Hardballs Records has released Drum Kit Flanger, a free collection of drum samples collected by Ray Flanger (HBR label artist. He collected the best drum samples that he used in his productions these years. All samples are in WAV, NI Kontakt and Logic Pro EXS24 formats.

Flager Drum Kit contain 32 drum hits that Ray use in his production last two years and now you need just skim the cream off. Samples was precisely edited and packed for most popular samplers.

I love snare, clap, and couple of kicks, also noteworthy sound effects. Included NI Kontakt / Kompakt, EXS24 patches and WAV files so you can use it with you favorite DAW like a Logic Pro, Cubase, Pro Tools, Ableton Live and any other.

Bob Legitt has released Classic-H VSTi and Skanksta VSTi, two free VST organ instruments for Windows OS.

Classic-H VSTi

The Classic-H provides the essence of an old tonewheel organ within the VST environment. This VSTi captures the distinctive personality of a classic Hammond/Leslie combination, as well as simulating twin manual operation across a single MIDI keyboard, using a variable key-split function. Thirty extremely cool presets provide a jumping-off point for almost every type of music, from the 'Full Throb' of old time soul to the screaming distortion of Deep Purple-type rock. It does gobble CPU, but it has the sounds, and it doesn't cost a penny.

Skanksta VSTi

The Skanksta is a ska-orientated VST organ, designed to produce a light and bright sound which will fit in well with quite a number of quirky and/or rhythmic music styles. It’s essentially a Vox Continental II with animation provided by a rotary speaker rather than a vibrato unit, and selectable key-splitting to simulate two manuals across a single MIDI keyboard. The key-splitting is particularly important for reggae-derived styles, where the left hand part will typically contrast sharply in tone with the right hand.

Waveformless has released Distrorted Claps, a set of 50 free clap samples in WAV format.

Today's free sample pack consists of 50 distorted clap samples. All sounds were sources from the same 808 clap sound and then mangled in Ohm Force's wonderful Ohmicide plug-in.

Released in 1982, Roland's SH-101 is famous both for its look - it could be strapped-on, keytar style - and sound.

Charlatan VSTi updated to version 1.1.4

BlauKraut has released an updated version fo Charlatan, an already famous freeware VSTi synth plugin for Windows OS.

In parallel to these maintenance updates, I’ve been working on a complete rewrite of the synth engine using hand-optimized SSE code. Especially with polyphonic patches, this reduces CPU usage by more than 60% ! I’d say the rewrite is ~80% completed and I don’t expect serious issues for the remaining 20%. However, due to the nature of such large scale code rewrite, this needs extensive testing to avoid regressions.

Charlatan v1.1.4 features:

Revision of the 4-pole ladder filter implementation. Placement of nonlinearities as in the original circuit.
New switch 2OCT for Osc2: double detune range (+/-2 octaves).
90 degree phase shift of Osc2 square wave relative to Osc1 (only when sync is inactive). Emulates behavior of sub-oscs of Roland synths.
If Osc1 is set to noise, the ring mod input from Osc1 is now the rectangle signal rather than noise.
Reduced max. filter key tracking from 200% to 100%..
LFO delay parameter was completely hosed (10x the displayed value!) Fixed.
Handle LFO delay time on samplerate change. Fixed.
Doubled max. LFO delay time (10s -> 20s). Fixed.
Additional Minor tweaks and fixes.

ReAction Soundset- 44 Sawer Presets

Che released ReAction Soundset, a free sound set for Image Line's Sawer VST instrument.

The sound set contains 44 presets. There are available leads, arps, synths, etc. There are no basses inside.

To load these sounds in Sawer paste all the presets in your Sawer presets folder which usually is located here: C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 10\Plugins\Fruity\Generators\Sawer\Presets

On Che's site there are available also free presets for ZETA+ 2, Alchemy, Gladiator, Largo etc.

Rubbadub VST

++Audio released Rubbadub, a free VST delay effect plug-in designed with versatility in mind. Rubbadub is for Windows and Mac.

As a dub delay, it can be tempo synced and offers a state variable filter in the feedback line. At the lowest extremes of delay line lengths, Rubbadub becomes a through-zero flanger with a variety of modulation options. Time is split up into three modes (H, M, L) to provide detailed control over delay time, and even finer control is possible with the command key. When modulation is pushed to the limit your sound transforms into a rubbery gelatinous substance that defies description.

Rubbadub is available for free download via ++Audio's site. There are available also Smear, a granulation effect and CrazyVerb- split-spectrum reverb, both free.

-Standard

The effect of this parameter is diffrent for each Type,
please try to variety of settings.

Bias:

Configuring asymmetric diversity(+, -) of distortion.
More symmetric distortion is produced to sliding the more left,
or more asymmetric to sliding the more right.
Tipically asymmetric distortion produces even-ordered overtones ascendancy,
tend to warmer sound.

Master:

Adjusting the final gain after distortion process.

HG Fortune has released The Tiger Synthesizer, a virtual instrument in pro and free versions.

The Tiger Synth is a highly versatile and flexible synthesizer being capable of complex multilayered sounds with some specific extras from the Aux oscillators, as well as groovy rhythmic sounds you would hardly expect from a synth, and, if you want, fairly typical synth sounds (brass, bass, strings PPG, DX, lead etc.).

There are a lot of modulation options, and, even more there is an easy way to integrate 'hardwired' controllers like joysticks, touchpads or ribbons via the 4 UCC knobs (User assignable MIDI CC) which can be selected as mod sources too. Alongside with Aftertouch, Velocity and Modwheel you have many options for realtime interaction at performing live

Two 16 step Rhythmic Pattern Gators (RPG) and a 16 Step Modulator can turn pads into complex rhythmic sounds. ToneBoosters has released TB OmniSone, a free extended panning and spatial diffusion processor for flexible processing of spatial sound source attributes.

TB OmniSone is a zero-latency VST plugin to (re-)pan sound sources, even outside the loudspeaker base. It also allows for increasing the perceived ‘width’ or spatial extent, and depending on the spectral content, may allow to subtly modify the perceived height of a source. Simply position the handles to change the desired position of each input signal, and use the mouse wheel to modify the spatial width.
Please note that TB OmniSone is still in an experimental phase and the results and effectiveness of TB OmniSone will depend on the (spectral) properties of the audio signals, the employed loudspeaker setup, and the anthropometric properties of the listener. Best results are obtained with high-quality loudspeakers placed at +/- 30 degrees as seen from the listener position.

Hardball Records has released Yamaha PSS-9 Drum Kit, a free collection of Yamaha PortaSound PSS-9, a keyboard toy.

All patches are chromatically sampled, every note is available in one velocity chosen because of his sound quality.
Drum bank contains an 8 factory sounds and also i have record and process additional sounds that synthesizer makes when turn it on/off, background noise. So you have 5 extra sounds FX which can be pretty useful for glitch, minimal, sci-fi, idm, and not only.

All samples are mono, in high quality 24 Bit WAV format. In order to use this kit you must download the Logic EXS24 files. WAV files are inside.

Krakli has set free Harm, a virtual synthesizer instrument designed for aggresive and strange sounds.

Harm, which was previously offered as part of the RMP2 donation pack is now available as freeware on the free synths page at Krakli.com

This one will be enjoyed by lovers of the ' Its a Krakli Synth but I'm not too sure what all the controls do' brigade!!
It does come complete with 64 patches from Dimitri Schkoda though.
