करीब दो वर्ष पूर्व मैंने एमटीएस के दो कनेक्शन लिए थे. एक घर के लिए दूसरा बाहर अपने साथ रखने के लिए. आज दोनों सिर्फ कॉल रिसीव करने के काम आ रहे हैं. उनमें टॉप अप डलवाने की हिम्मत नहीं होती. कारण...?....जब भी पैसे डलवाता हूं कम्पनी बिना मुझसे पूछे कोई न कोई सर्विस एक्टिवेट कर बैलेंस शून्य कर दे रही है. कस्टमर केयर से बात करने पर एक दो दिन स्थिति सामान्य रहती है फिर वही खेल. जनाब 10 रूपये तक बैलेंस नहीं रहने देते. तंग आकर मैंने उन्हें रिचार्ज कराना ही छोड़ दिया. करीब-करीब सभी निजी मोबाइल कम्पनियों की यही हालत है. रिलायंस, रिम आदि तमाम कम्पनियों के उपभोक्ता परेशान हैं. उन्हें कोई उपाय नहीं सूझ रहा. 2 जी स्पेक्ट्रम घोटाले के बाद यह प्रवृति अपने चरम पर पहुँच गयी है. प्रतीत होता है कि स्पेक्ट्रम के आवंटन के लिए उन्हें जो भारी रकम रिश्वत के रूप में देनी पड़ी है अब वह उपभोक्ताओं की जेबें काटकर उसकी क्षतिपूर्ति कर रही हैं. उपभोक्ताओं को बेहतर सेवा देना एक नारा भर रह गया है. दूसरी समस्या विज्ञापन वाले एसएमएस और कॉल्स की है. कई कॉल तो ऐसे हैं कि आपने गलती से रिसीव कर लिया तो आपका मोबाइल बैलेंस जीरो पर पहुंच गया. अब आप सर धुनते रही. कहीं कोई सुनवाई नहीं होगी.
पता नहीं सरकार ने उन्हें इतनी छूट क्यों दे रखी है. आज जबकि समाज के हर आयवर्ग के लोग मोबाइल का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं. उपभोक्ताओं के हितों की रक्षा के लिए सरकारी स्तर पर पहल ली जानी चाहिए अन्यथा उपभोक्ताओं की तरफ से ज़मीनी आन्दोलन किया जाना चाहिए ताकि सरकार और संचार मंत्रालय की नींद टूटे.

Medical Astrology is that branch of Astrology dealing with Health. The 12 Signs of the Zodiac are linked to the Twelve Limbs of the body. The Ascendant rules the Head and the 12th House, the Feet. The Law of Correspondences of Classical Philosophy has another term "The Doctrine of Signatures". This doctrine states that objects - animate and inanimate - are governed by planets and Classical Astrology has taken this concept beyond "The Law of Cause and Effect" and has defined it as Archetypal or Psychological.
Reflections of the intrinsic qualities of the planets can be seen in people, plants, animals & minerals. All that we see, touch, consume & harvest has a correspondence. By knowing our own planetary signature, we can consume those materials which correspond to our planetary signature and thus a healthy balance can be maintained. (In my horoscope, Jupiter is posited in Cancer and hence powerful in positional as well as directional strength. If I am afflicted by any sort of disease, the escape route is the Jupiterian Way - viz consuming more vegetables and fruits, as he rules fruits and vegetables. If I do that, I will be implementing what the Great Seers said long ago "Naturopathic food is medicine and medicine is food" )!

If the 6 H is afflicted, there can be digestive tract disorders. Natural malefics in the 6 H may create hyperacidity and gas trouble. Affliction either to the 7th house means disorders of the digestive tract, hyperacidity and gas trouble (Papa Saptamagah Tadodara Ruja). The same holds good for the 6 H (Papa Shashtagatha Tadodararuja). If the 6 H or the 7 H is afflicted, one should be very careful about the body's acidity level. The body's PH value should be kept at 7. Anything less than 7 is dangerous. The 80% alkaline nature of the body should be kept up & acidity should not be above 20%. The best foods to be taken are Vedic Foods, which are low acidity, low cholesterol diet.The Acidity - Alkalinity ratio should be kept at 80% -20%. That ratio can be maintained if you consume 100 grams fruits and 300 grams vegetables daily and avoid non-natural food. Natural foods are alkaline and non-veg basically acidic. From experience, it can be discerned that not only malefic planets bring in problems from enemies, but also problems to the stomach (Pape Shashtopagathe Vrina Bhayaschora Satru Peeda Cha).
If the 12 H is afflicted by malefic planets, there can be affliction to the feet. We have seen many a patient suffering from 12 H affliction and which manifests as problems on the feet.
Similarly, 4 H affliction means trouble to the Heart. I knew one patient with heart problem who had the North Node in the Fourth. He had a heart surgery. The North Node in the Heart region in the horoscope had effectuated this problem.
There are some astrologers who take this from the Horoscope of the Cosmic Man, that is from His Ascendant Aries. This method also yields results but from our experience, we follow the dictum of Natal Astrology that it is the Ascendant of the native which is the head and the Descendant the stomach region. I know many an astrologer who follow this from Aries Asc & if a malefic is posited in Virgo, in the 6 H of the Kalapurusha (Cosmic Man), he predicts stomach problems for the native. (Kalanarasya Avayavath Purushanam Kalpayeth). Or if a malefic is posited in Taurus, he predicts wounds on the face for the native.
Affliction to any house indicates affliction to the corresponding part of the body. North Node - or any other malefic - in the Sixth is indicative of stomach trouble & ulceration. Fourth house affliction means that the heart is afflicted and first house affliction means that the head is afflicted. (Pape Lagnagathe Parajaya Bhaya Siroruja)

