PHP/Wordpress/CMS Developer needed ASAP (Anywhere in Pacific or Mountain timezones)

I’m looking for a freelance developer I can work with directly on getting a number of Wordpress installations working correctly. I have been using Wordpress for the last couple of years but because of the limitations of it’s expandability, am considering switching to Joomla or Drupal or?
In the meantime I need to get my Wordpress sites clean and efficient and secure. I need someone who can estimate a flat fee after hearing what’s needed and work quickly. Responsiveness, the ability to grasp what’s needed and make suggestions are highly valued traits. Also, having patience with someone with less knowledge is essential.
This is for someone who likes solving problems and putting on the detective hat, not someone only interested in building sites from the ground up. This is not a design position but some sense of design can make things easier when it comes to making decisions on the fly.
If you are only available certain days of the week, please do not apply. I need to be able to reach you if something is needed right away. This does not mean I expect you to drop what you are doing…merely that you are reachable and available within a reasonable period of time.
If we work well together I may have you set up sites from the start. This would be my goal eventually so that I can get back to the graphics end of things. Please include a list of links to sites you have worked on, along with what your role was, and references.

I have a series of 6-8 UI screens I need migrated into Flex. You’ll be working off screenshots from the original application to build the view parts of a MVC model.
The Flex component-views need not be clones of the originals – capturing the form elements in a clean layout is most important. I don’t expect any ActionScript coding in the views, however if you have ActionScript skills and know Cairngorm and are OOP friendly I’ve got work with your name on it!

This project is the start of a series of UI migrations I’m ‘farming out’
I prefer flat-fee pricing, I have enough details so you can scope the tasks. This is open to dialog, I’m not stuck on it.

You will be coding the markup and integrating it to WordPress, and will be doing the homepage, search page (results, and no results), and the individual posts page. There will also be a decent amount of JavaScript, and plugin work, so you must be well qualified in JavaScript and WordPress.

PSD to WordPress Coders (Ongoing work) (Anywhere)

Hello,

We’re looking for at least one front-end developer to outsource work to fairly regularly. The work would always involve taking a PSD, and converting it into semantic, browser-compatible HTML, and then 99% of the time, into WordPress (Including any standard plugins the theme needs, e.g. Twitter Tools, or form info like FeedBurner. Each site varies, but some features come up fairly regularly).

As well as coding it into a WordPress theme, you may also have to set up featured content sliders, or other special features (Don’t worry, you do get paid for extra requests of course! :) )

Some essentials for the job:
- Valid, cross-browser compatible HTML and CSS (Obviously! :P )
- WordPress knowledge (Again, fairly obvious! :D )

And some positives, but non-essential:
- JavaScript knowledge – If you know your JQuery or any other framework, make sure you let me know! Always have work for JS coder :)

- PHP – Quite often the sites we set up are a lot more complicated than regular WordPress installs. If you’re familiar with PHP and WordPress, that’s going to suit great :)
