How can you increase sales without spending extra money on advertising?

Your current customers are your best source of potential new customers. Are you cross selling your services? Your best resource for increasing sales is your existing customer base. These customers already know and appreciate your style of doing business. They already use and like your products and services. The key, then, to increasing sales is to continue serving your existing customers even better.

The best strategy you have for increasing sales is cross-selling. Cross-selling is the practice of selling new products or services to current customers based on their previous purchases.

Sometimes cross-selling can be accomplished with the initial purchase. For instance, we find that when a client purchases a car wrap, many of them will also purchase a new sign at the same time. Cross-selling can also be accomplished several weeks or even months after a client’s initial purchase.

Here are some steps to putting a good cross-selling plan in place:

1. Always attempt an up-sell if it is in the customer’s best interest.

The key to successful cross-selling is to listen carefully to your customer’s needs and to brainstorm possible products and services that will meet that need.

If you have products that are related to the products he or she has purchased, or products that are designed to work with the product, suggest these as possible additions to the purchase. If additional products are designed and available after the initial sale, most customers will be pleased that you remembered their sale and their needs, and they will be open to hearing about new products weeks, or even months, after the initial sales transaction.

2. Introduce additional products and services to your customer list via email.

Make good use of your customer email list! Introduce all new products through informational emails. Customers like to feel informed about new developments and will be more open to trying new products if they have been educated and informed about the benefits and advantages inherent in the new or related products.

3. Never try to sell too many products or services at once.

Be careful to target your cross-selling on products that are the best match for each client. Do not try to sell the whole catalog to your customers. Remember that each customer is an individual with individual needs, styles, and images, and try to match the best of your products to each customer.

Cross-selling doesn’t have to be a one-time shot. You might cross-sell a product that is especially appropriate for the holiday season now, and after the first of the year target a different product for cross-selling. Sometimes it might prove useful to offer a discount or incentive of some kind on a specific product or service that you want to focus cross-selling efforts on at this time.

Cross-selling efforts can, and should, be a win-win proposal: a win for both the seller and the buyer. When done effectively, cross-selling will not only increase your sales without spending extra money on advertising, but it will also create good will and loyalty in your existing customers.

Is your image helping or hurting your business?

According to Entrepreneur Magazine, a company’s image consists of a variety of facts, events, personal histories, advertising, and goals working together to make an impression on the public. The perception that people have of your business when they hear your company’s name defines your image.

Due to the economy, people are expecting more for their money. We cannot afford to turn off one potential customer with a tarnished or unprofessional image.

In order to establish a positive image, you must first identify the characteristics or qualities that you would like your business to be identified with.

Think about what the most important characteristics are to your customer base. Is timeliness of the essence? Maybe your customers value accessibility to real, live people in customer service. In some industries, the quality or uniqueness of a product is crucial.

Whatever matters most to your customer must matter most to you when developing a positive image in your customers’ eyes.

Everything you do and say contributes to the image that your company projects. Everything from the company’s logo to the outgoing phone message, stationary design and personal appearance of employees and executives, cleanliness of the facilities and effective product design- every detail must be examined for consistency in order to have a positive image in the marketplace.

Take a few minutes to consider the following elements of your company’s image:

1. Business cards, stationary and marketing materials

Is the company logo, colors, font, and contact information consistent throughout all forms of media? Are all print materials printed professionally and on high-quality paper? Are all materials stored in a clutter-free and dust-free area so that customers do not receive smudged or damaged materials?

2. Cleanliness of environment

Are all workspaces and surrounding areas kept tidy and clean when not in use? What kind of décor has been selected for the office- framed artwork, plants, pleasant colors? How frequently is general maintenance performed in work areas? Is the building generally in good repair?

3. Your website and online presence

Have you used matching logos, colors, and readable fonts from your print materials in all of your online venues? Is your contact information easy to locate and consistent with written materials? Do you have a policy in place for answering email requests and inquiries in a timely manner? What follow-up are you dedicated to? Is the information online updated frequently so that customers trust you for timely, useful information?

4. Signage

Is all signage clearly visible and effectively placed to have the ultimate impact on potential customers? Do all signs clearly assist customers in finding and contacting you? Have you used logos, colors and fonts consistent with all other marketing efforts?

Creating the image you want for your company is easy if you pay attention to the details.

Think about what you admire and look for when you are deciding to pursue a business venture with a new company. Trust that your customers want the same courtesies and consideration.

Now, if you need new signage, please call us!

