The Challenges:
More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
You will likely be playing ten to twenty games today. The average number of kills that a decent play registers in a game is like around twelve kills. Keep up this number and, even if you win ten straight games, you will pretty much have this challenge finished. If you finish the "Who's the Big Winner?" and "Make a Wish..." challenges and still need kills, jump into a game of Grifball and you should be able to rack up a good thirty or so kills.

Go Right Ahead Folks - Earn a First Strike in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR

You can earn a First Strike by scoring the first kill of a Round in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. You do not need to get the first kill of the game if the game has multiple rounds. Living Dead, which I am urging you to play for the "Make a Wish..." challenge, is a great gametype to do this in as the games have three rounds, which means three chances for you to score a First Strike.

Make a Wish... - Earn a Running Riot in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 5343cR

A "Running Riot" in multiplayer Matchmaking is fifteen kills in a row with a death or the end of a round. Have no doubts about it, this will be challenging to complete in any playlist, though it is definitely easier in some. Living Dead is likely your best bet or a playlist like Squad Slayer if you get really low-skilled opponents. I would also expect for this to take you a good handful of games to complete. Do not get frustrated and also do not worry about scoring wins in Living Dead as it is extremely difficult due to it being a free-for-all with eight players. Try to camp some but also stick near your teammates so they can guard your back.

Who's the Big Winner? - Win 10 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 5343cR

There is not much I can say for this challenge as a lot of it is up to personal preference. Some people are good in certain gametypes and some people are good in others. There really is no set standard for a gametype everyone excels at. There are some points, however, that can help you secure some wins. First off, play with friends. You will likely communicate better and work as a team more efficiently. Secondly, play in gametypes with only two teams no bigger than five players. The more players you add in, the more irrelevant you are, and more teams means lower odds that you are on the winning one. Thirdly, take breaks. You could possibly end up playing over twenty games today, or more if it does not go well. Take breaks so you do not get frustrated and start playing poorly due to your frustration.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
Another Thursday of Wonderful Firefight Challenges as is the custom. Nothing here should surprise you and be prepared to play a ton of games in Firefight Matchmaking today. This challenge, asking you to hit a hundred and twenty kills is no sweat at all. There are two challenges alone that get you enough kills as "...And Recreation" has you getting a hundred and twenty-five and "Just Holdout" has you hitting a thousand. The only question is who figured out these credit values.

Just Holdout - Kill 1000 enemies on Holdout in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3000cR

Holdout is one map that we have grown entirely too familiar with as it was once the best place to get vehicle kills in Firefight Matchmaking. That is no longer the case as Dropships have returned to Firefight, but you will be getting familiar with this map again, nonetheless. A thousand kills will likely take you about nine to ten games. Each game will get you about a hundred and twenty kills. I would go with gametypes like Gruntpocalypse or 2X Score Attack as those games go really fast. Holdout is a small map, too, which should make everything a little easier. Get ready for the long haul with this one. And the real issue here is why the "Covenant-cide" challenge, asking for a hundred and twenty five kills is three thousand, two-hundred credits and this challenge asking for nearly ten times that number is only three-thousand credits. That's a big WTF there.

On the Sixth Respawn... - Complete a Firefight Matchmaking game with fewer than 5 deaths. - 2000cR

This is a pretty simplistic challenge and can be done easily in any of the ten to twelve games you might need to play today. Note that the challenge stipulates that you survive a game, not a certain number of rounds or anything, but just a complete game no matter how long it is. I have tried this before, but letting the generator explode in Crashsite does not count as a complete game. You have to survive or beat all the waves. You will be doing this anyway for the "Just Holdout" and the "...And Recreation" challenges so do not worry about this one.

...And Recreation - Kill 125 enemies on Beachhead on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1100cR

Beachhead is actually one of my favorite maps since you, typically, have a secure zone from which you can lay down concentrated bases of fire to any part of the map. There is also the elevation advantage and the pristine sightlines. The map, however, is also very large meaning that it will take longer to wipeout all your enemies. A hundred and twenty-five kills, however, will take a single game if you are lucky and score every kill in 2X Score Attack and get a drop-pod. There is a definite possibility that you will fall short a few kills do be prepared for a second game on this wonderful map.

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
You should have no problem completing this challenge as the other challenges today more than take care of it. "Heroic Overwatch" has you bringing in a hundred and fifty kills while "Cannon Fodder" has you bringing in another seventy-five kills. Ignoring however many odd kills you get from the "Multiplier" challenge, you should already have this well taken care of. Just relax and move onto the other challenges for today.

Heroic Overwatch - Kill 150 enemies on Overlook on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3000cR

This challenge will require you to complete two games of Score Attack on the map Overlook in Firefight Matchmaking. A typical game will get you about a hundred and twenty kills and then you have about thirty left over. I would aim for Gruntpocalypse or 2X Score Attack with Sniper and Rocket Attack being close second. For the second game, you can play a full match or, if you are lucky enough to see the gametype come up for this map, you can play a game of Crashsite. Crashsite will allow you to get just the kills you need and then

Cannon Fodder - Kill 75 infantry-class foes in the Campaign today. - 1100cR

The easiest way to complete this challenge is to simply play through campaign on Heroic difficulty and try to rack up the kills. Grunts are considered to be Infantry-class foes and they are plentiful in the first few levels. You can possibly even get this done on Winter Contingency, but there is a chance you will need to wait until ONI: Swordbase to finish off the challenge. Remember that you do not need to actually score the kill. As long as you deal damage to the Grunt, you AI teammates can score the actual kill but you will still get credit for it.

