What is the place for Africa in and for the Olympics?

It's the aftermath of the show, where everyone around the world gets to give their opinion of the show. Because yes, they can, and have the right to, after all, it’s a world show meant for the whole world.!-This is why every country gets to participate in it.

The Olympic Games is one of the very few rituals that the whole world shares in common or participates in aside from the institution of Marriage.
Aside from the fun and entertainment part of it, the Olympic ceremony shows off an aspect of the people and culture of the host country. It asks and answers the questions: Who are they, their values, their interests, their attitude to life and morals but especially whether they value foreigners and are willing to welcome them in the most gracious ways - this will most often reflect in its reactions to the Olympians and people participating during this time, not just in its hospitality to the athletes who are a representation of their countries, but also their security and in what manner the host country people welcomes them ( after all the Olympic ceremony is like the first dinner the host country offers Olympians ).

Of course, the Paris 2024 opening ceremony cannot be compared to others before it like that of Beijing 2008 ( there is a lot to be said about that, some of which will be reflected on here). However, one of the things that cannot be taken from this opening ceremony is the Originality that Paris brought to the scene in the use of its precious landmarks in its natural habitat as loved by millions of people who have traveled thousands of miles and spent thousands and millions to see them. A lovely ceremony on its own level - a showcase of Arts, history, entertainment, equality, theatre, culture, fashion, architecture literature, etc. Whether or not you loved or liked it is up to you. However, I must mention that compared to ceremonies that have been hosted in the past? It seems the IOC was more lenient in its rules and needs for this year's Olympics, as well as tendered kindness to France in so many ways based on what was allowed for this ceremony. In other ceremonies before it, one can easily see the impact of strict rules and discipline through the country’s presentations.

However, this is not the time for us to compare. Before aligning with one of the main points of this article. We must understand without forcefully going in-depth into the complexity of the financial impacts of hosting the games. One of the most important gains for the host is the huge debt cancellation by the IMF, financial gains from sponsorship, and of course resources that will be gained as a result of people participating in the games, purchases, travels, etc.

Most importantly, Note the debt cancellation - this is what makes the host country or state’s economy stronger in the years after hosting, check the impact on others. If the host country’s people do not understand this highly important information, it will be calamity.

Now this is not obviously the main point for this article. This is. After last night’s show, I can well tell you that it is time for Africa to host the world -again ( talking Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, etc. even if it needs to be shared between 2 countries, not South Africa ) and I assure you that the Pan African countries can do a pretty great job at it. After all the Olympics should be hosted in countries that are indeed naturally welcoming people to all particularly to foreigners and will treat them right.

What better place is there than in the continent of hospitality. If anything, this year’s event shows that Africa does not need an extraordinary budget to host the games or to prepare the ceremony. Just as security was organized and sent from all over the world, the same can be done for Africa. The continent needs its debts to be forgiven so that its people can stay in its land without bordering on the lands of others who say there is no more room for them. The opportunity to foster growth and a better economy of its own where debts are forgotten and transactional profits are gained from hosting the Olympics is one Africa as a continent needs now. Africa is once again ready to show other humans that they are loved, royal, and wanted. Ready to show its beauty, and hospitality and create history. Did I hear some say security, once again I will refer you to Paris 2024, the fact that all countries are willing to send in their security troops to protect is an easy beautiful icing on the cake, let’s be brave and take the seat for 2040. I rest my case.

NETFLIX - 5 Reasons why they are a global cultural game changer.

As a cross-cultural consultant, anything that improves lives for all humans through cultural knowledge excites me and I am sure there are others like me out there. For me, Storytelling through the media is a big yes and this is where Netflix comes in. I could go on telling you more about who the big media streaming giant is but that would be so long. However, quickly let me say a little about them; Netflix is a media streaming giant of the 21st century, from TV to films and recently Video Games - this looked like fun when I saw it but I am yet to try it. The number of people that watch Netflix on a day-to-day basis continually increases particularly among the younger generations on a steady - from watching Netflix while on a date(Netflix and Chill) to eating in front of a Netflix series or movie.

I have a curious mind and an appetite and when it comes to media(films, series, tv, etc) I can consume almost any content. Some of my favorites are documentaries, actual events movies, culturally inept stories, boring Christmas movies( lol, I have concluded that this is a thing and all of us who are into this should form a club out there), and more.

So how and why is Netflix a cultural game changer or why does the activities of Netflix in films and TV benefit the larger world culturally?

Here are the 5 main reasons why I consider Netflix to be a global cultural game changer through media.

1. Original content: First and foremost we must recognize how Netflix has revolutionized the way we consume television and film by producing its original content. Shows like " The Crown" (one of my favs), "Narcos" (the first season about the late Drug Lord Pablo Escobar had everyone glued to their screens), and "Stranger Things" have become cultural phenomena, garnering millions of viewers and critical acclaim. This has not only changed the way we watched television but also the way in which it is produced and distributed globally.

2. Global Reach: Netflix is available in over 190 countries, making it one of the most widely accessible streaming services in the world. This has allowed all kinds of people from all over the world to access the same content and experience the same cultural phenomena, regardless of where they live. Let's not forget that Much of the content on the Netflix app or web is shown on the home page which serves as a reminder or attention grabber for anyone with a Netflix account across the globe to take a peep at. By creating for this availability as well as viewer ability of these foreign content; Netflix is gradually breaking barriers across the globe in media. In the past, what most people saw majorly on their TV was mainly about their culture and America; but this is no longer the case. As Netflix seems to aim at the large concept and knowledge of awareness.

3. Diverse programming: Netflix has made concerted efforts to always include diverse programming in its lineup of shows and films, with shows and films representing various cultures, languages, and prospects. this has allowed for greater representation and inclusivity in the media landscape.

4. Breaking down language barriers: From its global reach; Netflix has also made it possible for people to watch shows and films in their own languages with translations for other countries or people - making it easily available to view by others thereby almost blending cultures from a certain angle; while inducing or providing specific cultural knowledge of one culture to another. This feature has helped to break down language barriers and allowed people to experience different cultures through the media they consume.

5. Changing the way we consume media: With the ability to bing watch entire seasons of shows, and the options to download shows and films for offline viewing, Netflix has changed the way we consume media. This has allowed for more flexibility in how and when we watch television and films and has made it possible for more people around the world to consume more content in a shorter period of time.

