Answer for this: Sandboxie

Sandboxie is a sandbox-type isolation software for the Microsoft Windows operating system. It creates a "container" in which programs can be safely launched without modifying the host's OS.

Sandboxie runs your programs in an isolated space which prevents them from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your computer.

Ok, how to use it with trial software?

I will try it with a game (1 hour trial), Parking Dash

First create new sandbox.

I named mine as Parking Dash.

Right click on installer and select “run sandboxed”

Install the game.

Play as long as you like (or till key expires). When the key expire, copy save files of the game from sandboxie explorer. Delete the contents of the old sandboxed game.

Install the game again, past your copied save files, continue playing. (Or you can just delete everything except game folder and save folder - , then continue playing).

Keep:

C:\Sandbox\Tahsin\ParkingDash\drive\C\Program Files\Parking Dash

and (save folder)

C:\Sandbox\Tahsin\ParkingDash\user\current\Application Data\PlayFirst\parking-dash

Delete everything else

Note: Sandboxie can be used free of charge for as long as desired, with an option to pay a one-time charge for upgraded features.

Note2: Some software may not be compatible with sandboxie.

Note3:Sandboxie does not run under the 64-bit editions of Windows Vista

Note4: There is also an old trick for trial softwares. Change the system date before installing to some future time.

2. Find empty folders. Some programs will leave empty folders even if you uninstall them. This option will scan your drives for empty folders and afterwards will list them for you to delete them selectively or all.

Fixing iTunes 8 installation errors

If you encounter error messages while installing iTunes with/or Quicktime such as “"the installer encountered errors before…" here is a solution for you:
Open iTunes installation file with an archiver program such as 7zip. (File / Open Inside, choose iTunes.exe)

Extract two files from the iTunes8Setup file; QuickTime.msi and iTunes.msi, and save them in a local folder.
(If you have problems with extracting these files you can just download the latest version (8.2.1) of iTunes.msi from here and QuickTime from here)
Open a command prompt window (Win + R), navigate to that folder, and run the following command:

”Quicktime.msi /passive“

After you completed installing quicktime, open command prompt again, navigate to the folder where iTunes.msi is and run
“iTunes.msi /passive”
command.

That also will save your time from uninstalling AppleSoftwareUpdate, AppleMobileDeviceSupport, Bonjour and MobileMe.

I have over 4000 mp3 on my hard disk. And i dont like burning mp3s to DVD with missing tags.

Most of my mp3s come from offline satellite download and they came as

You have to rename them one by one according to their tags. But what if some dont have tags.

There is an excellent solution for both problems: MusicBrainz Picard. It uses acoustic fingerprint and existing tags to identify your mp3s.

How to use it:

First adjust the program to your needs.

I enabled embedding cover images to tags and renaming file names.

Under 'View' enable 'File Browser'.
Select a directory or files and drag them to the Unmatched Files folder.

Start with opening individual music files or directories by dragging them into the left-hand pane. The tagger will read the metadata from each of the files and unless they have been tagged before, the files will be deposited into the "Unmatched files" folder. Files that have been tagged before and contain the MusicBrainz track identifier will be opened up as releases in the right-hand pane.

Once the tagger finishes processing the files, press the "Cluster" button (white square with 'clusters' on them). This will cause the tagger to attempt to group the files into album clusters by examining the metadata read from the files and clustering files that appear to belong to the same album. Files that are not matched into album clusters will remain in the "Unmatched files" folder. In future the tagger will automatically cluster the files when it has finished reading the metadata from the files.

If your existing files do not have an album tag, click on unmatched files to select all remaining files then click scan. All the matching tags will be shown on right pane. You only have to select the matching files and click save.

Clear Past Items from the Notification Area

Some programs put references in taskbar. Their references will stay in taskbar history even if you uninstall them.

When you open Taskbar Properties to customize, there are two sections: Current Items and Past Items.

How do you clear the Past Items?

Open regedit from start /run (Win + R)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify

Delete the IconStreams and PastIconsStream values from the registry key.

Then open Task Manager, click the Processes tab, click Explorer.exe, and then click End Process. In Task Manager, click File, click New Task, type explorer, and then click OK.

I found a super easy way to save windows updates.

First you download and install the program. Then choose your windows language in updates list.

Select the file appropiate to your windows version. When presented with the option to open or save, simply open the UL and it will automatically install itself in the WUD program folder.

My prefferred torrent client uTorrent has been updated to 1.8.

Currently my system has 512mb RAM, so i expect most programs to use the least memory possible. And uTorrent is great about it. It is only 260kb and does what a torrent client is supposed to do.