Multiplier - Earn 2 multikills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR

You should be able to get this in a regular game in multiplayer Matchmaking. No special playlist is needed and there really is no special strategy. Score either two Double Kills or a Triple Kill as either of those two scenarios will get you this challenge. If you are really having a bunch of trouble, head to Grifball to get a bunch of multikills. Problem solved.

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 5343cR
A hundred and fifty kills will be very easy to accomplish today as the other challenges will pretty much take care of it for you. "A Friend in Need" will have you playing a game of Firefight Arcade which will bring in about a hundred and twenty kills, "Close Talking" will bring in probably about thirty kills, and finally "L.D. Exodus" will bring in about fifty to eighty kills depending on how you play it. Overall, another challenge to simply not worry about. Move one buddy.

A Friend in Need - Earn 10 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
For this challenge you will need to play either Firefight Doubles or Firefight Arcade. The point is that you need to have a teammate and you need to at least attempt to communicate to that teammate that you are going for ten assists. You will need to deal at least forty percent damage to an enemy and have your teammate kill it to register an assist. Help your teammate get some too if he/she asks as it will make it easier for everyone. Please, do not be a jerk to people as they will likely just be a jerk back.

L.D. Exodus - Complete Exodus, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck on. - 5343cR

It seems that almost every day now, or just about every other day, we are getting these challenges asking us to complete these "L.D." versions of the levels without dying. These challenges are just slightly watered down LASO runs that take some of the hardest parts of LASO and throws them at you. Now, Exodus is really one of the more difficult levels but it is still doable, even with the skulls. You can also die as much as you want regardless of the challenge. Play through and do not worry about dying and, before you activate the missiles as the last objective, Save and Quit to the main menu. Then hit Resume Campaign to start up right at that point. Hit the button and end the level without dying and this challenge should be yours.

Close Talking - Earn 20 kills with close quarters combat in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3000cR

Grifball, per usual, is the best playlist in which to get close quarters combat kills. A close quarters combat kill is usually made by a Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword, Melee, or Assassination. Grifball will actually allow you to make all these types of kills and those are also pretty much the only ones you can make. You typically get about thirty kills in a game of Grifball so just finish a normal, even game and you should be all set. If the game is extremely one-sided, you will probably have some difficulty getting the kills, so just play another game afterwards.
A hundred and eighty enemy kills, whenever we see it, is a pretty easy number to hit thanks to the other challenge. Today is no exception at all. A hundred and eighty kills should come with no trouble at all as you will be playing Campaign for "Golden Opportunity" and the Weekly Challenge, one game of Firefight Matchmaking for the "Weapon Swap" challenge, and eight games of multiplayer Matchmaking for the "Credits for Completion" challenge. All in all, a pretty easy day.

Golden Opportunity - Find and kill the Gold Ranger-class Elite in any Campaign mission on Heroic or harder. - 5343cR

The easiest Gold Ranger-class Elite (or BoB) to kill in Campaign is on the mission ONI: Swordbase. Load up Rally Point Bravo on Heroic, which is before you make your way back to the Swordbase. Get on the Hog and gun it into the garage like area. Pick up the Target Designator that will be on your right and run up the ramp. To your left, there will likely be a dual-plasma-rifle-wielding-Elite. He is actually a Gold Ranger Elite, though he does not look like it. Nail him with the Target designator and watch him get annihilated. If he is still alive, follow up with some DMR shots to take him out.

Weapon Swap - Earn 10 sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game on Heroic or harder. - 2000cR

A spree in Firefight Matchmaking is ten kills uninterrupted by death or the start of a new game. You will have been given five sprees once you hit fifty kills in a row but, after that, they spread out the sprees. The next medal will be awarded at a hundred, then five-hundred, and finally a thousand. You only get about a hundred and twenty kills in a single game, so you will need to die on purpose. Once you hit fifty kills, let the enemy overtake you or kill yourself. This will restart the count and you just need to score another fifty kills in a row, or ten kills in a row five times, to finish off the challenge. Easy as hell and should only take a single game.

Credits for Completion - Complete 8 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2800cR

This will simply just require that you play through eight games in multiplayer Matchmaking. You do not have to win the games, but you also cannot quit, be kicked for team killing, or lose connection. Since eight games is a low number, at least relative to other times we have had this challenge, just play gametypes you enjoy and try to relax. Challenges are sure to get much harder later in the week as they did last week.

The Weekly Challenge:
Not Lough, High - Earn a score of 250,000 in any mission in the Reach Campaign. - 30000cR

We have had this Weekly Challenge once or twice before and it is actually really easy. What you are going to do is called Banshee hunting. You will load up New Alexandria and turn on the Iron, Tough Luck, Catch, Famine, and Thunderstorm skulls with scoring on. Basically, you will go around killing every Banshee and Phantom that you can find. The challenge we had before had a lower point total to achieve, which therefore took a shorter time and got you a larger time bonus. This time, you will need to hit a total of two-hundred and fifty thousand point in game since you will lose the time bonus with how long this takes. Just fly around as this is really easy. It will take about thirty minutes or so, but that is still faster than getting it through a regular playthrough. Look here for video of the method.

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
This challenge will take you two games to complete in Firefight Matchmaking. On average, you will score about a hundred and twenty kills in a complete game in Firefight Matchmaking if you play in the Score Attack playlist. These means that you will need to play two games and 2X Score Attack is a good gametype for this as is Gruntpocalpyse. However, I would urge you to make these two full games to help out with the "Blast Radius" challenge.