In conclusion, there are perhaps many more reasons to list but I am sure that these few points will convince you of the cultural impact that Netflix is creating through media -shows, films, and games. Netflix has the entertainment industry and has become a major player in shaping our cultural experiences. Perhaps they may even be nudging towards or gradually inducing a single worldwide culture.

How to organise an Online Party with Family and Friends during this Easter and other celebrations

Forgoing by the events of COVID-19 causing various governments all over the world to impose confinement periods for quarantining and forcing 90% of the population to work from home, people have managed to find ways to stay entertained. Now, its no news that the confinement season has made travel or physical contact and visitations more difficult or canceled, but we are also forced to find new or use old ways(still talking about the internet) to communicate, hence get connected online.
Now Easter is here and what would have been a holiday celebration done by going to meet with or hangout with family and friends, may have been cut short. So what better way to use the most available resources to us this season - Online Video Calling.

Thank Goodness for all forms of video calling communication tools on the internet now. Now, since the isolation, many have been able to use these video conferencing tools to not just communicate, but also to throw birthday parties, have an Aperos, attend church services and programs online, host shows, and more. As weird as it may sound, many including myself have found and can testify to the fact that this can it can be fun. So getting on fast to the main details without much talking, what do you need to do to host one and what do you need to know?

The first thing you will need of course is a stable internet connection.

Secondly, a Confirmation from family and friends that they will like to join the video call, along with their email addresses (have in that some applications may need their phones for the connection) and the following applications either on your Phone or Computer.

Thirdly. Make sure to have a plan for the video call, such as an email or text message informing family and friends of your intentions, purpose of the video call and any other things you may want them to have of do during the call, example, inform everyone to have a drink ready at hand, etc

Fourthly, download any of the following applications below unto your devices, please go onto their websites to read more on setting up each account. Most processes are really easy to follow. (Please note that this is not a paid advert, just wanting to warm your hearts this season).

#Inconsistency in terms of how each app works on different platforms. There may be different needs required for setting up on different operating systems.
#One may need to pay to stay longer for hours of video calling/voice communication (make sure to check the calling time allowed for a free subscription)
#Some of the applications are not ideal for some users on different operating software or platforms.
#Some of the applications can only be accessible to a limited number of people per video call.

Bible Verses to help ease off fear and anxiety #COVID-19

There is a lot going on in our world right now like you all know with the Corona Virus, COVID-19. Firstly, I found that I am a different animal when asked to stay in one place without access to the outside world for 3 days max. I actually think that I am both an introvert and a very good extrovert. But there is just something about someone or orders telling me to stay in one place..... I just get twitchy with that ...looool. Anyways, I am doing fine and I was able to go grocery shopping yesterday, I felt like a child whose parents had just made up on their promise to go get candy at the stores, no joking, I was dancing with excitement just to see the outside world.

Now jokes aside, I know we all have so much on how minds due to this virus spread and my goal here is not to worry you more but to help ease any worries and questions that you may have.

There could be much I could say about the virus and areas I would love to take all day to address, however, I trust that I can do that in another writing/Post. While It’s no news that we all must stay safe, clean at this time and wash our hands steadily and at all times, another intruding issue at this point is the fear that looms around. While this fear can be loudly expressed by some, for others it's lying quietly in within.

CHOOSING YOUR BIBLE

This is a very very important subject in christianity and it's the reason why many people don't read the Bible and are half captive by the weight of the world or the enemy. Once you are using and reading the Bible version that best speaks to you, trust me you would be having fun reading the Bible, It would be like the scales have been lifted from your eyes and you will spend house reading it..NO JOKES!

Now, When you are choosing your Bible make sure to chose a Bible that speaks your language. By this, I don't mean your spoken mother's tongue or by countries but I mean the best-written words and versions or translations of English language Bibles that best speak to you and you can comprehend with easy. There are over 2500 versions of the Bible in English alone and over 1500 in other languages.

The Bible has been translated from the original Hebrew language into different formats of "word for word" and "thought for thought", or literal and phrase by phrase translation.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? 🤔🤔🤔
Thought for thought =sense for sense, translating the meaning of phrases or whole sentences with readability in mind while
"Word for Word = translating the meaning of words and phrases in a more literal way, keeping the exact word translations.

Examples :
🍿The King James Version (KJV ) is a word for word translation hence why it has a Shakespearan language feel to it, "thee, art mine beloveth with whom thou must pleaseth...🙄🙄 You know them. Hence, it's difficult to understand to many people. I have seen many trying to fool themselves to understanding it and begging the Holy Spirit for wisdom to understand, don't do that please, the Holy Spirit has created other versions for you through humans, leave him space to answer my needs, please 😂😂😂. This does not, however, mean that there are people who don't understand or love this version, there are☺.

🍿The Modern English translation of New International Version (NIV) is a translation balanced between " word for words" and "thought for thought". This can be a great read, I love it.
🍿The NLT is my favourite here.
🍿The Message Bible is a thought for thought version. And the Amplified Bible and more.

🏄Fun Fact - Do you know that I sometimes read the Bible while eating Popcorn and my thoughts are like "... This joseph self, how will he do a thing as such and this Daniel can like to feel like gangster self ..." and I will have my pen too, drilling down messages from conversations that the Holy Spirit is filling me with. It's like a movie scene in my head,😂😂😅

To help you best know the Bible version that suits your language of comprehension, I will advise that you download the world-renowned Bible app called "Bible" by YouVersion try out reading chapters of the books of the bible in the different versions available and you should be able to choose the main version that flows with you. 😁

I will love to add the MEV (Modern English Version), Bible in Basic English, The NIV Note Taking Bible is a beautiful one too to add my Bibles soon. I love Bibles, especially for Bible journaling. I have 5 Bibles now.

Don't let the devil rob you of your délivrance and fruits by blinding you from understanding the Bible, this is the biggest plan to keep you locked down in struggles and failure and it's working. Hoping the year is going as planned and you are excited so far. In any case, be grateful for life and everything will fall in place.

Let's get motivated for business!!!

So like some of you may know, I love to learn and I use every method and measure pleasing to me or more about using the left and right side of my brain. Particularly, as an entrepreneur, I realized that I constantly have loads of ideas to apply to my business or and businesses that I want to go into, but in so doing I must be strategic hence why I have to be open to all forms of learning and being also a visual person learning through videos or films works for me and am sure many of you too. Over the years, I have learned from watching many movies and it's in that light that I would love to recommend some of the movies that have impacted my life as an entrepreneur. I hope you take time to see these films, take some notes and that you apply them to your ideas or businesses.

1. CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

In as much as you should know that I do not condone any wrongdoings, such as fraud, escaping enforcement officers, wrongful impersonations - (the law will always catch up when wrongdoings are not corrected), this movie reveals some important lessons and set skills that when applied positively will change the game for you.

This movie reveals that Age is meaningless in business, your limitations often in terms of ages starts with your mind or in your head, get it out and use your magic. It portrays the importance of taking risks, so to never be afraid of the Unknown, the importance of dressing the part ALWAYS!! Dressing the part can be deceiving and can open doors for you. Experience is no match for resourcefulness, but totally resourceful- learn quickly and think on your feet. Finally, that CONFIDENCE is key, even while you are about to throw up or you are as scared as a wet rat, keep up the confidence.

2. STARTUP.COM
This 2001 documentary is based on real start-up GovWorks, showcases how friendships can be threatened by business partnerships. For an entrepreneur, the film focuses on financing, entrepreneurship skills, management skills, business growth as well as building a team - which can sometimes be the hardest in a start-up.

3. THE GODFATHER
This all-time masterpiece is a MUST watch one if you are an entrepreneur. The trilogy has a lot to teach and showcase through its amazing gangster storyline. It covers the importance of why one must help people along the way in both life and business, networking and building relationships with a reputation, and of course knowing your competitions. Let's not forget the lessons from takeovers and mergers or acquisitions that happened in the movie both hostile and friendly.
Remember Santino "Sonny" Corleone's line when he was discussing war with one of the rival families?
"My father taught me many things ... keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."

Meaning for every business issue, make sure to look deep for solutions. The movie also highlights the importance of knowing your strengths, how to run long corporation successions and having succession plans ready.

4. THE FOUNDER
I like to call this 2016 film "the McDonalds movie". No, it's not entirely about the owner of Mcdonald, but about this guy called Ray Kroc, whose life was transformed when he met the Mcdonald brothers and how this union went on to change the way we see fast food, especially in America. The movie has lessons on working on your business with Passion and mostly shows the routes to starting a business as well as how that can be like scaling through all the hoops at first to that big dream.
Get you a burger or Mcdonalds to eat while watching this, it gives you a bit of that "thing" feeling ''''' it's just special 😂!

5. THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA

This all-time favorite movie of many people both young and old people is a passion driver. Following a the story of a young graduate of journalism and her passion to get her dream job. The movie touches on the stereotype of how hard work pays off and how to get through in uncomfortable situations in a new terrain or business. It gives alot of information into the fashion industry and the importance of the media in business as well as career development in your job and while running your own business.

Here is where I get to stop today and I hope you can get to see these movies and learn a thing or two. I will write on a followup in Part 2 hopefully next week, have a great week and see yaaaaa!!!

How I read my bible - Bible Journaling.

Hi everyone,

Hoping we are all having a great holiday. First and foremost, I will like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a wondrous new year ahead.

I have had the most fun and blessed Christmas this year with family and friends and ofcourse with loads of laughter and blessings. Now, just before the year runs out, I promised in one of my last blogs that I will be telling you how I got into reading my Bible in a fun way that has got me spending more time with the Lord, speaking and conversing with Him daily - Bible journaling, if you didn't read the post, its here. God showed me this while I was online searching for free (yes, I love free items and I may still love them even after I become a trillionaire ...hahahaha) painting/colouring by numbers art. I searched frantically that day like I was addicted and before I knew it I stumbled on videos and articles about Bible journaling. Suddenly I remembered my Family here in Aix en Provence (an amazing English family that I have grown to love and appreciate over the years because of how good their heart is and how supportive they can be - they give me joy!!) and how In the first few months of meeting her(the mom), I stumbled into her room where she had her bible, coloured with craft items everywhere and prayer requests written on them, pictures and all sorts of fun items that instantly caught my Art heart and immediately, I said, "I will like to do that someday".

Someday........ a year down the line and here I was with the opportunity and the dying hunger in me to act on it fast. As soon as I saw the first article , I researched more and more till it was dark in the day, I had not eaten or moved from my position and I noticed I had carried out some orders with very little funds in my account.....hahahahah! oh dear!
And my life, my entire life and studying the word has never been the same since then.

So what is Bible Journaling?

Bible journaling is an exciting approach or way to engage with God through the scripture using the Bible. It's usually a way to document your personal journey and relationship with God. It is an venue to record your journey and to build stronger more interesting conversations with God using Art. The end goal is usually that it transforms the way you spend time in the word of God and it just starts from the margins of your bible. Finally , you can keep the Bible as memorabilia for your family :).

Some may say, hang on a minute, Shirley, you mean you write in your bible?.... First and formost you must understand that this is a personal decision to write in your bible. In as much as you may think that it is forbidden to write in the bible because of one reason or the other , you must also know that the bible in your hands is not the manuscript or the original, its a printed work fabricated on paper, made from wood in a certain factory somewhere. The words are the light we seek and the most important aspect of it all.

So, how do I start? Show me the way fast.....
Generally all you need to start is a bible no matter which one, however there are various Bible Journals or Creative Bibles now in the market, do a research and get the most affordable one for you, depending on which you want. Just make sure you get your bible in the version that you best understand the language, there is no point in getting a bible in a language that makes reading and understanding the word hard and boring or because everyone has the same version, so you must get same. This is the mistake that has been made by many for centuries now. I for one started reading with King James version and often found it difficult and boring. I guessed I most have picked my bible in that version because everyone around me used one, what a great error! If you are in this category of people, take the new year to change your bible to one that suits your visual and auditory capacity. Thankfully we have a huge list of today's language or English bible translations to choose from. Following everyone never saves, even your pastor is using the version he best understands, do same.....
Do yourself some good and be wise!

You may also need some Washi Tapes
Stickerss etc
After which you can add more utensils later as you grow in journaling, there are a lot of printable sites and items to buy online or in a crafts shop, I will put down some free links below for those willing to start.

Process
I personally use a process I call "PRAR'D" (Pronounced as "Prayed")

Pray - Before you start, ask God for his presence, understanding and to come communicate with you.

