Monster Encoder is a complete application that converts the most common types of video files into FLV format, so the end user can use them in the video streaming process. This particular flash video encoder has some features that make it distinctive:

• This video encoder is the fastest from all similar software existing on the market. We have developed a multithreading technique that allows our clients to convert files dozens of times faster then before.

• It converts all major types of movie files (AVI, MOV, MPG 1, MPG 2, MPG 4, WMV) into flash format. This is the necessary step in order to stream the files.

• Monster Encoder is able to convert AVI, MOV, MPG 1, MPG 2, MPG 4, WMV and FLV files into any format you want, including iPOD and iPhone files.

• You can upload as many video files as you want, because we do not restrict the number of files.

• Also, Monster Encoder does not have any size limitations for the movies you want to convert.

• You can use Monster Encoder to post a logo on your video offering you a subtle way to emphasize your brand and to elegantly mark your presentation.

• You can upload files with an unlimited variety of screen resolutions and aspect ratios.

• You have the possibility to customize your player so that it would fit your presentation the best.

Monster Encoder guarantees that your high quality videos can be viewed by all your friends, whether they are using Microsoft Windows, Apple OSX or Linux operating systems.

You can convert video files to the advanced Flash Video format. The procedure is very simple: you just have to upload your files on the server and wait until our flash video encoder is doing its job. Read how you can do that HERE.

The friendly interface will make the job easier for you. If you choose to purchase Monster Encoder, you don’t have to worry anymore about the fact that when you send video files, your receiver won’t be able to play them because it doesn’t have the appropriate codec. With Monster Encoder, codecs aren’t necessary anymore. You can see below a few HD samples encoded with the Monster Encoder application:

MORE MONSTER ENCODER HD SAMPLES

Monster Encoder is one of the fastest applications of its kind. We developed a multithreading technique in order to dramatically decrease the conversion time. After you start uploading your file, you’re job is finished. All you have to do is waiting until the flash video encoder will do its job and when it finishes you will receive an email to notify you that your file has been converted. All the converted files can be played right away on PCs, MACs and cell phones. You can have a look at this TUTORIAL to understand how it works.

A digital signage solution needs a few hardware components to be able to deliver the content. The most common configuration includes a display screen , a media player and a content management server. The connection from the media player to the display screen is usually via VGA, DVI, HDMI or Component video connection and the one between the media player and the content server is via a Ethernet connection. IPTV technology allows digital signage to be used as a broadcasting method. In this case the content is being distributed using a playlist controlled by the digital signage content management server.

TikiLIVE Channel Manager Digital Signage solution can be used virtually everywhere. Retailers may now coordinate the daily or weekly specials with the on-screen messaging in the store or kiosk.

Use your network of in-store TVs to promote “what’s new” and coming up. Build a satellite network of digital TVs to entertain and advertise movie trailers or feature films. Fast food operators can now easily program digital menu boards to motivate sales and educate the viewers on nutritional information.

Use plasma screens to display at the checkout counter to inform customers on sales and entertain customers while waiting in line. Every location such as your local bank or your doctor’s waiting room instantly becomes readily available high traffic locations ready to host a digital display network. They inform, educate, entertain and promote products and services relevant to any venue.

MARATHON, FLORIDA, May 11, 2010

Broadcasting LIVE HD video from your Desktop has been a challenge to media professionals, broadcasting networks and corporate businesses worldwide. Eyepartner has developed a product called “The HD Wave” that runs on inexpensive off-the-shelf PC’s. The HD Wave makes it easy for anyone to broadcast streams in HD, up to 60 frames per second, with a simple to use click-and-stream interface.

The HD Wave Broadcaster, based on a patent pending streaming technology, requires no proprietary hardware. It was designed to easily broadcast all video or static content originating on the user’s hard drive, connected capture device, camera, video, audio mixers as well as other sources. Uses include broadcasting game tournaments, iPTV stations, LIVE Events, world premier movies, live concerts, faith based services or corporate events.

