“Stuart Fails to Save the Universe” has been renewed for a second season!

In a statement, Amy Gravitt, EVP of HBO Programming and Head of HBO & HBO Max Comedy Series said, “We’re delighted with how this hilarious, genre-bending show from Chuck, Zak, and Bill has connected with the audience, both devotees of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and new fans alike. Along with everyone else, we can’t wait to see the worlds they conjure for these beloved characters next season.”

The show is created by Chuck Lorre, the mastermind behind “Two and a Half Men.”

Channing Dungey, chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD US Networks, added, “Chuck, Zak, and Bill delivered something truly special with ‘Stuart Fails to Save the Universe’ — a completely original take on one of the most beloved franchises of all time that captures the unique essence that made ‘The Big Bang Theory’ so special,” said Channing Dungey, chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. The news comes after the release of the fourth episode of the show’s first season.

“Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi recently spoke with Lorre and his fellow writers and EPs Bill Prady and Zak Penn about expanding the “Big Bang Theory” universe.

Referencing character comic bookstore owner Stuart Bloom, Chuck called him “the worst possible choice” to focus a show on, he noted, “Being a fan of the underdog… I always pull for the guy that was trying hard but not quite getting there.”

‘Lanterns’ Star Nathan Fillion Says Guy Gardner Is ‘Part of Fabric’ of DC Universe (Exclusive)

Nathan Fillion is reprising his role as Green Lantern Guy Gardner in the new series “Lanterns.”

He talked to “Extra” at the L.A. premiere, reflecting on how Guy has become “a part of the fabric” of the DC Universe.

Nathan said, “We have ‘Superman,’ which we already know. We have the new ‘Superman’ coming out. We have ‘Lanterns.’ We had ‘Peacemaker.’ We already know that much. And now ‘Mr. Miracle’ is coming down the pike. Here’s the thing… I think Guy Gardner is becoming a part of part of the fabric of this universe.”

He added, “If you’re going to be in the universe, Guy Gardner, he’s going to be in the back there somewhere… he’s a mile marker.

Fillion put it this way, “I’m so lucky I get to play these fantastic characters and then they say, ‘Oh, by the way, we're going to throw you in this other show.’ Turns out it rocks.”

We also spoke with Aaron Pierre, who plays Green Lantern John Stewart.

He called it a “dream realized” to be on the show and said, “I’m trying to bottle it so that I can revert back to this feeling later down the road.”

Pierre also talked about the dynamics between John and Hal Jordan, played by Kyle Chandler.

He said, “John and Hal come to realize that they have far more in common than they ever could have imagined and I think that's one of the beautiful takeaways of this.”

“Extra” chatted with Kyle too, who dished on his super hero suit.

“It really is a great suit,” he said. “It’s a fantastic suit. I got to be present from the initial creating of the suit. So, piece by piece, the conversations around me and the only thing they forgot to do is… they forgot to put a zipper in it."

Perez Hilton Treated for Overdose After Livestream, Police Report Reveals

More information is emerging about Perez Hilton’s recent self-harming episode.

According to a Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office incident report obtained by People magazine, Hilton was treated for an overdose after his disturbing livestream earlier this month.

The report noted that once authorities arrived on the scene, the fire rescue team “began treatment on scene for multiple lacerations and an overdose” on Hilton in the living room.

Afterwards, Hilton was taken to a hospital.

Hilton’s sister Barbara Lavandeira spoke with Page Six about the traumatic moment she found the blogger during his alleged suicide attempt.

Hilton, nude, appeared to cut himself with a knife repeatedly during an extended TikTok live session Tuesday, August 4. Worried fans called authorities, who were able to intervene in time to save him from further harm.

Barbara was visiting from California and told the paper, “August 4th will forever be one of the darkest days my family and I have ever experienced.”

Referring to Perez by his real name — Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr. — she said, “That afternoon, Mario was in his bedroom with the door closed and locked, which wasn’t like him. His door was almost always open. When I knocked, he said he was fine, but I could barely hear him. After I knocked a few more times and asked him to open the door, he stopped responding. I tried calling his cell phone in case he couldn’t hear me, but he wouldn’t answer. Something just felt wrong.”

She decided to enter the room and realized he was in the bathroom.