Read and Reflect: Read the Bible texts as you deem fit and reflect on the words and verses for those that particularly speaks to your heart, to you in general or your situation at the time. Finally

Design - This is where you RESPOND and COMMUNICATE with God, write down, design, paint or draw all that has been ministered to you during your study in your bible or on separate journal.

If you will like to start journaling here are some FREE printable sites to start with.(Print items on sticker papers or hard card material or plain A4 papers, cut them out and glue on your bible or journals). Luckily for me, this Christmas, I got some free bible journaling supplies from my family here and I am so excited to try them out.

Gifting this Christmas

Today, I decided to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life, so I went into the city centre.
On arriving there, I noticed instantly how blocked and packed with people it was. Every store was filled with people and everyone was eagerly moving towards somewhere or something, as the evening approached the faster their speed of movement. I wondered why all the frenzy, suddenly as if I had just opened my eyes, a guy passed by me with 3 or more huge fancy shopping bags, neatly wrapped like gifts bags and then I looked around and soon found that almost all the people around me had 1 or more bags like that, most from big brands like Hermes, Apple etc. So now I know why the craze, people were buying gifts for loved ones and family or friends. Its Christmas after all- the gifting period. Here, In fact people seemed to be trying to out do one another in gifting and I am forced to take a good look at this gifting Christmas culture around the world.

Yes, it is good to receive gifts and in fact I will love to be gifted an item or two , or something even luxurious this season....... cheeky me LOL! But I haven't lost my head in this crazy and expensive culture. Looking at Christmas as a whole, I find that it is a very expensive period from travelling, either to meet loved ones or get back to them or even for some get away holiday to buying gifts for most people around you or to cooking a storm in the kitchen for them etc, all of these requires some form of spending. Its either one is spending cash wise - money or physically -strength and time. I notice either way, at the end we are all feel exhausted from all the spending and depending on how the people you gifted view life, after all that spending, some will appreciate it and like it or not some people will NOT. And guess what? There is nothing you can do about it! Absolutely nah! dah!

In fact , you as the "gifter" may also regret having spent much or decide to brush the feeling of lost aside referring it to appreciation or whatever makes you sleep at night and again it depends on your thought pattern of life as an individual. Now in as much as we all love gifting and some more, we must know that there are people somewhere asking to get feed just from bread crumbs while we are here trying so hard to out gift one another with gifts that we may not use or that we throw aside after one or no use all either because we don't like the gifts or even forgot about them.

I know some people will want to say but how do I find the people needing help, and I will say. "look around you, am sure not all your friends are doing greatly in their lives or are at the same level with you and they must have mentioned it at one point or the other". Why not extend a hand of help towards them this season? Christmas really is for sharing with those who have none and not mainly for those who already have enough or all . If we look at the story of Jesus we will see that He was always breaking bread and feeding the people(mostly poor), this should be the practice, Santa Claus was giving to the poor, and that was where the history of gifting during Christmas originated from. But for some reasons over the year and these days we have forgotten all of that and we now only concentrate on those who have it all already. A funny and sad scenario is that, some people are even asking or expecting gifts from those who can't afford them, while they who are richer have nothing to give them. What a sad world! I know we may want to link appreciation to gifting our loved one but we must not forget that those who have less or have non should get the bigger portion.

Netflix faces Backlash for Portraying A Gay Jesus and Weed-Smoking Mary this Christmas

It is the Holiday season and its time for merriment and spreading the good news and banking on the wholehearted goodness and cheer that comes with the season but this year, Netflix seems to be doing the most by going against this tradition with their Christmas Special feature The first Temptation of Christ.
Now Netflix faces alot of backlash from the christian community. The feature film shows Jesus as a ridiculous Gay guy (not even a good one ), Weed-Smoking Mary and mocking Jesus and his disciples ways. The same group of Brazilian producers where handed the 2019 International Emmy Award for their movie ‘The Last Hangover’ also portraying Jesus as a drunk and in a bad name or context .

Now over 1 million people have signed the petition to bring down the movie on Netflix and the signature is increasing daily and yes Christians like myself have right to be upset. We are here all about the good nativity and spreading love with our story of Jesus but some group of people think it ok to mock it or mislead others on the story. Now the goal of the petition is to have at least 3 million people sign the petition and hold the production group "Porta dos Fundos to" responsible for the crime of Villainous faith.

Some viewers have express their disgust at the production and people such as the Brazilian Congress man and Pastor Marco Feliciano expressed his anger on Twitter against the comedy special saying : "Christians and Non-Christians have asked me to take action against the irresponsible members of Porto Des Fundo. Its time we tool a collective action - churches and all good people - to put an end to this". Well said from my opinion. However, the Porta des Funto group seems to think that its all fun and games as they poked fun at the petition claiming that they won an award for the one of last year ---- silly!

I have a lot to say on this but My take is, why do people feel that they often have to attack the christian faith. Especially sad I know for a fact that this can’t be done to any of the other dominant religions without blood being shed and this can’t even be done to other groups(not calling names, but you know them) , it can Never go bloodless ! The lack of respect for the christian faith by others is never a way to say your believe is better or speaks better. This whole production is just utterly disrespectful! The show even makes mockery of God with lines like this: “I wiped out the dinosaurs with a fart,” God brags.

Whether we like it or not religion exists, pick yours and leave others alone. Making mockery of other religions to have your say, is never the right way. Seems to me that many think it’s not okay to offend any other person or religion except CHRISTIANS, and this has got to stop! 🛑

We are been called to cancel Netflix subscriptions and make a protest and yes , I think that , this is a good call. Netflix is however yet to respond. The whole scenarios just reminds me of this text below from the bible

Join the change.org in your locality to have your say. There are already many petitions on going around the world towards the movie.

If anyone speaks of freedom to this matter , remember that Even freedom has its limits , if you doubt me try acting or living out all your thoughts and you will soon see that the Psychiatric ward will be your home forever 🙄 . This is not a freedom fight as spoken by the production group on their twitter account. Pick a fight for something else please.

Prudent Ways to spend money This Christmas

As we enter into yet another and final Holiday season of the year. It's very easy to get carried away and plunge into spending as though our lives depend on it. I have been a victim to this season particularly because its my favourite time of the year and believe me those stores know how to call my heart and wallet.

