FC Scout Is Launched

Hello FM Scout users.

As many of you know we have recently started to make our very own team for FM.
We have finally finished it, thanks to Sun for doing most of the work in the DB.
In the future we will hopefully have more profiles and a bigger and better team and database.
This is our first release and it might not be absolutely perfect.
The team starts in the English Coca-Cola Championship.

Our skin for FM?

If you are one of those who don't like the default FM2009 skin and agree that most third party skins are poor, then we can do something about it.
It's time we start working on our own skin for the game. A good start would be to do some brainstorming around this matter before we move to the next step that would be an image mockup.
This will be a work in progress and a possible release date could be early September. That's close to FM2010, which means we'll actually prepare a skin for FM2010 and just test it out on FM2009 until then. We need to sharpen our skin development skills anyway!
So tell us what you'd like to see, providing image samples if possible.

FC Scout - Need more profiles

Our good friend Chris (sun_chris) has initiated an effort in order to shape our own FM team. We will go by the name FC Scout. Until now we have had 17 profiles sent. So far the team is good in attack, having 2 players for every position, but in defence we have just one per position. We need more defence men.

if you have already sent us your profile, you can help us cover the remaining team spots by adding a friend of yours in the team and writing your name in the bottom, so we know who's friend it is.

When the team is complete, we'll release the database for everyone to download and use.

Looking for FM 2010

It's still quite early but we thought it could create remarkable interest to begin a talk in the forums about FM 2010. And so we initiated a new forum for the forthcoming Football Manager 2010. At the moment there's only one section where you can post your ideas and suggestions about the future FM version.

Problem with downloads

We lost one of our most valuable hosts during the last couple of days and as a result many of our download links became broken. We are working around recovering all those broken links and making them valid again. Most of them are already valid, and we estimate to check the well-being of our whole database until tomorrow. We apologize for the inconvenience.

New Ingame FMScout released

Immuner released a new version of his Ingame FMScout which is compatible with Patch 9.3.0. However, this is not the only difference with the previous version. There have been some major changes done that should make it one of the best scouting tools out there.

New section added

We know there are still things missing from our download section. Mostly graphics. But, we always wanted to see a shortlist section. And there you have it!
We have now added a new download section for FM 2009 shortlists. I thought I'd make the start and add a shortlist of 140 wonderkids.
Let us know if you'd like more shortlists like this one.

In other news, a new Editor Patch (v1.2) was released yesterday by SI that fixes a couple of Editor issues reported recently. You can download it here.

We have ultimately integrated a live chat page on the site, which should come in handy for the ones in need of fast responses while arranging an online FM game and whatnot. You can find it here. Follow the instructions on that page to register your own nickname. It's an IRC chat. Hope you like it.

Your opinion matters

Since the launch of our new site, we kept improving and tweaking and fixing as much as we could. You can find proof for that on the site changelog page. But we want more, we want better, we want your opinion.
You can now Request a feature and check the latest Planned site updates.

Moving Forward

We were all happy to witness the return of Genie Scout that got updated for latest SI patch. Most of us were also satisfied with the changes this site has undergone. As promised we kept improving the site after the big update. You can check the site changelog to keep track of all site changes.

Let's be realistic though. The surprise and the site change are history now and we don't want to hold on to that. We want to keep moving forward. We know this site has potential to go much bigger and we'll give our everything for it. We all want a better site, no ads and every damn downloadable that exists.
