However, as a facebook user, I can guarantee you, indisputably, that that all the credits that the facebook users have earned, till date, are not for free. As a matter of fact, in no way there can be a switch, which one can simply click in order to earn complimentary credits.
A number of individuals have received free credits on facebook, devoid of paying cash for them. However, in order to win the free credits, they had to participate in quizzes and surveys. The payment is extremely low for such types of free credit techniques, as a result, you truly must think twice prior to even contemplating about utilizing them. In addition, not each and every company that asserts to offer the complimentary credits, in actual fact will remain faithful to their promises. As a result, you are required to inspect every company separately and find out whether or not there is someone whom you are familiar with has made use of the websites, previously.

First of all, dwell on the fact that whether you actually require the credits. There are large numbers of games, which you can take part in, absolutely for free, devoid of having to be bothered regarding purchasing credits in order to play them. In case, you have already made up your mind that you need credits badly, in that case please choose a reliable source to make the payment in favor of them.
It is always advisable, to buy facebook credits, simply by means of PayPal. This technique, as you know is 100% safe and legalized and it guarantees that you will receive your credits towards the end. There is nothing in this world that you can gain entirely for free, hence, always try to play safe.

The New York Post quoted some postings targeting the stars under ‘Why We Hate You” title. Heather Mills: “Being that Paul McCartney is the most famous living celebrity . . . wouldn’t you think [he] could at least score a broad with two legs?” Brody Jenner: “No apparent skills other than [a] winning smile, good hair, and scoring chicks. Career high point: recently beat up . . . Joe Francis.”Madonna:
“This broad has more veins popping out of her than [Sylvester] Stallone . . . plus, the worst fake English accent we’ve ever heard.” Kanye West: “Because you are hands down the most arrogant, least talented, and the most loathsome guy in music. Luckily for Kanye there is a guy named Chris Brown.”Paris Hilton: “There are so many reason to hate her, it almost isn’t fair. She’s a talentless fame-whore [and] easier to spread than Skippy Smooth . . . just plain vacant.” Kevin Federline: “10 points for nailing Britney [Spears] in her prime, but you lose the whole game for looking like you ate your kids, for trying to be a white rapper, and for sucking up perfectly good oxygen.”The Jonas Brothers: “These girly-boys remind us of three other irritating teen queens from the ’90s who had one huge hit, sold millions of records, were wildly famous for about 10 minutes, and then disappeared . . . Remember Hanson?” Amy Winehouse: “God definitely has a sick and twisted sense of humor, matching that voice with [her] face, mind and body. Watching Amy is like listening to Heidi Montag sing — painful, yet morbidly entertaining. We predict a minimum of two more trips to rehab.”
The only option you have with Facebook is to use the Video application in order to upload your videos (stored in your PC, transfer them from your mobile phone or record them directly) to your profile. Most popular formats (avi, mpeg, mpg, flv, wmv etc’) are supported. To insert a video into your profile follow the directions provided below:
1. Login to Facebook.com.
2. Under your Applications click Video.
3. If you don’t have the Video application, you will have to click the Application button. Then search for the word ?video.? Then click on video, and on the video page click Add video to your Facebook account.
4. Now that you are in the Video application you are free to upload videos.
5. When you find a video you would like to share with your Facebook friends, simple click the add button and confirm it being added to your profile.

Michael Jackson, for whom fans once died to see him perform live are now gathering to attend his memorial. Hundreds of thousand of his fans are assembling to give their king of pop a last commemoration. How can Facebook get behind in honoring the greatest musical legend of all? Michael Jackson is the most popular celeb on Facebook beating Barak Obama with around 7 million fans on his fan page. Just after his death, his fan page observed the highest lift in its fan base jumping from 80,000 to 6.4 million.
Fan page grew as fast as 20 fans per second and even more in high traffic hours. Michael Jackson’s page with continuing growth is considered to be the largest assemblage of his fans on the web that any of the celebrities have ever received.