Until we talk again take care,

Why should you continue to promote your business during a slow economy?

Even though the economy is slow, it only makes sense that people still need goods and services and are looking for the best price and quality available. There is still plenty of business out there for those who are the best at what they do. Efficient and consistent advertising will help your company be the best and benefit from the still-existent opportunities.

For many businesses, backing off and cutting back on promotion is a natural response to a struggling economy. In fact, many of your competitors have probably already cut their budgets for advertising and promotional programs. If you, on the other hand, still promote your business effectively and efficiently, there will be far less competition in your favored advertising mediums leaving more opportunities for you to reach far more people than you might in a more competitive, fast-paced economy.

Also, continued advertising helps your existing customers and your prospects to remember you when spending picks up again. Offering discounts for existing customers helps to create customer loyalty when customers realize that you are trying to help them out during hard times. Also, during a slow economy is the perfect time to make potential, new customers aware of your company through aggressive, yet relevant marketing.

History has shown that companies who do this during slow times are the first to recover when the economic tides turn. When customers are able to buy again, they will buy from those companies that they have heard from regularly.

Now is the perfect time to negotiate with the various advertising outlets for discounted advertising services. You may also be able to secure non-compete clauses, ensuring exclusivity for a period of time. In some mediums, where space is the premium factor, you could negotiate for lower rates for the same space you typically use, or possibly be awarded more space- bigger ads!- for the same prices you paid in the stronger economy.

Agreeing to a longer advertising campaign may enable you to lock in lower per-ad rates, so that the extended campaign costs nothing more than the originally planned short-term campaign would have at the pre-recession rates.

Focus your efforts on performance-based advertising, such as Google Ads.

In this age of “techie tools” there are many advertising mediums that make use of diagnostic tools which can measure the performance and success of each ad campaign. Using the statistical information provided by the diagnostics can tell you which ad campaigns are working, which ones are ignored, what audience is being reached by each ad and when the highest traffic is visiting your websites and blog posts.

Advanced diagnostics can even tell you how long each visitor stays on your site and which screen views or pages are the most widely read and which pages do not hold visitors’ interest.

Finally, not to sound self-serving, but now is the perfect time to get a vehicle wrap. Just driving down the road, you can expose your company to 70,000 customers daily!

Until we talk again take care,

Marco

Be honest: How well do you follow-up with your customers and prospects?

Let’s be honest. Most companies are not very good at following up with inquiries from potential customers. The truth is that most potential new customers will not chase you. They expect you to care enough about their business that you will follow-up with them once they have made an initial inquiry. If you don’t, they will seek out a competitor that will.

In order to be the best at follow-up, it is critical for you to keep a record of every quote that you provide. Include notes on the date the contact was made, what conditions were placed on the quote, and specific information about what the customer needs and wants from you.

Keep this information organized in a safe place that is easily accessible, as it is not uncommon for customers to call back six or eight months after receiving a quote, ready to move forward on your offer. Be ready when the customer is ready to move forward, and in the meantime, follow-up and keep in touch.

According to Sales and Marketing Management Magazine, 80% of sales leads are not followed-up on. For companies who fail to follow-up, this is leaving a LOT of money on the table!

By definition, qualified sales leads are people who have contacted you, shown an active interest in your product or service, or been identified by reputable word-of-mouth referrals. Courteous and consistent follow-up nearly ensures sales to these people and companies.

So how can you improve your follow-up process? The following four steps will help:

A. Use effective technology.

If you are still using your Rolodex, ouch! Transfer all of your contacts and their information into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software so that you can keep notes and due dates current.

B. Nurture your leads.

People buy when they are ready to buy; so plan to stay in touch via direct mail, email, and by phone at least once every two weeks. Alternate the strategies used so that you will make contact with everyone, one way or another. Using a variety of strategies and approaches gives you the best opportunity to reach everyone.

C. Never send the same email twice.

D. Use email marketing software to send emails.

Or better yet, use marketing automation. That is what we use to automate all of our marketing campaign, even some of the emails I send to you.

It is a well-known fact that the company with the best follow-up wins! Improve your follow-up process and in three months you will see a measurable spike in business; I guarantee it!

By the way, we have to pay the bills so if you have questions or would like a quote regarding vehicle wraps, signs, and banners then give me a call. If you would like to learn more about automating your follow-up process using marketing automation, send me an email and I will put you in touch with the company that helped me master my follow-up process.