From experience, Vedic Medical Astrology is found to be very accurate. In my father's horoscope, he had a specific yoga for Arthritis with Jupiter in Libra Asc and Saturn in Aries. My mother has Saturn in the 12 H; she has a problem in the leg. My co-brother has Mars in the 12 H; he is suffering from some nerve problem on the feet. I personally have the North Node in the 6 H and I have hyperacidity and gas trouble (Papa Shashtagatha Tadodararuja)!

स्टार न्यूज़ पर निर्मल बाबा की अग्नि-परीक्षा कार्यक्रम देख रहा था. उसमें निर्मल बाबा का विरोध करते हुए एक सज्जन ने कहा की गाय को रोटी खिलाना तो ठीक है लेकिन गधे को घास मत खिलाइए. सवाल उठता है कि क्या गधा जीव नहीं है. उसे आहार देना गलत है. कुत्ते की पूंछ पर भी उन्हें आपत्ति थी. जीव-जंतुओं के प्रति दो भाव रखने वाले लोग जब धर्म और अध्यात्म की बातें करें तो इसे क्या कहा जाये. एक बच्चा जब निर्मल बाबा के पक्ष में कुछ बोलना चाहता था तो उसे यह कहकर चुप करा दिया कि उन जैसे बुद्धिजीवियों के होते हुए बच्चे से क्या पूछते हैं. यानी वे स्वयं को आध्यामिक और बुद्धिजीवी दोनों मान रहे थे. दूसरे पक्ष को वे कुछ बोलने ही नहीं दे रहे थे. यह गैरलोकतांत्रिक आचरण था. मेरे ख्याल में तो वे न आध्यात्मिक हो सकते थे, न बुद्धिजीवी और न ही लोकतान्त्रिक. बुद्धिजीवी सभी पक्षों की बातें ध्यान से सुनते और अपने तर्कों के जरिये अपनी बात मनवाते हैं. वे तो पूरी तरह पूर्वाग्रह से ग्रसित और ईष्यालु किस्म के व्यक्ति लग रहे थे. एक और आपत्तिजनक बात यह कही गई कि समस्याओं से घिरे कमजोर बुद्धि के लोग ही निर्मल बाबा के पास जाते हैं. इस बात से इनकार नहीं किया जा सकता कि लाखों लोग निर्मल बाबा को मानते हैं और किसी न किसी रूप में उनसे जुड़े हुए हैं. तो क्या सभी कमजोर बुद्धि के लोग हैं. यदि यह विचार व्यक्त करने वाले कुशाग्र बुद्धि के हैं तो उनके पीछे कोई जमात क्यों नहीं है. कुल मिलाकर तीन घंटे के इस कार्यक्रम का कुछ फलाफल नहीं निकला. एक तरफ यह स्वीकार किया गया कि तीसरी आंख अथवा छठी इन्द्रिय का अस्तित्व होता है. महाभारत के ध्रितराष्ट और संजय का उदाहरण दिया गया. यह हर व्यक्ति के अन्दर किसी न किसी मात्रा में मौजूद रहता है. उसे कभी-कभी घटनाओं का पूर्वाभास होता है. पशु-पक्षियों में यह और अधिक विकसित होता है. तभी तो वे प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के समय विचित्र हरकतें करने लगते हैं. योग साधना के जरिये इसे और जागरूक किया जा सकता है. लेकिन निर्मल बाबा के पास इसके जागरूक होने पर सवाल उठाया गया. समस्याओं के निदान के उनके बताये गए उपायों की खिल्ली उड़ाई गई. सवाल उठता है कि क्या अन्धविश्वास की शुरूआत निर्मल बाबा से हुई और इसका अंत भी उन्हीं से होगा. यहां तो हर कदम पर अन्धविश्वास के प्रतिमान भरे हैं जनाब. और भक्तों से मिली रकम का किस बाबा ने निजी इस्तेमाल नहीं किया. बाबा रामदेव आज यदि 11 सौ करोड़ के मालिक हैं तो कोई खेत बेचकर संपत्ति नहीं बनाई है. आसाराम बापू या उन जैसे बाबाओं का पूरा कुनबा अपने भक्तों के सहयोग से ही करोडो-करोड़ में खेलते हैं. क्या ऐसा कोई बाबा अभी मौजूद है जिसे भारतीय अध्यात्म का आदर्श पुरुष कहा जा सके. अध्यात्म की गहराइयों में उतरे हुए महात्माओं का यहां क्या काम. वे अपने आप में मस्त किसी गुफा किसी कन्दरा में पड़े मिलेंगे. निर्मल बाबा सिर्फ समस्याओं से घिरे लोगों को उससे निजात पाने के उपाय बताते हैं. बहुत ही आसन उपाय. यहां तो ज्योतिषाचार्य लाखों के रत्न पहनने की सलाह दे डालते हैं. मान्त्रिक सवा लाख जाप करने के नाम पर हजारों रूपये ले लेते हैं. तांत्रिक भरी-भरकम रकम लेकर अपनी सेवाएं प्रदान करते हैं. फिर निर्मल बाबा ही क्यों. और लोग क्यों नहीं.