But Mostly, I just think I get excited during this season for no reason. I get excited for the decorations, the food and family and everything worthy and unworthy, that it gets to the point of ridiculousness. I mean, people literally ask me why am so excited and I actually have no concrete reason - perhaps its just the joy that God has given to me during this season.... xoxox

However, I know during this season, most of get carried away by the luxury feel in the air and of course those been done by our friends and family that it gets to easy to get frivolous in our spending. Some can be even Called " the King/Queen of Unplanned Spending"... Yes I know a few of such people, please do count me in on them oo, hahahaha!

But just before joining the Kings and Queens of planned spending why not consider that as this year ends, it brings with it a new year with more financial responsibilities that can be even bigger for each person depending on which stage you are in life presently - Single, Traveller, Student, Married with kids etc.

While I will not try to discourage you from spending, because its just impossible, I have helped to pen down a few prudent ways you can consider to help you spend your money without leaving you broke, stressed or hateful after the holidays.

1. Create a Budget - Try to remember the amount of purchases you make in a month or week. A good way to remember is to write them down, keep receipts or note it down in your budget app - a good one is this by amazon. So as you plan spending in the season, have a limit to your budget and ensure that all spending is LOWER than your income.

2. Plan for your purchases in advance - This is where window-shopping(the shopping act of going to check store items and prices without making a purchase) comes to play its magic , just make sure you return home without making an actual purcahse. Find out the prices of items before you decide to buy them, look into store brochures, and get prices on line but stay off purchasing them , only note them down and plan your shopping according to your budget.

3. Get a Cash Tracking App - To track your Spending during your shopping. There are many in the market , but here is a free one that is great to use.

4. Do not go on impulse Shopping - No, No, No, the enemy of your money lives in this box. Whatever you do this season, DO NOT DO THIS! No, to those moments when you suddenly feel like having a new jacket for the season even when you know you have enough great ones in the wardrobe. No, to impulse buying springing out of " I have been a good girl or boy, this year'... ehhh, Not! No to trying on items in a store while passing by and saying to yourself 'let me just try it, I probably won't buy it, NOOOOOOO.... the experience can cause you to make a decision then and immediately.

5. Shop from Sales and discounts But with Care: While sales and discounts are good on everyone, even billionaires love it, you must know that you have to be weary of marketing strategies. Use coupons and buy only items you need and are useful or else your account will be seeking for trouble. Remember this always, "the attraction of a cheaper price is an easy to get me to buy what I do not need" that way your spending during this time is limited only to what you need for the season

6. Shop Alone!!!!- I feel like parents need to hear this more. Lawd please, you do not want to take your kids with you while shopping during this season, or else you will be spending all your money! I mean allllll. Those kids will bat their eyes at you and you will feel guilty, am telling you it's true. What about those without kids? Do not go shopping this season with a Friend whose tastes you respect. They can influence you to spend more money. While shopping alone , do not take advise form store employees and attendance, only ask questions and take that only. Believe me they are out there to sell, not look at you.

7. Choose pocket friendly Events to attend, travel destinations or activities - Not every turn-up is your turn-up. Check your pocket before attending. Not every fun activity that your family or kids are invited to are pocket friendly to you, kindly excuse yourself in the season, there will be other events. There are loads of travel destinations that can be cheaper than those you have planned, make sure to do a good research based on rebates and discounts.

While there are many more ways I could consider or help bring to mind for you, I would rather stop here and hope that you laugh on this: While I was a student, I once put my student bank and credit cards in the Freezer to help stop me from using it and spending in a particular season.....hahahaha!
Find a harder way to help stop you from using your cards if push comes to shove.

Coloring by God

I recently fell in love with a new hobby called "colouring by number". I actually stumbled across it by error, someone had mentioned it. In any case, I think it's the latter. So I had it in my mind to try it out some day being that I had the flair for drawings and paintings. The idea behind colouring by numbers" is to paint a picture printed out on a paper or in a book with a colouring guide as coded in numbers on the picture with each number represent a colour.

So my intention was to get a hobby or a different form of meditation that would suit me while easing my mind, something different from what I had been doing and that which I had normalised myself to over the years in terms of meditation. Yes, like most christians, I do the quiet time with the bible, I write, I exercise and I have even tried yoga but not all flowed well with my mental and spiritual being and I knew I had to try something else. This particular day came, while watching a YouTube blog, the blogger spoke in passing about a new habit she had picked up and she was loving, called Colouring by numbers, I remembered that I had also come across some paintings online with numbers on the designs.

Now, you must know that growing up I was a good artist and I liked to paint my drawings with Colouring pencils but in as many people saw my work as good, I felt like I was an amateur and needed to practice much more - in fact I never saw my drawings with same eye as they saw it and perhaps thats why I lost the hunch for it. Anyways after, one day while researching and looking for an inner pour out, I suddenly remembered it and so there began my young journey in art.

You see I had been so stressed, my mind was full, my head was lamenting, I had gone on my knees in prayers and poured it out to my almighty father in heaven but I still needed to clear my head and but myself in a comfortable position to get my life in ORDER!

oH oh yea, it seemed like I was a mess mentally, I was worried and am not much of a talker and at the stage I was at I needed to find a mental hobby aside reading to clear the blockage. Now, I found out long ago that I have been told too often that I wasn't good enough by those I trusted and loved earlier in my life so I am obsessed with being better all the time ( I have dealt with this earlier) but I still always like to address areas of my life which I find to be slow. Its amazing how we live our lives be it complicated or uncomplicated, we still always try to find a place when we feel so low and we need to get out.

Anyways, going back to the tale of my colouring, I have done a few colouring since then and moved on to other more interesting activities through this. My first day of painting, I painted a flower I believe and as I painted away, I found myself speaking to God and he to me, it seemed like a conversation in my head, and by the time I had done half of the painting , I felt better. I soon found that God was leading me somewhere with this new hobby. Its amazing and I promise I will write about it in my next post.
He introduced me to something that I never knew existed ...... watch out for my next post to know more ;)

Summer Vacation Skin Care for Men

Yes, you heard right , I want to really talk about skin care for men. Yassss!

Listen Up men, the era we are in now truly demands that everyone , MEN inclusive, why not, everyone loves to associate with beautiful people with a great hygiene. I mean, I really feel like we don't talk about men's hygiene and skin care routines like we discuss that of women. However, we must know that every woman out there loves a man with a great skin, though we also do not want our men spending too much time at the spa or in the bath doing body works but just the right amount of time is ok per week or day. But hey, its that time of the year, summer vacation is here and every one seems to be travelling to the Blue Coast or some island , San Diego maybe???🤷🏽‍♀️

I also know that most guys would rather die than be caught by their mates stepping into a spa or talking about skin care routine all day. I am also aware that most men grew up with the family or crowd that identifies skin care routine as just soap and water baths and so talking about doing extra is wayyyyyy out of line..... yep !

