Alright, I guess ROVIE got her four-leaf clover back, because as you can see by the True Random Number Generator screen shot here, she is again our Happy Blogger for week #8. Yay! Six out of eight, Rovie. Seriously, how do you do that? Hehe!

Okay, thanks to Rona, I once more have been tagged with the Enchanted Blog Award. *Clap clap* Therefore, I'm taking this opportunity to once again accept this award *flashes a leg like Angelina Jolie*. Hehe!

Enough of me being silly, here goes another seven truths about me:

1. I don't believe in zodiac signs nor horoscopes but for the heck of it, mine is Taurus.

2. According to Wikipedia, 35% of the population do not develop wisdom teeth at all. I believe I am one of the 35%.

3. My all-time favorite fruit is watermelon.

4. I was a member of my elementary school's Book Lovers Club and I spent a good time reading books as well as doing library chores back then. Among those books I read from our school library were Sweet Valley Kids/Twins, Choose Your Own Adventure, Encyclopedia Brown, Nancy Drew and a lot more other children books.

5. I play chess and volleyball, and most recently, I got into bowling and so, now I'm planning to buy my own bowling ball and shoes ☻

6. I like watching Glee, House of Anubis and Make It or Break It.

7. My favorite color is red.

Wow! That was brain racking. I really think seven is too much. LOL.

Okay, I'm hitting two birds with one stone here so I hope you all won't mind that I take this chance to receive the Enchanted Award Ferry tagged me with.

The drill is to tell seven things about yourself, and pass on the award:

1. KM stands for Karen Mae. Some of you know that by now. It's one of the several nicknames I go by, and although I've been using it since my senior high school days as well as during my senior college days, it has become lately more specific to my online friends. As an alternative, I sometimes spell it as KayeM.

2. I'm not a morning person. 'Nuff said.

3. In my younger years, I hoped and dreamt to be a writer and/or a doctor, but God, in His wisdom, made me a doctor's wife who blogs instead.

4. I'm Filipino by blood and Canadian by citizenship but I live in the United States.

5. I learned to read and write at a very young age, even before I learned how to tie my shoelaces or comb my hair.

6. I'm a Dvorak typist and not willing to revert to QWERTY.

7. I have natural wavy hair.

Whew! Seven was a little bit too much, don't you think? LOL.

Anyway, I would love to keep the chain going, pass on this award and tag my blogging buddies with it, but I thought it best to leave the award here free for grabs to anybody who wants to claim it. Happinesss is...

...the gift of love ♥

Since I already got my Valentine's present (popcorn) in late January, I wasn't really expecting to get another present from my sweet husband on Valentine's day itself.

A couple of minutes after the clock struck midnight, my husband and I were still up in our bed, when I asked him to scratch my back. I laid on my chest and soon after he started scratching my back, he got up and asked me if I have powder that he can put on my back. With my back turned onto him, I couldn't really see him, but I could hear him going around the room and opening one of the drawers of our dresser as if looking for something (I was thinking of powder or lotion perhaps). Without looking at him, I replied that I don't have any powder. He then went back to bed and lay beside me. He swung an arm over my body reaching to my itching back. While fiddling with my iPhone, I turned to face him. He then said, "I know what can make that itchiness go away." I felt his hand scoop something from under my pillow, and then he surprised me with this blue box which I immediately recognized (from my engagement ring and wedding ring), and then he said, "Happy Valentine's Day, love." I eagerly and very excitedly opened the box, and lo and behold, a very beautiful and precious diamond and pearl white gold necklace sparkled in front of me. I couldn't contain my happiness I felt like crying! Best Valentine's Day ever ♥

Thank you, Vince, for being the wonderful husband you are. Your gift of love is more than enough for me to rejoice every day, but you always go the extra mile to keep me extraordinarily happy and superbly satisfied at all times. I love you forever and for always.

My second announcement is for Mai. Belated happy birthday, Mai! I dropped by your entry but I wasn't able to leave a comment because when I tried to, it didn't allow me - I guess commenting was disabled then? However, when I checked back again, I saw that there are three comments in your post, and I don't know if it was just my eyes that were playing tricks on me or if I'm going blind or what, but I cannot figure out, for the love of meme, where your comment button had gone. LOL. Anyways, thought I'd let you know that I passed by your entry :)

Third is, if you haven't noticed yet, my alter ego, Beki Mae, has now joined the blogosphere. If you need a little comic relief or a break from the monotony of blogging routine, please pay a visit to my alter ego's blog, Ako si Beki (ang alter ego ni Seksi). Beki, likes to make fun of herself (in a good way), and she finally has decided to go public. I promise you that Beki can deliver you a good laugh and might even crack you up, at her very own expense. Fourth, Happy Hearts Day to all my blogging buddies here :) May you all have a love-filled day, not just today, but for the rest of the year.

Fifth, and as always, my heartfelt thanks to all the regulars in this meme. There were 45 happy entries the past week, and that made me really cartwheeling-bouncing-off-the-walls happy! That's our highest attendance so far, and with all your help and weekly contributions, I hope to keep the happy bandwagon going around :)

Yes, that's why I said, no other than, because it is in fact, no other than ROVIE! Go ahead, you can all either shoot me or file a complaint to Random.Org. Whichever, you have my blessings. LOL.

I swear, I have nothing to do with this. Rovie, come out clean now, and admit that you've rigged Random.Org. Haha!

Happiness Is...

Valentine's Day 2012 came early for me. This 2-gallon popcorn was delivered to me in late January with a short note from my husband saying, "Enjoy, love. Advanced Happy Valentine's Day. I love you."

Happiness is...

...a lit candle in the dark.

I have pretty basic Photoshop skills but slowly I'm trying to learn the different Photoshop tools and functions and how to apply them into digital photo editing. My most recent find is the color replacement tool. As example, in the picture above, I wanted to put emphasis on the pink candle, and so I used the color replacement tool to create a somewhat faded, black and white background, leaving the candle in the center as the only colored image in the picture. The same tool can be used too, say, in a photo you want to change the color of your shirt from blue to red ☻

Before anything else, I would like to thank all those who supported the opening of Happiness Is... meme last Friday, January 6. I really appreciate everyone who linked up their blogs to the premier day of my meme ☻ I sincerely enjoyed reading each of your happy entries, which are all touching and heartwarming. I truly am glad that through this meme, I get to be reminded of the things that bring happiness, most especially the simplest ones like watching sunsets, retrieving a lost item, holding your partner's hand, a child's smile, comfort foods, or even a good sleep at night. These are things that we tend to overlook during times when we are down, but if we just think about them, we will realize there is always a reason to be happy regardless of our circumstance in life :) So, I like to again extend my heartfelt thank you for sharing those wonderful posts in this meme. For that, I have included in my Happy Bloggers list everyone who joined... go ahead, check it out!

As well, I would like to showcase one Happy Blogger each week, which is randomly selected with the help of a random number generator. We'll put the lucky Happy Blogger in the limelight before we start a new round of Happiness Is... meme each week. Sweet, eh? ;)
