On October 18, 2012, credit union members around the world will celebrate International Credit Union Day, an event to commemorate the credit union movement’s impact and achievements. In honor of this special day, FORUM Credit Union invites its members and the whole community to its branches for a Member Appreciation Day. Stop by for refreshments, a Free Credit Check and Analysis, and receive a $25 gift card for taking out a Member Appreciation Loan.

We just wrapped up our new commercials titled “The People Have Spoken,” and hopefully you will be seeing them on TV soon. The spots feature people sharing what they want out of a bank like “I just want a bank that lets me reach them however I want.” The end highlights that it sounds like they just want a bank that isn’t (a bank).

FORUM Credit Union Recognized as a Best Place to Work

Companies with prestigious workplace practices were recognized on Thursday, May 3 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. The organization unveiled rankings for a total of 70 companies from throughout the state that made the 2012 Best Places to Work in Indiana list. Top companies in the state are determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. Winners were selected from two categories: small to medium-sized companies of between 15 and 249 U.S. employees, and large-sized companies consisting of 250 or more employees nationwide. The Best Companies Group handles the selection process and this is the seventh year for the Best Places to Work in Indiana program.

FORUM Credit Union was honored to be ranked number 13 under the large-sized company category. Doug True, CEO of FORUM Credit Union, stated, “I’m proud to work for FORUM and more importantly, I am honored to work with people who care about our members, our business, and one another. I’m thankful to be part of the FORUM team and for the employees who make this organization a special place to work. Now all of Indiana knows what we already knew – FORUM is a great place to work!”

All companies that participated in the 2012 Best Places to Work program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees. In turn, this report can be used in developing or enhancing employee retention and recruitment programs.

New Online Banking System and Mobile Apps at FORUM Credit Union

Indianapolis, Indiana, March 7, 2012 - FORUM Credit Union released its newly enhanced online banking system (CU Online) today. The system was internally developed by FORUM’s Technology Group based on member feedback and the need for enhanced functionality and additional features. Included in this enhancement are personal financial management (PFM) tools that will help members manage and monitor their money. Members are able to create budgets, assign categories to their transactions, and choose cash flow accounts to build their spending charts. In addition, customizable and real time alerts via text or email are available. This new version places emphasis on easy workflow for common tasks and is user-friendly.

New CU Online Coming Soon!

FORUM's new CU Online will go live on Wednesday, March 7th. As previously mentioned, it will have exciting new features (like real-time text alerts and budgeting charts) as well as a few changes. One specific change will involve the security. Authentication will be based on your username and password as it is currently, but the 2nd layer of authentication will be based on the use of a cookie (the site will remember what browser it is being accessed from). If you prefer not to use the cookie, you can receive an email or text with a special code to login each time.

In conjunction with the new CU Online release, FORUM will also introduce updated iPhone and Android mobile online banking applications. These new applications feature a variety of tools including a view of all personal accounts with a transaction history of each, Bill Pay, budgeting tools, ability to make transfers, CU Online secure email, and alert management. The apps have been submitted to these markets and should hopefully be available on March 7^th, but it could vary based on when the markets approve these apps.

When you access FORUM’s main CU Online login page from most mobile devices, you’ll automatically be redirected to the non-Flash site, which is mobile compatible. You’ll notice a few slight changes when you view CU Online from your mobile device. This allows for better display due to the small screen size. Please take note of a few features that may NOT work on your mobile device: DeposZip, Bill Pay, PDFs (for eStatements, Loan Statements, etc.), some text documents, and the link to fee descriptions.