“I knocked several more times and told him I was going to come in if he didn’t open the door,” she said. “He still didn’t answer, so I unlocked it.”

Barbara recalled the horrific scene, saying, “When I opened the door, my nightmare became a reality. Mario was standing in front of the shower, naked, cut up, covered in blood, with a box cutter in his hand.”

She shared, “What I can say with certainty is that I didn’t recognize my brother when I looked at him. I saw it in his eyes. They didn’t look the same. Then, a split second later, he smiled at me. It felt like I was staring at someone else.”

Barbara grabbed Perez’s children Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8, and jumped in the car.

From the car, she called 911, saying, “The first call I made was to the police. Then I messaged my best friend, who lives nearby, while I was on with dispatch, and asked her to please come get the kids and take them away from the scene.”

She said, “Eventually, I was able to go back into the house while I waited for the ambulance and place towels over Mario to help stop the bleeding. He had already lost a significant amount of blood, yet he was somehow still able to speak, although his voice was very faint.”

Page Six reported earlier this week that Perez’s mother Teresita Lavandeira filed for temporary custody of his kids. According to court docs obtained by the paper, Hilton has “voluntarily consented” to the request.

Trainor shared on Instagram, “My sweet 5-year-old boy is having separation anxiety so he’s started using his stuffies, his Smurfette, and was like, ‘This is Mama, this is Mama,’ and I thought, ‘I’ll make a mama, I’ll make a stuffie that looks like Mama.’”

“The thing is, I did,” she said, revealing the blonde doll with glasses, “and he loves it. He kisses it, he hugs it.”

Travis Kelce is making his first comments about his Madison Square Garden wedding to Taylor Swift!

Tyler Duckworth of ‘The Challenge’: New Details of the Reality Star’s Death at 44

There are new details surrounding the death of “The Challenge” star Tyler Duckworth.

The Grand Forks Police Department in North Dakota tells People magazine that officers were dispatched to his apartment at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday after downstairs neighbors reported water coming through the ceiling.

When police arrived, they found the water was coming from the bathtub in Duckworth’s bathroom. That is also where the 44-year-old’s body was found.

His cause of death is unknown as police await the results of an autopsy and toxicology report.

The U.S. Sun previously reported that local officials classified his death as unattended, and noted that Duckworth had recently undergone surgery.

She said, “My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week. Cause of death has yet to be determined. I will post on Facebook about services as soon as his dad and I figure it out.”

Duckworth’s death comes just weeks after he met up with “The Challenge” alums Rachel Robinson, Brad Fiorenza, Tina Barta and Mark Long in Minneapolis.

Earlier this month, he shared photos, writing on Instagram, “@challengemaniapodcast always knows how to bring the BEST of the BEST together!! Shirley Ballas has a front-row seat as the competition heats up on “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro”!

“Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi spoke with Shirley, who is getting to judge alongside her son Mark Ballas, who is a pro on "Dancing with the Stars."

Shirley had been hoping to work with Mark for some time, saying, “I put it out there in the universe that one day, maybe, I would have the opportunity.”

She added, “Just to sit next to Mark and Derek [Hough] on the desk was extraordinary for me, because obviously I’ve trained Mark since he was four and Derek since he was about eight or nine... They're empathetic and they enjoy every single they're seeing, they're putting in a positive light. And it was just a joy, it was a sheer joy."

She noted with a laugh, "Did Mark and I always agree? No. So I was keeping my teaching hat on at the time, not the mother hat."

As for training Derek and Mark, Shirley said, “Living with me was a bit like boot camp because everything has to be right and you’ve got to do the right competitions and you’ve got to be groomed right and you’ve got to have the right qualities and techniques.”

She continued, "But now when I look at them and I see them all doing so well, I'm very proud of that."

Shirley recalled her favorite memory of Derek growing up, sharing, “I’ll tell you, when he got his job on ‘Footloose,’ his first West End show, he was earning an income. And my mom said, ‘I’ll do the books for you, Derek.’ And she was doing all his receipts and then she said to me, ‘Shirley, he’s got no money left. He spent it all on parking tickets and food.’ From a very young age, he really liked nice food and he just parked his car anywhere."