Everyone’s flying to Los Angeles for Michael Jackson’s memorial, while CNN partnerships with Facebook for an online live commemoration ceremony. Just like the two giants colligated for the live streaming event of presidential inauguration, they come together again for Michael Jackson. Fans all over the world will obviously not be able to attend the ceremony but online streaming through Facebook’s live stream widget will be a sigh of relief for them. This event might be the massive event for Facebook as already about 50,000 people have registered for the event. Even though Michael Jackson’s fan page isn’t advertising the event but it’s most predictable that all those 7 million fans will be joining in for the event as well while CNN is already promoting the event on its official website. Millions of RSVP’s will bring in many more people on board and this event might be the most memorable for Facebook as well.

All you need to do is simply, login to your Facebook account, then click Account and from the Deactivate section choose Deactivate. That was easy, isn’t it? The only caveat is that Facebook won’t actually wipe out your account but just keep it inactive. Therefore if you want to permanently delete your account, you should manually do the following:
1. Delete your photo
2. Delete Comments and messages you wrote
3. Delete your friends from your friends list.
4. Leave all your networks and groups you have joined.
5. Delete all your photo albums
If you want to reactivate your account, just login to Facebook with your email and password. You’ll be then instructed on the procedure to follow in order to reactivate the account.
<![endif]-->
From TV to Tivo and Hulu, from the mall to Amazon and eCommerce and from newspaper carriers and delivery trucks to online syndication and subscription - distribution of goods, services and information has changed a lot thanks to the internet. Subscription to syndicated publications hasn't changed nearly as much yet as it could in the future, though. Services like MyYahoo and iGoogle saw some traction and many readers here may have a Google Reader account, but dedicated RSS (really simple syndication) feed reading services have never lived up to their potential to become a mainstream phenomenon. These days many people say they just wait until links get shared on Twitter and they never use a feed reader at all. Late last week Facebook threw its hat in the ring and called on users to use its service as a news feed reader. There are a number of reasons why Facebook could be the strongest online subscription option yet.

If you publish content on the web and are looking for maximum distribution, you probably know that Facebook is the promised land. The site is about 10 times as big as Digg or Twitter but so far has been less focused on sharing and clicking links. If Facebook can become the go-to place for hundreds of millions of users to find news (and that seems quite likely, doesn't it) then the company is going to be in a very good position. Last week, Facebook's Malorie Lucich posted to the company blog encouraging users set up their Facebook accounts for news reading. Lucich suggested becoming a "fan" of news organizations that publish to Facebook, then adding those connections to a dedicated "list" that only displays updates from news sources. You can subscribe that way to ReadWriteWeb here for example, to the New York Times, to the Environmental Justice Foundation or to thousands upon thousands of other organizations that publish regularly, usually with RSS under the hood.

Facebook could make some interface changes that would make this news-reader model all the easier, but this use case is quite compelling already. Facebook will never replace a dedicated RSS reader (or 5) for serious professional use but the fact is that the vast majority of people online have not begun to take advantage of the powerful subscription options that the web now allows. Online syndication has huge disruptive potential, not the least of which is access to larger audiences for smaller voices than they've ever been able to access before. Is Google Reader better than Facebook for reading feeds? Maybe. There are RSS readers that are better than Google Reader, too. But in terms of change-the-world feed-reading mass adoption - it's most likely to be Facebook that gets millions of mainstream users on board.

Facebook is a publishing, syndication and subscription platform where the interests of the reader, the publisher and the platform provider are all in sync. That's powerful. Subscription through Facebook may be sterile, hermetically sealed and controlled by one too-powerful communication company but it works. Facebook clearly has an opportunity to become the subscription mechanism of choice for hundreds of millions of readers and for millions of publishing organizations. As CNET reports, the legalese states explicitly:

“You will not post content or take any action on Facebook that infringes or violates someone else’s rights or otherwise violates the law… We can remove any content or information you post on Facebook if we believe that it violates this Statement.” So unless you took that celebrity photo yourself or bought the rights to it, it’s probably infringing on someone’s copyright.

