The premier event exploring healthcare facility design, Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo (HFSE), once again welcomes the thought-leaders, trend setters and industry authorities behind designing, planning, constructing and managing the medical facilities of tomorrow to its annual conference at the Navy Pier in Chicago. One of the conference’s most anticipated features is a three-part workshop entitled, Exploring the Manufacturability of Healthcare Environments. Led by David Chambers, Director of Planning, Architecture and Design at Sutter Health, the workshop will challenge research & development representatives from select healthcare manufacturers to collaborate, solve a problem associated with healthcare and potentially advance technology used in the healthcare environments of the future. Also a Research Fellow at the Rice University Building Institute, Chambers will discuss his research topic entitled: “A Manufactured Facility Model” and the proceedings will be published by the Rice University Building Institute. All attendees will be welcome to attend a presentation of the findings, recommendations and best practices discussed during these sessions on Thursday, October 1.

A recent consumer survey marks a positive trend for the entire German market, with both turnover and business activities on the rise.