Shirley also teased what’s to come on “DWTS: The Next Pro,” saying, “It has twists and turns that you won’t see coming.”

She explained what she’s looking for in the next pro, saying it involves “their footwork, leg actions, flexibility, fluidity, posture, coordination, armology, and then they have to have chemistry at the end.” She added, "Then they have to be able to teach, and we know what comes with teaching celebrities. You've got to be there for them. So i's quite a difficult job to do."

Shirley has been teaching dance since she was 16.

She noted, “I’ll be 66 in September, so that’s an absolute lifetime of teaching and judging. But I will be catching the footwork if it’s not correct and particularly when they have to start teaching. So, I want to make sure that whoever they dance with has the correct footwork. They’re coordinated. If it’s a ballroom dance, I want to see a little bit of contact.”

She went on, “I’m not after them being world champions, but I am asking that they are able to teach a celebrity. I do believe the American audience deserve that. This show has been going on for two decades, and I think the audience also like to learn a little bit, like to understand what’s going on. So, I really want the professional, whoever that might be, to be first class in every department.”

Shirley serves as a head judge on the U.K.’s “Strictly Come Dancing." Would she like to see U.S. crossover with “Dancing with the Stars”?

She answered, “That would be a dream,” adding, “I would be down because meeting the American public, making sure that I could give quality, you know, really help people on their journey through ‘Dancing with the Stars.’”

Shirley also brought up the late Len Goodman, saying, “Len did it… He used to travel across the waters there.”

Christy Knowings, who starred in the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show “All That,” has died, TMZ reports. She was 46.

According to the site, Christy was hospitalized in L.A. on Friday after suffering an asthma attack.

The attack left her with brain damage. On Tuesday, her family decided to take her off life support and she passed away.

Her “All That” co-star Kenan Thompson shared an Instagram photo of Christy and wrote, "Man this one hit hard!!! Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!! For the haters out there, she said, “The comments calling this ‘karma’ have been especially painful. I wouldn’t wish what my mother, Mario’s children, or our entire family is experiencing on anyone.”

She went on, “Mario has publicly acknowledged the harm he caused earlier in his career. In 2010, he went on network television and admitted that the outings, doodles, and other things he did were wrong, and he has apologized repeatedly.”

Barbara continued, “I’m not asking anyone to forget or excuse any of that. I also understand that some people will always believe he hasn’t done enough, despite his efforts. I’m simply asking people to recognize that he has changed tremendously over the past 20 years and has genuinely tried to become a better person.”

She added, “Whatever anyone thinks about Mario, his children and our mother are innocent. They shouldn’t be punished or tormented because of how people feel about him.”

Teddi Mellencamp is going public with her relationship!

On Wednesday, Mellencamp, 45, took to Instagram to debut her financial analyst boyfriend PJ Conley, 31.

Along with pics from her dad John Mellencamp’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl, Teddi wrote, “First he met a cougar. Then he met The Cougs. #valleyguy aka PJ @pjconleyy #iykyk @two.ts.inapod.”

Teddi and PJ were joined at the concert by several of her close friends.

She added, “Thanks to everyone who came out to support @johnmellencamp last night. It was incredible seeing everyone have the time of their lives.”

On Thursday’s episode of her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, Teddi gushed about PJ, telling guest co-host Dolores Catania, “He’s a nice guy, and he’s funny. He got along effortlessly with the fam, my brother, my sisters.”

Teddi has introduced PJ to her famous dad.

She recalled, “My dad met him but didn’t say anything straight away. He was just like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you, blah, blah, blah.’ I kept it moving.”

According to Teddi, John followed up the next day, asking, “You gonna try to tell me that wasn’t your guy you introduced me to?”

Teddi previously dated producer Ricci Rea, but she confirmed their split a year ago.

She told Erika Jayne on her “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast, “You guys, [the] press needs to get on it a little bit faster because by the time they figured out who my mystery man was, we’re already done. I had to call things off.”

Teddi went on, “All of a sudden, I open up the freaking worldwide web. I’m like, ‘The mystery man.’ Oh, now you guys figured it out.”

The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star went on to explain what happened.

Perez Hilton’s sister Barbara Lavandeira spoke with Page Six about the traumatic moment she found the blogger during his alleged suicide attempt in Miami.