I am also aware that you see those metrosexuals and their skin regimes and no matter how much you want to hate on them, you genuinely want some of that skin - jealous much? And nop, it doesn't help that summer is here and your skin is still suffering badly from zits or some eczema but you really want a sparking skin. Now before going ahead to a store wear a black full mask and asking the receptionist some really outrageous questions that may make you end up being thrown out the store, by security, here are some necessary things you need to know.

Now take a chair and seat down guys, breath in and look clearly at the screen, then repeat and memorise these words in same order . Its a Kang-fu mantra ....... hahahaha, no am kidding but, you know....

Tone
Moisturise
Nourish and
Protect

This should be your new creed for your skin, do not break it, I feel Like I should say ....."Guys fall in line", like its military ..hahahaha

No kidding this is your regime if you want perfect, clean and improved skin. Michele Probst, International Makeup artist and beauty expert with over 27 years in television and Media said that "the skin is Oilier in summer because of humidity and Heat caused by humidity makes facial oils or sebum rise to the surface. These oils trap dirt into your pores which batteries turn into zits or pimples. She further states that men's facial has has larger pores with about 20% more oil compared to women". If you live in hotter regions, this means that you are more prone to zits and pimples because of this. This means that soap and water alone will not do the magic.

Cleansing

Now let's start with Cleansing, its really easy to do especially as there are a large amount of products in stores and online. However it's important to avoid products with chemicals and hash ingredients. Know that cleansers and soaps come in various forms, and those made of natural ingredients or components are available in different formats, always know the difference between those made for facial skin care only or the body. Deodorant soaps are for the body NEVER the face. If you find a new soap always buy in trial packs(small packs) to try them first before buying in a larger quantity.

It's important that you always try a new product for a minimum of 1 week to ascertain if its functioning for your skin or not. Natural Ingredients have minimal risks anyway and so your skin is likely not to get irritated. Also check to make sure that you or your skin are not allergic to any of its components as well.

Exfoliating/Toning

This just means the removal of the dead skin cells to reveal and smoothen skin's surface. Here you use facial scrubs, they are like cleansers but with soft and mild abrasives-like beads in the scrubs. Jojoba beads and mild and gentle enough as a summer scrub, very effective also in removing dead skins cells. Now in order to remove the dirts and pollutants from staying outdoors on your facial skin, toning is your best kept secret. Aside from removing dirts from the face, toning, also helps to keep the skin subtle and resilient and mixing it with the use of astringents with glycolic acids twice a day reduces the size of your skin pores and prevents in grown hairs particularly during shaving.

Nourishment and Protection

Yes, quite all right the skin care isn't only about cleansing and keeping off dirts on your face, it all needs to be nourished and protected . Nourishing is where quality and intense moistures come to play. Even if your skin is oily, it still needs light moisturisers, they hydrate the skin to regulate oil secretion and production. Particular areas to apply moisturisers are under the eyes, and the sides of the mouth, doing this will prevent an early offset of wrinkles and zits. It is also important that you use eye gels and Face Serums with Vitamin E and Chamomile (calming to the skin) to nourish and refresh the skin, so that you always get that feel like you have just been into a spa the night before.

Now one of the worst things that can damage all of this nourishing above is the sun and it will be such a waste if after taking some minutes to nourish and look after your skin , you let it go to waste by not protecting it from the sun. Listen guys, sun exposure CAN damage your skin, so wear hats and face caps in the sun and use a generous amount of sun screens and sunblock creams. I know a lot of men and women are unaware of the fact that no matter your skin colour, sunscreen and sunblock creams are ESSENTIAL to your skin , so men please buy and use them .

Now while some men are gifted from birth with good skin- genes, we must know that good skin doesn't come with genes, just like every man is not born rich. To achieve a very healthy and glowing skin, a proper skincare is necessary and cannot be avoided.

Soon enough, you will be glowing from the complements you receive and the reflection of the new you in your mirror. ... wink, wink*

This weekend has been totally enlightening in the Rape testimony of Busola Dakolo perpetrated by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA and I can only hope that we all have learned one or 2 things from the whole case. 

First, we must know that there is a time for justice, a time that a voice will speak and it will open doors and address the situation of those that have been oppressed for years and for those that died being oppressed. It does not matter who speaks or who is used, it could be a young homeless boy or girl that brings the case to light or a celebrity figure, what matters is that the issue is highlighted and resolved.

Did you know that In many prisons around the world, prisoners of sexual crimes are seen as the worst offenders/criminals and other inmates usually deal with them terribly, many of them are raped while in prison and some killed because they believe that they don't deserve to live, a whopping 7 in 10 criminals admit that they have been sexually molested at some point in their lives and attribute their present predicament to that harassment.

While following the case, I have heard, seen and read some of the most insane and ridiculous comments and stories ever in my life. From people reliving their childhood horrors to people rubbishing the pain of rape and those defending the edifice- the church and its leader with over 30 other rape testimonies against him. 

I have also read the lovely and constructive arguments on the need for a commission with executive powers to address and investigate vigorously into cases as sexual crimes, and validate evidence as old as 20 years and expert witnesses while enacting better and firmer laws to condemn such acts and bring to books those guilty of the crime in Nigeria as we have been so weak as nation in resolving rape cases in courts, a terrifying low number of 18 Rape cases have been said to have been tried in courts in Nigeria... can you imagine?

I am however even more disgruntled that so many people do not see the importance of this situation. Like it or not it is the beginning of a revolution towards the ills of our society that has kept us derived of necessary rights and mingled with our right reasoning and mental capability to easily differentiate between right and wrong which in the long run has kept our nation in a ridiculed stance and left us with unreasonable corruption. 

This situation seeks to address parental issues and neglects in our society, it brings to focus the roots of ills in the people and with the large section of men and women who came forward to speak of Rape at different times in their lives, it should be noteworthy that we need to work on this aspect as a nation in order to get to the next. A win in this area is a win for all, it's a win that says we can do it and take our nation and people out of deprivation that has existed in a multi-faceted level. We must also know that just because we deal with this now, does not mean we ignore the rest of the nation's problems, but a win in this area will mean that we will win and make great changes in other areas that call for change. 