But while you were explicitly violating FB terms of service by changing your profile picture to that of Darth Vader and then to Angelina Jolie before settling on Lassie, the social network didn’t really think it was an issue. Reports CNET:

“Users are responsible for the content they post, but as always, Facebook will respond to requests for removal that it receives from copyright holders,” spokeswoman Brandee Barker said in an e-mail to CNET. “In this case, we have received no such requests.”

http://blogs.discovermagazine.com

This was followed a year later by $12.7 million in venture capital from Accel Partners, and then $27.5 million more from Greylock Partners. A leaked cash flow statement showed that during the 2005 fiscal year, Facebook had a net loss of $3.63 million. With the sale of social networking website MySpace to News Corp on July 19, 2005, rumors surfaced about the possible sale of Facebook to a larger media company. Zuckerberg had already said he did not want to sell the company, and denied rumors to the contrary. On March 28, 2006, BusinessWeek reported that a potential acquisition of Facebook was under negotiation. Facebook reportedly declined an offer of $750 million from an unknown bidder, and it was rumored the asking price rose as high as $2 billion.

In September 2006, serious talks between Facebook and Yahoo! took place concerning acquisition of Facebook, with prices reaching as high as $1 billion. Thiel, by then a board member of Facebook, indicated that Facebook's internal valuation was around $8 billion based on their projected revenues of $1 billion by 2015, comparable to Viacom's MTV brand, a company with a shared target demographic audience. On July 17, 2007, Zuckerberg said that selling Facebook was unlikely because he wanted to keep it independent, saying "We're not really looking to sell the company... We're not looking to IPO anytime soon. It's just not the core focus of the company." In September 2007, Microsoft approached Facebook, proposing an investment in return for a 5% stake in the company, offering an estimated $300–500 million. That month, other companies, including Google, expressed interest in buying a portion of Facebook.
On October 24, 2007, Microsoft announced that it had purchased a 1.6% share of Facebook for $240 million, giving Facebook a total implied value of around $15 billion. However, Microsoft bought preferred stock that carried special rights, such as "liquidation preferences" that meant Microsoft would get paid before common stockholders if the company is sold. Microsoft's purchase also included rights to place international ads on Facebook. In November 2007, Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing invested $60 million in Facebook. In August 2008, BusinessWeek reported that private sales by employees, as well as purchases by venture capital firms, had and were being done at share prices that put the company's total valuation at between $3.75 billion and $5 billion. In October 2008, Zuckerberg said "I don't think social networks can be monetized in the same way that search did... In three years from now we have to figure out what the optimum model is. But that is not our primary focus today."

The court order demands he “immediately cease nd desist any further libelous and slanderous written claims” about the company. The company has lost many business accounts due to the Facebook group, according to company President Joseph Bird.

According to Kalamazoo News, the WMU aviation student started the group after his Saturn SL2 was towed from a parking spot near campus. His car was legally parked and he had his parking sticker clearly marked, but when he went to get his car back, the front of the car was damaged and the sticker removed. On top of that, T&J charged him $118. He is asserting that T&J actually broke into the car and removed his sticker so they could tow him and then charge him$118.
This would seem a bit weird if others hadn’t joined the group and say they had found the exact same thing done by T&J parking, and this led to a lot of people posting on the group. T&J alleges Kurtz is part of a “crusade to post verbal and written claims … with allegations that are untrue and/or dishonest and without merit”, and that the company is losing business. The company has a Better Business Bureau rating of F in Western Michigan, and a report shows a pattern of “complaints in which consumers allege the company towed vehicles in error when either the vehicle had the required parking pass, or the vehicle was not parked in a designated no parking area.”

http://www.allfacebook.com
by Neil Vidyarthi

This follows a similar problem in February when some users had their inbox exposed to other people. Several users posted upset tweets on Twitter about the situation - some limited to the very succinct “not fixed, wtf.” The problem is apparently fixed now, but the issue is that some Facebook users have their email addresses marked as private in their profile settings, and yet other users were able to see this information.
Valleywag, who says that the problem lasted for around 30 minutes, has screenshots of tweets related to this incident, along with some much angrier, NSFW quotes off of one Facebook user’s Wall.
Looks like it’s not enough for users to take action to prevent Facebook accounts from being hacked when the site is exposing user details for them. Mashable received a confirmation email from Facebook saying that this was a bug in a regular code push. With repeat incidents such as this, it’s obvious that the company’s QA (Quality Assurance) process is lacking, but with 400M+ users to satisfy, and infrastructure to constantly scale up, it’s no doubt a challenging task.
Did you notice anything amiss in your or a friend’s account last night? Have you had other privacy issues with Facebook? Do you feel that setting your privacy options in your profile is too complicated? Or do you think that no one cares about privacy on Facebook, mirroring something their CEO Mark Zuckerberg is said to have uttered recently?