Barbara was visiting from California and told the paper, “August 4th will forever be one of the darkest days my family and I have ever experienced.”

She decided to enter the room and realized he was in the bathroom.

“I knocked several more times and told him I was going to come in if he didn’t open the door,” she said. “He still didn’t answer, so I unlocked it.”

Barbara grabbed Perez’s children Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8, and jumped in the car.

An ambulance then rushed him to the hospital, while she stayed behind with the crisis team.

She added, “Whatever anyone thinks about Mario, his children and our mother are innocent. They shouldn’t be punished or tormented because of how people feel about him.”

Teddi Mellencamp is going public with her relationship!

On Wednesday, Mellencamp, 45, took to Instagram to debut her financial analyst boyfriend PJ Conley, 31.

Along with pics from her dad John Mellencamp’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl, Teddi wrote, “First he met a cougar. Then he met The Cougs. #valleyguy aka PJ @pjconleyy #iykyk @two.ts.inapod.”

Teddi and PJ were joined at the concert by several of her close friends.

She added, “Thanks to everyone who came out to support @johnmellencamp last night. It was incredible seeing everyone have the time of their lives.”

Teddi has introduced PJ to her famous dad.

She recalled, “My dad met him but didn’t say anything straight away. He was just like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you, blah, blah, blah.’ I kept it moving.”

According to Teddi, John followed up the next day, asking, “You gonna try to tell me that wasn’t your guy you introduced me to?”

Teddi previously dated producer Ricci Rea, but she confirmed their split a year ago.

Teddi went on, “All of a sudden, I open up the freaking worldwide web. I’m like, ‘The mystery man.’ Oh, now you guys figured it out.”

The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star went on to explain what happened.

Diddy Released From Solitary Confinement (Report)

Sean “Diddy” Combs is no longer in solitary confinement, TMZ reports.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not confirm Combs’ release from the SHU.

In a statement to Page Six, the department said, “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including housing assignments, nor do we discuss whether a particular inmate is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions.”

It appears that Combs was in solitary confinement for weeks after he was allegedly involved in a fight with another inmate.

In July, TMZ reported that a fight ensued after the inmate dissed Combs.

A source told the outlet that Combs “held his own” in the alleged scuffle, which reportedly began with a push before punches were thrown.

The fight ended after prison staff got involved.

A FCI Fort Dix spokesperson didn’t confirm or deny the incident, telling TMZ, “We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody. Such information would not be available for the public domain.”

In October, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Combs to 50 months, with 14 months considered time served.

Nearly a year ago, Combs was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution (Mann Act Transportation), but not guilty on alleged racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

Combs’ release date keeps changing. For now, he will be freed on February 20, 2028.

Family Feud: The Band Perry’s Neil Perry Claims He Was ‘Terminated’ from Group

Neil Perry, of the Band Perry, is speaking out on Instagram about his ugly exit from the family group.

Neil and his siblings Kimberly and Reid made up the band from 2005-2023, when they took a break as Kimberly focused on her solo career.

The group reunited in 2025 with Kimberly, Reid, and Kimberly’s husband Johnny Costello, but Reid left the group a few months later.

Now, Neil is sharing his side of the story, writing on Instagram, “June 2024 took something from me. Something I had spent my entire life building. A band. A business. A family. A name.”

He went on, “My sister wanted her husband to become a member of the band, taking my brother’s place. I made it equally clear that I was not okay with that.”

Neil insisted, “By then, the situation had become about far more than the lineup. I had witnessed instability and broken trust that fundamentally changed my ability to move forward.”

He went on, “Weeks later, I was terminated. The day after my birthday.”

Neil wrote, “I never expected that my decision not to participate under those circumstances would also mean losing my financial interest and access to the band’s platforms, resources, and audience I had spent my life helping build.”

Kimberly has said in interviews that her brothers were supportive of the band’s relaunch, but Neil wrote, “Then I watched a story emerge that didn’t resemble the one I lived.”

He’s channeling the experience into his new group Wolves of June.

The musician wrote, “The anger became music. The grief became songs. The loss became freedom. June 2024 took the old life. @wolvesofjune is what came next.”