With all my best,

Feather flag banners are one of the newest and popular forms of advertising flags used today. They are also referred to as Sail Flags or Swooper Flags because both types feature advertisements on fabrics attached to a pole with a solid base. Another distinctive characteristic of feather flag banner advertising is the waving motion of the flag, meant to draw people’s attention.

This time wrapping an Infinity G37 completely in 3M Chrome. The once silver G37 underwent the transformation at Expose Yourself’s main office in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. The owner of the vehicle was sold on having his G37 wrapped in chrome after reading about the Chrome Range Rover Expose Yourself wrapped earlier this year. This is only the second car wrapped in 3M Chrome in the entire United States.

The chrome wrap on the G37 looks incredible as the light reflects off of its curves brilliantly. The concept of wrapping a car chrome is something that was made popular in Dubai, and has since been seen all over the world. In the U.S. however, there haven’t been any cars wrapped completely in 3M chrome vinyl, until Expose Yourself asked “Why Not?”. Wrapping a car completely in chrome is something that people said would be impossible for many different reasons, but this did not stop Expose Yourself from trying.

The process of wrapping the vehicle in this chrome vinyl is extremely tedious and requires a skilled installer. Expose Yourself is a 3M certified wrap company with an in-house team of 3M certified installers. Expose Yourself is known as one of the premier vehicle wrap companies in the United States. Using innovative new techniques and ideas, Expose Yourself is pushing the envelope on what can be done in the industry.

A car wrap consists of a design which is developed by designers, then printed on special vinyl wrap and laminated, and finally installed or “wrapped” on a vehicle. The wrap is applied directly to the surface of the vehicle. Once applied correctly, it can easily be mistaken for a custom paint job. The car wrap is designed on the computer by a graphic designer and then printed on a large format printer. The large format printers are fitted with state of the art ink systems insuring the best color schemes and resolution available in the industry. Expose Yourself is a premier vehicle wrap company whose main office is located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Expose Yourself has wrapped vehicles for companies like, Spirit Airlines, Sheet Brand Company, Living Room Nightclub, Lexus, and many more. More and more both small and large businesses are turning to car wraps because of its high impact, and affordable cost.

When it comes to business, this form of advertising is simple – simply come up with a compelling brand statement and show it to the world by means of a professional custom car wrap. The best part is that wherever the vehicle travels to, so too does the slogan or logo you want to make popular with your prospects or costumers. Even a single vehicle can generate thousands of impressions per day, rendering it a truly feasible brand-positioning strategy.

Car wraps boast the lowest cost-per-impression rate compared to any other form of advertising media and are not only affordable for large brands that elect to use vehicle wraps as a core advertising strategy, but also for small and medium-sized businesses. You can’t shut off the message on a car wrap, like you can on a TV, it is displaying your message and providing valuable advertising 24/7. A fair display advertisement in the Yellow Pages can reach costs of $12,000 for just one year. Even using this traditional form of advertising your ad is placed in the same area as all your competition. Starting at just $1,100 (one-time fee) Expose Yourself makes it affordable and effective to achieve high impact marketing and advertising.

Expose Yourself is a 3M Certified company. Using 3M Certified installers is very important when considering a car wrap. The material used in the wrap process is a 3M Vinyl, which if applied by a certified installer has a warranty of 5 years. Expose Yourself is the only 3M Certified company in the entire Ft. Lauderdale / Miami area. Do your research, the 3M website has a list of certified companies all over the world.

Unlike traditional forms of outdoor advertising, vehicle advertising goes to where the people are. Car wraps demand attention and get the message to the highest visibility areas and most densely trafficked areas of cities, towns, shopping malls, restaurants, highways and byways. Car wraps cater to all levels of business and projects the message like no other form of advertising can.

Can a car wrap be removed? Yes, the material used can be completely removed. The high quality of the 3M vinyl allows for it to be completely removed without damaging the OEM paint on the vehicle. In fact, it actually protects the paint from sun damage as well as nicks and scratches. Expose Yourself is not only experienced in the application of vinyl, but they are equally as experienced in removing it.

There are different car wraps methods for every budget. A complete car wrap that covers the entire surface of the vehicle including windows which are covered in a special perforated vinyl, a complete wrap is usually the costliest but is also the most attention grabbing. Another option is a partial wrap which usually covers half or less of the entire vehicle. The final method is vinyl lettering and spot graphics, this method is used by most companies with a fleet of vehicles. Expose Yourself has provided all types of car wraps to all different types of businesses and companies and has proven time and again that they are amongst the elite in the industry.
