A great way to get into art is by working with mixed-media. You can incorporate your scrapbooking stuff (you know EVERYONE has some!) and a lot of things just lying around the house. A great book to get you started is Printmaking + Mixed Media: Simple Techniques and Projects for Paper and Fabric. Start with a few of these techniques and before you know it, you've started making your own way!