Freelancing - Earn at least 21 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2100cR
This and the "Up Close and Personal" challenge can be done really easily in a single game of Grifball. Grifball is a great gametype for scoring a massive amount of kills in a single game. Typically, you will get about thirty kills a game which is well above twenty-one. This gametypes will also allow you to get tons of close quarters combat kills as almost every kill in this gametypes is a close quarters combat kill. You will need three of those for the "Up Close and Personal" challenge. Multi Team is also another option as kills are plentiful, though hitting twenty-one can be pushing it. Hitting three close quarters kills will not be difficult though, as you can just melee three people.

Blast Radius - Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with grenades. - 1000cR
This challenge is why I am encouraging you to play two full games of Firefight for the "One Spartan Army" challenge. It is not too hard to get grenade kills in Firefight Matchmaking, but getting a lot of them can be challenging since you care so little Grenades. Basically, you will want to aim for at least twenty each game, but more if you can manage it. There will always be some grenades in your initial spawn and dying will get you some new ones too. This challenge is also a good reason to play 2X Score Attack as the lethal kill radius of the Grenades will be greatly increased. Should have no problem nailing this in two games.

Up Close and Personal - Kill 3 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1000cR
See "Freelancing."
The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3000cR
You will likely need to play some extra games to hit the fifty kills for this challenge but you may actually be fine due to the chances of needing extra games for the other challenge. You should be relatively close after the other challenges so just play whatever you want or try out some Grifball for a bunch of kills quickly. The choice is completely up to you but the main idea is to not focus too hard on this simplistic challenge.

Sticky Icky Icky - Earn 3 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1250cR
Multi Team is likely you best option for this challenge as it is one of the only playlists were you will find Elite Slayer. In Elite Slayer, you will always start with a Plasma Grenade. Due to all the possible targets around, getting kills is really not that hard. As well, go for a small map as it will be easier to hit targets with grenades over shorter distances. You should have no problem getting this done in a single game even if Elite Slayer does not show up. Just look for Plasma Grenades and try like crazy to stick people.

Deathless Pillar - Complete The Pillar of Autumn on Legendary without dying. - 5343cR
This is not actually a hard level, but it is a long level. Legendary difficulty, if you have been doing the challenge recently, likely is not that hard since other challenges have been requiring Legendary plus Skulls on. And, as usual with these challenges, you can die all you want while playing through the level. Once you get to the last objective, which will be firing the MAC cannon at the Covenant Corvette, you will need to Save and Quit the game. Then reload by hitting Resume Campaign and hit the cruiser. This will make the game think you finished the level without dying and give you credit for the challenge.

You Want This, Don't You? - Earn 14 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
I would suggest that you play either Team SWAT or Team Snipers for this challenge as both gametypes start you with precision weapons (the DMR and the Sniper respectively) and only have precision weapons on the map. Fourteen kills is likely the threshold of what most players will hit in a single game going to fifty kills. You might need to play a second game to hit fourteen kills. You may also want to try for some of the objective gametypes that pop up in these playlists as it will allow you to likely score much more than fourteen kills.

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 5343cR
As you need to hit at least a hundred and twenty-five kills today in Firefight Matchmaking for the "...And Recreation" challenge and then you need to complete the level Exodus on Legendary with other skulls on for the "L.D. Exodus" challenge, you should have no trouble hitting a hundred and fifty kills for this challenge. Why this challenge is worth five-thousand, three-hundred and forty-three credits, I have no clue. However, that is a far amount of credits and they are practically free.

Survivor - Earn 7 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
A Spree in Firefight Matchmaking is ten kills uninterrupted by death. You can get a spree every ten kills up until you hit fifty kills. After that, the next spree comes at a hundred, then five-hundred, and then a thousand. You will likely not be hitting those number in any game in Firefight Matchmaking. Instead you will have to die on purpose at around fifty or so kills to restart the sprees. This way you can just get twenty kills in a row, have the challenge done, and walk away with these easy credits.

L.D. Exodus - Complete Exodus, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck on. - 5343cR
Exodus is probably one of the more annoying maps due to all the Brutes. You do not see a lot of Brutes in this game, but when you do, they are irritating. This is actually the exact same challenge as L.D. Solace, so if you continued from last night's play through of that level, it should play right into this one. As well, like last night, you can die as much as you want. All you need to do is to Save and Quit before the final objective, which is launching the missiles in this level. Then hit Resume Campaign and complete the level for some easy credits and a step forward for the Flawless Cowboy Commendation.

...And Recreation - Kill 125 enemies on Beachhead on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1100cR
Beachhead is a great map for ranged combat. If you can get Sniper Attack on this map, you are probably set but I would also try for 2X Score Attack. Gruntpocalypse is also doable, but the Grunts move slowly and it is a large map. Now, on average, you will get about a hundred and twenty kills per game in Firefight Matchmaking. A hundred and twenty-five is on the outer edge, even if you get a drop-pod. Expect to play two games on the map, though the second game will likely only be for a couple kills.

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
You will have no problem hitting the required a hundred and eighty kills today due to the other Daily Challenge. First off, you will likely need to play two games of Firefight Matchmaking for the "Demon" challenge and then you will be playing through the campaign mission "Long Night of Solace." Those, coupled with the ten games you need to play for "Put Your Quarter Up," definitely have you taken care of.

Demon - Kill 40 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2800cR
The best gametype to get Elite kills in Firefight Matchmaking in is 2X Score Attack. You will able to get about twenty Elite kills in a single game as the final wave of all 2X Score Attack games has about twenty to twenty-five Elites. Clearly this will require to games for you to complete but even then you might fall short of forty kills so be prepared for a third game. The AR and the DMR really just tear through the Elites do to the increased damage so there is no real strategy, just shoot 'em.

