#Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez to play Thursday

Barring a serious setback to his injured toe, Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez is expected to play during Thursday Night #Football against the New Orleans #Saints. Gonzo has only missed one game in the past decade. He is listed as questionable for the game and was able to play through the injury last week. He caught seven passes for 63 yards in that game.

Who's in and who's out of the early games in Week 11

This week's rundown of the early game injuries pretty much focuses on one team, the Atlanta #Falcons. That's because tight end Tony Gonzalez and wide receiver Harry Douglas are listed as questionable. Past that, we'll keep an eye on Michael Floyd and Martellus Bennett, but there's not a whole lot else to track this morning, which I guess is a good thing. If we see any updates on Vernon Davis, Shane Vereen, Percy Harvin or anyone else before the early kickoffs, we'll pass it along. Keep updating this post until 1 p.m. Eastern for all of your Sunday morning injury updates.
-- According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Percy Harvin will play about 15 snaps today versus the #Vikings. I have no doubt that some of those snaps will include plays drawn up specifically for him, but that low number undoubtedly makes Harvin a very risky WR3. Consider your other options.
-- #Eagles QB Michael Vick is inactive. The Eagles keep listing him as questionable due to his hamstring injury, but he won't play again for the Eagles, barring injury, with how well Nick Foles is performing.
-- Good news for Matt Ryan: The Falcons have both TE Tony Gonzalez and WR Harry Douglas active. Both were questionable, and Gonzalez was a true game-time decision. However, he is still a TE1 and worth starting versus the Bucs. Douglas is a WR3, but one with a really nice matchup as Darrelle Revis will be tied up with Roddy White.
-- Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that as long as #49ers TE Vernon Davis doesn't suffer a setback before today's game versus the #Saints, he will play. With that being known, I think Davis is a fairly safe start. He needs to be deployed if he's active.
-- #Lions WR Calvin Johnson is ready to roll against the #Steelers. WR Nate Burleson is inactive, as expected. However, he might return from his broken arm in Week 12.
-- #Cardinals WR Michael Floyd is active despite being listed as questionable with a shoulder sprain. He is a middling WR3 today versus the #Jaguars.
-- Jaguars WRs Cecil Shorts and Mike Brown are active. Brown is a desperation start, but Shorts should see a bunch of targets, even though he will see a lot of CB Patrick Peterson. He is a solid WR3.
-- #Jets TE Kellen Winslow has served his four-game suspension. He and fellow Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland are not worth starting against the #Bills.
-- #Ravens WR Marlon Brown is inactive due to the knee injury that landed him on the injury report late in the week. It's going to be tough for the #Bears or the Ravens to throw today with wind gusts up to 60 MPH.
-- As expected, Jets WR Santonio Holmes is active for the first time since Week 4 today. He'll be on a snap count, so he's not worth putting in your lineup versus the Bills.
-- #Redskins WR Josh Morgan is inactive. He is a healthy scratch. He has 11 catches in nine games this season.
-- As expected, #Browns RB Willis McGahee is active. I want nothing to do with him. He has no juice left in those legs.
-- #Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham is active after missing last week's game due to a strained hamstring. He is only a TE2 versus the Browns today in stormy Cincinnati.
-- Bears TE Martellus Bennett is active despite missing some practice time due to a bad ankle. He was listed as questionable. He is not a good play in windy Chicago versus the Ravens.
-- In another late-game note, Vikings QB Christian Ponder is expected to start today versus the #Seahawks. Expect him to hand it off to Adrian Peterson 25+ times against a defense that hasn't been all that great versus the run lately. The Vikings' passing game is hands off for fantasy purposes.
-- #Texans RB Ben Tate will continue to play through his cracked ribs. He is a solid RB2 versus the #Raiders today.
-- Jets WR Stephen Hill is active, but he's not worth your time in a bad-weather game in Buffalo.

#Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez, WR Harry Douglas officially questionable for Sunday

Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez and wide receiver Harry Douglas both returned to practice Friday after missing Thursday's session. Staying with the similarities, both players were limited in the practice and are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the #Buccaneers. Gonzalez has been battling a toe injury all week while Douglas suffered some sort of knee injury recently.

#Buccaneers want WR Vincent Jackson to get more touches

A #Football team wants its best offensive player to touch the ball as much as possible. Sounds simple enough, but the Buccaneers have had a tough time accomplishing that feat wit wide receiver Vincent Jackson recently. Jackson racked up a combined five catches for 39 yards in his last two games. That just can't continue, according to head coach Greg Schiano.
quot;We need to make sure [Jackson] gets his touches because he's a dynamic player," Schiano said earlier this week. "You're talking about a Pro Bowl player.
"And, certainly, with the loss of some (of our) weapons offensively, defenses are really going to key on him now. That's a fact of life. But get over it and find a way to get him the ball. That's what we have to do."

#Falcons RB Jason Snelling won't play Sunday following marijuana arrest

Falcons running back Jason Snelling missed practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury. He missed practice again on Friday for something completely different, and it will keep him out of Sunday's game against the #Buccaneers.
Snelling was arrested early Friday morning and charged with possession of marijuana ndash; less than one ounce, possession of drug related materials, expired or no driver's license, failure to maintain lane, failure to maintain insurance, improper use of dealer license plate and no registration.
Head coach Mike Smith said Saturday that Snelling will take some time off to handle his situation and not play this weekend.

#Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez, WR Harry Douglas looking questionable for Sunday

The Falcons' offense is already missing Julio Jones. Roddy White is still working his way back to full health after a season filled with injuries. And the hits just keep on coming in Atlanta. Tight end Tony Gonzalez and wide receiver Harry Douglas didn't practice Thursday.
Gonzalez suffered a toe injury that sidelined him briefly in Week 10 and left him limping after the game. He also didn't practice on Wednesday. Gonzalez hasn't missed a game since 2006.
Douglas was a late add to the injury report after he unexpectedly missed practice Thursday due to a knee injury. Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com guessed that Douglas must have tweaked his knee during Wednesday's session. Douglas had not been on the injury report this season prior to Thursday.

Bucs RB Mike James fractured left ankle

Tampa Bay #Buccaneers running back Mike James fractured his left ankle during Monday night's win over the Miami #Dolphins and will be out indefinitely. The rookie had already rushed for 41 yards on only five carries before the injury. Last week, he touched the ball 30 times for 166 total yards. Moving forward, RBs Brian Leonard and Bobby Rainey will be the primary ball-carriers for Tampa Bay.

#Buccaneers plan to go with RB timeshare moving forward

With Doug Martin already ruled out for the season, and Mike James perhaps also landing on injured reserve very soon, the Buccaneers are down to their third- and fourth-string running backs, Brian Leonard and Bobby Rainey. Leonard was the clear leader against the #Dolphins, out-touching Rainey 22-9. But head coach Greg Schiano said after his team's first win Monday that the two runners will likely split carries for a while.
quot; That's probably how we'll have to go -- ham and egging with those two guys and see what we can do," Schiano said."