In another Instagram post, Neil laid out the timeline in more detail. He claimed that while initially Reid was not interested in being part of the relaunch, “A few weeks later, Reid rejoined the band through conversations I was not part of, and I was given three days to decide whether I would continue under those circumstances. At the end of that three-day window, I asked for a conversation the following week and was told I was out of time.”

He went on, “I was approached again a month later, but I could not move forward under those circumstances. At that point I understood that continuing to tour was no longer realistically an option for me and I would soon be forced out by the 2/3 partnership agreement. What I did not agree to was losing my financial interest and access to the resources and business I had spent my life helping build.”

Neil added, “Shortly after the band signed a label deal, my brother left the band. What remained is my sister and her husband.”

In another post, Neil shared a video of himself taking a seat in a chair in front of shelves of awards.

He included the text. “Preparing for my Netflix documentary about how the Band Perry went from three siblings to my sister and her husband.”

The Band Perry has not responded to Neil’s claims.

While speaking with Rolling Stone’s “Nashville Now” in February, Kimberly spoke about a comeback show she did with Reid and Johnny in 2024 after Hurricane Helene hit her community in Greenville, Tennessee.

She said at the time that Neil was working on a solo project and couldn’t join.

Kimberly said playing with Reid and Johnny felt right and they started to play more shows and write, but, “Ultimately, timing didn’t work out for all of us. Reid is definitely loving his life in the [Joshua Tree] desert and is super interested in artist management… and Johnny and I… I want to be on the road.”

When asked if Neil and Reid gave their blessing, she said, “I think they are very interested in the Band Perry getting landed as well. We are so proud… of the past that we shared and I think it has just been about where it goes in the future.”

She added, “Everything we built was so magical and so beautiful and I’m going to go land this with the same integrity as I started it with and there is always and open seat for a brother in the band if they ever want to tour.”

Nicole Kidman, 59, is reflecting on her high-profile marriage to ex Tom Cruise in a new interview with British Vogue.

While talking about her life in the spotlight, she said, “Because of who I married at such a young age, I was thrust into it since I was 22.”

Kidman, who was married to Tom from 1990-2001, went on to say, “Yeah, I got married so young. Suddenly I was 22, 23 years old and I had this huge movie star husband. But it just seemed completely natural. We just fell madly in love and it was that simple. I remember people saying to me, ‘Okay, well this is really going to affect your career.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t care. I’m in love. I want to be married.’ And then I was his ‘wife’ and they were like, ‘See, we told you.’ I’m like, ‘So what? I wasn’t meant to marry the man I love? Of course I’ll throw my career away. I don’t care.’”

After the split, Nicole went on to wed Keith Urban, but they broke up last year after 19 years of marriage.

The Oscar winner told the magazine she’s processing it with a “feelings first” approach.

“I’ve approached my whole life like that,” she said. “That’s just who I am. I don’t overthink things and I’m probably not that analytical. I’m far more feeling-centred and I lead with my heart. I just go, ‘Okay, what do I feel here? I’ll give it a go.’ It throws people, because I think they think I’ll be far more measured and I’m not.”

Kidman went on, “I can still approach things intellectually, but my desire is not to be ruled by my head. I’ve always wanted to live a well-examined life, so what does that entail? Trying things, making mistakes, failing, getting back up, moving on, embracing love, staying open, keeping the heart open and the possibilities.”

The past year hasn’t been easy, but she said, “But at the same time I’m like, ‘Okay, I didn’t expect this. I had a different view of what my life was going to be, but this is what it is now.’ You make all these plans and you have all these ideas of what it’s all going to be like and then it’s… not. You have to adjust. You adapt. The future, it’s completely unknown to me right now.”

Nicole did enjoy a Euro summer, visiting London, Ibiza, Paris, and Portofino.

“It’s a small dinner party or it’s a rave,” she dished. “I’m either playing Scrabble or I’m out. It’s that simple,” she added with a laugh.

On rave nights, she said, “Dinner at 10:30 p.m., club at 1 a.m. I’ll put on glasses. Sometimes I’ll wear a wig to hide, a little dark wig, and then I can just dance. As long as I’m surrounded by people — like, I take people with me — then I’m fine. I need it.”