L.D. Solace - Complete Long Night of Solace, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt, and Tough Luck on. - 8500cR
This is an annoying challenge because the level is so long and is quite difficult on Legendary with these skulls. Mythic doubles the health of all enemies, Thunderstorm upgrades them all, Tilt makes your weapons do less damage, and Tough Luck makes them dodge more often. The trick to this challenge is, however, that you can die as much as you want and still complete the challenge. You will get to the final part of the mission dying as much as you want, then before you meet Jorge behind the Pelican in the hangar, Save and Quit to the main menu. Then you will want to hit Resume Campaign and complete the final objective. You get to walk away with the credits and that is the end of it.

Put Your Quarter Up - Complete 10 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 1500cR
The trick to completing any number of games in a day is to stick to gametypes that you enjoy and that are fast. Typically, Team SWAT is one of the faster gametypes as players die so easily. Grifball can also be fast but can also be very irritating and long. Take a break in between the ten games and do not try to play them all in one sitting. You do not need to win the games but you just need to complete them so you also cannot get kicked, quit the game, or drop the connection.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
A hundred and twenty kills is about what you will score on average in a game in the Score Attack playlist. If you stick to gametypes like 2X Score Attack, Gruntpocalypse, Sniper, Rocket, or FRG Attack, you will likely hit about a hundred and twenty kills. There is also a high chance that you will fall just short of the number, however. If that happens, simply play a second game to secure the kills. If you are lucky, Crashsite will appear in matchmaking and you can get the kills you need and then die, or let the generator explode, to end the game.

Survivor - Earn 7 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
A Spree in Firefight Matchmaking occurs every ten kills. Once you hit fifty kills, you will have five sprees but the next spree will be coming at a hundred kills and then at five-hundred kills. This means that, to get seven sprees in a single game, you cannot stay alive the whole time. You will need to die on purpose to hit that seventh spree. Personally, I recommend dying after you hit fifty kills so you are maximizing all the spree potential. Since you only need seven, however, just make sure you get at least two more after you hit five sprees and the challenge is yours.

Huck It, Luck It - Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic with Cloud, Tough Luck, and Catch on. - 2000cR
As usual, for these quick campaign challenge requiring a certain number of skulls on Heroic, Nightfall will be your best bet as you can just run through the level hardly even needing to stop. Use this guide to show you where to run and what paths to take to get through the level unscathed. All in all, this challenge and level should only take you about seven to ten minutes to complete.

Killing Spree - Earn a Killing Spree in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
A Killing Spree in multiplayer Matchmaking is five kills uninterrupted by death of the end of a round. You can get this in practically any playlist though it will be easier in certain ones. My advice is to play in the Living Dead playlist. If you are a survivor at the start, you have a really good chance, depending on the map, of getting a Killing Spree. You just need to kills five Zombies in a row before they get you and the challenge is then yours. It is a simple as that.

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
As you will likely be playing three games of Firefight Arcade today, with seventeen games of multiplayer Matchmaking, followed by a run through of Tip of the Spear in Campaign on Legendary difficult, you should have no trouble at all hitting a hundred and eighty kills. That is also good news since these challenge will likely take you all day to complete and less on your plate is definitely better in my opinion. Take your time with these challenges and have patience, since they can be aggravating.

Support Structure - Earn 30 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
I am encouraging you to play Firefight Arcade for the Weekly Challenge so that should help in getting assists in Firefight matchmaking today. The key to getting assists is to communicate with your teammate. If the teammate knows that you are going for assists, I guarantee that he/she will have no problem in taking the kills from you. You need to deal at least forty percent damage to an enemy and then have someone else take the kill for it to count as an assists. I believe that this will take two to three games depending on your teammates.

The Love of the Game - Complete 17 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3700cR
This will be the hardest challenge of the day as seventeen games is an overly large request of players with the given reward, but there is not much that can be done about that at this point. Either way, you will want to stick to the fastest gametypes, like Team SWAT or Team Slayer on small maps, and play games in limited clusters. Do not try to play all seventeen games in on sitting as you will likely get extremely fed up and lose some of your sanity.

Deathless Spear - Complete Tip of the Spear on Legendary without dying. - 1800cR
On top of having to play multiple games of Firefight today and having to complete seventeen games in Multiplayer matchmaking, you will also need to play through one of the longer missions of the Campaign on Legendary difficulty without dying. That mission is not actually that hard and you can die as much as you want. Once you get to the final objective, which will be lowering the shields on the spire, you will want to Save and Quit the campaign and then Resume Campaign in the main menu. This will allow to finish the mission "without dying" and grab the credits.

The Weekly Challenge:

Ride the Wave - Complete 150 Waves in Firefight Matchmaking. - 30000cR
This is an extremely easy Weekly Challenge that should only take you, at most, ten complete games in the Firefight Arcade playlist. The challenge is asking you to complete a hundred and fifty waves in Firefight Matchmaking. First off, a game is divided into waves, rounds, and set. Five waves make up a round and three rounds make up a set. A new wave is started every time new enemies spawn. Now, a game in the Score Attack playlist will have five waves. If you use this gametype to try and complete the challenge, you will need to play thirty games over the week. However, a game in the Firefight Arcade playlist has sixteen waves including the bonus round. That comes out to a very easy ten games over the next week. Overall, play Firefight Arcade and you can have this challenge done in a day or two.

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 400 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
Four-hundred kills in Firefight Matchmaking will take you a total of four games to complete as you typically get about a hundred and twenty kills a game. I would personally recommend playing 2X Score Attack so you can work on the "J.H. Death Machine" challenge. After that, Gruntpocalypse and 2X Score Attack is still the best gametype for the challenge and are the fastest gametypes for Firefight Matchmaking. Have fun.