आज तक चैनल पर निर्मल बाबा का इंटरभ्यू उनपर लगे आरोपों का खंडन नहीं बन पाया. किसी सवाल का वे स्पष्ट जवाब नहीं दे सके. इस दौरान उनके चेहरे पर नज़र आती बौखलाहट इस बात की चुगली खा रही थी कि वे कोई पहुंचे हुए महात्मा नहीं बल्कि एक साधारण व्यापारी हैं. एक साधारण मनुष्य जो प्रशंसा से खुश और निंदा से दुखी होता है. जिसे राग, द्वेष जैसी वृतियां प्रभावित करती हैं. वे आरोपों का शांति से जवाब नहीं दे सके. यदि उनकी छठी इन्द्रिय सक्रिय है तो क्या उन्हें इस बात का पहले से इल्हाम नहीं हो जाना चाहिए था कि वे विवादों से घिरने जा रहे हैं. इल्हाम होता तो वे इसका सामना करने के लिए मानसिक रूप से तैयार होते और चेहरे पर कोई भाव आये बिना इसके निराकरण का मार्ग तलाश लेते. विवाद उठने के बाद दो दिनों तक उनका चुप्पी साध लेना इस बात को इंगित करता हुआ कि जो कुछ हुआ वह उनके लिए अप्रत्याशित था. उनका इंटरभ्यू देखने के बाद मुझे मजाज़ का एक शेर याद आ गया-

Mamata Banerjee even insisted on the withdrawal of the Joint Forces from Jungle Mahal, in her election Manifesto. Then she went back on her word after she was elected. If there was ever a two timing liar in Bengal politics, Mamata Banerjee wins the award, hands down. Surrounded by a flock of sycophantic grease balls, Mamata Banerjee has exposed her hollow pronouncements about “bringing back democracy” to Bengal, within a short span of six months, by unleashing the Joint Forces on the Maoists and the people of Jungle Mahal.

From organizing the Lalgarh movement alongside his comrades in various mass movements and developing a tremendous savvy with the media, Kishenji was a stalwart Indian revolutionary, who dedicated his entire life to “serving the people.” He was responsible with his comrades, to set up the rudiments of peoples’ court, rural schooling systems, irrigation ditches, mobile hospitals and dispensaries.

The most important feature of a soap making business is going to be the legal disclaimers. You had better know what you are doing when you create your handmade soap. People can not just go out and buy the necessary materials, whip out a batch of soap, and then proceed to marketing or selling it. Always research and think the deal over before making your decision. If you do present your soaps in these shops, this can be huge. Try to provide some type of business card, or a website address about your soaps. Word of mouth is an enormous tool, and in bath shops it can be a viral one. You may not be able to sell your soaps in the store, but a nice presentation can yield results overnight that you never would have thought of.

Online advertising for your soap business is not vital, but it could be if you are not quite cutting it in the "real world". Just think of the possible number of people you could reach with your soaps. The numbers are endless. Have a nice little website set up showing all of your soaps. A first impression of your site is the critical part of advertising online. This will decide if a single person will ever return. It is good to have a description along with your soap pictures. You could explain what ingredients are in the soap, what fragrances are in them, etc...

