where my hair would turn out to be a pantene add but its soft enough for me to comb through my hair and not scream from pain. I feel like my hair (once it is dried) to be very bouncy and I could work it (curl, straight, plait) with ease.

The only thing I would complain about is the bottle! I feel like it took me about 40 seconds to squeeze the amount of conditioner out that I need. The hole is too small:( !

Winter is my love ~~hate~~ season. Dry, tight, flakey and dull. Ring a bell? Sure does for me!

Sometimes having those annoying symptoms can make life so so hard especially when you are a girl who likes to wear foundation on a daily basis! Thank god there are foundations out there in the market who target girls like me who want dewy picture perfect skin.

Here are my top 3 faves!


Borurjois, Loreal, DIORSKIN

Bourjois healthy mix, Loreal Studio secrets HD, Dior Nude (yes looks dark but foundation is my perfect match)

Bourjois Healthy Mix serum foundation

Finish: Semi Matte

coverage: Light - medium ( buildable)

Bourjois healthy mix serum is a gel based foundation which stipples onto my skin extremely lightly whilst covering most of my freckles and marks whilst also giving off a pleasantly fruity fragrance! I do feel that it hydrates my skin without making my face appear oily! My skin is left supple and yes "healthy" looking indeed!

This foundation IN MY OPINION, is best applied with a flat top kabuki brush or a stippling brush :)

(+) Lasted for about 12 hours

(-) Only 3 shades (NC 20 - 30)

DIORskin Nude Foundation

Finish: The PERFECT dewy glow

Coverage: Medium to High

High end will always be high end! This foundation was first discovered when I was ears dropping to two women discussing this foundation at Myers and yep they talked me into it! This foundation is extremely light in weight but covers like no other! This foundation claims to have "natural mineral pigments and Dior’s innovative Mineralized Water" (whatever that means) and in all seriousness THIS foundation is SO hydrating! Its like putting on a moisturized foundation! No cracks, no lines just a beautiful picture perfect glow. I believe this foundation is best applied with a dense flat top kabuki for the most absolute flawless glowing skin! This foundation also goes beautifully with creme blush as it adds warmth and definition to the face!

(+) Its dior and its hydrating. I love it!

(-) Its dior and it was expensive ( worth every penny though)

Loreal studio secrets HD

Finish: Dewy

Coverage: Medium, buildable

First of all! I DO NOT LIKE THE GIMMICK BRUSH! second of all! I love how this foundation just applies on my face ever so smoothly and ever so lightly! It is extremely moisturizing and it just gives my skin a subtle glow:) The smell is not too pleasant but I b/c of the results of the foundation it does not bother me. The foundation at first did feel a little odd because it was just so light and runny but surprisingly it lasted for about 7 hours and there was no slipping and sliding:) I like to use a make up sponge or my stippling brush with this foundation!

(+) hyrating, soft and smooth skin!

(-) seriously, the brush sucks and it only contains 17 mLs

rating: 8/10

ALSO, before any foundation application, remember to exfoliate, tone and moisture surge your beautiful skin:) That way you can make the most out of your foundation and feel beautiful!!

Glasshouse triple Scented Candle - Vanilla Caramel.

I am intoxicated with the beautiful scent of the -Vanilla Caramel- Glass house candle. The rich aroma of Vanilla beans with the added scent sweet of caramel candy just melts my mind, soothing my body mind and soul. This luxuriously packaged candle looks classy as a home decor and is also very body and environmentally friendly. The non toxic wick makes it safe for it to be burnt around children. I am so happy that I have found this candle. It has made my day!

* I also love how there is no burnt scent after the candle is blown out- The fragrance lingers around for hours after!