Participation Counts - Complete 4 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2400cR
A really easy challenge for Super Bowl Sunday. Four games will be really easy to complete and you will be playing a game or two for the "Triple Thrill" challenge. You just need to play another couple of games of whatever you choose. Personally, I would probably hit up some Grifball or Multi Team to rack up a bunch of kills. SWAT is my other option since the games are typically fast. Whatever you do is up to you.

J.H. Death Machine - Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Grenade Launcher. - 2000cR
This challenge is one of the reasons that I am suggesting you play 2X Score Attack. Basically, the Grenade Launcher is in one of the loadouts for the gametype. The forty kills do not all have to be done in a single game but can be spread over all four that you need to do today. Remember that the Grenade Launcher bounces it shots and is most effective when shot into groups. As well, 2X Score Attack increases overall damage so it has a more effective blast radius. You can get this done in a single game easily.

Triple Thrill - Earn any 3 Sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2000cR
The best way to get this challenge done is likely in the Living Dead playlist. The challenge does not stipulate that these need to be Killing Sprees, but they vary well may need to be. If not, you will hopefully be able to score two sprees every five kills if you are a survivor. You will get a Killing Spree and also a Zombie Killing Spree. If you happen to do all the kills with a shotgun, you will get a Shotgun Spree. That will take care of the challenge for you if it just requires Sprees. If it requires Killing Sprees, then Living Dead is still a good playlist. Just be patient and aim for the head.

The Challenges:Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
Unlike most of the other days this week, you will need to go out of your way to complete this challenge. "Light Fuse, Run Away" and "Cook 'em, Clean 'em!" will not lead to a lot of kills, especially as they can both likely be done during a game of Multi Team. "Office of Not Dying" is more of a question mark as you can get either a bunch of kills or fewer depending on how many times you die. You should be close to a hundred and eighty kills, however, so just play an extra game of Grifball to score some multikills for the Weekly Challenge and you will be fine.

Light Fuse, Run Away - Kill 4 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 500cR
Multi Team is probably your best option for this challenge as long as you are on a small map as players tend to cluster together for melee battles. Clearly, that is a great time to score Grenade kills but you need to be careful to through the grenade just before they start hitting each other, otherwise you will miss the kills. You need to get this done in a single game, but it should only take a single game to complete.

Cook 'em, Clean 'em! - Kill 10 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking while you're jet-packing. - 1200cR
There is a trick to getting jet-packing kills to count. The trick is that you need to actually be using the jet-pack armor ability as the kill is achieved. You cannot be falling and grenades while you were jet-packing only count if you are still jet-packing when the kills is achieved. This is not like the NBA, but more like the NHL. Puck must cross the goal line before the buzzer, not have been shot. Ten kills can be spread over two or more games and I would personally recommend Multi Team as it is easy to score kills and there is likely to be a jet-pack in one of the loadouts.

Office of Not Dying - Complete ONI on Legendary without dying. - 1600cR
As is usual with all of these challenge, you can die as much as you want and still complete the challenge. The trick is to play through the entire level, this time on Legendary, and die as much as you want. Just before you complete the final objective, which is taking out the Banshees and Phantom, Save and Quit the game. Then you will Resume Campaign and complete the mission without dying which will give you challenge completion. There might be some invisible Elites that you have to kill, but you should also have Rockets, so it will not be too hard.
This challenge, asking you to get twenty-five kills in multiplayer Matchmaking, is a freebie as you have the "Now I have a Machine Gun" challenge which is asking you to get seventy-seven kills in multiplayer Matchmaking. Clearly, seventy-seven is greater than twenty-five so you really do not need to worry about this challenge. Just take the free credits.

Now I have a Machine Gun - Earn 77 kills with automatic weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 4400cR
This challenge will likely take a large number of games to complete. Automatic weapons, which include the AR, Needler, Plasma Repeater, and the Plasma Rifle, are not as widely used as their precision brethren for killing in multiplayer Matchmaking. You will need to be only using automatic weapons for a number of games to get this challenge done. Multi Team is a great playlist for this challenge as everyone typically starts with ARs, there are a lot of enemies to kill, and people are constantly taking damage, which means they are easier to kill. Just try to only use automatic weapons and you should have the challenge done in about seven to eight games if you are averaging about ten kills a game.

Fourth Horseman - Earn 5 multikills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2500cR
You should be working on getting multikills for the Weekly Challenge so this challenge should be well taken care of, unless you already completed the Weekly Challenge. Remember that a multikill is two subsequent kills within four seconds of each other and you can stack them up to ten kills, which is nine multikills. I advise you to play Grifball as you can get a ton of multikills with relative ease. Multi Team will also be a good option since I am urging you to play it for the "Now I have a Machine Gun" challenge. The choice is up to you but either one will get the challenge done.

Three Dog Fight - Earn a Triple Kill in Multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2000cR
A Triple Kills, in multiplayer Matchmaking, is three consecutive kills within in four seconds of each other. As you can imagine, this does require some luck but it is hardly difficult and it is downright easy in certain playlists. You can hopefully get this while playing games in the Multi Team playlist for other challenge. However, if you are having trouble I would suggest playing some games of Grifball. A Triple Kill in Grifball is very easy and you can likely get it without even trying.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
The focal point of today's challenges will be the "Flat Tire" and the "A Heroic Breach" challenges. The other two challenges today are basically freebies, the first one of which being this one. A hundred and twenty kills in Firefight Matchmaking is typically what you would get in a single game of Firefight. You will be playing three or four games for the "Flat Tire" so there is no reason to worry about this challenge. Move on.

Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2343cR
This is easily one of the more irritating challenges that Halo Reach has seen and will likely try your patience today unless you now the right gametypes and maps to play in. You want to aim for the map Holdout as it is the only map to have a naturally spawning vehicle. Every two to four minutes a Banshee will spawn on the map. You can get from two to five Banshees to spawn per game if you make the clock tick down to zero. You need to play Sniper, Rocket, or FRG Attack as vehicle kills in the 2X Score Attack playlist do not count towards the challenge. Expect this challenge to take three to four games.

A Simple Spree - Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
This is another freebie challenge as you will get a bunch of streaks in Firefight Matchmaking. A streak in Firefight Matchmaking is ten kills in a row uninterrupted by death and should be easily attainable in any of the games you play today. Just focus on the other challenges today and get the free easy credits.

A Heroic Breach - Kill 100 enemies on Corvette on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
This will require a single game on the level Corvette in Firefight Matchmaking. I would suggest that you stay in the Score Attack playlist as you can easily score a hundred kills in any of the gametypes it might give you on Corvette. Clearly Gruntpocalypse and 2X Score Attack would be your preferred gametypes but you will be stuck with what Matchmaking offers up to you when the map shows up.

The Challenges:
Fire When Ready - Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 3000cR
For some reason, only three Daily Challenge were posted today. I do not know why, but I am sure that a fourth one will be posted once someone on the West Coast wakes up, sees it, and decides to fix it. For this challenge, scoring fifty kills will be relatively easy if you stick to challenges like Grifball, which you will also likely be hitting up for the Weekly Challenge. You can actually get this done in a single game as you can get thirty to fifty kills in a game, but do not be surprised if it takes two games.

Supporting Role - Earn 20 assists in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1500cR
To get assists in Firefight Matchmaking, you will need to play with a teammate. Unfortunately, most people in Firefight Matchmaking do not talk so communicating with them that you are going for assists can sometimes be a complete pain. I would stick to Firefight Doubles and just stay near your teammate. Plug in the mic in the hope that he/she is talking but at least express your intentions. You simply need to do an enemy forty percent damage before your teammate kills it to record an assist. This might take two games, but if you are focused then it should be doable in one game.

If It Bleeds... - Find and kill the Gold Ranger-class Elite in any Campaign mission on Normal or harder. - 5000cR
This is the same challenge we had yesterday but you are getting more credits for it. Allow me to repost: The easiest Golden Ranger-class Elite, BoB, to kill in campaign is during the level ONI: Swordbase. Start from Rally Point Bravo on Heroic and quickly make your way up to the garage. To the left near where you actually start the level, there is a chance that you will see a BoB fleeing to this area. Use the Target Designator which is at the base of the ramp and you should have no trouble scoring this very easy kill for the five-thousand credits.

The Challenges:
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 3000cR
You should really have no trouble completing this challenge today as a hundred kill in Reach will be easily covered by all the other challenges today. Even just partially working on the "Demon" challenge, by playing a single game of 2X Score Attack. Just ignore this challenge and accept the free credits.

Demon - Kill 50 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3000cR
The best gametypes for this challenge is 2X Score Attack in the Score Attack playlist. At the end of every game, the final wave is all Elites. You will likely get about twenty to twenty-five kills during the round. This means that you will need to play at least two games to hit the required fifty kills and maybe another if you fall short. Go for open maps like Beachhead in the hopes that a Drop-pod will come down and bring another four Elites to add to the numbers. Unfortunately, you are really limited by what games you are given.

Golden Opportunity - Find and kill the Gold Ranger-class Elite in any Campaign mission on Heroic or harder. - 5000cR
The easiest Golden Ranger-class Elite, BoB, to kill in campaign is during the level ONI: Swordbase.

Single Wield - Earn 77 kills with small arms weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2800cR
Head for the Team SWAT playlist and the gametype you will want is SWAT Magnums. In SWAT Magnums, the only weapon on the maps and in the loadouts, as you have probably guessed, is the Magnum Pistol. This counts as a small arms weapon and you will be able to score one-shot head-shot kills with this weapon thanks to it being SWAT. Multi Team will also be a good playlist for this challenge as you can score a bunch of kills with the Magnum and Needler there. Expect this challenge to take a decent number of games, possibly up to ten.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
This challenge is really a freebie, as they usually are. Typically, you will score about a hundred and twenty kills during a Firefight Matchmaking game in the Score Attack playlist. You might fall a little short, but be not worried as you will likely be playing two games of Firefight Matchmaking for the "Flat Tire" challenge. Either way, you should definitely hit two hundred and twenty kills in two games so move on to the "Flat Tire" challenge.

Flat Tire - Kill 5 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
This is one of those challenge that is exceedingly irritating if you are not in the right playlist. Actually, this used to be very easy until enemy spawning in Firefight Matchmaking was changed so there are basically no dropships. You need to go for this challenge on a level where vehicles spawn on their own. The only such level is Holdout where Banshees will spawn ever two to four and a half minutes. The idea is to make the game go down to the last seconds and you can possibly get up to five vehicles kills in a single game, though I would expect to get about two to three. As for the gametype, stick to Sniper, Rocket, or FRG Attack since, for some reason, 2X Score Attack vehicles kills do not count toward the challenge.