These are only a few things you could do for a soap making business. This is assuming that either you know how to make soap or that you take the necessary steps to successful soap making. Once you have reached that point of success it will be time for you to think about broadening your horizons. A soap making business can be a very lucrative field for anyone to get into. Types of soap to make are endless, and the amount of money to earn is only limited to your willingness to make the soap and put it in front of the eyes of people.

So who, you may ask, is White Star?

On face value, White Star is a character in the series of books The Blue Star Millennium and Quest for Genesis. Many readers,after viewing these books, have invariably asked the question "were these books channeled?"
Of course, that query begs another question, "What is channeling?"

Well, there are various possibilities, including the Channel being a vehicle for another entity to speak through them, or simply verbalizing their own subconscious thoughts. Hmmm, subconscious... Yes! But what about the super-conscious?

"There are several parts of your Essence living simultaneous lives. A part of you will always remain in the higher realms. This is your Higher Self, which is a spark of the Essence that permeates all of creation, and which is the Creator. You are all Sons and Daughters of this Essence, Co-creators of all that you see and experience."

Okay, from this point of view, isn't it possible that we are ALL capable of channeling these higher wisdoms? After all, isn't it just tapping into the higher force, the fountain of wisdom of which we are all a part? So why do so many of us choose to go to others to hear the messages?
Admittedly, in times of emotional trauma it's often comforting to go to others for guidance. Such experiences, perhaps, could be viewed as valuable stepping stones that eventually lead to the question "Are they any more capable of tapping into the source than you are?"

"Every individual has the potential to heal the planet and to help unify the people in co-operation and understanding. Every individual has the power of creative visualization. Each of you has the potential to use your power of thought to bring about change in your own environment. There is power in numbers and the more people who project positive thought-forms at the same time, the more powerful the effect. Now the future is in your hands. Put a little effort into creating the future that you desire, and you will achieve miraculous rewards. It is up to you!"

In that case, you may ask, why do we limit ourselves by incarnating on this physical plane at all? It is as though we have temporary amnesia of our true origins - our true divinity.

"You are on a wondrous journey of self-discovery. From the moment you separated from the Source you chose to go through certain experiences in order to learn and develop through these trials. It is not wise to seek the end of the journey prematurely. There is much to be gained along the way. Become engrossed in the excitement of your quest and you will suddenly realise that you are a Co-Creator in the Divine Plan. You create your own reality. You re-affirm your reality through your beliefs. If you dwell on the negative, you will manifest that negativity in your life. Similarly, if you concentrate on the positive, you re-affirm that reality, in your personal life, and throughout the universe."

So is it all positive, love and light? You would be right in pointing out that there seems to be so much negativity in the world. How does this equate with the above metaphysics philosophy statements? Hmmm ... perhaps we should ask the White Star.

"Each of us has a negative aspect of ourselves, although most of us would prefer not to acknowledge that darker side. The darker side can be so powerful as to form its own identity. We keep it alive through feeding it on a constant diet of negative thoughts and emotions. It can reach a stage where it will fight for its very survival, as a separate entity. If its existence is threatened, the Dark Side will come out from the shadows to confront us. It will try and destroy us if we allow it to do so."

Whew! Okay, so if we're honest with ourselves, we all have the potential for the destructive negative side of our nature to gain the upper hand. If this happens, how do we conquer that negative aspect?

"You cannot fight your negative side. The more you deny it, the more you empower it. The ultimate test is to accept and recognize the negative aspect of your Being. As long as you deny it, it will have power over you. When you accept it, you love it into submission. By merging with it, you transform it."

So why, I hear many of you ask, would we come to the Earth in the first place. Why come to a world where duality exists, where positive and negative forces are in perpetual conflict?

"The physical plane holds the greatest lessons. It is the ultimate testing ground. When trapped in the physical form, you are forced to confront your main obstacles to spiritual development. If you are able to conquer these tests while in the physical body, you make the
greatest progress spiritually."

You can either use your power of thought to manifest unity and harmony in your life, or you can add to the discord by allowing negative thoughts to dominate. Which is it to be? It is your decision. What is a domain name? A domain name is a unique name, kind of like an e-mail address is unique, which is registered in a database called WHOIS through an organization called Network Solutions, Inc. (NSI). The domain name corresponds to a unique set of numbers called an IP (Internet Protocol) address. The reason we use domain names instead of IP addresses is that they are closer to our language. It would be difficult to market a site like this: "Go to 64.233.167.99 or 216.109.112.135 to search the internet!" A much easier way to do this is to say "Go to www.Google.com or www.yahoo.com to search the internet!" (Both Google and Yahoo are trade marked by Google, Inc., and Yahoo, Inc., respectively).