By : Raj Dash
http://www.allfacebook.com

The application automatically tags your friends walls with antivirus-like images but doesn’t really accomplish anything. Ironically it doesn’t even appear to manipulate its results, it just reuses the same image (pictured to the right) over and over again.
As F-Secure points out, “once installed on one friend’s account, this application tags 20 friends into a picture”. While it doesn’t claim to truly solve any problems, the application is misleading enough. My guess is that Facebook will simply remove this application if it hasn’t been removed already, however more important is simply to avoid any application that claims to be a Facebook Antivirus.
Not only is the image misleading, but it also includes Facebook branded icons. Most users have figured out that this application accomplishes absolutely nothing but if you happen to get tagged in a photo by one of your friends, don’t fall for this trick: avoid installing any Facebook antivirus applications. While we’re not sure that there’s any damage done by this application, there’s no benefit of installing it as it will spam all your friends.
Has this image been showing up in your profile? The only one I would have guessed is @aplusk. Based on the number of Fans, here are the most popular:
1. Vin Diesel
With over 5,000,000 (Yes, Five Million) Fans, Vin Diesel is the most popular by a long shot. His posts are candid and he gets thousands of comments on every post that he leaves. As interactive as I can imagine a celebrity Facebook page.

2. Dr. House (Hugh Laurie’s character on the House TV show)
4,200,000+ Fans and ZERO posts by him. How does that work? There is a Wall full of posts from his fans about how much they love him and his show but nothing from the actor or the show itself.

3. Megan Fox
4,000,000+ Fans for the Transformers movie star. Her page has multimedia, from glamour shots to interviews, but only 4 or 5 posts since she joined in August, 2008 and no actual communication from the star herself.

4. Adam Sandler
3,300,000 Fans, all of whom are looking at a page full of promotion for his new movie, Funny People and no communication from Sandler himself.

5. Ashton Kutcher
2,852,000 Fans for @aplusk on Facebook (beating out his Twitter Follower count!). Pretty consistent multimedia stuff, from photos to trailers to projects, both from him and from his wife Demi Moore. Thankfully he does not stream his Twittering onto his Fan Page.

6. Jackie Chan
2,685,000+ Fans. It’s mostly bi-weekly updates about whatever is going on in his life- photos and videos that have been posted since May.

7. Michael Phelps
2,600,000+ Fans. Does Facebook NOTES with photos and videos about his travels and competitions that it seems like he writes himself. Good to see someone utilize the NOTES function consistently and well.

8. Roger Federer
2,439,000+ Fans. Very active with lots of personal comments and the occasional NOTE, he recently asked for questions from Fans and got 28,000+ responses/comments.

9. Selena Gomez
2,368,000+ Fans. She is the only other celebrity besides Vin Diesel who is frequently updating with personalized messages- she has fun comments and gets thousands of comments. Great fun to follow.

10. Shaq
While not actually the 10th most popular by fans, he is a force on Twitter with over 300,000 Followers and uses Facebook just as vigorously. Rich with multimedia like videos and pictures, Shaq is as fun and entertaining on Facebook as he is on Twitter. He gets the 10 slot just because he is a social media powerhouse.

Today, the deal is official. The purchase price is $275 million in cash, with $25 million in “equity retention arrangements,” according to the press release

, as well as “a maximum of $100 million” based on meeting performance milestones over the next two years. The significance is that EA, one of the largest video-game makers in the world, believes that its future is tied up with social gaming. Playfish has distinguished itself by creating well-polished social games and gaining tens of millions of users.
In fact, as Inside Social Games readers know, we broke the story around a month ago. From our first article: We have a few more details on what has supposedly been happening with Playfish. A reliable industry source says EA may have even acquired the company several weeks ago, with an announcement possibly happening in the next few weeks. We believe that Playfish could be on track to make as much as $75 million this year.

Source :
www.insidefacebook.com
