With their win over Notre Dame by a score of 42-14 the Alabama Crimson Tide became the first team to ever win back-to-back BCS Titles. Alabama won the 2011 title by a score of 21-0 LSU.

After scoring just 605 points during his 180 game, five season NBA/ABA career Mike D’Antoni headed over to Italy. He played for the Olimpia Milano professional basketball franchise from 1977 until 1990. During his 13 year career in Italy he helped his team win 5 Italian League titles, 2 Euroleague titles, 2 Cups of Italy, 1 Korac Cup, and 1 Intercontinental Cup. In the end he had become the Milano’s all-time leading scorer, and was listed as one of the 50 Greatest Contributors in Euroleague History.

After his playing career was over he became the coach of the then Philips/Recoaro (Sponsorship names) Milano from 1990-1994. He then moved on to lead another Italian team, the Benetton Treviso from 1994-97, and again in 2001-02. He has been a coach nonstop since his retirement as a player. In the NBA he has coached the Denver Nuggers, Portland Trailblazers, Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, and was just hired as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. He was named NBA Coach of the Year in 2005 while with the Suns.