A domain name points to a computer called a "name server". The name server knows that your domain name corresponds to your web hosting server's IP address and it routes the person who typed in your domain name to your web hosting server - to your web site. That is how people anywhere in the world can see your web site by typing your domain name.

In 1992, the National Science Foundation granted an exclusive contract to NSI to be the sole registrar of top level domain names. NSI also had a cooperative agreement with United States Department of Commerce ("DoC"). With no competition, consumers were at the mercy of NSI.

In 1998, NSI and the DoC amended their cooperative agreement to allow for competing registrars. NSI was forced to provide domain name registration to the competing registrars at wholesale prices, rather than the standard $34.99 annual fee. NSI still charges $34.99 per year.

In late 1998, the DoC assigned the responsibility of overseeing the transition to a competitive market for domain names and accreditation of new registrars to a new organization called the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

In 1999, ICANN began taking applications from companies who wanted to become registrars - and then capitalism took over: companies had to compete for business. Even with the positive effects of competition in the domain name marketplace, the process of internet domain name registration remains a mystery for many.

There are a lot of companies that want to charge you hundreds of dollars to do the simple task of domain name registration for you. There are some registration companies who will charge you $35 just to register a domain. And there are web site consultants who charge over $100 to do the work for you. But you can do it yourself in about 15 minutes and it can cost as little as $1.99 for a year. If you do some research, learn a little and work smart, you can save yourself some money - and some headaches.

I know that everywhere you turn you hear a lot of preaching about how to be prepared for your own natural disaster. At this point you might not even be listening to the advice anymore.
such as Katrina. The people who did not evacuate right away had very little time to collect and save anything. Most of the people we saw on the news left with the clothes on their backs, and perhaps an armful of belongings.
Even if you feel that you wouldn't be able to carry all that water or supplies with you in the instance of a quick and devastating natural disaster. Even if you feel it is a waste of time to put together supplies to last the 72 hours every government official recommends you have on hand. Even if you simply don't want to think about such a thing, there are a few things you really should have together and ready to go. Things that could mean the difference between picking up the pieces afterwards and not being able to.
Government officials say that you need enough food and water to last 72 hours after a natural disaster. This is for every member of your household. They say to have flashlights and a medical kit with the food and water, ready to be used if needed.
What else should you have sitting with your provisions? You won't have time to grab anything but what you can carry of this pile of provisions, so what should be there ready to go with you?
You should have an accordion file. In this file you should have copies of all your important papers.

Birth Certificates
Mortgage Records
Marriage Certificates
Social Security Cards
Insurance Policies
A photocopy of all of your Credit Cards and the phone numbers for contacting them
A list of all the important people you need to contact
Anything else you can think of that you wouldn't want to have to try and replace
Bank information, including account numbers and the banks phone number

Years ago my grandparents home burnt to the ground. They were able to get out, but only had time to grab one thing on the way out. Grandma grabbed her cat. Grandpa grabbed Grandma.
Their marriage certificate burned in the fire, along with all their other important documents. They were able to replace every document, over a very long period of time, except one, their marriage certificate.
The church they were married at had long burned down itself. The pastor who married them was deceased. The courthouse where the marriage certificate had been filed was gone as well. There was absolutely no record of them ever being married. Here they were with 3 children and 6 grandchildren and they couldn't even prove they were married.
What did they do? They had to get remarried. All of their children and most of their grandchildren attended, including myself, but it was a bitter sweet moment. Grandma was really hurt by the whole thing.
If my grandparents had had an accordion file near their exit path that they could just grab and run with then they not only would have avoided the entire 2nd wedding, but they wouldn't have had to deal with the stress they went through replacing the birth certificates, social security cards etc, without knowing the numbers or having the important information with them.
I saw many people in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina who had an armful of things they grabbed and ran with. How many of them, do you think, had a small file filled with all of their very important information?
What did Hurricane Katrina teach me? It's time to realize that no one is immune to a natural disaster. Even if something happens where you are unable to grab any supplies or that handy accordion folder, what about the disaster that happens where you do have the time to grab them?
To everyone affected by Hurricane Katrina, my heart aches for you, and my prayers are with you. To everyone who simply got to watch it unfold on the news, please prepare yourself. Make sure you have food and water for 72 hours per person in your household. Make sure you have copies of your important papers and information ready to go too. It might make the difference between having to put your life back together and not being able to put it back together.