Five-time Champ - Win 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 4343cR
Winning any number of games for a challenge is not normally an enjoyable experience since nothing ever work out when you are really trying for it. It's like looking for a Lego piece in a big pile. You can never find that piece when you want to, though you have seen it a hundred times when you didn't need it. Anyway, you have to play seventeen games today for "The Love of the Game" challenge. As long as you score wins in about a third of those games, you will have this challenge completed. Just stick to gametypes you know and love and take breaks often so you do not get frustrated.

The Love of the Game - Complete 17 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3700cR
Harbor no illusions, this challenge will dominate your gameplay for today along with the always irritating "Flat Tire" challenge. I am a little shocked by the amount of credits given for this challenge, but we have to make do with what is given. Your goal will be to stick to the quick gametypes and, also, to win five games for the "Five-time Champ" challenge. This is really down to personal preference as well since, after seventeen games, you will be getting tired of any gametype. SWAT is one of the quicker gametypes, as long as it is on a small map, and even standard Team Slayer can go by pretty quickly. Take breaks every few games as doing seventeen in a row is not a good idea.

The Weekly Challenge:

Multiplicative - Earn 200 Multikills in multiplayer Matchmaking this week. - 25000cR
To get this challenge done over this week, you need to score two-hundred multikills overall in multiplayer Matchmaking. This comes out to a meager thirty multikills a day. Now, in multiplayer matchmaking, a multikill is two kills within four seconds of each other. You can string this along up to ten kills, but after that it simply stops. Getting ten kills in a row, all within four seconds of each other will get you nine multikills. Now, Grifball is likely your best option for this challenge, as it always is, since Multikills are exceedingly common in this playlist. You can score tons per game and you can even hit thirty in a single game. I would spend two or three games a day in this playlist and you will likely have the challenge done before Sunday.

The Challenges:
One Spartan Army - Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2250cR
This challenge will require you to play two games in Firefight Matchmaking. The first game can be whatever you want. Gruntpocalypse and 2X Score Attack on small maps will be the quickest and guarantee you the most kills. Sniper and Rocket Attack are good alternatives. For the second game, aim for Crashsite. Now, this is a gametype that is not seen too often but if you see it, jump on it as you can just die or let the generator explode to end the game. This saves you from having to play through an entire game once you already have the challenges completed.

Short, Controlled Bursts - Kill 200 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today. - 3000cR
Since this is the longer and more difficult challenge, I would recommend that you do "Roast 'em, Toast 'em" first and then start this challenge. Two hundred kills with automatic weapons is something that you will need to really try for, as most kills in campaign tend to come with precision weapons in my experience. I would start on Winter Contingency on Normal or Heroic and just go for it. You do not actually have to score the killing shot on each enemy, but just put some rounds on them and then let your AI teammates finish off the kills which you will be getting credit for. This will likely take well into the level ONI: Swordbase so be prepared for some dedicated game time.

Roast 'em, Toast 'em - Kill 10 enemies while jet-packing in Exodus on Normal. - 2400cR
Easiest way to complete this challenge is to load up Exodus at Rally Point Bravo, which will start you right before you pick up the jet-pack. Ten kills is easy enough to achieve and should not give you any trouble as enemies are pretty forthright in showing up. First of all, you will need to be actively using the jet-pack armor ability when the kill occurs. You cannot be falling and you cannot be out of the armor ability. Grenades are actually great for this as you can throw them into a crowd of Covies and then hit the armor ability to have all those kills register as kills while jet-packing. It really is that easy.

This is My Rifle... - Earn 60 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2700cR
This should only take you a handful of games to complete as the you will likely get about ten to fifteen kills a game with precision weapons if you are in the right playlist. First off, stick to Team SWAT or Team Snipers as both gametypes start you with precision weapons and those are the only weapons on the maps. Unless you are really good at Snipers, stick to SWAT since the games are faster and just require faster reactions. Remember that this is also the last day to work on the Weekly Challenge of getting two-hundred small arms kills.

The Challenges:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2000cR
Since you will be playing at least twelve games today for the "Who's a Big Winner" challenge, you should have no trouble reaching a hundred kills. You need to average at least nine kills a game though you will likely be playing more than twelve games so it is not a big issue. If you are having trouble getting kills, play Grifball where you can rack up about thirty to fifty kills in a single game.

Throwing Fireballs - Kill 7 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1400cR
Multi Team should almost always be your go to playlist for getting grenade kills. In Multi Team, players tend to get really close together and attempt to melee each other. This is a really good time to get grenade kills as long as you time it right. Getting seven kills in a single game can be tough however. Try for objective games if you can as those tend to last longer and you get more kills. Team Objective is also a good place for grenade kills. I would also recommend sticking players with Plasma grenades a lot.

Up Close and Personal - Kill 8 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1600cR
Close quarters combat kills are typically any kills with the Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, melee, assassination, or the Shotgun. Grifball is really your best option for this as every kills in that mode is a close quarters kills. However, Multi Team, which I am encouraging you to play for the "Throwing Fireballs" challenge, is also really good for close quarters combat kills. Though, do not go for the close quarters kills in the same game you are going for the grenade kills. If you do, you will likely get neither challenge completed.

Who's the Big Winner? - Win 12 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 10000cR
This will be the most difficult and aggravating challenge for today. This challenge is also quite odd since earlier this week the same challenge was for fifteen wins but only offered three-thousand credits. As I said for that challenge, this is pretty much dependent on your personal skill and what gametypes you enjoy. Try to play with friends that you are normally successful with and who you can rely on to actually try in win instead of just playing around. Take breaks throughout if you are frustrated or the wins are not coming.

The Challenges:
Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach. - 2343cR
A hundred and eighty kills is more than you will hit today doing the other challenges. What you will need is a good game or two of Firefight Matchmaking to bring in those missing kills. You can also work on the Weekly Challenge if you are still needing kills, or you can just play some games in Grifball to get some very easy kills. It is all up to you at this point.

