This fashionista get together will feature models styled in pop of pink by the one and only Indie Queen host, Valerie Duardo. There will also be a trunk show featuring pieces from local designers Mandalynn, RDO, Fake Frivolity, and Pop-Up Vintage Boutique Shopbar, all in addition to styling be Heather Hannon. This fashion filled event will be hosted by Valerie Duardo, Kat Turner, Cristina Menendez, Mariana Loumiet, Emma Lucia Jauregui, and Ninoska Osorio. Infinite Appeal Hosts Annual Fashion Show at Georgia State University

Infinite Appeal will be hosting its annual spring fashion show entitled “Reign” at the Georgia State University Sports Arena in downtown Atlanta on April 7 at 7pm.

With over 2,000 guests in attendance at their fashion show last spring, Infinite Appeal looks to increase that number this year. Infinite Appeal has also partnered up with three other campus organizations, Spotlight Programs Board, the Residence Hall Association, and the Black Student Alliance to produce and promote this event. This year they have hosted three awareness programs, a clothing drive, and have released three promotional videos via YouTube, one titled Reign.

Creative Director Charity Harris said, “I can’t give too much away, but just know that ‘Reign’ will be our most innovative show to date.”

President Jill Keyes said, “We are beyond excited to share with everyone our hard work, talents, and creativity, and cannot wait for the public to see what we’ve put together.”

Tickets go on sale the day of the show and can only be purchased at the door.

Infinite Appeal is a student run, community service-based, fashion and modeling organization at Georgia State University dedicated to reaching out to its community through fashion shows, volunteering, self-esteem programs, and scholar ship funds.

But when you live in Miami it’s hard to escape the thick humidity and thus frizzy rat-nests versus bouncing curls I should be experiencing on my head. Thankfully ghd “good hair day” has introduced their new air professional hairdryer. ghd recently launched their new Gold Series range of stylers in 3 sizes and was named the ultimate styling gadget in the Readers kiss of approval Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards 2011 for the ninth year in a row. In February of 2011 ghd was awarded Best Hair Styler for the 8th year in a row at the InStyle Beauty Awards. So for my curly-haired companions: there is hope for us. With the help of a diffuser you can have frizz-free locks all day long.

For everyone else with the help of a round brush and a hairdryer you can have successful waves. With a squirt of sea salt and silk shine you’ll make your hair glossy and healthy. Now I know we all have those days where styling your hair simply isn’t going to happen, so my solution for those bhd’s “bad hair day’s” we have the top-knot. Made popular by Susie Bubble the top knot is an easy and stylish solution to bhd’s. Just flip your hair upside down, comb until you get ride of most of the knots and everything is pulled tight, twist your hair until it’s as tight as it can be, and twist into a bun/knot. Secure with bobby pins or hair bow.