I have read some comments and I have seen people who dream of holding public positions someday talk recklessly without empathy for the situation or people involved. I have seen many fighting and speaking for church, forgetting that God does not love injustice, God alone has destroyed the universe because of injustice and filth and guess what, he saved only one man, why? Because he was the only one found amongst men to be JUST - Noah. God who also created the universe is aware that some people will not go to church, mosque or the synagogue but he still gives them their rights like he has promised every one of us - they still live and have access to his good favors. So you who sees wrong and says a church or a Pastor is all you want to fight for and you ignore the lost souls he has called you to save, heal and protect, how do you expect him to entrust you with other lives, outside the church, those that are not Christians because like it or not God is about the hearts of his people and the people he has created are vast in one nation alone , talk less of the world.

It costs nothing to show empathy to victims and say no to the sexual ills of society. Some roots of depression are as a result of sexual molestations and some have led to death, some leave people permanently damaged mentally and otherwise.

A call for change does not come as anyone has scripted it but when its time, its time. Whether you support it or not. Whether it affects you now, your relatives, your future children or not, we must seek to be just. 

Your boy or Girl child deserves a voice to speak for them even if you cannot. Let's walk away from the past and embrace the new.

Food and Fitness - a funny tale

About last night ......
Spot the bowl of Jollof rice(it was emptied at the end of the evening), it was an international night with church family, it was great, it was a great atmosphere in their presence, we shared food, laughter, love and some positive words on God and life. We played games , I took on some activities to highlight how we can best understand each other and how we need to align our thinking patterns positive as Christians and as an individual, I did these through interactive activities which everyone loved as it was really impactful . We also danced to our local dance moves from our various countries as we played music from our local tribes - I had to do one from the Igbo land and had to let them know that in Africa most of our dances are done with our waist - it was fun watching all the dance moves from different countries, there was Syria, Italy, Japan, Nigeria , Spain, France Ghana, etc as we let lose ( no recordings were done because we had to save your eyes from being hurt 🤣🤣 and ourselves ofcourse)

Knowing it was an evening of food and fun I decided it was wise that I wore a free flowing outfit to hide my stomach after the meal 🤣🤣, trust me to be careful on this matter. And you all know by now that it’s no news that I love good food , oh no! And I found some great hearts that love food too !
We rounded up the evening and I with the friend that I went with, went out to seat by the rotonde fountain and as we were out there sipping on drinks and snacks from the event while we let our hair down, took of my shoes and talked about God and our future dreams and goals , poking fun at ourselves in the cool winds of the night , we also saw some friends that we chatted with. Its pastmidnight at this point and as I got up to go, I think I must have stood in an awkward manner that revealed a bulge in my stomach, then a man that was seating beside us obviously drunk as a bull decides to ask me if I was pregnant...... 😑

First reaction , I laughed 🤣🤣🤣, . Then I thought to myself , ‘pregnant ke ! ‘Will you mind your business??’ 🙄😩😅. So I decide to play along , he asks if it’s a boy or girl , I said twins, a boy and a girl , trust me if I have to do this I have to let him know it’s nations that I carry 😆and he continues rambling and I can’t understand his slurry speech but as we were leaving my friend tells me that he said , she should take care of me because I am pregnant 😆😆, oh Lawd! My friend tells me he is just drunk and not telling the truth ...

But, Fast forward to this morning , Long story short! I woke up with push ups and running, like my life depended on it, this stomach will not disgrace me , I said to myself ..... Nooo🤣🤣
Now what to eat? I can’t die 🤣🤣🤣😩

Now I know that Dandruff is a common problem for many ladies and for a longer time this week, I have found myself talking with a lot of people about dandruff mostly complaints of course. ….. Now, having suffered from it myself, I decided it is important that I spend some time writing and educating us on it briefly.

First, let’s start with an understanding of what Dandruff is.

Although the cause of dandruff is not completely understood, it is currently theorized that one of the main causes is a breakdown of the scalps natural lipid barrier, leaving it more exposed to infection by the microscopic yeast that is commonly found in the scalp. Now, when the yeast overgrows, it leads to an inflammatory response that kills off scalp cells at a high rate, which in turn sloughs off in sticky patches and flakes. Those whitish flakes that you so much hate, sounds awful, right?

HOW CAN YOU IDENTIFY IT?

White or clear flakes on the scalp, through the hair, and on clothing.
Itchy scalp which may be red and inflamed.
Stinky Scalp

CAUSES

Dandruff often starts at puberty because as young and growing teens, body hygiene habits are yet to change to meet the challenges of newly accelerated sebum (You are allowed to use your dictionaries or wiki here …lool) production.
Stress (Yes, this!! So many people stressing daily over irrelevant things…STOP IT).
Poor hygiene and poor diet can make the scalp more susceptible to dandruff.
There are also those who can’t stand not eating sugar and oh, consuming food containing loads of carbohydrate cause high carbohydrate breaks down into sugar, so in essence, High sugar foods, in particular, are known to exacerbate yeast infections.

HOW TO GET RID OF DANDRUFF

Simple Treatments

The hair should be brushed regularly to loosen flakes and stimulate blood supply to the scalp, which will accelerate the natural immune response to infection.
There are a few habits you can develop and natural treatments you can use to treat dandruff.
First is through your Food intake or Nutrition: Reduce your intake of all forms of sugar and refined starches while treating for dandruff.
Cleansing: Massage your scalp thoroughly with your fingertips when shampooing. This will help loosen and remove any dead skin flakes and help prevent the infection from continuing. Wash your hair daily until the infection is cleared up.
Conditioning: Use a protective hair condition on the ends of hair only. Avoid getting conditioner on your scalp where it can clog pores and interfere with the healing of the skin.
Massage: Yes, massage your scalp several times a day with the pads of the fingers only, this will stimulate blood supply to the hair follicles and help loosen the dead skin flakes.
Brushing: Brush your hair thoroughly on a daily basis, this will help loosen and remove dead skin flakes, increase the smooth flow of sebum along the hair shaft, and increase blood supply to the hair follicles.
Wash Hands Before or After Brushing and Grooming Hair: This is an absolute must because most times the bacteria that lie in dirty hands are those that go in to cause the infections. Fungal infections of the skin are highly contagious, and it can easily re-infect and spread to other areas of the body. Do not itch your hair with dirty fingers, use a comb.

