Description

andnbsp;Assists in the installation and maintenance of plant systems and subsystems. Performs repairs and maintenance in plant of office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspection to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Uses hand and power tools. Test equipment.
Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings and specifications.
Participates in the maintenance, modification or overhaul of plant equipment.
Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks.
Complies with all safety requirements.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in an engineering discipline or related technological field.
In lieu of formal education, at least 8 years of directly related experience.

Must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance with a successful CI polygraph examination.

Must have comprehensive knowledge of the building trades, codes and regulations.