Professional movie makers, broadcasters and enthusiast alike now have the ability to broadcast their HD media across multiple Web and mobile devices; quickly, easily and without purchasing proprietary hardware.

So, how does it work? Eyepartner offers a simple downloadable application designed for the Windows operating systems. Once the user starts the application viewers are directed to join the live broadcast via a player that is embedded within a unique URL or HTML5 compatible device. The user may elect to broadcast a video stream or a portion of the desktop including applications and streaming content. The HD Wave is compatible with most external capture devices that connect to the PC.

Try out the BETA version at TikiLIVE.com

Skype calls may be integrated within the audio and video stream of the broadcast as well. All broadcasts may be recorded and saved as video on demand content for later distribution or editing.

Simple “how-to” tutorials walk users through the broadcasting process with simple step-by-step instructions. The HD Wave is to be made available through various OEM channel partners, distributors and CDN’s.

YouTube is still thinking about the rental service which has been in beta testing for some while. It is currently working with a small selection of videos but according to Hunter Walk the website will offer the option to charge rental fees for uploaded content. This is interesting as YouTube goes to the pay per view model rather than relying on advertising. This way users will be able to monetize their content directly by setting a price for the submitted content. Still it’s not sure if the end user will be able to set a specific price or what kind of control over pricing will be given.

We don’t know as many details as we wanted to know about this, neither if the service will be available for all users or just for a restricted public as it happened with the Partner Program. Also can this be a threat for Netflix’s Watch Instantly solution? One major advantage on Netflix is that you only pay a monthly subscription and get a lot of content while here is a pay per event model. You can see a short movie with more details about the YouTube’s renting project here:

InstantAction recently launched an innovative way to play and share video games online. Their new platform allows users to instantly play and embed video games as you usually do with YouTube videos. This way you don’t need to download any content on your computer then install: the games are embedded into different supported browsers after you created a profile and logged in. The games seems like they are live streams but actually your computer’s hardware is doing the trick.

A similar service has been launched by OnLIVE and at that time I wrote a REVIEW about how the solution works. But OnLIVE is different because all the processing is done on their servers then the stream is pushed back into a video player.

The Secret of Monkey Island is the first game running with InstantAction and you can see in the following video how you can embed it on Facebook. You can play it for about 20 minutes then you are being asked to purchase the full game and seems like this model will apply for the further releases.

InstantAction says the platform is very fast and you can play 2 or 3 GB games using a 5Mbps internet connection without experiencing lag problems or waiting to download the entire game. For the moment only PC owners can use it as the Mac version is not supported yet. Developers may be very happy with this service: they can charge for premium games or add time limited trials to promote their work. Here is Louis Castle (InstantAction CEO) talking about the concept:

So what do you think about this ? Seems like the online gaming industry has more potential than we ever imagined as a lot of new developments are still to come.
Skyfire makes Flash video possible for Android devices as they announced the Skyfire 2.0 browser. The new app converts Flash videos to H.264 via their servers then pushes the content to the mobile devices. What’s interesting is that Skyfire’s servers are automatically adjusting the video resolution so the video will be displayed according to your phone’s screen size and network speed to get the best video streaming quality.

“Skyfire on Android uses cloud-computing technology to enable this web video; the benefits include faster and smoother video playback, and extended battery life by offloading more of the work to cloud servers” , CEO Jeff Glueck stated. You can see below the concept’s presentation:

Users will be able to display the content as on a full desktop browser or optimized for the mobile device. The explore option allows you to browse videos from YouTube or search related media on Google or Twitter and then share. The application is free to download in the Android version (version 2.0 beta) and is also available for Nokia and Windows Mobile phones in version 1.5. It doesn’t support Windows Media, Quicktime or Silverlight streaming at the moment (Silverlight seems to be the next step) but we may expect some improvements in the future. Multitouch zooming is also available as you can see in the following video demoing the app:

Skyfire has some limitations: it won’t actually work with all the Flash based videos and sometimes it crashes. Even more you are not able to play Flash games so it’s not really a full solution to view Flash content on the mobile devices. But it’s for sure a good step ahead. We are still waiting for a way to do that.
