Thank you for your reply. I read somewhere that sometimes it takes time for the favicon on IE to appear. The only browser rigth now I see my icon is FF.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I use 1024x768 resolution. With the 20px margin total on both sides, I should have 4px left. I forgot about the vertical scroller using up space too. The only thing is if a page does not fit on a screen and will have horizontal scroller, should not you be able to see the right margin if you move

the horizontal scroller all the way to the right?

How difficult would it be to use 3 data sources?

1 source for a drop down list (like your early tutorial of the rescue dogs). A selection from the drop down list would display another list showing thumbnails and titles. The titles would then be hyperlinks to open the full details.

On my personal site I started a data page that used 2 or 3 drop downlists to display the another list. It still needed some work but I've since dropped the project. As it was the data refreshed each time you made a selection from either drop down. I know there's a setting that needed to change on one list but never did it.

I've answered my own question as I was following the tutorials.

This is what I've got so far. 2 DataList views on a page. First list has a thumbnail image and a title. The title is the hyperlink to the details.

The second list has all the details and will eventually have a larger picture and hyperlinks to other websites.

My current issue is with showing the details when clicking the link. If I remove the WHERE clause from the second datalist the information is displayed as expected. When I use databinding to the title the page refreshes when the link is clicked but the space is empty. During the setup the test query worked without any issues.

The problem may be my laptop as I just recently found out none of my internal links work when viewing on the local machine. I've tested hyperlinks in the reports area and recalculated hyper links.

I just don't want to publish this as a test if I'm not sure it's working. This Laptop is really getting frustrating. Hoping something will change real soon.

The caveat with IE - it must be an .ico (icon file) and it must be in the root of your directory. Otherwise you get the IE symbol!

I fixed the existing line and added the second line you had posted (with the right domain name). IE is still showing my old favicon and Chrome is still showing my new favicon. The new one shows up in Chrome bookmarks but the old one still shows in IE favorites.

It's funny you mentioned this. I recently changed my favicon and never checked IE to see if it worked. I checked now and IE is still showing the old favicon. I looked in the source code for my home page and found this:

Guess I never really finished the job. The favicon shows up just fine using Chrome.

I'll fix this up and see what happens.
