Complete details will not be released as to how much we are spending, but I can tell you that Mark and Dann will have us pulling in traffic throughout the next three months off of some solid key words!

Our goal is to not only bring in more traffic, but also to add new members to register for the community, and to continue to find people that seek to be educated on the stock market.

Currently we are adding about 100 new members every week, with about 2,500 registered members total.

VBlogetin - “Blogs for everyone!”

After a good deal of planning and innovating, it was decided that allowing members to have their own individual blogs right here on the FIO site would be a very positive addition. Though time will allow for new purposes to present themselves, the initial reasons for motivating members to have blogs include: education, self fulfillment, and promotion.

Our brand new education program is under development, and is set for community release late this week or next week. We hope members use their own blogs as personal trade journals, sharing not only the lessons they learn as they go, but the successes they achieve as they begin to trade. And for those who already trade regularly, we hope they utilize a personal blog to share their work, successes, and insight into the stock market. Lastly, for those who already have blogs, we can import your content from your current blog, which allows it to be shared throughout the community.

How big of a role member blogs play down the road is up for the community decide. I honestly hope though that every member finds a good use for their own blog. I’ll provide the tools, and you make it happen.

What should you expect to read?

Q: What do you follow normally (Speaking in regards to the market)?

A: I just read the news and see how stocks react. I like to follow how stocks react to political issues. I think those might be fairly predictable.

Q: what you think about the oil deal in relation to Iran’s nuclear program?

A: Oil is too risky right now, I mean not risky as in it might drop too much, moreso just risky as in the variance is high. if you buy and make a stop, you could be right but the stop might very easily get hit. It’s just gonna fluctuate in the near future I think.

Q: So you feel that the sidelines are a better place to be right now for oil?

A: Yes, I didn’t look at how much options cost, but maybe a straddle betting on a big move up or down might be worth it.

Q: Where do you go to school currently?

A: Western Virginia University. I have one more year left.

Q: What is your major? Any plans after graduation?

A: Mechanical engineering with a minor in math, going to grad school after I graduate most likely.

Q: What do you like most about the FIO?

A: The % of members who know what they’re talking about is a lot higher than other sites I think. The forums are very nice, and newbies can learn a lot by reading them; that’s how I started. I really see FIO growing to be something.

Speaking of growth, thanks to some suggestions within the community, we have added a new area, “Reviews!” which is an area dedicated to member reviews on stock/investing books, software, trading tools, and even online brokers. It should be a great addition to the Falkin Investing Organization, and I personally look forward to seeing what community member review. Who knows, perhaps it will be utilized as a tool for members down the road?