This is why it’s important to wash your hair daily, or weekly and to brush out any loose dandruff flakes – so that healthy areas of the scalp will not be infected. Washing your hands after brushing, massaging and grooming your hair will also help prevent reinfection or cross-infection.

Black Virgin Mary..... Sainte Marie de la Mer.

I am so sure some of you will be wondering what this is about and wondering if there truly is a black virgin Mary....(The mother of Jesus Christ), well if we look at history and the genealogy of the real Virgin Mary we can all agree that she was of the African origin and her skin colour was perhaps Black or Brown if you will like to say. Based on the fact that no one's skin in the world is truly of the black colour.

Recently, I had the opportunity to travel to a sacred location, one which I was indeed excited and intrigued about especially as I am a Christian and this site counts as one of the sacred places in

France. It was a trip that I was emotional about, part of my emotions you could say was ascribed to the origin and image of Saint Sara that was displayed in front of me as a Black woman of an African origin of course :) Location: Sainte Marie de la Mer(Camargue), France.

So who am talking about here ???

I am talking about Sainte Sara also known as Sara la Kali, the Sainte patron of the Gypsies. According to records, during the persecutions of early Christians, Lazarus and his sisters Mary Madeleine, Martha, Mary Salome (the mother of John and James), Mary Jacobe and Maximin were chased away from Palestine with the Bethany family in a small boat. They sailed through the Mediterranean sea and they arrived at the Coast of Camargue (Cote de Camargue), which was known as Gaul back then and now Sainte Marie de la Mer in France. Sainte Sara was said to be their accompanying servant who watched and prayed with the family. Though the new chapters of the bible speak nothing of Sainte Sara, the Galilean Testament of NSJC in the first or beginning of the second century spoke of her.

The colosseum, Rome at Night

Traveling for me has always been an antidote and a reliever, a time to appreciate the beauties of the world and be thankful. A time of intimate reflections on the beautiful features, creation, and masterpieces of the world created by visions and dreams from the hearts and minds of men deposited by God into humans. The intricacy with which some of the works of men have been created around the world is simply unbelievably impressive.

It was with this and more in my heart that I viewed Rome in all of its glory during my recent visit. An exceptional city buzzing with a stench of power from its past days of glory and thriving finance from its decades of power relationships. Every wall and painting in Rome told thousands of astonishing history, some of love, power, war or conquests. From the all famous Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Vatican City and even the narrow streets hosting homes as old as the 16th century and great Gelato bars and hot chocolates that tasted like they are made in heaven, Rome is a city built on Rock. Will I visit again? Of course yes. Will I advise anyone to visit? Yes, yes and yes...

There is a lot to be told about this city and to view in Rome, some of which I hoped I could tell you but due to some technical errors in my phone, I lost all pictures of over 300 that I took in Rome and not even Apple could save me. It, of course, made me sad for days but I encouraged myself in the Lord.....lool. I even had a video made of Julius Caesar's grave where he was cremated (pic below), which had flowers and coins laid on it.

Now enough of the glory of Rome, I must tell you of a sad moment I had while there, one I felt in my opinion of Rome brought the bars low. Before I start I have to let you know that I am a proud African and I believe only in the existence of one race and that is the human race.

While I will travel to Rome again with my lovely self, my baby bump and my adorable Husband this year, 2019(let's all say amen to these prayers..). I hope to not encounter the same "Airport treatment " again.

So I was in line just for the hand luggage check, excited and well tired at the same time after walking over 100 km during my visit to Rome and yet happy to be heading home. Suddenly in front of me, I heard a man clothed in all black, trousers and top, with a few accessories on looking like some supervisor from a Mafia group and shouting in Italian (By the way did I tell you that I love the Italian language? Oh I do, it sounds like music to my ears... excuzzzy...lol) at the immigration security officer who was telling him to go back through the scan machine again for the second time. You wouldn't blame the lady for trying to do her job but the guy was not having it and I could feel he was saying to her that if she should make him try the machine for the third time, she will not be pleased.

Huh! oh dear!! boy, was I surprised at his audacity to a security immigration agent, I mean in most countries, these people will set you aside fast and do further checks on him but not in this case. Anyway, the scanners beep again, this time severally and loudly and I was just right behind him and I instantly moved through the scanner after he had passed through, see I was caught up in all the drama that I just moved automatically, not wanting to miss the action. ...lol

Immediately, an officer points to me, and motions with his hands that I move back to walk and while also speaking in Italian, of course, I didn't understand the language but I moved back. By the way, the Italian guy was still angry and was saying he wasn't ready to go back through the scanner, without much ado and just a few exchanges from the immigration lady in front of him, they let him go.

So now, it's my turn to get scanned and after taking off all necessary items as required by the immigration staff and just as I walk through the scanner, I hear a small beep and I muttered, oh dear, as usual, being an avid reader, I am now aware that sometimes, here and there I usually beep in these scanners.

Immediately, the female immigration woman stops me and tells me to take off my earrings as I walk towards her, then they(now two officers) ask that I stand on a separate scanner which scanned my shoes, and they took swipes from my hand luggage to scan on a separate machine and after 2 to 3 minutes of scanning they found nothing, at this time, I had turned the shoe and leg scanner to my private game as I moved my feet freely on the platform...... I can't be bothered by their stupidity, hahaha.
While performing the scan, I began to think, why in the world was I singled out for such long and deeper search when some other guy who was just ahead of me beeped severally but was let go without any further search? Was this a categorical separation for further search because I am black or what would you call it? Is it a case of corrupt practices? So many thoughts ran through my head about the situation that if I wrote about it all, I would write an epistle. Well, I was sad for a brief second at the thoughts and the scene that I was confronted with but I soon came off the thoughts and went about my journey. Now, what do you think was happening here?

However, for me what I know from this event is that I have refused to be made to feel lesser than I am by any man, country or its laws especially as I have not broken any of their laws, but I have gathered that this world is not my own and no matter what the various reasons that people or countries may have for treating me differently and wrongly as a result of my skin color, accent or dialect, I refuse to be bordered by it, I chose to ignore these people because they don't know better.
As long as I exist on this earth, it means I am supposed to be here and such doggy behaviours do not count towards my purpose. And if ever you have faced any of such kinds of behaviour do not be bordered by such actions but make sure that you are not breaking the laws :)
