She's had a hard time getting doctors to do something to help her. She finally came to Iowa City and they put a stent in her head to drain fluid the new doctors thought was the pressure causing her pain. This procedure was done without any anesthesia! Now she's taking some kind of pain meds that she needs to gradually be taken off of and every time they lower the dose she has more pain. Sometimes the pressure gets too low which van cause severe headaches, neck pain and a heavy awful feeling when she is upright. The doctors are working with her to find the right middle ground. On top of that, at the end of March she was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrom (hypermobile type). The focus now is on joint stability. Luckily she is not working outside of home, but she has twins, Luna and Rhea (6 years old) in kindergarten, so there is still plenty of work to do. i don't know how she does it with all the health problems she's been having.