T-Hug It Out - Kill 7 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 1400cR
This one can be done in multiple playlists. Close quarters combat kills are kills with an Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, Shotgun or melee kills. If you do not get it while working on the "Make a Wish..." challenge, you will be best off playing a game of Grifball for the close quarters kills. In Grifball, you can score about thirty to forty kills a game and all of them can likely be close quarters kill. Since that is definitely a larger number than seven, you should have no problem with this challenge. This will also be great for the "Fourth Horseman" challenge.

Fourth Horseman - Earn 5 multikills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 2500cR
Since I am encouraging you to play Grifball for the "T-Hug It Out" challenge, I am also encouraging you to go for the five multikills required for this challenge as they will come quite easily. A multikill, in multiplayer matchmaking, is a multiple number of kills, up to ten, each within four seconds of each other. Typically, I get about fifteen or twenty multikills in Grifball and that is about average. You should be able to hit the same and get this challenge done in a single game.

Make a Wish... - Earn a Running Riot in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. - 5000cR
Completion of this challenge requires you to score fifteen kills in a row without dying in multiplayer Matchmaking. This is, ultimately, very challenging and expect it to take you a couple games. In terms of gametypes, Living Dead is likely your best option as long as you are a survivor and you use a decent and legitimate camping spot. Remember to switch between the Magnum and Shotgun when necessary and to conserve ammunition for the long haul.

The Challenges:
Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking. - 3200cR
You will be play multiple games of Firefight Matchmaking today so this challenge will be done in very short order, if not within your first game. Typically, a game gives you about a hundred and twenty kills. The only reason you will not get this in your first game is because enemies sometimes kill themselves before you can get to them and forces you to wait another game to see this challenge completed.

Demon - Kill 40 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2800cR
I will urge you to work on the "Flat Tire" challenge and then return to this one. You will likely pick up about ten to twenty Elite kills while working on the Flat Tire challenge which will make this one easier. Aim for 2X Score Attack since, in the final wave, you will face about twenty to twenty-five Elites. I will be urging you to use the Grenade Launcher for the "J.H. Death Machine" challenge but you should have that completed by this point. Try to stick to the DMR and AR for the Elites since those two weapons tear through them in 2X Score Attack. Hopefully this will be just enough to get you to forty but you might end up short a few kills and be stuck going for another round of 2X Score Attack.

Flat Tire - Kill 5 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking. - 2000cR
Hopefully, today, this challenge will only take a game of two depending on what gametypes you get. First off, you will need to be on the map Holdout. This map is the best one for getting vehicle kills as it is guaranteed to spawn at least three Banshees a game, though five is not unheard of. You cannot play 2X Score Attack, which is best for the "Demon" challenge, while getting vehicle kills since they just do not work for the challenge. Instead, aim for Sniper, Rocket, or FRG Attack in that order as Sniper is the best one for the challenge. Make sure you have the game last the entire time to maximize your Banshee kills. The Banshees spawn about every two and a half to four minutes. The quicker they die, the quicker a new one spawns.

J.H. Death Machine - Kill 70 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Grenade Launcher. - 1250cR
To some, the Grenade Launcher is just a frustrating weapon which is difficult to aim and lacking any real firepower. Though it can be very effective in several modes, it is actually a great weapon, depending on your map, for 2X Score Attack. You will be playing this anyway for the "Demon" challenge and the Grenade Launcher is one of your loadout options. Clearly, you will want to aim for clusters when using this weapon as there is an area effected with each shot. You do not have a lot of ammunition so you need to be mindful of the location of ammo crates. You should have no trouble hitting this in a single game, but make sure that you get a lot of kills during the early waves.
More than a Handful - Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 2500cR
A guide is really not needed for this challenge today as you will be playing at least fifteen games of multiplayer Matchmaking for the "Who's the Big Winner?" challenge. As long as you get at least nine to ten kills a game you should have no problem hitting a hundred and twenty-five kills. It is likely, however, that you will need more than fifteen games today so really do not worry about this challenge.

Katanarama - Kill 1 enemies using the Energy Sword in Firefight Matchmaking. - 1000cR
It is not difficult to get a kill with an Energy Sword in Firefight Matchmaking. The difficult part is acquiring the Energy Sword. These weapons are only carried by Elites and typically only by Elites that arrive in the final wave of a round. Regular Score Attack always has one Elite in the Final Round with a sword, but you can also typically score one in 2X Score Attack as long as you are on a small map like Corvette. Just make sure there are other enemies around for you to kill before you get the sword and you will be fine.

Iron Will - Complete a Campaign mission alone on Heroic or harder with the Iron Skull on. - 2500cR
The Iron Skull, when you are playing solo, causes you to have to restart a level whenever you die. Since this only needs to be on Heroic, you can really do any level. Taking it slow will be the best method of attack to go without dying. If you want to try and get through it as fast as possible, Nightfall is you best option, as usual. A guide to speedrunning through the level can be seen right here. This method should take you about seven to ten minutes to complete.

Who's the Big Winner? - Win 15 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. - 3000cR
Yikes, fifteen wins in a single day. I really do not understand how this challenge is only worth three-thousand credits as you could be at this all day and still not score fifteen wins. You may end up playing thirty or so games for this challenge so make sure you take care of "Iron Will" and "Katanarama" first. Then, just start playing whatever gametypes you enjoy and are good at. Plan on playing a lot, but do not do it all in one sitting. Take breaks often and try to play with friends so the time passes faster.
